As if my intentions in the store were nefarious. Giving me slight up-and-down looks, as if probing whether or not I had the money to even be worth the "effort" he had to put in-to make the sale.From my first time experience, I would not visit this location again for any high-end purchases, especially not whilst dressed in casual attire...Ended up purchasing my lens with a few new light stands at another location.

Got the unit at a great price obviously and the shipping time and packaging was pretty decent from coast-to-coast across Canada! Only thing I might suggest is that they should try implementing some photos for their used items so it's less of a gamble, however, I lucked out and I'm very satisfied. Thanks again!

Not only was the staff unhelpful in finding my roll of film they also promised they’d get back to me with updates and I’ve heard nothing for weeks. They lost an entire roll of memories I’ll never get back and don’t even have the decency to call and try and fix the situation.

Souvik Basu: Very cheap price for photo prints. Good quality. They have an online site to upload photos and can deliver home for $5.99. That's super convenient. Photos come a bit darker than visible on screen, please brighten the photos in a photo editor before sending them for printing.

Originally, Ken helped me set up my studio and since then I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jason in rentals, Hunter at the front counter (now Mark), Mike with printers and screen calibration, and Nicole and Meghan on all things used and film! They feel like family and I know I’m a better photographer because of them.One year later and very little has changed! Still an exceptional experience provided by exceptional people. When looking at any one of my images, I’m very aware that countless experiences, learnings and people have contributed - the staff at Beau Photo feature prominently in that extensive list.

The price of the film is also very reasonable, and you can even buy it for developing. I have coveted the Hasselblad in this store for a long time, and there are some cameras that can be offered for bargaining. This store is more like a customer-to-customer platform. I really like this store!

Sometimes they even email me to tell me that an interesting old camera has arrived, so I can go see it.Nicole's enthusiasm for all old cameras, and Meghan's friendly, ready helpfulness, have been mainstays over the years. As other staff have come and gone from the analogue department, Beau seems to have hand-picked each of them for friendliness and enthusiasm. At first I was shy to even enter the store, because I thought it was for professionals, not for hobbyists like me. Beau's welcoming staff have made this one of my favourite stores.I also work in retail. I appreciate how much energy the staff put into making each visit to the store a good visit, and I look forward to the next visit. Plus, I get to buy some cool old lenses and cameras once in a while. This department feels like a kind of community hub for old camera enthusiasts. You at Beau have built up a destination store here in Vancouver.Part of what makes this store so good is the no-B.S., unfiltered, straightforward communication. Back to the App: Do not recommend buying from Henry's. It take more then months to get your items and they do not know when to get it. They should not take money before when they get the items or know when to get it. At least tell costumer it might take more then months. We can not do anything it is up to suppliers. My experience with Henrys camera was Canada's worst Camera store.

Ed Lau: Made an order in July of 2022. Product didn't ship. Was told I couldn't cancel because special order. Waited another 2 months. Was told the same thing. Finally contacted them today and after 9 months, they said it wasn't coming and they'd cancel. Ordered the same product from a different retailer and got it in 3 days. I'm guessing Henry's didn't even bother with "special orders".

Min Cooper: Ordered an item online on Black Friday that showed in stock. After zero notification 2 weeks later I followed up. They told me it was not in stock. Others have reported that they sell things online that they don't have in stock. I wouldn't have bothered ordering if the I knew the item wasn't available as other sellers actually had the item in stock for the same price at the time. I was then told I'd receive my item when in stock with no indicator of when. On Boxing Day I noticed their inventory system showed it was in stock so I contacted them again - they should have simply sent my order without prompting. They told me they would process my order right away which means nothing would have been done without me reminding them. Now it's another 2 weeks later and no email with any follow up. Exceptionally poor customer service. I would not recommend.I am not surprised at the high volume of 1 star reviews.

Not only they are professional and will help you with honesty, but they give you time and space instead of chasing you and forcing you to buy like other stores do. Definitely a shop I never get tired of shopping. Highly recommended.

Ekaterina Ungvitskaya: Called the store asking for a certain camera part. The guy on the phone was very rude. He told me without even thinking into my problem that I need to do this and that. When I asked to come to the store he said they are very busy and when I said I want to feel welcomed in the store the answer was "whatever".I went to Kerrisdale Camera instead and had wonderful experience there. And at the another time, I had an issue with my gimbal+lidar combo. So they generously let me use their own gimbal to understand where did I make a mistake. And they made no profit on me at that time. Kimberly D: A big thank you to Henry who arranged to have their last Canon 90D transferred from their Surrey location to this one for my fiancé to pick up. He was easy to communicate with, quick to organize the transfer (it was picked up and moved over that same day for me to get it), courteous and knowledgeable when my fiancé came in. We originally were going to buy from a camera store on the North Shore but their customer service was very disappointing when I asked to have their 90D moved from another location with the intention purchasing it that day. That was not the case with Broadway Camera and in the future I will definitely be back to support their business!

Kyrani Kanavaros: Leo's loss is Kerrisdale's gain. Needless to say I was thrilled to hear my favourite photo expert Jeff Gin joined Kerrisdale and is now store manager at the North Van location. Knowing other Leo's staff joined this company, I am hoping Kerrisdale will level up and start catering a bit more to pro photographers and carry more studio gear/tech as well. I have known Jeff since the early 2000s when I began my photo journey as a hobbyist. He is my go to source for anything I need and he will always give me an honest opinion based on what I need. I am more than happy to make the trip to North Van to buy from him. Most recently I upgraded my camera body and he was my first call and thankfully this location had what I wanted. Looking forward to continuing my professional relationship with Jeff here at Kerrisdale. I have many photographer friends who live on the north shore and hopefully they can get what they need as I know that they travel to Vancouver or shop online for their other pro needs. My suggestion would be to carry strobes, gels, lighting stands, tether cables, v flats (that might be a tough one), seamless, whatever. I needed tether cables for the new camera so I had to go elsewhere for that. It would have been great to get everything in one spot. Otherwise, I will be back for my 2nd mirrorless body, hopefully sooner than later.
Isabel Kaiser: Great place to get all sorts of camera equipment, including used cameras. Not as many used film cameras in-store as I was expecting. The website is a little misleading because even though you can select a store location to see what items are in their inventory, it does not mean they have everything in-store. If you call ahead, however, they can check where a certain product is and ship it to a closer store location for free.
Kimberly D: Limited stock available and when I asked about a camera that wasn't in stock the staff member offered to transfer it from another location. I was told it would be there the following day but then got a call the day after that saying it had not been moved because someone had now put it on hold. Their solution was to call me 3 days later (they were going to hold it from the Friday to the Monday) and if that person did not buy it then they would call me to come pick it up. Sameezyfbaby: I walked in there today as a newbie with a new interest in creating digital art online, but walked out confident I could manage the steep learning curve that comes with digital photography. Tasha is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to "talk shop" with. I already had a new camera, but needed accessories and I was treated just as well as if I was spending thousands (I spend a few hundred at least). I would highly recommend anyone who might be intimidated to go see her there. There is another gentleman there named Allen who, respectfully, chimed in and gave me some additional insight on a topic. For reference, I went to 3 other camera shops and I feel like nobody took interest in me because I had a camera already and I was so new, I didn't know a lot of the lingo. When I came here though, the vibes were comfortable.
Mark Hutchison: I can only review the web/shipping experience as I've not been in person (thanks covid), but I am VERY impressed by the selection, ease of ordering, and most importantly the customer service follow up I received when the staff thought I may have ordered 2 of an expensive item by mistake (I did need two, but it was so thoughtful that they checked in to make sure).I also double checked a very commonly counterfeited product I ordered with the manufacturer to make sure it was genuine and it was (I'm 90% sure the same item on Amazon that was half the price was a knock-off version).Lastly everything I've ordered has been delivered swiftly and very well packaged with no damage. I will definitely be using this shop for that vast majority of my gear.

Reeve Liew: Had my film scanned and noticed that every photo had the same pattern of colored lines going down the middle in the exact same spot - looking exactly like the scan lines caused by dust or dirt in scanning equipment. Emailed the store and the manager replied telling me they believe it's a light leak from my camera. Went to pick up my negatives and was attended to by the manager. I mentioned about my email earlier and he said he'd already replied saying it was a light leak. I showed him the pictures again and how closely they resembled other pictures with scan lines. He still insisted it was a light leak and asked me to bring it to a repair shop. I had to ask him to look at the negatives himself and when he couldn't find any evidence of a leak, he finally offered to give me a re-scan.The re-scanned images had no scan lines at all. I would have brought my camera to the repair shop for what was obviously a scanner issue. I wonder if he even looked at my images before emailing me back asking to send it for repair.I have had good service here before with other staff but this experience left a bad taste.

James Lesosky: My first experience with Broadway Camera, I attended their Nikon trade in event November 12th, 2022 as I had a two week trip to Cairo, Egypt starting the next day. Although the trade in value given for my D4 was disappointingly low, the event gave me the opportunity to meet a fellow amateur photog who had previously upgraded and purchased a Z9, the same camera that I was thinking of upgrading into.This meeting proved fortunate, as by random chance, Henry at Broadway Camera had one of the elusive Z9 ‘s in the store set aside but available for purchase. In my meeting with the Z9 owner, he told me of his experiences with the incredible ISO range of the Z9 .This prompted the selection of a Nikkor Z 24-120mm f4 to be added to my purchase of the Z9. This S-line lens was on sale due to the Nikon fall promotion, perfect timing for the trade in event. The FTZ II mount adapter that I purchased I will allow continued use my f2.8 F mount lens with my Z9.Thank you Henry for your help and expertise.

Corp. FinSky Wealth Management: Worst experience. Very unprofessional Canadian PR card photo required non-smile face, but they did not even know this and took smile photo. They did not even remind us or even find out when print out photos. Because the photos did not meet requirement, my parents had to come back from China before their scheduled date. Second time, when taking Chinese passport photos, they did not give us and keep digit photos but this is actually required. Extremely unprofessional.
