dewing70: Truck #28, plate #SH7114. Driver is completely reckless, tailgating extremely close to a car in a 3 ton truck. On April 17th 2023. Swearing at me when I stopped to ask why he was tailgating me, when I did a turn around he accelerated towards me to try to hit me. I called it in but know they never took it seriously. NO ONE has the right to put others lives at risk. This guy should not only lose his job but also his license. Horribly unprofessional.
NITYA NITYA: Positive:Responsiveness,ValueAwesome shredding service.Service:Waste recycling
William: It is a constant hassle to get them to do anything. Poor communication, always late or way too early. Very rude an unprofessional drivers. Took them 2 weeks to fix the locks they messed up in the first place, meaning I could not use their service for 2 weeks (removal of organics and garbage).Do not use this service unless you have to.
Adam David: Nice place. Parking is difficult but the staff is very helpful and accomadating.

Thomas Nies: The service is really rubbish. This company is either not answering the phone or they are super rude when they finally pick up.Nobody seems to actually care about the customer's needs.Avoid them if you can.
Michelle Allan: Do not choose this company!!! If you are already under a contract with them find out when it ends!!!They require NO LESS than 90 days written notice and NO MORE than 120days.They are the absolute worst. I swear no one even works at the customer service desk!!!!!
a lan wang: Worst services ever. Always delayed for trash pick up. Do not choose this company.
rick larsen: Great place to work great guys 🙂 friendly
R.J Peck: Aside from the bad smell that normally comes with these kinds of places and the confusing and unclear protocols for directing clients to appropriate dock or dump sites or retreiving scale tickets, this place can only gets worse..the extremely rude and hostile drivers are not only unhelpful but are on the verge of having a severe case of road rage " you know the look" too much coffee , work and methamphetamines probably dont help them either....heavy machine operators speak only in horn honks and furiously waving of arms which is entertaining if your not the guy trying to decipher the meaning of this language. However , there is a positive note to add . The young blonde eastern european girl that works in the dispatch office was not only helpful and positive she spoke the language of customer service ..which the rest of emoloyees i had contact with could use a lesson in...However pleasant my experience was , its not enough to keep my business or recommend to anyone..
Sydney Koby: Our company has only just started working with them, but they've gone out of their way to ensure that the transition from our old service provider to them has gone smoothly.
A S C X N S I O N: So this place has drivers that like to wake residents in Burnaby Heights up at 7:00 AM with their trucks idling outside people's windows, backing up repeatedly and smashing garbage containers around, almost like they don't know how to operate their trucks properly.
Mack Benz: Pushiest sales people I've ever met to the point of borderline hassling me. Felt scummy and annoying. Will never work with these guys after the sales pressure and tactics used on me.
gurveer sandhu: Recycling

Vancouver Zero Waste Centre: what do users think?
Cherry Cheng: **Closes at 4 on holidays and stats. Just want to spare anyone who may be checking this for that purpose some trouble (like what just happened to me haha). Not able to edit google hrs for only holidays. A great place, easy and friendly to recycle. Easy to pop by on your way to marine gateway for a movie or t&t.
Angela Chen: This place is so well run with very helpful staff!
Samantha Satish: Having this convenient place to easily recycle plastics, styrofoam, and electronics is one of the reasons I love living in this city! ❤️
Jeff B.: Friendly and efficient staff and a well-designed facility. Dumped all kinds of garbage for $18. Got rid of a pile of recycling too. Beats the heck out of going to Burns Bog landfill. Glad this facility opened.
Marlene Deith: A recent trip to zero waste Vancouver was a very positive experience. We read on-line what we needed to do prior to arriving; we encountered great staff who explained everything we needed to do in a kind and friendly way. Terrific! Thank you very much.
Ryan Carteret: Being a *zero waste* centre, one might expect the place to be easily accessible to those who seek to reduce their environmental impact, perhaps by taking public transport instead of driving a car. Yet there are next to no safe, constructed sidewalks anywhere near the entrance to said centre. Nevertheless, I traversed the grass and dodged the many vehicles to get there and drop off some plastics I’d collected from my less aware roommates, but not without some irritation. Here’s to hoping the flexible plastics trial goes well and the nasty stuff will soon be accepted in the curb-side bins where 99% of optimistic recyclers probably put it anyway.2022 update: I wrote this 3 years ago, and there’s still no safe way to get to this place as a pedestrian. Even just a marked crosswalk to the entrance would be greatly appreciated.2023: Still nothing
Sebastian Ortiz Vasquez: This places makes me want to keep and keep reciclyng
Jonathan Pearson: The folks at the zero waste centre really.saved my bacon. I lost my car keys while I was doing my recycling. I had unknowingly dropped them into the recalled film plastic bin. Because it was early in the morning, it was quiet and two of the workers helped me sort through the plastic bags until lo and behold the keys were found. Thanks a million guys!
Ron Kurian Roy: Best use of tax payer money. This place is simply amazing.
YY Kevin Lam: A place where we shall respect and precious.
E P: Very friendly staff 👍 Finally, I get rid of the broken garburator.
Jade Han: The staff here were lovely, and my house is now less cluttered! Buddy guy by the cardboard station (I didn't get his name, but I wish I did) had the best attitude and made my experience really fun and enjoyable! It was my first time, and he showed me how things were organized while cracking some jokes about me texting all my friends to come down- I did tell a few friends that THIS is the spot!Thank yall so much 💜
Christine Kwasnicki: Clean and well layed out. The staff are friendly and helpful. Long lines around rush hour!
Richard Hwang: Such a useful place for you to sort out your waste. Whenever you're in doubt, just ask the staff, and they'll tell you what you need to do. They will let you know if they don't take certain items. It's actually a fun place to go to, and it feels good to literally get things off your shoulders.
Ame S: They take filing cabinets, something that the Vancouver Regional Recycling Depo does not take. That's great!Thank you Vancouver Zero Waste!Located on Yukon St at Marine Dr, drive-in and unload. We went from Kent Ave. Suggest to approach driving North, watch as there may be a line up on the right side of the road.
Mac - PC Tech Total Solution: Good for recycle things
Greg Dombowsky: Usually not too busy. Takes electronics and lots of other items including plastic bags and wrappers
Joseph Lau: It's convenient and easy to bring most recyclable items there, very helpful staff and well organized spaces.
S Dot: Sometimes you realize your tax dollars are actually being put to good use and this place is an example of that. Super clean and organized with staff that is willing to answer your questions and direct you the proper receptacle.
Yusuke Ashida: Staff are all helpful, spontaneous, kind and friendly. Very organized place, I always have a satisfaction after visiting here.
Tsui-Fang Hu (Tracy): Super clean and organized. I went there on Saturday morning and it’s not crowded at all! My go to place to recycle all of soft plastic

Regional Recycling Vancouver Bottle Depot: what do users think?
Fashion world with Sukhwinder Kaur: Hi I want to ask about manager Satnam Singh at Cloverdale depot. He is good manager and hard worker. I was shocked to here that he has left the job.May I know the reason.
megan moore: second time ever going here (it was strictly due to time schedules) and it was pretty laughable. staff wernt helpful, they want you to do not just sorting (which I don't mind ) but counts as well. - I was under the impression this was part of their job?-I wouldn't recommend this place unless faced with closing times and your work hours of others being incompatible.my first experience posted below.after working a long day and sorting bottles it'd be nice if it wasn't up to the patrons to count for you.... that's what staff is for... isn't it? what stops anyone from adding extra onto their haul withstaff relying on customers to do half their job?my first time at this location and u quite liked being able to be outside in the sun doing what could be a monotonous job.- HOWEVER, after sorting for 1.5 hours and walking up to get them counted I was rudely asked "how many.... well don't you know?!" I said if she wanted me to count it will take me a min.... her response was "ur wasting my time"being my first time here I wasn't aware I was to have everything counted and just walk up with numbers. no where is that posted. though there is a sign that says staff will count. I'm sorry but I dont understand how someone working at a bottle depots time is wasted by counting bottles brought by patrons.as pleasant as being outside, the carts available and drive up option is.... being treated decently by staff at other locations seems a better deal
Ken I: Friendly staff and quick efficient service
Aviva Lactermam: This used to be a very comfortable user-friendly place to recycle with the possibility of going inside on rainy days to calmly sort out refundable on various counters they used to have, but first they removed the ones in the main sorting area and more recently removed the ones in the back area on the left where you go to get carts. It seems that they keep trying to "fix' what isn't broken. Most recently they took away another outdoor "counter-like area" where people used to sort stuff and now they replaced this whole area on the right hand side with metal structures the width of the carts that are supposed to direct "traffic" for getting these wheeled carts. They used to just push them on the left side and it was very simple to go and grab one. Well there is no problem getting these carts, but it has all of a sudden a new problem has cropped up! The plastic blue trays where cans and bottles are placed are now very hard to reach if a pile of them happen to be on the INSIDE lane of the carts. I had to climb over the metal structure and over an empty cart just to reach a bunch of trays that were piled on a cart on the inside lane. Again, why fix what was never broken? The depot should have been left the way it was two years ago when there were bins to sort plastics, paper products and garbage. All these bins were removed too as well as the little battery and electronics recycling place inside the depot on the right. Why?I don't understand what the reasons are for making all these unnecessary changes that only inconvenience the customer.
Moises T: Best place to recycle 😁
Ame S: Filing cabinets... FYII was told over the phone that they do not take them. How are we to dispose of one? There was no suggestion...Staff tried looking online but with no luck.We later found online that the Vancouver Zero Waste Centre does take them.Bravo!!! Located on Yukon St at Marine Dr, drive-in and unload. We went from Kent Ave - Approach driving North, watch as there may be a line up on the right side of the road.
Benelog: The depot is very organized, but i hate when there is no signs that say a maximum of bottles in each bag… Are you serious? I had to count bottles for 3 hours not knowing there was a maximum of 150 each bag and i had put over 300… depot needs to upgrade their signs and make it visible so everybody can see it… I get confused everytime i go there.
Derek Jay: Regional Recycling is the best recycling center. This location is not my favorite, but they give full deposit unlike some other bottle depots.
Ricky Lui: Easy access to drop off recyclable items and staff are friendly and helpful.
Marc C.: Lots of parkingE-Waste and metal recycling next door to Bottle Depot.Friendly / polite employeesNever a long line up or wait time.
arthur Corber: Great system awesome staff. Helpful friendly
chocolatejosh666: They do not recycle motor oil even though someone else's review said that they probably do.... and there's a giant line up of people with shopping carts full of empty beer cans on Sundays so be ready for a wait.....
MP Cat: They have lots of carts and trays to cater to their customers. Staff are friendly and fast lineup. The cashier has great customer service! I love how they offered coffee for us. Recommend this place and will come back again.
eric leathers: I brought in a big orange bag so full it couldn't be tied of crushed 4L milk jugs, liquor bottles and beer cans. They only gave me $6.50. RIP OFF!!!!! Unfortunate since I live 1/2 a block away.
Nikki Thurgood: It is a good place to drop off most items. Like empties electronics and such
Victor Austin: Was awesome, very nice to let us use their toilet. Most bottle depots close their washrooms. They also have warm water. Other bottle depots shut off their hot water. Nice to wash our hands with warm water.
Victor Li: One of my go to places to return my empty bottles, cans, milk products. Always a hassle free and easy experience. Keep up the great work.
Dean Foggin Foggin: Good recycling service.
davin boutang (Dr.D): amazing staff and owners and managers cares about environment and the binners
Rex W: High efficiency with diffent materials to drop off.easy off👍
Nick Smith: Thank you and I'm a 3 year employee.

Go Green Bottle Depot & Recycling: what do users think?
Cathy Spitznagel: Been going for eleven years, never felt shorted ever. Don't criticize workers unless you have been in their shoes. Don't show up with not enough time to sort your stuff before quitting time. Nobody wants to work without being paid, duh. Be polite and patient, don't try to cut the line, we don't like that. Just saying.
trewytt hallock: great place to be
Anb Bna: The short Asian lady works at a glacial pace, halfway through counting she forgets the count and has to re-count, gets distracted and has to re-count, checks the label, forgets the count and has to re-count …Took her 15 min to pay me $5, so it’s a great waste of everyone’s time, goes through maybe $20 -$30 worth of refund per hour. She gets paid for all this is a miracle.
Jessi Caps: I arrived at 4:40 with a few bags of bottles and the lady told me that, although they say they’re open until 5 and people were still inside sorting bottles, the doors close at 4:30 and they don’t let anyone in. She absolutely wouldn’t let me sort even a few, and since I’d walked quite a ways with them the bags were ripped so I didn’t want to take them home. In the end I asked her to give them to someone inside, but am pretty upset this place wouldn’t help me out.
VanDwelling ForHumanity: Not only do they offer full exchange rates, but Jess was extremely helpful. My van was packed and she brought out a large bag on a pallet jack that I happily overfilled. I arrived later than I should have for how slow I was sorting, but thankfully her bf was there waiting for her and for a small fee he helped me sort things out before closing time (though I'm sure that's not one of their services). I just want to thank you guys for making a huge burden so easy to deal with! Happy holidays!
John Fellows: It's getting better and easier all the time. Great service
Christopher M: They just take cans and bottles. No other recycling. Watch your personal stuff. Full of thieves and junkies. Bring a pair of disposable rubber gloves. You will thank me. The crates you need to fill have every disease known to man.
Anu Woolley: Do not return items here if you are using the Return It Express service, this place is not reliable! My items have been undercounted many times, including entire large large bags of 50+ containers, and their new bag label scanning service has not resolved the problem. Go to the Mount Pleasant depot on Broadway instead, never had any issues there.
Gary Zhan: Very clean, honest and efficient 👍👍👍
Dorothy Wong: This place is good. For a bottle depot, it is always, I mean always going to smell of stale beer and spirits... it is what it is. There is always soap and paper towels to wash up afterwards. And the counters are always kept fairly clean.! With the broadway line construction, it has changed the direction to get there. Lines move fairly quickly... so no long wait times.
Edward Lee: Very friendly and efficient service
Octavio Rodriguez: During these covid times, it's difficult to return empty bottles & cans to the store where they were purchased. In comes Go Green Bottle Depot & Recycling, where you can bring your empties for a refund. This place is busy, but everything moves relatively fast. It will help if you separate cans from alcoholic beverages from those of juice & pop, not necessary now to remove lids from bottles. They have recently started accepting plastic milk containers. Organizing your recyclables will help the staff there, and as soon as you bring them to the counter they will count your empties very quickly. You can also bring electronics, batteries and other recyclables to this location. Check their website for details and hours.
Sera: Been there twice in the past year and each time the place was clean, with helpful and organized staff. It's my preferred location despite being a bit harder for me to get to from my place.
Lana Banana: I like the place it's close to my home and easy place to take my bottles in
Moises T: Fast efficient lady, very attentive and smileyClean organized place
Jake Van Reet: Nobody there during posted business hours
Gregory McCay: They have an “Express Bottle/Container DropOff” in which you register online—your phone number, email address. You bring in your bottles/containers in a clear sealed plastic bags. When you come to facility, you enter your phone number into a little device, enter number of bags—& you get personalized labels to stick onto bags. Then you just leave bags. Staff will empty bags/ count/sort—& then e-transfer $$ refunds to your email address. Most folk choose to bring in their empties, count & sort them into plastic trays—then collect their bottle refunds in cash.
Roger Haskins (Nighthawk): For a place that's suppose to open at 8:30, staff saunter in at 8:45
Jan Three Suns: Very clean , oriented , friendly ,staff new what they were doing.🍻🇨🇦😁🏳️‍🌈
Andrew Wade: A little warning -- they were closed at least 20 minutes early (4:40pm) the last time I tried to return something. So maybe don't believe the open/close times.

Free Geek Community Technology Centre: what do users think?
Han Sol Jin: Respect for everyone running this place. It's awesome what you did for the community and the environment. It's a shame it all comes to an end. Thank you guys. It was a good time.
Sarah Rose: I was really sad to hear Free Geek is closing at the end of the month. Not just because they saved me in a pinch several times when I was working with older tech, helping me find specific parts, but because they provide an essential service of bringing computer access to some of our city's most marginalized. The store was delightful, and will be deeply missed. I know there are others like me that believe in the social and environmental good done here, and I hope there is a way Free Geek can live on. Thanks for everything!
inch3r: Absolute horrible staff, and very rude never going again
Christian Serban: sold the computer I bought online to someone else then when I bought another one from there they didnt give me a power cable so its useless
Peter Gordon: FreeGeek is an awesome community organization and the best place to recycle your old computer gear.
Anthony Hebb: Recycle it it's worth it
Pinchas: amazing organization!I got a amazing deal on a laptop!I will definitely recommend this place for any of your computer needs
Vahid Ghafarpour: Free Geek Vancouver was registered in on December 6, 2006.We started with a small number of volunteers who strongly believed in the social and environmental good of reusing and recycling unwanted computers, and have grown to an organization with 8 employees and over hundreds of new volunteers every year.We are one of several autonomous Free Geek organizations located throughout the world. Our mission and principles were modelled after the original Free Geek which founded in Portland, OR in 2000.
Jean Austin: It's ok. Alley entrance but it works. Good staff.
c k: In 2018, I experienced sexism/racism that occurred at one of their free drop-in days. I’m sharing this experience so that other women of colour use their discretion in accessing this resource. I brought in a laptop with an internal battery that needed replacing. The older white male who helped me thought I was stupid for being unable to open the laptop and replace the battery by myself. He said to me: “I know I shouldn’t be saying this but it’s lucky that you’re pretty.” He was not joking, he was dead serious. But even making that joke would be gross. Ironically, he recruited another older white male to help open the laptop up and they both couldn’t identify exactly what battery model it was I needed. My laptop was open on the table, I wanted to leave but was scared my laptop would leave in a worse state. Various male volunteers and staff went into the space and overheard and saw I was upset - no one said anything. I contacted the owner a while later and his response was negligible. Nothing was done to rectify the situation or to prevent other women from experiencing this discrimination.
john beardshall: Can get new laptop on sale from bestbuy for not much more then old one without windows from geeks not to mention rude staff
David Mitchell: Really really great place to try for pc parts. Used but always working, free geek rules!
awesomeboxlord: Good place, got my keyboard from there
Trevor Lahey: Bad vibes, overpriced used computers and they don't like people buying parts.
Nicolas Gregoire: Absolute amazing service for my PS4 which was experiencing freezing issues. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and implement a solution in no time at all. The number 1 tech centre in Vancouver!
Zack Howie: I've been patronizing this wonderful store for years through donations and through the Thrift Store. When I first walked up the narrow, winding staircase to the unsuspecting second-floor room of the Thrift Store, I didn't know what to expect, but I had heard from fellow nerds that it was an amazing resource for hardware. Any computer enthusiast will begin drooling upon seeing the selection of components, not to mention the wonderful support the Free Geek provides for open source software. I have also completed a few orders and donations since Covid, and I have to say the organization adapted wonderfully to the evolving situation, though it is not the same as being physically present. I also visited the Free Geek's well-organized presentation at LTX 2019, where they were very informative and approachable. I appreciate the Free Geek's stewardship of computer hardware, through recycling and resale, and I will continue to support them as long as possible.
Gordon Glaze: Professional staff that sell excellent technology at bargain prices !
Robert A.: Though I have not purchased from them, I have donated over the years, $1000's of used or hard to sell new/aging stock from the Computer business I used to own. I love their mission and intentions.
Joseph Liang: Came in looking for a graphics card, and the staff was able to immediately find something suited to my needs. I needed something equivalent to a GT 1030, and they sold me a GTX 650ti for $45. Definitly coming back!
Kyla- Rose: I love this place so much. I've purchased several lap tops from here over the years, received incredible free support to switch my OS to Ubuntu and volunteered here for a short time as well. The minerals that are mined to create new electronics are socially and environmentally horrible and places like Free Geek help mitigate the damage. Staff are amazing!
Michael Hart: They need too open up like the rest of BC and get with the program. even allow people to come in even with mask and distancing. this is ridiculous. there board of directors wont allow them to open up there shop. they just lost another unsatisfied customer. i would advise people to go to another pc shop that has common sense. shame on free geek. seriously, end this nonsense!
