Bradley Jones: I had a great experience at Benjamin Paint Store on Broadway in Vancouver! The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to answer all my questions about the various types of paint and supplies they had. The store had a great selection of different paints and finishes, and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. The prices were also very reasonable, and I was able to get the supplies I needed at a great price. Overall, I had a great experience at Benjamin Paint Store and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for paint supplies in Vancouver.

Michael Wong: Had some idea of our colour scheme going into the store but met Michelle here who really helped to educate us on what was possible and suggested colours and ideas we hadn't contemplated at first. Everything turned out beautifully and the quality of the paint and colour combinations are one of the first things our guests comment on when they visit. On repeated visits to see her she showed that she cared about our project and a keen interest in how things turned out relatively to our location, furniture, the seasons, etc. Michelle and the folks here have a strong understanding of colour and of their products and they made us feel we could really trust their recommendations.

Michelle visited our place, listedned to our ideas and preferences and brought them to the next level - helped pick the classy hues of the colour tones that we envisioned, and brought the differenet colours of all the rooms into one elegant theme for the condo. Michelle gave some amazing interior design tips along the way, and we came out of the session with such an upgraded image of what we want the condo to look like. We found this service of colour consultation extremely helpful.

I ordered paint from them, they told me it would be ready in an hour, so I took the afternoon off of work to go pick it up and they didn't even have it when I arrived. They said it was out of stock but they never even called me to tell me. They totally wasted my time and they weren't even sorry about. When I called the manager to complain, he hung up on me.
michael lizares: Lots of colors and options to choose from. You can also ask them about the shade you want and they can help you with it. They will give you advice on what type or kind of paint is best to use if your into DIY things.

Golden Jai: Horrible. Wanted to know price of the paint so I can order (also gave her the paint SKU). Called on April 20 at 2:00. A women picked up and said she will not help me because they are not open for public right now (Corvid 19). I ask her if she can just let me know the price for now. She replied "NO, I have hundred of things to do right now and i do not want to deal with you now." So I asked her if she know the prices, she replied again "Yes I know the price, but I am not dealing with you." ..... No idea how I piss her off.... just calling to ask for price so I can place the order later....

Ellen Ho: It was my first time purchasing paint, the person doing the painting of fascia boards was busy and sent me to the store to make the purchase. I did not know anything about painting. At the counter I asked for paint to use on fascia boards and showed the colour sample that I had picked out, I also let the staff know that I am new to painting and needed his advice. The staff asked if I needed a gallon and I told him I needed two. Since this was my first time purchasing, I thought it was normal that the receipt showed 2 @ $89.49. I was surprised to see two cans when my paint was ready, but then I thought maybe they only come in one gallon cans. It was only when I brought the paint back that my friend told me I overpaid, 2 gallons of paint would be cheaper than two 1-gallon cans. I am not impressed, the staff should have checked with me if they knew I needed two gallons and they were going to give me something that costed more than what I should have paid.------I called the customer service number provided in the response and was told that Sherwin-Williams do not offer discount for 2 gallons of paint, so the store did not overcharge me. However, if I have to update the score, I would change it to 0 star. I found that I needed another gallon of paint, so I went back to the store but they did not have any! Since I needed the paint to finish the job, I asked if any other stores had stock. The customer service rep called another store on the spot and he got hung up by the other store. He then told me they are too busy to help me, and that I should go home and call other stores myself! I work in retail myself, I would never waste customers' time like that.And to finish off the story, I called the Kerrisdale store and the person answering the phone told me that the paint is discontinued and not available anymore! I was shocked. I called the main customer service number again and was told the Kerrisdale store had a few gallons in stock. This made me very confused. I took the chance and went to the store and sure enough they have stock. What an experience! Sherwin-Williams certainly scored zero in customer service.

Steve Magown: Went in with pictures of what needed to be painted. I was told I would need a full gallon of primer and a gallon of tinted paint. Clerk recommended a more expensive paint and then changed his mind when he realized it was out of stock. I completed the prime coat and barely used half a quart. They upsold me beyond belief. Now what do I do with this leftover wasted paint. Very unprofessional.

Nicholas Candaele: Terrible customer service from one of the managers tonight...did not seem to want to provide any customer service. Asked if he could kindly set aside a few samples (I provided a picture) since I was coming close to closing time, and he said NO we don't do that. Going to Benjamin Moore now.

There was a phone order mix up for exterior paint that we only realized once we opened the boxes and wanted to tint. Kanau was very courteous, fair and helpful. He went beyond his duties and offered to exchange the paints at his home store. We were between a rock and a hard place. Kudos to Kanau for fair play and great management skills.

My new FAVOURITE product is EXTREME BOND PRIMER , I’ve never used anything so amazing ....I also really like their mistints section .

Heather Cuthbertson: Edit: though they claim in their response to come back for a full refund they refused absolutely. Stay away. Horrible service.We have had multiple issues with this location. For one of our jobs our clients decided the colour was too dark so we asked the manager if they could tint it half strength and she said absolutely. When we got back to the job site and applied it to the wall it was the exact same colour. Upon going back to the store the manager said if we wanted it 50% lighter we had to ask for 75% lighter for the computer to register. Yesterday we took in a colour match chip and when we went to pick it up it was completely off. They make you pay before you order the paint. We told them to fix the colour and again they blamed the computers. We left it overnight for them to correct and came back today and the colour was still not right. They refused a refund. I compared it with me making a client pay me before I do the job, doing a terrible paint job, then refusing to give them their money back.Stay away from this place. The manager is rude and looks down her nose at you. North Van Dulux is where to go for colour matches, and you don’t pay until you’re happy.

M C: I was looking at a water based primer but the cashier gave me a different one instead (which I admittedly blindly took because I don't know much about painting). Turns out its an oil based primer, the fumes in my house are crazy and my brushes are ruined. I specifically asked if this one was similar to the (water based) one I originally wanted to buy and was told yes. I would have appreciated a heads up that I was being given something completely different. Definitely wont be back.

Sean Smith: The paint shop that can’t tint paint. Picked up a quart of premixed ceiling paint at the Broadway store because it’s near work and I knew I could be there during business hours. Get the paint home and sure enough the ceiling was cloud white, slightly more yellow. Not a big deal, at $80 a gallon I’m sure they could tweak it a little to make it close enough. Took it to park and tilford (near my house) and she couldn’t tint it because it didn’t “have a barcode on the can”. Yep, she said the paint was “untintable”. She was physically unable to add a single drop of yellow to it. Nor did she have the tintable ceiling paint to sell me. Also kept repeating that the product wasn’t suitable for a closet even though I kept repeating that is was a ceiling in a closet. No language barrier going on, fluent English on both ends. I’m sure it’s because I didn’t buy the can from that store, and if she said that I wouldn’t be writing this, I just would have never bought paint there ever again. Bizzare experience. I bet you Dulux will tint it.

Michael Ostrowercha: During this Covid year I decided that without work I was going to make my house my full time job. When it came to paint, this was the only place I would go. Not only is the paint awesome but the staff is very helpful and their knowledge of process, and which colours go best with which, is fantastic. I worked with all the staff but my "go to" was Janelle. She helped me select the perfect colour for the outside of the house and was on the mark with suggestions for the inside. Thank you Janelle and all the staff!

Louie R: Went in to get some Weatherguard paint to cover up some grafitti on a stucco wall. I was advised that due to irregular surface of stucco, colour matching would be difficult. Manager advised to come see senior customer service rep Kim Chow for the colour matching. She did a great job in matching the colour. She is very experienced and good at what she does! Will see her for future colour matches.
Jeet Ram: Went there during the week day, Chetan helped me to choose the stain for outside. Super nice experience. I think there was new staff working with her,tall young boy. He needed her help for few questions. She was pretty multitasking. I went there on Saturday, I think she don't work Saturday anymore. Well awesome 👌 job for her. I wish good luck for her bright future with dulux ahead.

Floyd Maloy: I would like to share my experience with the public about dulox paint on Kingsway. The manager Scott is a super manager and so nice to speak with. He helped me to colour in match the paint to a cement paint that was absolutely perfect and also to help me with a $12 can of paint and made into a nice grey colour that made the cabinets in the garage perfect. He is kind and caring and loves his job and it's one of the best managers I've met yet. If you are looking for a paint go to Kingsway and Burnaby and ask for Scott. Also too I am a senior and he accommodated a discount for us that we are very grateful for. I am sure one day he will be a district manager and leads by example. Thabk you Denise and Peter. I will give him 10 Stars yes

They have a really wide selection of paints and brushes!And on request all of the staff have given me really good advice for any new projects that I may be working on for home or work which I very much appreciate!!!Every paint I was of really good quality! I would definitely prefer this place over anywhere else because it’s a big place but it also isn’t too overwhelming and I would say that much more organized than a few other places I’ve been to, which is a super super plus!!!I wish they opened a little later though but that’s not really a problem 😊👍👍👍Thank you, have a good one!!!

Nick Kam: 💥They have a new system.📢No matter you bring the color what you existing in your room to touch up.Maybe you want some particular color.The new system allowed as close as the color match.Please take times to talk with staff specialist. I guarantee you will learn a lot from them. I go Kingsway and Victoria Street that branch. One of the Asians lady very kind with patient to tell me and teach me by the right things what I want.I'm appreciate and enjoying the hospitality services.👍

Cindy Hu: Employee unskilled at matching paint and assistant manager wouldn’t allow return unless we prove their poor skills. No customer service sense.We gave them the original developer formula to match the paint, plus a swatch from the wall. Came out visibly yellow. Another Dulux franchise employee looked at the paint and the original formula and was already able to tell it’s too yellow.Because they’re franchised, the other location preferred us returning to the original store that made the mistake.We drove all the way there again and they wouldn’t let us return unless we cut another piece off the wall to prove their mistake.

Heather: The doors had a sign that read 3 ppl max in store, which is crazy considering how much free space is inside. I never made it past the doors & was wearing a mask. I was asked to go back out side and wait by a mumbly associate yelling at me from across the floor from behind the counter, so I left. Rude & negative experience.
