Boyd Thomson: By far my favourite place to practice in the city.
Rosemary Winks: My favorite studio in the city! Been coming here for years now and love all of the teachers and staff here. Such a beautiful open space with floor to ceiling windows and pretty lace curtains. I love the bike rack placed inside the studio where you don't need to worry about your bike. Also love the free street parking if you attend the 7am classes (bonus!). There's a wide range of classes from Rocket to puppy yoga, you will love it here as much as I do. ♥️
Ghazal: I had a great time at Vanessa's inversion and arm balances class. Vanessa went over the fundamentals of the postures and taught us prep work for each one. We practiced many different poses over the course of two hours.The studio is beautiful and spacious. They have a large changing area but no lockers. However, the entrance to the studio is kept closed to ensure the safety. They also have a bike rack, which is a big plus!

Alicia Shields: I came to Stretch for a puppy-yoga class. The environment and the ambiance were fantastic, and all the staff were kind and helpful. Plus of course the puppies were so cute!They played music throughout the class using a portable speaker. The music added to the ambiance, but I was right next to the speaker and at times had a bit of a hard time hearing the instructions. The yoga was beginner level, so it gave a good stretch but had nothing too challenging for someone like me who doesn't really know what they're doing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a mental boost, or just wants an excuse to hang out with puppies for an hour.

Stephen Ewashkiw: There are so many reasons that I love STRETCH.The studio is rooted in a scientific approach to yoga and within that framework teachers have space for their own styles and approaches. This leads to great classes from a range of teachers.As a cyclist I really appreciate their indoor bike rack. I don't have to worry abut my bike while I practice, which is a rarity in Vancouver.When I first started practicing here one thing that struck me was how welcoming the team and space are. A lot of care has obviously gone into designing a space that welcomes you and makes you feel safe and at home; the staff are all very open and helpful.There is a lot of space in each of the change rooms (which continue with the design of the rest of the space) and they are always spotless and well stocked. They also have showers so if you are heading off to work or play after class you can always freshen up.Full disclosure: I like the studio so much that once I was taking classes there I wanted to teach in their community (I'm a yoga teacher). I am now on their sub teacher list and once in a while I teach classes there.
Lili Tessier: The team at Stretch goes above and beyond in providing a safe space in which to practice. The community is welcoming, this studio is a positive space.Each of the teacher's personal teaching and cueing styles are integral in creating a multifaceted approach to mindfulness and overall well-being.

NuAGE Laser & Skin Care: I have struggled working out independently because of my scoliosis, as I often injure myself. So I decided to go to the professionals for the following reasons;1. To learn how to work out so that I don’t injure myself.2. To be guided towards my fitness goals.3. To have someone to keep me accountable.4. Have fun doing it!I’ve worked out with trainers off and on in the past and by far this gym is the winner.At innovative fitness I got all of those and I’ve made great friends. I recommend them because;1. The level of care and professionalism is unbeatable.2. They explain things throughly so you actually understand how the body works.3. I get more out of two workouts per week then the 4-5 days that I use to do in the past.4. The team feels like a fun family. Bryan Fa: Although I haven't been at Innovative Fitness for too long, I would highly recommend the training provided there. The results after one month are very noticeable; aside from the gains, I have been able to drop my 2km erg time by 20 seconds to 8:22.The coaches are superb and teach you what you want to learn/achieve in sessions. The staff are also very amiable. Scheduling and organization are great and hours are relatively flexible. Prices are a bit steep but well worth it for the results.Overall, a great place to workout and get fit.
William Zhao: This place is awesome. Its’s just such an good environment to workout at. The locker rooms are clean, the staff is nice, and the equipment is well taken care of. I also definitely need to mention the trainers are top tier, they all know what they’re talking about and excel in every category. Well done, great gym.
Eric Lorenz: I’ve been a client here for more than 7 years and even as trainers come and go, the consistent quality of my sessions have stayed the same or improved over time. I came in looking to lose weight - achieved to the tune of 55 pounds lost over 5 months in 2017! - and have since been focused on building upper body muscle mass (my legs get plenty of work from cycling and running), increasing my back and shoulder strength, and to be honest, looking jacked. All the trainers I’ve had at IF along the way have helped push me to achieve my own goals whatever they’ve been plus have nudged me toward other practices that help me that I might not otherwise do (like core and stretching). I expect to stay with IF for years to come.
Howard Blank: IF Kits is simply the best!! In under one year I have dropped over 20 pounds and gained muscle mass. The one on one personal training is superb and I am so fortunate to have found my forever studio.

Destinee Hunter: The stretch space is a beautiful, clean and well run space and run by knowledgeable, kind and insightful souls. I participated in a Whim Hoff breath workshop with an ice bath this past weekend facilitated by one of the owners Kian and felt very supported and welcomed throughout the whole experience. I left feeling invigorated, conscious and grounded. There is a wall of windows letting natural light in and it felt like a space of pure love and light. The whole group felt safe and encouraged to share their stories with the warm and inviting space that Kian created. Would highly recommend doing a workshop, having a treatment or any of the other events that are run here. You won't regret it! Thank you for creating this legendary space to feel at ease within the body!

Chris B: I can not recommend the stretch space enough!!! I have found their services to be absolutely incredible. I have gone here for stretch therapy, to learn the Wim Hof method and for private breath work.I initially found the stretch space by searching online for stretch therapy and their name popped up. I booked a session online for an appointment with Cian, I wasn’t sure what to expect but thought I’d give it a try.I had some remnants of old sports/martial arts injuries that I was hoping to work out that I hadn’t been able to resolve with physio, I was looking for a more hands on physical manipulation style of therapy.When I walked in the door I noticed a very calm, safe and inviting energy, it feels odd to describe it that way but I’m not sure how else to put it.I saw results immediately during my first stretch therapy appointment. I’m a bigger guy and I find that sometimes with physio or massage that I need more pressure or effort from my therapist and assumed the same would be true for stretch therapy. I found that Cian started soft and worked his way up to a level that I was looking for. He was very intuitive and careful with me. He kept checking in to make sure I was ok but gave me the level of effort I need to make some great progress right away. I’ve been for 5 stretch therapy appointments and have seen consistent progress after each one. My range of motion and flexibility have increased while my soreness has decreased.Next I tried the Wim Hof method, I was familiar with Wim and his method through various pod casts I had listened to so I was curious. To listen to Cian talk about Wim and the time he has spent with him made my decision a lot easier.It was incredible. I have always been a chicken when it comes to cold and I didn’t think I would be able to over come my fear of the ice. Not only did I get in but they had to ask me to get out so others could try… then I went a second time. The real gem for me was the breath work at the Wim Hof course. It was unlike anything I have done before and I now understand why it’s so popular across the world. I was expecting the cold exposure to be the biggest takeaway for me but the breath work was transformational. I had a very personal experience as did almost everyone in the class. There was a strong feeling of community with in the group by the end, we really came together and shared a cool experience LITERALLY!!! HahaI found the breath work at the Wim Hof course to be so amazing that I decided to try a one on one breath work session with Cian. I had some old trauma from my past that I needed to find a way to resolve. I have done a lot of therapy to deal with the mental side of things but I also had some physical embodiments of my trauma that were not allowing me to move past a certain point. Cian was able to recognize this and suggested that breath work could help. It felt like a reset button that was able to clear away a lot of muck that had piled up. It was uncomfortable coming face to face with some of the things that came up but I knew I was safe and supported while I was processing everything that needed to be felt and and dealt with. A lot of healing happened in that room and I am grateful Cian was there for me and that he and Carolyn offer these services to people that need them.If you have made it through this giant wall of text I apologize, I tried to be as brief as possible but you should probably try them out for yourself and see what I’m talking about.

Kymm Girgulis: This is probably the best investment of my time and money ever spent. Carolyn, Cian and team offer a wonderful service and space that leaves you feeling reconnected, relaxed, open and strong. Stretch therapy is the only thing that has truly unlocked my body, my joints in ways that massage therapy, chiropractic or physio simply cannot. While most can appreciate the importance of stretching overall, stretch therapy absolutely stretches areas/joints that simply cannot be accessed without assistance. As a result, my body is more open to stretch, strength and healing. The team at stretch space has truly made a significant difference by increasing my mobility like nothing else. If you haven’t tried it I highly recommend going to The Stretch Space. Thank you so much to the team for all that you have done for me!

Most people would jump at the opportunity to regain their bodies natural movement patterns, but lack the know-how to do so safely and efficiently. Charlotte's warm and friendly demeanour coupled with an intuitive, deep, and experienced understanding of human motion made me feel in safe hands right away. The precise, delicate, and careful application of treatment, alongside thorough instruction, delivered in a fun yet professional manner has gifted me more freedom than I have ever felt in my adult life. This quality of service is perhaps the reason the Stretch Space is at the apex of contemporary physical wellness centres and it is no "stretch" for me to rate them 5 stars!
Clodagh Ryan: I had a fantastic day with Cian and Carolyn during the Wim Hof Fundamentals Workshop. They both had so much knowledge, were so supportive throughout the whole workshop and the atmosphere was fantastic. I would highly recommend checking out their offerings.

I mostly worked with Alejandra who has some of the most fluid hands I've ever felt as a bodyworker. She finds all of deepest bodily sensations and therapeutically helps me work them out. I am so grateful for my time spent with Alejandra, and I cant recommend her enough.

Leah Katz: I initially sought out VMBC while looking for a kickboxing class, but quickly became hooked on Natan’s Wednesday night kettlebell group.The instructors and students at VMBC are not only welcoming, but encouraging, and eager to push you to achieve more than you think you’re capable of.I have attended VMBC classes regularly for a number of months, (longer than anywhere else in my life,) bringing my partner, and pushing myself physically and mentally. That drive is a testament to the positive environment of everyone at VMBC.If you’re looking for a place that anyone from any background, at any level of fitness is welcome to attend (sprinkled with a little bit of good-natured sass), you’ve found the right place.

Marcin Samiec: I did three personal training sessions with Natan Cheifetz to brush up on my kettlebell technique. In only three sessions he took me from a cautious beginner to someone with confident technique and a strong awareness of what I need to work on. We ended the third session with 24kg kettlebell snatches.Natan is patient, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable and personable. If you're looking to brush up on kettlebells, I would highly recommend you book a few sessions with him. I had such a great time that I'm exploring group classes now. Thanks Natan!
Muneera Wallace: Love this place. I drive over all the way from north Burnaby just to learn with Natan, the kettlebells instructor. He has the combination of strength and flexibility I admire in a trainer. His curiosity to learn and desire to engage his edge is inspiring. I am always learning new things at class. Thanks to Mind Body I am so much stronger and smarter in my body than I was when I started. I recommend it to any fellow mum’s who lost strength and need to re-build post babies.

I had three sessions a week for the time I was in town.I highly recommend it as a professional, convenient, and well-rounded personal training experience. I principally interacted with two trainers, Brii and Jordan, but everyone at the gym is friendly.For the PT sessions, the trainers are very knowledgeable and attentive; adjusting exercises, giving feedback on posture, and changing circuits based on pre-existing injuries that I have.The facilities are top notch and the locker rooms leave nothing wanting. Due to my body type and gender, I was very nervous about fitting in in a place like this, but Tantra has broken all of the negative stereotypes I could have expected. 3I would recommend Tantra to anyone!!

My original review did not speak about the classes themselves or the instructors. The classes and instructors have always been amazing. I'm grateful for the teams compassion, their time and flexibility, I'm looking forward to returning when I can.
april b: I purchased a 14 day trial to try the intro classes for pole and aerial. So far, I have done a splitsability class with Tempest, an into to pole with Sophia, and an intro to aerial with Sarah. Tempest was super sweet and her class was amazing. I immediately booked for the following week to do the class again. Sophia and Sarah were also incredible and very knowledgeable. You can tell that everyone here is passionate about fitness and actually enjoying the way you workout. The ladies at the front were also very helpful when I emailed and in person when I had questions. I have since signed up for the yearly membership so that I can work on pole. While a little pricey, I think it will be worth it due to the knowledge and cleanliness that is offered. They also give a student discount which I was able to take advantage of. Thank you!!!
For a Whale: Easy access location, it's underground basement vibes. Small but nice, Dare's class was awesome, I learnt from very basic for lap dance, heels rotation, step by step and it's easy to follow. Hope she can teach more class and will come back to this location more.
Robin Buriak: I live in Alberta but I spend a lot of time in BC and Vancouver. When I am here I take classes and book practice time at the Gastown and Mt Pleasant studios. I love the classes. Every single instructor has been unique and attentive, and so fun. I just love it. Keep doing it!!

Amanda Lawrence: I had a pleasant experience at Tantra. After 3 years of pole I thought it might be time to find a Vancouver studio. Tantra seems like a great place for beginners to learn in a structured environment. They are heavily curriculum based and I find this takes away from the joy and curiosity of pole, especially if you have pole experience (this might not be true if you’re a beginner because it’s all new).I came from a smaller more flexible studio in Toronto with smaller class sizes. It felt like a family, I would come and see the same instructors who felt like close mentors. I didn’t get the same vibe from tantra, the beginner class I tried was ok but the choreo we learned wasn’t exciting. I didn’t get that family feel but more of an industrial “learn these moves and move up a level” kind of vibe. Not for me.The instructor was very kind and helpful, she tried to make her way to all the students but because of the large class size it was hard.

Sioban McCormick: I have been attending Tantra fitness classes on and off for a few years now and have definitely felt steady improvement and confidence. During the winter months the classes are a great indoor option to get moving and challenge various balance, stability and strength skills. The instructors are always professional and prepared. I have attended classes with both Stephanie and Katana and both take extra time to get to know each participant individually and provide critical constructive feedback. There is always improvement that can be made and the various levels allow for me to challenge myself or return to previous skills that still need work. Tantra has become a mainstay for me in and around my busy schedule and provides a fun and different escape that is unlike any other type of conventional fitness. 5 stars and expect me back for many years to come.

Sergey having incredible experience in athletics both personally and in coaching has helped me recover from injuries and perform at a higher level. The sessions are super productive and made a big difference not only in my athletic career but my personally life as well.
Stacey Fung: I have had the opportunity to work with Sergey and other Fitnastika trainers since the beginning of my professional tennis career. We have covered my pre season and in season preparations for the last 2 years, which allows me to compete at my best ability year round. I have seen consistent progression in my athletic development, as the level of the strength and conditioning training is unmatched. They are a committed and welcoming team to say the least!

I’m mainly training for fencing and overall fitness, which really worked out with their training plan since they understand the needs as athletes rather than body builder. I had bad flexibility and mobility but after first months there was obvious improvements. Will continue to train with them for sure.
Victoria Liu: I have been training contortion and handstands with Corine for the last 5 month and she is absolutely amazing! She is very knowledgeable and has progressions for all levels. She is very personable and I am constantly inspired to be better. I am always amazed at how much she knows and how she always has a different variations depending on how I am feeling that day. Training with Corine has been an absolute pleasure. I completely trust her to spot me in and through difficult skills/positions. In addition, I have learnt to trust myself and my ability to be able to do these skills. My flexibility has increased so much in the last few months and well as my brain to body connection for handstands. On top of that, I feel like my strength has grown overall because she has all these amazing drills to prep you to be strong all around, upside down or right side up. I highly recommend her to help you accomplish whatever goals you have.
Max Korkh: Undoubtedly the best personal training experience for individuals of all ages and physical capabilities. Fitnastika’s knowledgable and creative staff makes coming to fitness sessions a pleasure— facilitating a truly enjoyable training environment. Jack Davis: Sergey and Corinne are awesome. Both have so much experience and are great role models for athletes looking to make a big jump in their sport, or their own health/performance. They are great for sports specific training, as both were very high level athletes themselves. As a high performance tennis player myself, I can say that they 100% helped me take my game to the next level.

Playing such a physical sport such as tennis, strength and conditioning were very important in improving my fitness and maintaining a healthy body. Your gym is notorious for break ins as this was very problematic at the Pearland location as well. Get cameras!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss Kay: My boyfriend and I have doubles sessions twice a week with two different trainers here. The amount of professionalism, knowledge and care for developing our healthier bodies has really impressed me. This place made us feel welcome, all staff comes and chats with you before and after the session. Rockland Ltd: Isabel, my Athletic Therapist at Innovative Fitness North Van has been instrumental in my post accident recovery. I have come a long way in a short period of time and all credit goes to Isabel. Each session is different so I don’t get bored and lose interest as I have in the past with other trainers. The facility is clean, new and I love that there’s aren’t a plethora of people whilst I am in my session. Working one on one with Isabel has been the best decision I made! Kimberly Palmer: I cannot say enough about Rep 1 and what an amazing personal training space this is! It is professional, friendly, safe, and for me, a home away from home. I love the sense of community here where everyone knows one another. I feel safe knowing that all of the areas are cleaned after each use and Zeroblast antimicrobial treatment is also applied. The personal training is top notch. Thank you Mark Pottie! The FST (Matt & Guy) and massage therapist (Jes) are simply the best therapists around! I love that you can both train here and treat your ailments at the same location. This is a truly unique space.
Roland Schmidt: I've been going to Rep 1 for over 6 years and can highly recommend them for individual fitness training. During the early days of Covid they were closed but offered online sessions which I participated in. For the last few months they've been able to open up again and I'm glad to be back in the gym. Their Covid protocols are exceptional and I've never felt at risk now that I'm back in the gym. Hats off to Scott and Chad and the rest of the staff for their ongoing commitment to keeping the gym open and safe!

Norman Buchignani: Rep1 is a special place--especially so during this pandemic. Rep1 is exclusively based on personal trainers, either one on one or one on two. There are no drop-ins or classes. Every client-personal trainer unit gets a unique, completely segregated work area for the time they are together. Physical distance from others is high, and 100% of people wear masks. Strongly recommended.

Scott has been training me for years and his skilled training sessions have been keeping me fit and free from pain and injury. C M: Laurey at Rep1 is an excellent trainer! She always plans a high intensity workout that is at the perfect level for me, and the exercises change every session to give me new challenges. I have been coming to Rep1 for 3 months and already see big improvements in my strength and stability thanks to Laurey's coaching. I am now much more confident weight training on my own and I am setting new Strava personal records on my bike. I am really glad I decided to try out personal training with Laurey - it has been a big boost to my physical and mental health!I checked out a few gyms offering personal training before choosing Rep1. The atmosphere at Rep1 is very welcoming to all ages and fitness levels. To keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, each client gets their own station to train (it is a large facility, so it is easy to practice physical distancing, even with multiple clients working out at once), masks are mandatory at all times, and the trainers have a gap between client sessions to give them extra time to sanitize the equipment. I look forward to continuing my training at Rep1.
