Shawn Joseph: It's absolutely perfect for the time you don't mind splashing a bit extra $$$!The food was to die for. You have to get the burrata salad to start off with. The mains are up to you. However, for the dessert, I still dream about that vietnamese coffee creme brulee. It was the definition of heaven.Finally, the servers were awesome and fun to talk to. They treated you like they were your pals.
Jiajyun Wang: This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date. We were lucky to sit in the courtyard on the second floor, just like having a date in a beautiful garden. As for the food, we ordered shrimp and fried cauliflower salad for appetizers, and they were both stunning. The flavors were rich and delightful. The steak and chicken for the main course maintained the high standards of a great restaurant

Carter & Madison Hougen: The definition of fine dining. This place has a great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and excellent food! The beef tenderloin is the best meal I’ve ever had, with the barbecue shrimp to start. Delicious!

My dining experience at this establishment was a combination of impressive highlights and a few areas that could be improved upon.The ambiance at Brix and Mortar is undeniably charming. The interior design exudes elegance and sophistication, creating a welcoming atmosphere.The service provided by the staff (Savannah?) was attentive and courteous, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the evening. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and offered insightful suggestions.However, there was a moment when I informed the waiter of a small hair on the ramen egg of the Ahi Tuna Salad (I think you can see it on the picture). Since I have already split the salad with my family members, I wasn't expecting anything other than a follow up. The waiter said "let me check with the kitchen", took away the egg, and never came back with an apology or any follow up.The menu at Brix and Mortar offers a diverse range of dishes, showcasing the creativity and skill of the culinary team. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad, Burrata Di Puglia, Wild Sockeye Salmon, Lamb Neck, and Steak. The flavors were generally well-balanced, and the presentation was visually appealing. All the dishes were exceptional aside from the Steak, which was satisfactory, but not outstanding. The cocktails we ordered (Stregarita, Sakura Blossom, and Basil Exposition) were delicious as well.Overall, Brix and Mortar is a restaurant that offers a memorable dining experience with its refined ambiance, attentive service, and creative menu. Everything is so delicious and nicely presented. We had dine our Vancouver festival dinner menu. We had TOFU PORK BELLY SALAD, ROCANA PORK CHOP, WILD LOCAL SOCKEYE SALMON, Panna Cotta and fruit sorbet. The pork chop and salmon tasted great, perfectly cooked. And the desserts are both really good too. The service was very attentive and good as well. Gavin Tian: I have no common with their food because once I get in the restaurant, the server standing in front at 5:15 pm did a terrible demonstration about greeting people, I have no clue about what is going on after getting asked more than four times to leave my phone number and full name at the front desk before I can have a site. And she fully understands that I'm a walk-in guest without any seat booking. I don't know if is this their way of giving regular customer service to people, but after I refused four times to leave any personal information to her, and still got asked to give it out. I decided to leave and find somewhere else to have my dinner. I'm just here to have food not attending a class at the college. What kind of restaurant force people to leave their personal information even before they get in? Also, the way she is asking is not polite at all. In the end, If this restaurant needs a dress code to get in then great, because I just got off from work and I'm wearing full suits and ties at that moment.

Can't say enough how welcoming it felt for us, visiting as a family.Price point is fantastic for the quality of their food & the service you recieve. Enno S: It has an incredible view over the city and it's quite fun to point out things you see/ places you've been while you rotate. You see waterplanes and helicopters landing and a bit of the harbour. The restaurant is pretty expensive, but if you go during happy hour and order a beer or two (CAD 8-9) you can stay for a while and make a full rotation (60min). The staff was very nice aswell.

Alois Callemyn: This is a must see when visiting Vancouver. There is a elevator that normally you have to pay to go up, but just tell them that you’re going to the restaurant and it’s free. We went at happy hour (3-4) and got a window side table. The view is unreal! We got cocktails (great) and apps (ok) and our bill was $68, plus tip.We enjoyed our drinks and got to see a complete revolution (1 hour), a 360° view of the Harbour and Downtown.I will go back as soon as possible. Oh, be sure to ask for Vicky, as she is a blast.

And her recommendation was spot-on !My wife and I really enjoyed the Cabernet Merlot of the Gehringer Brothers. S Tom: We have been here previously and enjoyed the food so wanted to bring our friends who are travelling to Spain soon. I made reservations for 4 people at 4pm. We commuted for 1hr to get to the restaurant and at 4pm the doors were locked even though the business hours show 4pm both online and at the door. A few minutes later a man came to the door and asked if we wanted to come in, we said yes. He said the owner told him to open at 430pm instead of 4 so he was going to call him to ask if it was okay to let us in. We said we can come in and have a drink and then wait til 430 to order food. He called the owner and then said the owner said no you can't come in. We left. Terrible customer service, we will not return and waste our time again.

Claire Blair: Dinner here was great, as always. Amazing food, service and ambience. Was expecting to have steak frites but when that wasn’t on the menu we ordered the bison carpaccio and it was sooo good. The Congolese mussels and broth are so delicious and I’m always surprised how many are in there! Very filling. They have such a great liquor menu too, including hard-to-find Belgian Trappist beers, and Fortaleza tequila. Fun to sit at the bar and converse with the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Mark: Moules Frites - Congolaise - Probably the best/freshest/largest mussels I have ever had. Fries were kind of an afterthought and nothing special but would recommend getting a side of sourdough bread so you don't waste all the sauce.

Aimee & Jenna Hobbs: We were in Vancouver this past weekend and went to Chambar Saturday evening for dinner. Our server Dylan was just lovely. She was knowledgeable about the menu and able to help our thirteen year old who is celiac navigate each of the dishes that could be made gluten free. Several people at our table had mussels conglaise and really enjoyed them. My niece and I had the lamb which was delicious and my son had the steak and ate every single bite.
