Xyz Abc: Mandy is FANTASTIC. I came in to return an online order. For some reason their system showed one of the products had already been returned----I am guessing it had something to do with the price adjustment I got via a Best Buy live chat agent a few days prior. Mandy went the extra mile, she was super patient considering the slowness of their computers at the time, read through the live chat notes, and made sure everything was correct and proper. Wonderful customer service. I also appreciated Victoria's interest in and knowledge of computer parts and video games.
Paul Donnett: Best Buy’s increasingly antiquated customer service and financing leaves me truly stumped sometimes. Applied online for a Best Buy credit card today and got quickly approved. So far so good. So I drive to my local store, needing to buy a MacBook for my company. Get great direct service from the salesperson, to her credit. And the laptop is on sale, wonderful. But when I go to buy, I can’t, because Best Buy insists on sending you a plastic card in the mail. Apparently there’s absolutely no way up to clear my card even though I have proof in my hands that I’ve been approved. I ask if I can just reapply for the financing in store because the laptop is also on sale. Of course not, because then the system registers it as fraud. So I am given no choice, no options, no hold on the sale price for even a couple of days so I can come back and purchase it. I leave the store empty-handed. I don’t get a computer and they don’t get my $1600. Off to Visions and I’m cancelling my BB card.

haidar Alsaady: Had an open box return on a TV that just didn't fit our space the way we wanted. I had lost the original receipt and was worried that might cause issues. Customer service was excellent, reprinted my receipt for me and helped me quickly exchange the TV for a different one. The team leader was incredibly helpful and friendly. Amazing job!!
Mohammad Hosseini: In the mobile section, a rude guy lied to me about the inventory of a certain phone, and after asking the other employees and figuring out that the phone exists, they tried their best to not sell it. they behaved like I am fraudulent. I don't know what was the reason maybe they were all racist. and saddest part was that even the manager "Teri" didn't give a s**t about our problem.
Frankie Lamb: The sales associate in the cell phone section knows nothing. The unlocked Google 6a phone with no contract has $150 discount posted on their website for several days already and the associate kept insistingit's not on sale and was tryingto persuade me to sign a contract to get the discount. Don't shop at this store.

Sam S.: Was in dire need of a case for my new Samsung s23 ultra. Found a really nice Spigen case and found a price match at Telus. I was dealing with sales associate "Mandy" and about 10 minutes into the price match I asked her what the problem was as she scrolled up and down her phone. Didn't even bat an eyelash or explain anything to me. About 2 minutes later I informed her my parking was about to expire and I'd like to either make the sale or order online through Amazon. She immediately lost her cool blew up on me, informed me I couldn't talk to her like that. I think she may have been a little too woke.Regardless another sales associate came over matched the price immediately and I moved on with my day.I realize that it's tough to find good employees but you cannot have people like Mandy representing your company if they're going to be rude to the public.I don't also don't understand why it takes 12 minutes to price match a case that is being sold down the street at Telus. There's no shipping fees no conversion rates nothing involved it's pretty simple.Anyways I'm going to give Best Buy a one star for this encounter. My only advice to Best Buy would be treat your customers nicely or they'll just go online and buy it there with a simple click. If I wasn't in a rush, I would have done just that, next time I think I will.
Hossein ShirMohamadi: Before shopping from Best buy, I contacted an agent to learn more about the HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 series printer online. They avoid pointing to its weaknesses, and then, because of their short return policy, I've been keeping a useless, costly printer due to the following weaknesses;1. The scanner automatically adjusts auto brightness on documents in photo or doc preset. So you cannot scan something in actual colours.2. It sometimes has issues connecting your devices, and you have to sign in to your HP account before using it. Requiring users to log in to an online account to use offline devices is annoying.3. Besides this device's high cost of inks, you have a few months to use your cartridges; otherwise, they'll empty.4. This printer is heavy and oversized, and it makes noises.Therefore, I will never shop from Best buy anymore.

Conor Davis: Tried to see if they had something in stock before taking time to go to the store. Talked to their online customer service to confirm the item was actually in store. After being reassured by online person it was, I went to store only to find out it actually wasn't in stock at all. Total waste of time.. then was told a neighboring store had it in stock. So I asked them to confirm that with me so I wouldn't have to waste more of my time. I checked the online status of this item which claimed it was out of stock. They claimed there was no way they could call the store to actually confirm it was there. Totally absurd. Complete waste of time. Don't worry I really enjoy paying for parking and burning precious moments of my life for nothing. I hope this store eventually folds like a cheap deck of cards.

Superpig 2001: I went to go buy a vr that u saved up for, cashier lady was really nice to be as I wasn’t sure how the quest 2 was and it was my first big purchase with my own money. I asked her if I could try the vr and if I didn’t like it if I could return it, she said “you can try the vr but you must return it within 30days and if you want you can get the extended warranty”. She kept on making me buy the warranty but it was 150$ and I didn’t have that money. I realized that the quest isn’t for me so I came back to return it u see 30 days and they are very rude, mik the assistant store manager was very rude towards me saying no one would ever say that to me and basically calling me a lier! They didn’t want to refund me at all and told me that it’s final sale once open. I was never once told it was final sale, not on the receipt, not on the box, only online in fine print. Never buy from this Best Buy they are a bunch of scammers who are very rude and just want the sale, don’t believe anything they say. The lady’s name was YIMM from best buy on Cambie in Vancouver Canada. The assistant store manger who was very rude was Mik. Please spread this post as I really just want a refund from what I was told. Thank you for reading my story.

John Lin: Similar to other posts, Nader was great to deal with. I ended up buying a Whirlpool dryer after changing the order a couple of times. His professionalism and service were outstanding. I wandered around for a few minutes, no one acknowledged me in the slightest, two were busy with other customers, one was on his computer. All I wanted was for someone to say “hi” or “I’ll be with you in a minute”, anything! I finally asked the guy on the computer if he could help me & he reluctantly told me he wasn’t a salesman. I walked out feeling very ignored.

Please dp yourself a favour and shop anywhere else for your appliances. Before you buy they seem okay. After they have taken your money and installed the product it's a nightmare.
Kian Dowedoff: The initial experience was as if I was shopping at a pawn shop. I asked for a price on a product and was given a response along the lines of 'how much are you willing to pay?'. Then there was an odd and unnecessary interaction of "having to check for a better price with the manager", when the pricing was clearly listed on the website... After purchasing the product, I was given a pick up address that was about half an hour away from the originally represented address. Their hours are during 10am-5pm, which is during my work day. So, now with this unexpected extra hour round trip, I had to take the afternoon off. When I went to pick up, it was a warehouse with a door that stated "Ring Bell" and the door was locked. There was no bell to ring. So I was standing in the rain for 15 minutes until somebody happened to open the garage door. During this period I tried to get ahold of the sales rep to get access, and didn't get a response until a half hour later. Overall I would not recommend dealing with these folks if you don't have to.

Cheryl B: I did not want to give it one star. We ordered a brand new Kitchenaid range and paid for the removal of our old one. The new one arrived damaged. We called the delivery 10 min after delivery and they told us they could not come back to contact the store. Called the store and we were directed to fill out an online form. It's been 3 days we can not use the one delivered as it would not be accepted for return and they have not exchanged the damaged product they delivered. Aweful service and the customer service is TERRIBLE! I would never buy from this company if anything is wrong it is a huge hassle and they are not helpfulADDITION: see below post saying please reach out to an email from their team. It is also false I reached out to that email days ago and have not heard back! Poor customer service BEWARE!

David Heyduck: 1 star for good price but service and execution were terrible. If you live close to a CSA warehouse, it's probably no issue to pick up your appliances one at a time as they arrive (but really, who has that time?). I'm 8 hours, one way, from the nearest warehouse. I ordered 6 appliances and they would not hold them until all were available for pickup. I agreed to pay in full so that they could hold them, this was against policy. So for months, CAS painfully sold and re-ordered our items until randomly 5 of 6 were available. They would not hold those 5 items as we waited for the 6th item but CAS suggested that if I paid to ship them, I could ask CAS to ship the last item at no cost, so I paid to ship what was available. Last item came several months later (a year after ordering), I asked for shipping, they refused. They quoted me 1200$ shipping for a 1500$ item. I asked for a mere 200$ credit so I could arrange my own freight, they refused. I cancelled. Never again.

Richard Outhwaite: We went to ALL of the appliance stores (very draining!) and CAS had the best prices around! Hossein was great and not too pushy. I've seen a few people commenting they won't give a formal quote, which I get is annoying. But, for these guys who work to give the best prices straight up, its sucks to have your competitors price higher and just price match if any consumer notices. They also had the best warranty at 3 years standard.

This really allowed me to research the brands and models before going in to the store and it saves so much time! Their online chat option is great. I communicated with a gentleman (I think it was Melvin) and he was able to assure me that the new wall oven would fit appropriately. He really took the stress out of this experience. The oven was for my 84 yr old mother (she’s not a fan of computers so our options were limited). The next day (Saturday) we’re turned up at Coast where we met Fred as soon as we entered the premises. We never felt pressured, he was knowledgeable, thoughtful of the needs of my mother, efficient, pleasant to work with and he also helped us arrange the installation. We were contacted that weekend by the installation team and by Tuesday at lunch we had a beautiful new wall oven!The installation team were equally impressive. They were prompt, friendly, respectful of her home, completed the installation with no damage to the existing cabinets or floors. The entire team was exceptional! Thank you Coast! Especially Fred!

I called Trail Appliances instead and just spent $1200 there. All because the salesman at Coast was too lazy to help and and instead wanted me to come into the store without any assurance that they had the product I needed. Basically he was just not willing to go to any effort for a $1200 sale.Whenever a business treats you like an annoyance, instead of a customer who pays their wages, stay well clear! Unbelievable how arrogant and dis-interested they are. It has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will now actively discourage anyone I know from going there. If there was an option for less-than a one star review they would not even get one star.
Lianna Klassen: So my husband and I walked into Coast Appliance here in Vancouver to purchase a stove. Our stove had died so we needed one right away. There wasn't a customer to be seen which should have been a red flag right at the beginning. The sales staff that helped us did so begrudgingly as if we were disturbing her and then told us at the end that they had no stock on site or available for at least 3 months. Then stayed at her desk and didn't look at us again...didn't even say a goodbye. Maybe Coast is working mainly with contractors now but don't think we will go there again. Weird experience honestly!

But I'd like to emphasize Midland's good vibes. 3 days ago, I was desperate to find a piece for a faucet that I bought 15 years ago in a business close by Midland and I couldn't find the store. Long story short, the faucet store is long gone, but they helped me (I didn't told them I was a former customer) tracking another store which pointed to another one. This morning I received the piece missing and I'm a happy and relieved camper. You guys rock!

I realized I would have got a better deal at the Brick and sooner. Horrible experience with Sales. Logistic was good. No compensation for their error. Disgusted how it was handled.

Ryan Steward: Dimitrios was our main contact for the Midland team in Vancouver and he was incredible from our first inquiry, recommending products in the style/size/budget we required, communicative throughout the process, and transparent in the lead times of when appliances would be available. Being notified that the dishwasher model we chose was pushed out indefinitely meant we could pivot to another brand (again recommended by Dimitrios being mindful of budget and comparable model specs) and have it arrive within our reno timeline. First, we went to the showroom primarily to look at appliances but figured we would buy from a business closer to our new home. Given how great Emil was and the competitive pricing we got, we bought everything from them. Second, we were nervous about actually getting our appliances given the pandemic and resultant supply chain issues (it's rough these days), and getting everything in time to work with our renovation schedule. Emil worked hard to make it all happen, which was a huge relief for us. We highly recommend Emil and the Midland team!
J-P Bach: Ordered a miele dishwasher. Received no delivery or installation assistance from Midland. Miele kept changing delivery date and then neglected to line up an installer. Had to go it alone and find and hire my own installer. Had the new dishwasher sitting in my kitchen for over a week and then after installation I had to hire a service to remove the old one which took several days. Midland provided no value at all. Miele neglected to reverse their multiple charges for installation as agreed and when they finally got around to it they told me I had to wait four weeks. Midland could have been far more proactive. But they just sell. Between miele and midland I lost at least 8 hours of time and all miele had to say was essentially “we didn’t meet your expectations”. And weeks later still no refund from miele
Carl L.: We ordered a new oven because our old one broke unexpectedly, they said they would have it delivered by the first week of June. We hear nothing about it by the second week so we call and they tell us we will be getting it around the end of August. We then call to speak with the salesman and he said that he actually does have the oven but he has to call to see if anyone else wants it and he’ll call us back. He does not call us back and we end up ordering from Best Buy and get the stove in two days after ordering. Turns out they just oversold the ovens and didn’t actually have one to give to us. We can’t go that long without an oven or stove.Also, they said as a favour for going with them, they will give us an air fryer for free (usually you have to buy it extra). Actually, it’s not extra, it comes with the oven normally and you don’t have to buy it anyways.

Purchased an item online to have it shipped to my address. They use Purolater as the shipping company who apparently doesn't leave shipping notices if they are unable to leave the package in the receiver's hands. And as Best Buy didn't provide a phone number for Purolater to call me at I was left with a package in limbo. Called Best Buy who told me to call Purolater of course and Purolater tells me the package is somewhere in their warehouse and will take upwards of 48 hours to track down and send back out. Totally unacceptable. When requesting the whole thing be cancelled and I just pick it up in store instead it was impossible. I was told I had to wait the 48 hours for Purolater to track it down and return it to Best Buy who would then take 3-5 business days to give me money back. So about a week's wait with no product and to get my money back. This is some of the worst pass the buck customer service I have ever experienced. And then the supervisor from Best Buy hangs up on you when you state your disbelief about how I can be out the product and my money with no resolution. Lesson learned, I will never order from Best Buy again.

Bob Elner: We called in "Handy Appliances", Vancouver, to more firmly secure our dishwasher under the kitchen counter-top. Their experienced technician, Alex, arrived on schedule and completed a professional job (no additional parts necessary) in under an hour. However, our very positive impression was shattered on receiving an invoice for over $290.00! While Alex's time was billed at a reasonable $98.00 per hour, there was a whopping $179.95 + taxes charge for a mysteriously vague "diagnostic" fee .. when NO DIAGNOSIS was required as the exact problem was clearly explained prior to the call-out. Standard, expected fair business practice in Canada would have been to include Alex's time within the diagnosis fee as the work was completed within the statutory first hour and there was zero additional time involved. I note that other Google reviewers have complained about the same poor practice but without any change in this company's policies. I recommend potential new customers make their own informed assessment of the gobbledygook quoted below directly from their website and shop around before hiring "Handy Appliances" - fortunately, for Vancouverites, there are reputable appliance repair businesses operating in the area with both experienced technicians and clearly stated competitive rates:......"Our diagnosis fee includes :Technician’s travel time/fuelDiagnosis TimeCheck parts availability & quote price* If you decide to proceed after the diagnostic, labour will be billed in addition to the diagnostic fee. You can expect additional labour to be $50.00 to $150.00 approx. range. We bill according to the appliance bluebook.com and provide the labor quote + parts cost upfront. When the service tech arrived, he wasn't aware of the 2nd appliance.The service tech stayed 45 minutes to look at both appliances with the statement that for one appliance no repair parts are available and for the other no definitive answer.For the 45 minutes, they charged the fee per appliance of $136 or $272 in total. This is apparently company policy to cover call out time, etc.Seriously, hourly that works out to over $360 per hour! This may be company policy, but in my opinion, bad business and we are done with our customer relationship.We used to recommend. No longer.

You can easily find them online at half the price. But other psychs such as home electronics, gadgets and appliances are at a good price. S p: EXTREMELY Pushy salespeople, and at the same time not knowledgeable about the products at all. Used car salesmen are like angels compared to some of these Best Buy salespeople. Worst part is that they INSIST that they are Not on commission, while literally doing ANYhthing to push you to buy...! I take it as a direct insult for someone to look directly into my eyes and lie so clearly and obviously into my face....Oh and I also had the pleasure of dealing with their Geek Squad for TV installation. After paying 350 Dollars for a TV mount, the first time they messed up the installation - they were nice people though. I had to book a second appointment which was scheduled for a few days later. The 2nd group who showed up at the 2nd appointment were so rude!!! And I ended up with extra holes on my wall and a TV which afterall was not installed at the height that I had originally asked for. Because they couldn't make holes too close to the holes that the first group initially made in the first appointment.In short, I describe their Geek Squad personnel as "Rookies". Definitely Not worth the 350 dollars to have a messed up TV mount and extra holes on your wall.

Gabrielle Zeitler: This review is not specific to Park Royal Best Buy, but Best Buy as a whole.We purchased a dishwasher, the installation fee, and the haul away fee. When the contractors came, I mentioned to them that we paid to have our old dishwasher taken away as well (a separate fee) but they said they knew nothing about it. They then left without taking the old dishwasher.When we I contacted customer service at Best Buy to handle this, I was passed around to 4 different people before being told that only one department handled these inquiries, and that they can only be reached by phone (fine).I have called this department over 10 times within their office hours and they either do not pick up, or do not offer solutions. I have spoken to so many different people and no one has been helpful. We have even tried offering solutions, but they say none of them can be done. It has been a very frustrating experience and my old dishwasher is still sitting outside my house.

Kadyn Zientz: I had just gone to this location looking at purchasing a switch. Didn’t end up getting it but when I was leaving I noticed they had 4 sets of joy cons priced at 21.99 so I grabbed a set because I thought hey they’ve gotta honour it especially if they’ve got 4 there. Went up to the cash to pay and then got told they’re 112.99 I refused and showed them the picture of the price it was posted at and they refused to give it to me at that price because the product didn’t match the tag. I brought up the fact that if it was still wrong they’d have to honour it and take 10 dollars off because it is a law, they still refused to give it at the price and I had asked for the manager. The manager walked over and was told the situation and they just nodded their head and didn’t say anything . Very disappointed in the service that was provided, if your staff knows that the product is in the wrong place then there should be proper tags for the products. I will not support this location of Best Buy. I have a friend that works at Best Buy and it’s posted in the back on a plague that if products are in the wrong place they must honour the pricing and taking 10 dollars off.

D S: Best buy has a lot of good deals, but money is better spent on amazon if you're doing an online order. Best buy uses Purolator and your packages almost never get delivered. Amazon actually delivers your packages to your door. With Purolator, you'll be chasing down your package, calling them and messaging them to ask them to hold your package at their location, after which you need to take the bus out there. This is REALLY inconvenient to Best Buy customers, I would suggest they review this and see how they can make it better! Perhaps the Purolator shipping information could contain a Buzzer Number field, and phone number field to help the drivers actually deliver the package? If you need a signature, you might as well just have them leave a slip and have the customer pick it up from a Purolator office. Purolator fails to deliver packages 9/10 times. Best Buy definitely needs to review this, because it's not working the way it is.

G S: Ex Best Buy staff here but I was at HQ, so I know how good they there in order giving good experience for their customers. Anyway, I can't remember during peak time do they store staff get additional incentive like sales commissions? The moment I step into this stores it's like lack of motivation. the staffs like more focus to chit chat among them specifically around mobile phone area. I still bought a phone cause of price matching or else would just walk away.
C Maxwell: I can see why Best Buy is going to go out of business. Went in on Boxing Day, there has to be at least 50 employees working but everyone is chatting up their colleagues. No one seems available to help and when we tried to check out we had to wait a long time to be noticed by the groups of staff. For some reason they closed the mall exit till like 10 minutes before closing? I get that it’s a holiday but for someone who want to support employment it makes it hard not shop at Amazon instead. Huge waste of time, effort and fuel.

Prepare to do your own research before coming to the store because the workers will not be able to provide any information.I was looking for a product and the appliance specialist informed me that it was out of stock. I was pointed towards the wrong section multiple times and couldn’t find it myself which is why I asked him for help. I checked the website and it said the item was available at this location, so I asked him to check the aisle or show me where it is. After searching for 10 minutes, I had to locate it by myself.The cashier had no clue what their own price match policy is. I can understand if the employees don’t know every last detail about all the products in Best Buy as they have so many different lines. What I can not understand is a cashier who does not know their payment policies. He did not know what their tap machine limit was, and had to constantly intercom his manager for help. When I asked him about the return policy, he pulled out his phone to Google what the policy was.This location is essentially a self-serve station. There is no positive input from any of the staff, and it’s a better use of your time to do everything yourself. Best Buy please reconsider how your staff benefit your customers and business.This experience has deterred me from ever considering purchasing from Best Buy again. There are many other better retailers who can provide information and customer service in store.

Aman Nijjer: Worst service I've ever experienced. What ever you do, DON'T BUY THE EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN!! Their warranty is a scam. They charged me an extra $2300 dollars for a replacement phone and then sent me a broken phone. It looks new but it keeps rebooting on its own. Not seldom, some times it happens 4 times in one hour. clearly a broken phone. The replacement phone wasn't even the same color as the original phone. To top it off when I called the customer service they keep telling me there is no supervisor in today and they will call me back but it has been over a week and I still haven't heard back from them. What a horrible experience. I strongly advise not to use this company and what ever you do, DON'T GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!

Nia N'Gola: The reason I gave two stars is because I was surprisingly able to find help after being avoided by staff during my visit.I had bought a 128GB SanDisk memory card about two months ago, but it ran out of storage.I asked an associate who was standing in front of the entrance greeting people for some help. He told me to walk over to Geek Squad (his gestures and body language made it seem as if I was going to hurt him lol).The guy working at Geek Squad told me to wait in the area I needed help at. I ended up waiting for nearly 15 minutes. It wasn't busy at all early yesterday afternoon.Another associate mindlessly looked over and passed me after helping someone els as I was stood in front of SD cards. I literally had to approach him for assistance. He called over another associate, but she didn't know much about cameras, so she called over another worker named Steven.Steven was very knowledgeable and assuring when it came to answering my questions about camera storage. He also helped me pick out the right memory card for my Sony camera. Thanks, Steven!

Harsha Dhingraa: It was not my first time but surely first time using best buy service to buy a phone. It literally took about an hour or so to wrap the whole procedure including all formalities + insurance process and selecting the phone accessories. The representative - Neeraj was kind enough to assist me with ease and explain the process. Also, there was some issue with my credit score in the system. He immediately called customer support and got that sorted. I am impressed with best buy service all over and would recommend trying it.
