Coast Mental Health: what do users think?
Leon Mvukiyehe: I enjoyed my time at Timber Grove. As a practicum student, it was for me a great opportunity to learn from a great team of people who are understanding and very supportive. I am grateful especially for the caring management, always present and ready to give guidance, orientations, and constructive feedback, this made my job very light and easy. I enjoy working with people and this job wasn’t a job that I stressed about doing. I enjoyed it, as it was rewarding.
Jacquie Kaszas: I live in a Coast Mental Health so called supportive housing facility. There is no support given hear or any of the othe stuff they have posted as, their vision, what they offer the community and so on. What they offer is straight up lies to the public but BC HOUSING knows this and just keeps handing them contracts so they can bring in more cattle. Not humans or certainly not treated like them and neither are their staff. We are all underlings to this corporate Non Profit Society

Telephone: +1 604-872-4902

Business type: Social services organization

Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Vancouver-Fraser Branch: what do users think?
Reignman: The British woman on the phone is quite unprofessional. Instead of listening to clients she uses limited knowledge of your situation to inject her nonsensical advice in a confrontational tone. Not a good look, lady.
phyllis dixon: I arranged a fundraising site on Facebook for CMHA Vancouver Fraser. There was some concern that the funding was being received so I contacted the Vancouver office of the CMHA on Quebec in Vancouver.I’m elderly and stuttered when trying to explain the situation. The receptionist with a British accent was exceedingly rude and put me through to someone with “more authority”. It was a voicemail set up in October ( this is December). I called back and she stated she didn’t know he'd gone out and hung up. I phone again to ask if they really wanted the donations and her line had gone to voicemail which also provided options. I chose an option which also went to voicemail. In each case I left my name and number. I have had no response.I’ve written Facebook to have the donation option removed - once I’m certain the donations are confirmed as received or returned to the generous donors. How important is a receptionist?
Howard Reid: I volunteer for bicycle tours for this organization. I think their Ready, Set, Connect program is ideal for many people.
Seán Tripp: So far these people have been a godsend... I literal one-stop-shop resource of information. All of the counselors have dealt with the bureaucratic frustrations and have an empathetic ear.
Frank Reiter: These people do SUCH good work.
Cory Stevens: The secretary with the dark hair was rude and unhelpful. I tried to ask about the programs, but she refused to tell me and just directed me to the website. I left very disappointed.

MPA Society: what do users think?
stephen olson: Good place for1 mental health clients.2 people who need a drop in and shelter and need to speak to a counselor or home advocate homeless advocate etc.
Mister Mister: Im moving there soon and the bad reviews make me hate this place.
Matt Amy-Graham: Want to apply for employment here.
Lyle Lexier: Very good drop-in. They have free coffee and tea, good snacks, 50¢ breakfasts, $2 suppers, outings, bingo, gardening, etc.
Robin Massey: MPA Society offers FREE laundry services to its members as well as very inexpensive meals and free coffee & tea, computers are available, TV, and you can socialize with other people.
Pradéép Raj Singh Takhar: Always Felt Warmly To Visit The MPA ...Since 1998 When The RC Was Situated On 4th Avenue, In The West Side.
P Nguyen: Great service they provide for their residents. All staff kind and place is beautiful.
Ivan Puccinelli: Great member club!!
Alexander Freedom Wyatt Krantz: Could not help for housing and staff looked over worked.
Jean e Leblanc: Good staff , and not too busy of a place
Chas Frazer: This place is a model for how to address mental health issues. With dignity! Give to a worthy cause. See website.
Jerome Mpyisi: Nice!
Anthony Preston Guitar: Not the best place to go to if you are looking for help.
Lisa Warsh-Chartier: Thanks to this place my friend had a special place to hang out and eventually work in. 💜
pinni milkson: Excellent
Alan MacPhee: Respite from the chaos.
Lyle Leger: I enjoy going to the Motivation, Power, and Achievement society. Their meals are reasonably priced for people with mental illness and drug addictions. Only $2 for supper with free pastries and coffee.
Dale Mark George Hansen: i am very dissapointed at the conflict of interest posed at MPA as of late... Because of the funding from VCH the staff are hired from the health authority and avocacy is a thing of the past...."NO COINCIDENCES" I'm thinking of turning on them as a 13 year member and discouraging members attendance by handing out coffee and cigarettes free of charge on PAYDAY WEDNESDAYS....... HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
Jonny Heath: Puts someone into an unsuitable environment and then washes their hands of it for the existing tenants to deal with
Vincent Lee: Always my go to place for groceries and a good conversation. Staff are so patient over the years. A few of my friends love the programming. The place teaches you literally to be respect of everyone's needs and space.free phone and showers as well. But you must be a member.
Rudolf Penner: different. lounge around. meet people.

Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Services: what do users think?
Patricia Ledoux: Almost 10 months of involvement with my grandson at this place and they have failed him.No programs offered, biased one sided so called assessment. No referrals, as mentioned in their services provided!Very unprofessional and inept!
Cathy H: 1 psychiatrist making his way through existing clients. Wait time is 12-15 months for a new client who is self-harming. In what world is this acceptable???
A. Brice: This is an organization that likes to discredit and downplay your child's problems and then tell you they have no help for you because the problems are not that serious and there are a lot more worse cases out there, no matter how much your family is struggling. What a joke! It saddens me that the government thinks is the best they can offer our special needs community. We were undermined and then offered no specialty help at all.

West End Community Mental Health Team: what do users think?
Joanne Thorburn: Unfortunately, I just became a client a few months ago. My first psychiatrist missed four telephone sessions in a row and our two telephone sessions consisted of asking me "how's your mood out of 10." Beyond that she would call in my medication to the pharmacy and forget to order a dosage. I then asked my case manager, Nicole, who listens in on our sessions, if I could actually have a psychiatrist who "shows up." This seemed like a very demanding request. My next psychiatrist has gotten my meds wrong and its taken three calls to the West End team to straighten it out. He then informs me that I will now be changing teams because I moved from the West End to UBC. I was better off WITHOUT mental health "assistance" and just my GP prescribing medications.
George Romao: Social Worker Michelle, called the SWAT team after she asked me if I was interested in her and I said no. They keeped me in a pyschocatic hospital for over 3 weeks.
Amanda “D” Williams: Sad that u can help the lady below!
Crystal Kohri: My mom has Alzheimer's now, and I need help. I'm on my own and struggling to care for her. I've called this place many times and left a few messages and no one will pickup or return my call. It's sad that this is my only option and that I can't get help :(
