Graham Peterson: **DO NOT BUY PLANTS FROM HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES**We bought one plant from here and it was rife with spider mites, it completely decimated all of our plants we own, expensive ones, ones we’ve had for years with no problems. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. There is no way they have that under control at the store, and I doubt they spray them at all.Save yourself days of headache trying to save your plants and never buy any plants from here EVER.
Moira Casey: I tried to contact HD to find out if a curtain rod I wanted to order was able to be installed on the ceiling. "Customer Service" contacted me 3 days later to let me know that they could only help me if I wanted to order custom window coverings with installation. Unbelievable.

Charlene Myers: To the sweet older gentleman who sold me my air conditioner 10+ years ago, I have never forgotten you! It is because of you I survive every summer. I was in a greenhouse worthy sweltering apartment at the time and this man was amazing. Along with his professionalism, he went full Dad mode, full of care and empathy, and treated me like family and pointed me in the right direction, and gave me hot tips how to get the most out of my A/C. Sadly I have totally forgotten his name, but its never too late for a good review. So wherever you are, thank you! :)
D: Parking at this place is next to impossible!You must take a parking ticket when you arrive Try to find a parking spot in this very crammed and dark underground parkade Remember to present the ticket at the store checkout if you want to have the cost credited off your purchase Then don’t forget to pay for the parking at these inconspicuous machines in the underground parking area (that is if you still have the ticket and remember which pocket you put it in, otherwise be prepared to pay $25) Remember to retrieve your ticket from the machine and take it with you Find your car and drive out through the barriers which will only open if you insert a paid parking ticket.And heaven help you if you slipped up on any of the above procedure - you’ll be trapped in your car at the barrier gates unable to get out with horns honking behind you.On top of this, they have coated the floor of the parking area with this sticky paint that causes car tires to loudly screech on rainy days every time you turn the wheel. When the lot is busy, as it usually is, you need hearing protection to prevent your ears from being blasted with this multi-tire screeching sound that reverberates throughout this cavernous space.

Helen R: I just want to say that I experienced exceptional service at the Home Depot, Terminal Ave., Vancouver today. When I asked for directions, I was taken to the place where the plants were, and Olive, bless her heart, she actually loaded in my topsoil for me. Everyone was in a very customer service oriented mood, and it was a real pleasure to shop there. The choices of plants were abundant and they were all good quality. However, the prices have gone up quite substantially since last summer. It is still my “go to” place for home gardening materials.

I looked everywhere, then a store employee (Wing) came up to me and said Are you finding what you are looking for? I say I t h i n k soooo. I show him the photo and he tells me about the a/c I purchased, and that there are more parts missing than I realize. After saying this, he shows me how to improvise and what will work. Shows me how to connect it all too! A whole instruction class right there!!!I got home, and followed his instructions and WOW I am living in coolness thanks to Wing!

Asked for discount, was refused , called for a manager and after a long-long discussion was given 30% discount.Usually in Home Depot or other home stores at least 50% off the retail price goes without saying for a ripped packaging.Different code of conduct? Was vey disappointed at the store.

Gordie Greer: This has been the worst customer service experience ever. I wanted two chairs, that they said they had in stock. Had to wait 45 minutes, then they suddenly could only find one. Then they said they’d ship the other. They brought us to the till, and it took them 30 minutes to figure out how to do what they said, then I just left. These guys are awful, I will never go back.

Wayne Essar: I drove 40 minutes from a city nearby to purchase 4 Fiskars harvesting knives.The inventory online showed 11 items in stock.Three staff members looked faithfully.On my second visit to customer service a young person with a badge reading "Trainee" solved this 1 (one) hour riddle in 45 seconds by saying "none had been sold in the last two months so the inventory number was incorrect" Thank you! to "Trainee" but why was no one else able to access that information.Not wishing to waste a trip, I bought a couple of 3.8 cubic foot peat moss bails.The kind cashier called three times for loading help in fifteen minutes and then saw a person and approached them personally to help. They did not wish to but another person was found.Thank you to the self serve cashier for her hard work on my behalf.

ET: Slow, clueless and unprofessional.Good luck trying to find a staff in customer service. if you do, most staff seem to operate at 0.5x speed.The staff also kept speaking Hindi in front of a caucasian customer and was making fun of her returning a 2 dollar product and the way she dressed.At the self-checkout, the staff seem more interested to play with her phone than to actually help customer out.
D Y: Average home improvement super store. There's never enough staff when you need to ask a question, and for the inexperienced, it's hard to find items in such a big place. The prices are okay, but not the best.

No 1 showed up. 1 of the employees walked by, but he tried to help. Didn't know much about them. He could tell me the price. You guys have to get the managers out on the floor to help people out. Not in the back taking stock. Sad

Heather Cuthbertson: Edit: though they claim in their response to come back for a full refund they refused absolutely. Stay away. Horrible service.We have had multiple issues with this location. For one of our jobs our clients decided the colour was too dark so we asked the manager if they could tint it half strength and she said absolutely. When we got back to the job site and applied it to the wall it was the exact same colour. Upon going back to the store the manager said if we wanted it 50% lighter we had to ask for 75% lighter for the computer to register. Yesterday we took in a colour match chip and when we went to pick it up it was completely off. They make you pay before you order the paint. We told them to fix the colour and again they blamed the computers. We left it overnight for them to correct and came back today and the colour was still not right. They refused a refund. I compared it with me making a client pay me before I do the job, doing a terrible paint job, then refusing to give them their money back.Stay away from this place. The manager is rude and looks down her nose at you. North Van Dulux is where to go for colour matches, and you don’t pay until you’re happy.

I would have appreciated a heads up that I was being given something completely different. Definitely wont be back.

Sean Smith: The paint shop that can’t tint paint. Picked up a quart of premixed ceiling paint at the Broadway store because it’s near work and I knew I could be there during business hours. Get the paint home and sure enough the ceiling was cloud white, slightly more yellow. Not a big deal, at $80 a gallon I’m sure they could tweak it a little to make it close enough. Took it to park and tilford (near my house) and she couldn’t tint it because it didn’t “have a barcode on the can”. Yep, she said the paint was “untintable”. She was physically unable to add a single drop of yellow to it. Nor did she have the tintable ceiling paint to sell me. Also kept repeating that the product wasn’t suitable for a closet even though I kept repeating that is was a ceiling in a closet. No language barrier going on, fluent English on both ends. I’m sure it’s because I didn’t buy the can from that store, and if she said that I wouldn’t be writing this, I just would have never bought paint there ever again. Bizzare experience. I bet you Dulux will tint it.

Michael Ostrowercha: During this Covid year I decided that without work I was going to make my house my full time job. When it came to paint, this was the only place I would go. Not only is the paint awesome but the staff is very helpful and their knowledge of process, and which colours go best with which, is fantastic. I worked with all the staff but my "go to" was Janelle. She helped me select the perfect colour for the outside of the house and was on the mark with suggestions for the inside. Thank you Janelle and all the staff!

ulearn: One individual stood out among the rest - Scott, whose exceptional customer service skills shone through at Home Depot's Henning location.When I couldn't find the desired 24" x 48" corrugated plastic sheets due to their unavailability, Scott came to my rescue. Despite only having larger 48" x 96" sheets in stock, he willingly offered to cut one in half for me, even though I didn't have any tools with me. Scott's helpfulness was refreshing, especially after encountering three other unhelpful employees. As my young daughter astutely pointed out, Scott was the only staff member who made us feel truly welcome.The management team at Home Depot should acknowledge and appreciate employees like Scott, as his outstanding customer service sets an example for his peers to follow.

Spirit G: With over 300 pounds of material on my cart, your employee stopped me mid-turn, and had a tug of war with me over the cart.He yanked the cart away from me, reaching over my arms to force me off it, just so he could turn it the opposite direction that it was already moving, entirely without necessity, just to take me out of the checkout line that I was already in, and over to the self checkouts.This action could have caused severe injuries to all persons involved.I have never had any behavior like this towards me at any home Depot across the entire nation.The employee who acted this way took me to the cashier who is shown on my pictured receipt. The cashier did nothing wrong, but may know who he was.He did not have a visible name tag, but was clearly a home depot employee.

Alison Arsenault: Needed a good coverage paint but didn’t have a ton of information on the room (because I had not received the keys yet to the unit yet ) but had a wonderful experience with friendly and knowledgeable staff that helped me through picking out my paint and tools, would definitely make the journey over the bridge to shop there again!
David Thomson: Sasha, the in-house decorator consultant, offered us great ideas we never would have thought of, in just a 15 minute free in-store consultation. That, plus the great knowledgeable service and high-quality paints make this our go-to paint store for 20 years.
Kelsey Smart: It can feel daunting to go in and choose just 1 shade of paint, from the bazillion choices available... but with the help of the on-site interior designer, Lisa McGladrey... within just a few minutes, I had a handful of sample colour chips to bring home and review. Next step is to paint a small sample onto my wall to make sure it's the colour I want... can't wait to see the end result 😃
TJ Kelly: I went to this location excited to ask about paint and wallpaper for redoing my kitchen. I had heard good things about the store and the selection and planned to take some time there and likely purchase paint. However, I was in the store for quite a while looking at paint samples and waiting to ask for help with the wallpaper books and like a previous reviewer here has said before, no one helped me and the staff at the counter actually proceeded to help two people that came in after me instead. I got no eye contact from anyone, no greeting, no service. I waited a while to see if I'd be helped or at least acknowledged as staff walked by me and other customers finished up what they were in there for. Nope. Not the best experience. I wouldn't recommend this store if you're looking for staff that want to help you.
Charles Wilkinson: Super knowledgeable staff. Great products. But definitely not to be confused with the not great Benjamin Moore outlet at Park and Tillford.

Lindsey Dia: Best service and products hands down! I DIY and over the years purchased from "other competitors", however .... as I always thought BM paint was on the pricier side it was well worth it. The paint quality IS SUPERIOR. The paint and the finish they recommended specifically in my halls and high traffic area looks amazing and lux. I went in earlier today for swatches and wall paper, spent hours in the store without being hassled. All questions asked even with pricing and recommendations. Thank you for tolerating me and welcoming me while I made decisions with my McDonalds breakfast. I had a blast considering home updates are usually confusing.

I found a worker (unfortunately I didn't get her name) but she was amazing I asked if I could barrow her phone to call my dad and she let me but my dad didn't pick up so, the lady brought me inside, she put my goalie gear in a cart and brought me some water. she was so calm and just took me to customer service. she took such good care of me until my dad came. I am super impressed with this store and I am so grateful that this store has some amazing people working there. this store was outstanding with their customer care and trained just so well. I will be returning again as a future customer again. 5 STARS!!!

Whenever I’ve come here for whatever product I find the staff very helpful, the prices are much cheaper than other places and they have a huge selection.Now that the garden works store in North Vancouver is closed I came here and discovered that they have the BEST prices on their huge selection of pots, flowers, soil etc.They do need to change their entrance though. For those with disabilities it’s a huge pain to go all the way around to one entrance. It makes more sense to have multiple entrances to welcome people into the store.
D X: Faye in the kitchen section was extremely helpful in helping me with moen faucet cartridge replacement. I called the store last Friday, Faye took the call and the cartridge was out of stock, so she said she will follow up with me when the cartridge is in. Surely, she notified me about the cartridge availability 6 days later. So I picked up the cartridge the same day, in talking to her at the store, I found she is also very knowledgeable about the products. Faye demonstrated true excellent customer service in going an extra mile for me. I recommend her and home depot store at West Vancouver. Thank you, Faye!

David Sheng: Was at home depot to look for a plumbing fitting. Asked staff for help finding it. The person did find what I asked for, however it wasn't what I needed as I mentioned it didn't look right. He then told me that I need a compression style and then stood off to the side for a minute before walking away. I get that I made an error in what I requested but the worker could have helped me find the correct piece once it was identified. I was not able to find the correct piece and left without making a purchase. I will not go back unless there is no other option.

My review is based upon my experience with poor customer service.Some background information: on May 10, 2022, I purchased a vertical storage shed from your location. Due to recent bylaw changes, I was required to remove the shed, and the receipt noted that the 90 day return policy ended on August 8, 2022.On April 26, 2023 at 1:44PM, I phoned your location and spoke with a woman who spoke fluent English explaining my situation and asked if I could still return the shed for store credit. This woman agreed and informed me that I can bring the shed back to the Richmond location and the on site staff will assist me with returning the shed for store credit. When I asked this woman for her name, she refused to do so and stated that I won't need it, and that any available staff can help me.Two days later, after spending a considerable amount of time and effort to rent a truck and asking my family members to help me transport the shed to your store, my request to return the shed for store credit was rudely declined by assistant manager Sharif.My dissatisfaction is not from not being able to return the shed, but due to being misled by staff, followed by being treated rudely after spending two days organizing to transport the shed, and also having my time and effort wasted. Had your employee been clear on the phone about not being able to provide an exchange for credit, I would not have gone through so much trouble and spent additional resources to transport the shed.Please properly educate your employees. Their actions demonstrates either ignorance or dishonesty, and reflects poorly on your company brand.Thank you,

The client called customer service to explain the situation. The returns staff Fred and Mostafa were absolutely amazing, professional, and efficient. Lester helped me move the items from my car to the store. I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes!I have always been a fan of Home Depot and their great service, but this really took things to another level. Makes me wonder why I/we would ever go anywhere else!Thanks guys you are the best!!
