Sean Tan: Rude and abusive door man on 15 May 8:30pm to 1230am was screaming obscenities at (GET THE F OUT OF HERE) and pushing customers (to get them to leave they should have left earlier.. but this was a frankly, psychotic way to handle it)..Nice place actually. Enjoyed myself. but too afraid to ever come here again and will need to inform the rest of the music scene that a venue is physically abusing it's performers and paying customers.Take Caution for your safety please. 😊

Cathy Fitzhugh: We made plans to come here to celebrate Mother's Day early, as well as celebrate a birthday, and I was really disappointed in the bottomless brunch, which is too bad, because we've had a wonderful experiences there before. No one asked all the food was, my toast was burnt on two occasions, I had to ask for water, repeatedly.... and I was missing cutlery more than once. The service was slow, and the staff was in attentive. when people brought food to the table, they had no idea where it was going or who had ordered it.We also had to wait long time to receive things. At one point I was waiting for a biscuit for over 20 minutes (after asking two different people,) and when I finally asked someone again, I saw that the biscuits were just sitting in a heated basket right behind us.No one apologized, not even once! In fact, after the biscuit incident, I think our server purposely avoided making eye contact. It was pretty odd.Don't recommend.

Century Honda: Great restaurant, nice atmosphere, not first time here either. While The Arc does have a patio and private room, the common seating area inside was chosen as there was live music on a Thursday evening which was nice to listen to.Place wasn’t too busy and the service from the staff was great.Started with Sour Dough bread appetizer and a grean tea. The bread was tasty. 🍞 🍵Ordered Arc Kale Caesar Salad with chicken as a main and it was great. 🥗 🍗Definitely return here again.
Connie Edgemon: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Sarah Menzinger: I was very tired after a long flight when I arrived. My waitress was a breath of fresh air! I can't thank her enough for her positive upbeat and friendly attitude. Sadly I don't recall her name but I believe she was either Italian or Greek.Next time I'm in Vancouver I will definitely pop in for a breakfast.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten intolerant and this was no issue! I also am not a fan of milk in my coffee but they had lots of milk alternatives too
Farzad Daei: The service is amazing and the food is great!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
C S: The service was perfect but unfortunately the food was lacking a lot of flavour. We had the eggplant burger and there was no flavours to it. And it is a very pricy place for what you get. $7 for an americano. Most expensive americano I’ve ever had
Jordan Womack: Atmosphere was great! Blackberry mules delicious. Brunch menu was intriguing, but just alright. Nothing to write home about.Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alex Durai: Recommended dishes Traditional Benedict, Avocado Toast, Salmon BenedictMore
Merveille Coddy: We went for the all you can eat Brunch. The quality was good and the service was top notch. Will definitely recommend.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Agatha Lai: Have been there for bottomless brunch before, which was lovely. First time there for drinks and a snack in the afternoon... Didn't realize how good their cocktails were. Had a great time, and they were very accommodating of our 1 year old as well.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Vasisht Raghavendra: The best experience in all of our trip to Vancouver. The restaurant and the hotel both are excellent and the service is top notch. As part of Amex we had a deal for the restaurant and the hotel. Breakfast was covered as part of Amex. We had 5 meals at this restaurant and it was the best all the time. For breakfast our favorite was Benny with Spinach and caramelized onions. The hollandaise sauce is out of the world. We also had Pancakes and Avocado toast. We paired it with a latte onee time and cappuccino another time and a smoothie both times. For dinner our favorite was Butternut squash soup. We also tried the Sablefish, Cobb salad, Veggie burger, Lentils and Chicken wings. All the items were delicious and sufficient quantity.Update: Came back here after a year and a half and the food was better the last time around.

Pourhouse Restaurant: what do users think?
Julie Clement: As a person with celiac disease finding safe places to eat is key. This restaurant had very knowledgeable staff, dedicated fryer and did not charge extra for a gluten free bun. Huge menu of cocktails and other drinks, lunch/dinner menu could get pricey as sides priced extra, but brunch worked out pretty reasonable and with great sized portionsDietary restrictions: Celiac General Manager means this is taken seriously
Christine Tse Kuecherer: Stopped in for Saturday happy hour. Received efficient service and enjoyed a well-balanced daiquiri along with tasty chips and dip.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chips …More
Luff Puff: crazy over priced!Lots of other places you can go to for happy hour. Also very cheap! won't turn on the air conditioning on a hot day. You're charging $20 cocktails! come on!
Brendan Boyle: Burnt fish n chips ruined it for us.... Otherwise, a nice spot with good atmosphere and service that is a little overpricedFood: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Onion Rings …More
Monir Moussa: Amazing atmosphere and we had one of the best servers. He knew what drinks to suggest and everyone at the table was very happy with the service. Where it fell short was the food. It was pretty basic in regards to the burger options I felt like I got better value at bin 4 and also the food wasn't as tasty as bin 4. One of my friends compared their burger to Wendys. Sides were extra 10 dollars for onion rings. We didn't really try anything else on the menu but for me and another person after tip it was 150 for burgers and 3 drinks. Sadly I won't return as I wasn't impressed by that food and I feel you should be impressed with the food at that price aka close to 40 dollars a person just for burgers and sides.
Kari Chávez: Buenos tragos, buena música, excelente servicio
Caitlin Carter: Amazing and cozy vibe. Delicious food - we got the chicken sandwich and the pourhouse burger. Some of the best we’ve ever had. The service and location were also great.Recommended dishes The Pourhouse Burger, Fried Chicken, Truffle Tots …More
Heather Chatterton: We are definitely not alone or CRAZY in our perceptions of this Gastown restaurant! I AM really sorry for this review, but the tastes are there with us- we will NEVER go back or recommend it. Our daughter ordered drinks, and items from the menu-some happy hour prices, and regular, to try. We left feeling VERY sorry she had paid SO much for so little- and awful!Results- 3 menu-stated, "known for their Caesar salads-" less than one cup of romaine, a few croutons, and grated cheese-NONE with "creamy anchovy dressing!" HOW could that be missed?? Ok, onward. In rereading to see what WAS "missing-" the dressing! She ordered 2 steaks-1 rib steak $58, 1 sirloin, a little cheaper-ALL that came on those 2 plates at that price-no sides-2 tiny slices of fried onion on each plate? My husband had a few pieces he couldn't even chew! 3 Scotch eggs to taste-NOT bad- CRAZY price of about $7.00 ea. happy hour price! 3 balls of sausage/ one egg in each! The fried chips came- 1/4 C of mayo/sour cream-SMALL bowl! When the waitress came to take the dishes away, THEN, she told us we could have had a REFILL! Fried chicken to share- SMALL bowl 5 tiny pieces- 3 pickle slices, 3 wisps of marinated cabbage-mustard was the dip😝!!? Smash Burger- Happy hour price about $7-MAYBE 3 inches around, SO DRY-even with cheese, thinner than a junior McD burger! 2 regular Caesar drinks came-full of ice with 1 olive. I joked to the waiter about the other not having any. He brought me 3 olives-first before he handed that to me-he asked if I "was allergic to nuts!?" Seriously🙄! Jokingly back I replied -"not unless they are walking around-" but HE WAS serious! Service was VERY slow- NOT even busy at 5:00PM. The waiters/ waitresses were pleasant-but that IS their job and-they were tipped well! ALL the food had come to our table- we just wanted to get out-it was AWFUL! Sad! It IS in a neat, popular, touristy part of town- but when you enter ANY restaurant-HOPE IS that the food IS good, as patrons ARE innocently there for the tastes and experiences! This was quite costly and a wasted $400plus!
Navdeep Kohli: Ambience, food and top notch service from Micheal. Must say he is excellent at his work and makes the experience just perfectRecommended dishes Scotch Egg, Tater Tots …More
Lavanya Ashok: My favourite restaurant and pub in Vancouver. The food and drinks are amazing. The staff is phenomenal! My friend was visiting over the weekend, and she tends to get seizures when exposed to bright light. The staff were so accomodating and lovely. When a mini episode did take place, they took control swiftly, and made sure my friend felt safe and comfortable. You guys were just amazing and I'm going to sing your praises to everyone! Thank you!
Zach Scragg: Ordered the Pourhouse burger, fries, and a scotch egg for takeout. Opted for this place because it seemed a cut above pub burgers and I was looking for something special. Staff were super friendly and attentive when I picked it up, the scotch egg was pretty good and so were the fries. Unfortunately, the burger tasted like it hadn't been spiced, so the beef had that meat locker flavour. I had a few bites but couldn't finish it. It also had one of those McDonald's style buns that smooshes down into nothing when you pick it up. I know the bun was intentional and that they're popular right now, but not sure I can say the same about the beef. Will probably try it again sometime though, maybe the burger thing was a fluke 🤷‍♂️
Ashutosh Anil: Good ambience and service - food leaves something to be desired. Maybe it was just me - but didn't love the fish and chips I had. I know the appies are great.Wish there were vegetarian options in the cooked food section of the menu. Will try again n the future and hoping my experience will be better.
Denis henrique Araujo: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Beef Tartare, Scotch EggMore
Nikki Mathew: Recommended dishes Fried Chicken, Scotch EggMore
rebecca donnell: This was a hard review to give.Went on a Thursday night knowing there was a live band. Band with cello was great and suited the cool decor and vibe.Rotating popcorn was caramel that night which consisted of a warm caramel drizzle on top that I could’ve eaten bowls and bowls of.The food outside of that was pretty bad. Pre-made frozen onion rings that the chef then salted to death. Burger with a bun that seemed like something a couple days old from the grocery store and a slice of American cheese. Fine if you’re dining at a road side stand but we definitely expected something better from a Main Street in Gastown.Three stars given (generous) because the server was suuuper nice and without barely a word said called the manager who was also did everything she could to make things right.
Jane: Scotch egg was tasty. Atmosphere was great. Looking forward to returning for a full meal.
Brittany: First time back in 9 years. Exceptional experience and food (scotch egg 👌) - same as I remember.Very impressive that the standards are still consistent.
Jesse Houston: Recommended dishes Scotch Egg, Pourhouse BurgerMore
Bond Armstrong: Food was decent, but pretty pricey. The beef tartare was decent but small portion (came with 3 half slices of sourdough). The macaroni was creamy. The spicy chicken sandwich was okay but the proportions of chicken to the rest of the sandwich was off; there was way too much chicken (silly thing to complain about). It wasn’t very spicy which was nice for my taste, but others might want it spicier. Cocktails were very pricy which turned me off from ordering one. Menu is quite small and the burgers do not come with a side; a side of fries was $6 extra.
Emily Decker: Food was exceptional! Great ambience, service, and drinks, but the standout star was definitely the beef! At our table we had a steak, a burger, and the tartare, so no matter which way you enjoy it, the beef is delicious!Recommended dishes Scotch Egg …More
Caleb Loewen: We had such a lovely time here! So many options if you are celiac or have a gluten free diet! Food and drink were both incredible. Our server, Kess, was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent recommendations for drinks. The live music really added to the experience. We will definitely return!Parking: Parkade right beside the restaurant was convenient but expensive.Dietary restrictions: So many gluten free options! They have a separate gf fryer and grill!

Guilt & Co: what do users think?
Ziegfried Von Shrodder: Came here on Sunday, May 21st with my wife, and from the time we talked in to getting seated, we had excellent friendly service that I have not had in a while. I believe our servers name was Bradley. Super friendly guy who was attentive, I can tell they were very busy because it was a PACKED house and the music was off the charts. Western style tonight with an 1940’s flare, and bar tenders were quick and attentive as well. Highly Recommend this place. Glad we checked their online calendar for the type of music that was performing and playing tonight. If you get Bradley as your server you are lucky to have him. Staff are very professional even with the drunk idiots in the crowd! I’m sure every restaurant gets those! Check this place out! I highly recommend!
Amarjot Pabla: Been to this place many times. In the past, have enjoyed myself, but unfortunately tonight we experienced some unprofessional behavior. The man at the front, as we were exiting, stopped his coworker from stamping us for re-entry as he decided for us “because we would not be re-entering”. Not sure if this is a policy Guilt&Co has now, but from my past experiences, paying cover allows for re-entry later on. Kind of sad to see a place that I truly enjoyed fall to some horrible customer service. Maybe Guilt & Co can speak to this issue. Is re-entry not allowed after paying the same cover as everyone else in line? Kind of sad to see one of my favorite places in Vancouver fall to this type of behavior. I have so many good memories here, but unfortunately overshadowed by this staff member’s behavior.Followed up by going to Smith’s. Great staff, friendly, genuinely kind people. Highly recommend.**edit: I had a back and forth with the owner because I wanted to clarify some details. I received thoughtful responses and it seems like they are taking situations like this seriously. It’s nice to see that they are trying to improve. I have upped my star rating because of this and I hope the next time I visit, the staff will be as respectful and kind as I’m used to!
Suzette McFaul: Terrible experience. Was asked to leave as someone in my party was intoxicated. Not falling down or obxious. Maybe profiled because of age? Yes certainly older than average person. But really? Sad and disappointed tonight.
Federico baldacci: Great music plus great staff = great environment
David Geiman: Adoramos o lugar! Tinha uma banda ótima tocando e bons drinks!
Ricky Au: Fun live music that really makes you get up and dance. Their baked brie is so creamy and tasty too!
Bunny Brown: Cozy cave-like lounge with live music and great apps! Staff are friendly and accommodating. Indie entertainment here is great!
Linney Sylvester: Excellent vibes and dimly lit underground live music venue. The charge $6 per set of music. Drinks can be a bit pricey and the food is a limited, but the music is always good and so are the staff! I recommend happy hour to save a few bucks. I'd except to spend about $100 a person if u stay for few drinks and a few sets and snacks to share
Caitlin Carter: Drinks were unique and tasty, but they were overpriced and our server was rude.
T Gomez: Really enjoyed the live music and tasty drinks!
Kait B: Great cozy live music venue. Staff were great, up front and helpful when I contacted them beforehand to address some access needs. Grounds for Divorce cocktail is hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had! One star lost only because I'd expected more of the food, and there were some issues with my guest receiving their meal in a timely manner due to poor planning on the part of the kitchen.
Gabriela Ganancio: I recently visited Guilt to celebrate my birthday, and while the waitress who served us was good and very attentive, unfortunately, the evening got off to a bad start due to the unfriendly and rude staff/lady at the door. The staff member at the door seemed disinterested in providing even basic customer service and was unwelcoming from the start.Despite my attempts to engage in conversation and let the staff know that it was my birthday, they showed no interest and didn't even wish me a happy birthday. The staff member's negative attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unappreciated and unwelcome.I hope that the management takes note of my complaints and takes steps to ensure their staff provides better customer service in the future. Birthdays are special occasions, and it's disappointing that my experience was marred by such poor treatment by this lady.Ps: Music it was very good!
stephen milton: Best atmosphere in Gastown. Good music, good service, and good vibes.
Marcel Laforge: Dope vibes
Filip Rerek: Excellent cocktails, live music, great appetizers and cool vibe! There's a cover charge to support the musicians which is a great idea :) Ms. Dos Santos was one of the most talented musicians we've ever listened to live!!! Keep the great music and exquisite cocktails going ;)P.S. the mezcal sour with an egg white on top was 10/10 and so was the garlic bread.
Tyler MacLeod: Great music venue for different tastes
Jason Kjorlien: Shopping ,a few restaurants & pubs nearby
Simran Gill: I have throughly enjoyed this place every time that I have been to it. I love how they encourage the works of local artists. It’s open everyday and hosts two shows- the early & the late show. They are both equally great. There is no reservation required as its first come first serve basis. You might end up sharing the table or standing at the bar as they try to accommodate as many people as possible. The food is average but the drinks are great. Definitely one of the must-dos in Vancouver!
Kajol Parikh: It was so loud, the drinks were okayish, the whole place too dark and a wait of 35 mins for all this!
Man Z.: Great place!
Sean Carey: Was not informed we’d be charged “per set”for cover charge. Was given the short straw, getting charged $12 for hearing 5 minutes of the first set. Waiting 40 minutes while the band took a break, and hearing 1-2 songs of the next set of the same Maroon 5 wannabe band, and getting charged another $12.All told I paid $24 to listen to ten minutes worth of music with my partner, at $20 a drink too. Maybe part of the cover is the set you hear in line while all the people who “know” someone who works there cut you. I am pretty sure the homies were being charged cover at all. Pretty disappointed.

District Bar Restaurant: what do users think?
jon hannasch: Limited menu, but several choices for beers.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
DW Potts: My wife and I were passing through Vancouver after traveling all day, and we wound up in The District. A very friendly server named Tarun took care of us through Roasted Duck Poutine, Shrimp Linguine, and a District salad, all of which were delicious. Great food and friendly service! If The District wasn't so far from Texas, we might be regulars.
Aidan Carkeek: Food and drinks were fine, but we waited 40 minutes to get served. The poor server was completely over worked which of course wasn't her fault but management needs to have enough staff on hand.4 stars just because it doesn't deserve to overly discount their total score.
Kathleen Hess: Wonderful service! Very accommodating to my dairy and gluten allergy ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! wonderful service too!
Ashleen devi: Parking: Manager Jake isUnprofessionalDietary restrictions: Save your money and don’t come heree
kudzai gara: Let me start with the service….When my sister and I walked in, the server welcomed us very warmly. The food was very much top notch and the service was way more than 5 stars. I would go back again
Remi Vienneau: If you want a beer, probably fine and they'll probably pour it right. Food was mediocre at best, but the "signature" cocktails were pretty horrendous. I was sat near the bar and perhaps the bartender was new, but ordering 2 different of the signature cocktails and having to watch them struggle through reading the menu to see what was in each was worrisome. I struggled through the first one, had to leave the second one behind. For it being a midday Saturday with the Rugby 7s and a Canucks-Leafs game, they were shockingly not busy (should have been a warning). In any case, probably won't be back and won't be any worse off for it.
Jody F: Stopped in here 3 times on a 5 day trip to Vancouver. The food was great, Very nice selection of beers. The bartender was great and Tamitcha (spelling) was fantastic, as well. Will definitely be back on every visit.
Glenn Gibson: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes TacosMore
rfast10: Salt salt salt. Staying close by and was looking for a quick late night bite. Wings: Way too salty. Just could not do it! Water please?…. Never came. Shrimp tacos: marginally better with less salt. They were ok. Back to the wings, they were also old. Just old wings re-dropped into a fryer. Left half the order due to salt and age.I never leave reviews. But sitting here waiting forever for a bill started me thinking.Sorry guys, I just can’t waste my money here on such foods that are so simple to make fresh and then come out subpar. Place was clean, friendly bar staff, nice atmosphere, zero other issues.
Gail Mckenzie: My niece and I stayed at the attached Hampton hotel and we came down for dinner. Our server, sorry forgot her name, was sweet, attentive and very friendly. Platinum haired young lady. Our meals were fantastic, fresh, creative, and my salad was amazing. All in all a wonderful dining experience. I even had a draft on tap WHAAAAAAT? 😆 it's been years since I have, and it was fresh crisp cold and really good 👍 thank you, ill remember you next time I'm in Vancouver for sure. God bless 🙌
Jinson zheng: Recommended dishes Poutine, Cheesecake, Truffle FriesMore
Rob Ito: Went for the dine out Vancouver deal. My halibut was good but my wife’s hanger steak was terrible. Appies both good and both desserts disappointing. Mixed drink prices ridiculous. Atmosphere very average. Mixed experience overall. Won’t be returning…value just isn’t there.
Rodney Shupe: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Karen Quan: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
David Fedor: Good food, sat at the bar, friendly staffFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ric Bains: Good food and good service.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Truffle Fries, Chicken Wings, Cheesecake …More
Justin Watterson: Great food great serviceFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Michael Swanson: Short summary: the best appetizers, good burgers, good but overpriced salads. Two of us went in for a meal; one on a cleanse, so limited with ordering. We found the staff to be nice and attentive but slightly pulled back in communication style. They did a great job all around, but I could feel it was near the end of a long day.We ordered the cauliflower bites and were overly impressed. I could have eaten them all night. I think there was parmesan in the breading and that way superb. They were cooked just right and the presentation was awesome. The blue cheese dip paired perfectly with the hot sauce - both of us could have lived off of these things all night (and the next day, too). The burger and salad we ordered after were good, but didn't match the appies. The salad was good and there was a lot of it. The dressing was impressive - it was a mild lemon flavour that added to the salad times without overpowering it at all. I'm generally someone who goes for the strongest dressings (like bleu cheese) to get more out of the dressing than the salad but this one impressed even me.The downfall of the salad was the price. It was large, but it was mostly lettuce. I wasn't impressed with the presentation, but I think the lighting at the table led to that. Maybe it would have come across better with brighter lights? I don't know. I can tell you that I couldn't tell there was a half avocado in it until it was pointed out.The Southern chicken sandwich was good, too, but not perfect. The brioche bun was great, the dressing and homemade pickles added a lot. The chicken meat was perfectly cooked, but the breading was a little overdone. Maybe the oil was to hot or getting old, but it did affect the presentation a bit. It was not burnt, but getting there. The meat, though, that was top notch. Juicy, tender, great thigh meat. I do love thigh meat.
