Claire Blair: Dinner here was great, as always. Amazing food, service and ambience. Was expecting to have steak frites but when that wasn’t on the menu we ordered the bison carpaccio and it was sooo good. The Congolese mussels and broth are so delicious and I’m always surprised how many are in there! Very filling. They have such a great liquor menu too, including hard-to-find Belgian Trappist beers, and Fortaleza tequila. Fun to sit at the bar and converse with the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Mark: Moules Frites - Congolaise - Probably the best/freshest/largest mussels I have ever had. Fries were kind of an afterthought and nothing special but would recommend getting a side of sourdough bread so you don't waste all the sauce.

Aimee & Jenna Hobbs: We were in Vancouver this past weekend and went to Chambar Saturday evening for dinner. Our server Dylan was just lovely. She was knowledgeable about the menu and able to help our thirteen year old who is celiac navigate each of the dishes that could be made gluten free. Several people at our table had mussels conglaise and really enjoyed them. My niece and I had the lamb which was delicious and my son had the steak and ate every single bite. We will definitely be going again! Thank you Dylan!

After 2 years, he was given the title of Forage’s Chef de Cuisine. He has run daily operations in the Forage kitchen since that time. Nicola Parker: Purebread is the best bakery in town (in the lower mainland even) hands-down and have THE best selection of goods. Went in today to pick up a birthday treat and the staff were super lovely in dealing with a minor mixup with the order, so kudos to the service team as well!

Victoria Spiterie: This is the best dessert bakery I've ever visited in my life, to date. It's truly a unique experience— being overwhelmed by the extensive and diverse selection laid out before you + the atmosphere is so warm, fun, and friendly. I personally love decadent sweets, this place does it right. We tried three different items on two separate occasions and both experiences exceeded our expectations.

Kaley Merritt: This is one of my favourite bakeries in downtown Vancouver. They have a large selection of freshly baked goods. They have even have a good selection of vegan items. Everything looks super delicious here and the cafe has lots of room for you to sit and get some work done or to hang out with friends and family and enjoy your time off.I got a latte and the raspberry cheesecake brownie for ~$10. shivani agarwal: Just happened to stumble across this place while strolling and I had the bestttt cookie of my life so far. Got a chocolate rosemary sea salt cookie and what burst of flavors it was with just the right amount of sweet and not overwhelming. Also what made it's fan was it's texture. It just crumbles when you take a bite and melts in your mouth. I will definitely try out more next time I am there. What a gem. The staff is friendly and the amount of options they had is crazy incredible.

Cassandra Muhly-Hempel: We are from out of town on vacation from Washington State. Waffles were amazing! We had a great time! Seating is a little small, but staff is very accommodating. The food was so so so so good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The store entrance is accessible to wheelchairs and walkers but once inside its pretty cramped. There is however outside seating with a heater where anyone who needs it can sit. There isn't really anywhere for babies or very small children. But our youngest is 8 and we were just fine. Mathew Roy: Great bread and pastries. Would not recommend food or coffee. The food always comes out tasting rather bland and the portion sizes for coffee are insane for what they charge. I go here often as I live right above and it’s easy access for when I need a quick caffeine and sugar rush for studying. However , if I didn’t live near, I would not go here.Today I went here and ordered an iced oat latte. I was charged 6.25 for a portion that was smaller than a tall size from Starbucks. Additionally, I asked the barista for honey syrup. I asked her twice to make sure it was syrup and not just plain honey. I saw her put plain honey. Furthermore , the barista did not stir the honey with a spoon to dissolve it in the cold liquid. I drank swirling pieces of honey as a result. She just plopped it in. Plopped it. Additionally , the coffee was sour and the milk was most definitely rancid. Finally, to seal the deal, the straws they give out break incredibly easily once put through the iced beverage lid.I highly recommend walking the extra block and going to the coffee shop “purebread”

Was intensely blocked from trying to use the washroom while I waited and quizzed what it was that I ordered so I could get permission to use the restroom. Connie Ono: If this is your first time visiting Vancouver, Miku would be my top recommendations on your itinerary list for places to eat. Now, this isn't your typical sushi restaurant, in fact, I would consider this to be fine dining and here's why.When it comes to Japanese food, presentation is the most important next to customer service level, and they are bang on. I absolutely love how intricate their sushi layered to simplicity on a plate. Reminds me of a zen garden. The waiters/ waitress' are knowledgeable of their dishes being served and super friendly! Dishes are, at minimum $20, but the portions are decently sized. (Anything with Wagyu will always be expensive).They do offer gluten -free and vegetarian dishes and non alcoholic drinks.(I had their Shiso Nojito and it was the most refreshing non-alcoholic I've ever had. Keith C: We had the 7 course Kaiseki dinner and were very impressed by the taste of most of the dishes. Also, the portion is very large and we found it quite heavy.Favourites are the insanely tender fillet, the Hokkaido scallop, oyster, and fresh sashimi.Few of the menu items were a miss, such as the Uni (Sea urchin) which we found not fresh at all. And sake pairing was late for one of the courses.Overall, this was a delicious meal and definitely recommended. We would have liked some lighter dishes that were not fatty-protein-focused, or slightly less portion for lower price (like the omakase platter at the end). Bring a large appetite if you are ordering this tasting menu!

t t: Sushi in Vancouver is an obvious choice and I visited Miku recently for the first time. Due to its popularity we weren’t able to get a reservation for dinner but came as a walk in at lunch time!! Great service and atmosphere, views right in the harbour. If you love sushi you 100% need to go here.

My ribeye steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the sablefish was also delicious. The surf and turf role was excellent and I would order it again. The view was also lovely during dinner.

Ava I.: I asked my partner to pick up some food from here. based off the menu on their website I told him to order the spicy mogo (cassava fries) and daal with roti.When my partner came home the order was totally not what I was expecting. The mogo was a large container of beef with mashed cassava and the daal was not yellow daal but rather split chana. When my partner asked for the spicy mogo the woman told him that they had chicken mogo and beef mogo, but were out of chicken, and she said they had one daal that came with roti and one daal that came with rice. This is completely inconsistent with when you order online, as it's very obviously the yellow daal and you are given the choice of rice or roti (it doesn't really make any sense why you can't just have your choice of any dish with your choice of rice/roti, they are all prepared separately), and the chicken/beef mogo dish isn't even listed. As well everything was ice cold, as it hadnt been made fresh but was instead made and refrigerated in the morning.I walked all the way back to the restaurant with the unopened food to try to get my order corrected. The woman there refused to offer me any replacements, claiming that she was "not allowed" to accept returned food (obviously you can't re-use it, but restaurants take back incorrect orders all the time) but that if I wanted I could buy more food. When I then requested she just refund the order, she claimed the till was closed (how would I have ordered more food then?). She kept saying she explained everything to my partner but clearly the menu is poorly organized and inconsistent with what is shown on their own website, and she did not take the time to properly understand what my partner was asking for or explain anything to them.Completely awful customer service, total lack of accountability, and lying/gaslighting. Total shame as I am a big fan of their menu but totally turned off by this treatment.

I was so impressed with the food! Tons of variety of foods and flavours are unbelievable! I’ve been to many African and Indian restaurants, but none of them taste is good as this one! If you’re planning to have a party and want to impress your friends, then I suggest you do catering from this place! These dishes and flavours are so worth to try! Now this is my favourite place!

Everything is good but some of my faves are the thepla, chevro, kaadi and kitchri, akni and daar. The lady there is so sweet too. Sarah Donnelly: We used Kilamanjaro Snack house at my place of work to cater a large buffet lunch for about 120 guests. They were able to put together a menu of their best dishes for us and answer any questions we had thoroughly. They supplied the rental of chafing dishes and came and set everything up in a timely manner. Farooq was very friendly, attentive and easy to communicate with. He also made a second trip to our office to provide us with disposable dishes to use to pack up the leftovers so no food went to waste. The food was very delicious, authentic and reasonably priced.
