Neptoon Records: what do users think?
Thomas Veith: Great service, and lots of inventory. Unfortunately, I found that most of the used record inventory was throw away - quantity over quality - It felt like rummaging through a salvation army and finding a few good titles mixed in with lots of filler. Also, several albums I was interested in were in very poor condition for the price. Most albums were a minimum of $10, which was not in line with what other stores in Vancouver were charging for used records, particularly based on the poor to average quality. In most other stores in Vancouver, I purchased tons of rare gems in excellent quality for competitive prices (Beat Street, Red Cat). At Neptoon, I only walked out with two albums and one of them was still sealed. The other was an average condition album on my checklist so I bought it. Again, I'm very pleased that record stores continue to exist, but of the eight stores in Vancouver I've visited over the past 3 months, this was my least favorite. Great service, very nice people in the store, but the prices are way too high for the quality of the merchandise. My advice is to reduce your prices for used albums and improve the selection and categorization. The categorization was quite poor; I spent most of 2 hours digging through miscellaneous letters whereas Red Cat and others had 90% of artists categorized so it didn't take me long to get through the inventory. I didn't look at the new album selection but there seemed to be a good quantity - so maybe this is a better place for new albums than it is for used. Your mileage may vary, but my experience was not a positive one.
Ronald Scherer: Large selection of records covering most genres. Good prices. The titles on my list were available (plus a few more catching my eye!).We enjoyed a delightful conversation with Rob. Thanks for taking time out for us.
joanne !: best record store in vancouver from my own personal knowledge and opinion. the overall atmosphere is very pleasant and has me feel at peace when browsing records. kind staff, and a wonderful, vast collection of used records like no other.
Frederick Schweig: Neptoon has a good selection of new and used vinyl. If you still collect CDs, moreover, they have a huge number of used CDs as well. Great little record store, albeit a bit cramped from them having so much in stock!
Grace Sheehan: These guys are INCREDIBLE and SO ACCOMODATING! Honestly, I can't recommend buying here enough. I bought online - they respond fast, and it's super easy to organise collection/delivery. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Vladimir Klimov: UwU
Andres Gomez: Great selection!
Francis Tan: Great selection. Great prices. Friendly staff. S-tier record store. Could use a better website though
Adam Wood-Gaines: Neptoon is the best. Best selection, best prices, best staff.
Robert Gill: Cool place lots of selection
D 30: Not the best selection for cds, I'm sure the vinyl is fairly sensible though.
Spin Cycle: The bee's knees! These guys live and breathe music. A must-stop if you're visiting.
Jesus Tostado: Great music selections
Erric Barinque: I recently started collecting vinyl and went to every vinyl store in Vancouver and this place is the best one in my opinion. They have a great selection of records at a very reasonable price. This is my go to place for records. The guy who is usually at the register is super nice as well and very helpful. Highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for specific records at a good price. 👌
R Switzer: Great place! 👍
Otty beach: Average disorginized
Liz Kitura: Always great selection and service
Barry Welsh: Cool atmosphere with knowledgeable employees
Paul Falardeau: Still my favorite shop in Vancouver. Good selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a its a record store that really captures that old school feel.
Ray Gee: Most reasonable prices in all of Vancouver!
Brad Toffler: Some of the staff are quite rude and have 'tude. Also, remember ' cleanliness is next to godliness'.

Audiopile: what do users think?
Sam Basi: Found the OG roots album, NOMAD, Rain Dogs and a few others on their website and couldn’t be happier ordering from this shop. Great communication with their team via email. The records were packed well and arrived in timely manner.
Robert Gillard: Typically they a great record store but I just bought a Smashing Pumpkins record there and it turned out to be a fake version/bootleg/counterfeit. Unofficial release of an official album! Not impressed!
William Knowles: Small commercial drive record shop. Great eclectic selection of vinyl/cd/tapes. Great local. Helpful staff.
Brad Toffler: Poor customer service. See the response below ( and their snarky attitude towards a legitimate complaint )for why I'm complaining about their customer service.
Greg Schuyler: Great records store! Lots of Used records that are well organized. They have 2 turntables to check out used stock. I always find some great things here. Staff is friendly and helpful.
D 30: Great for records, bleh for cds.
Gary Grennan: Audiopile has great selection and I find it easy to find what I'm looking for. Their stamp card program is THE BEST. They have great customer support by email. Mark and Corey have been their for a long time, they know their stuff and are always helpful. I recommend going into the store because the Audiopile website is a bit of a dumpster fire. This will always be the first place I go for music. Thanks to the whole team!

Erica Fritch: Tiny spot but full of great records. And an impressive 7" selection.
Robert Dale Horton: Very Great Place To Get JAMS*

Carole Estad: Overpriced.
Val Ush: It's great, find it hard to find vynils but the team is very helpful when help needed.
Neil Colaco: Very well maintained collection.

Corey Brown: Well curated stock, helpful staff.
Felipe Barros: Great shop with a solid selection and good prices. Excellent titles on the wall of $$$ as well =)
Annette Castell: Website information:Do you buy used CDs?Yes, though we tend to give a flat rate ranging from $1-2 for more common discs that are free of scratches. We give 50 cents for any disc that we can use that have light marks or scuffs. We are happy to negotiate higher pricing for CD collections that are deemed to be more collectible.THE ABOVE INFO IS NOT TRUE. I CAME IN WITH 90 CDs.THEY GAVE ME $5. THEY NEED TO UPDATE THEIR WEBSITE.NOT WORTH THE GAS AND TIME. GIVE LOCALLY. Since this post, the website has been changed.

Thomas Veith: Visited today from the Sunshine Coast and purchased 17 used albums and a couple of new Rammstein albums. My daughter and I had a blast, and I spent 2 hours going through the many vinyl records. Great selection and great quality. Simon Christopher: Tried to buy a record that was listed for sale. The salesperson refused to sell it to me as it would have required him to move something to get to it.

Highlife Records & Music: what do users think?
Bob Korzeniowski: The staff seem to have a great time there. I paid for a Gift Certificate and asked them to hold it so I could give it as a gift. When I came back to get it, it was no longer there, and neither was my money! Buyer beware!!
stephen olson: Nice place well organized like a music museum an with an air of the old and ancient radios and audio tech of the day.. ...good for memories and discussions of older music and bygone days.Good feel.. to the energy and although the place is small it is filled with the old energies of record stores. As well used records and tapes and music carry this place from the present to the past seeing things from an older mindset.Gone are the days of good music and great singing ....Thanks for the memories.
Karlie Marrazzo: A small store with an amazingly curated selection of cool, rare, weird, things you wouldn't see in other record stores. My partner and I dropped a few hundred dollars and found some really cool gems, awesome reggae selections and world music. I was so happy to see a small Italian section and bought a few records from it. I loved the rugs and something about the smell in the store just felt nostalgic and comfortable to me. 부귀boogui: The best record shop in Vancouver. It has great collection of records. The price is just so reasonable that you can get a great jem for the price of a burger combo. If you are vinyl lover, you should go and check out.
Rob: Dale's knowledge of music is incredible and he has a lot of great albums you probably won't find elsewhere! I'll definitely be coming back sooner then later.
Off Set: Wasn't open Wednesday @ 1:30pm. I'm not from here and ubered a long way to the store. Kinda sad.
Aaronoid Guitar: Helpful and knowledgeable owner, decent selection of mostly used, decently priced vinyl. Fun location in Strathcona on the Union Street Bike route off Main.

stephen olson: Interesting environs as it is not too expensive or pricey and the records clean and good condition reasonable service in interesting area.
Justin Deng: Walked in with a friend on a whim, and holy crap—was I educated on what music was to Dale. Dale was knowledgeable, straight-forward, and not at all hesitant to explain his views on what he thought was good music. The store was friendly, neatly kept, and had an expansive collection, which is unfortunately becoming more and more uncommon these days—a welcome and relieving surprise. I would 100% recommend checking out Noize To Go, record listeners or not—this is the place to start a collection and find out what music is to you. Thank you Dale.
Rhea D: Dale is knowledgeable, kind and very courteous. I had such a pleasant experience shopping in Noize to go. Can’t wait to come back 🎶

Matthew Yurechko: Even if i don’t end up buying anything I always have a great time hanging out at this store! The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable, he will also talk your ear off hahaPretty good selection for a small shop as well, almost exclusively used but the owner won’t hesitate to send you to another shop if you are looking for something he doesn’t have.
Patrick Schweers: I was just walking around Vancouver looking for a vinyl shop I hadn’t been to before and this place had it all. It’s all nicely displayed and categorized and decently priced. The owner is very knowledgeable about things and has many great stories related to vinyl and Vancouver. So if you’re looking for a good chill space to shop in this would be it.
Louis Lloyd: A ridiculously large collection of records for sale in a relatively small store - thankfully Dale has an great knowledge of what’s in stock and where to find it, as well as great knowledge of pretty much everything as well.

Chris Cutress: My favourite Vancouver used record store. Dale is a font of knowledge about the local alternative recording scene and has a lot of the old gems that you can't find anywhere else. When I have an impossible music request he always does his best to source the recording within the budget that I've given him.
