Parveer Ghuman: Loved the vibe of the rooftop, especially when it got a little dark in the evening. We had the prawns, flatbread, lobster tacos and the steak. They replaced the steak because we ordered medium and it was well done. Server didn't even charge for it. I would come back again, not necessarily for the food but definitely for the ambiance

Kevin C: Gorgeous venue. Food is nice however I'd stay away from the black cod if you are hungry...The most lacking component to this place is the service. Unbearably slow, unrefined and inattentive. Had to constantly ask for our water to be refilled and we had been sitting for an hour before our food order was taken. We were a group of five, not a particularly large group. Alexandra Gomez: This place is okay, drinks are very pretty but expensive. This restaurant is clearly understaffed, I could see their personal running crazy, and even though service was very slow. My family had to wait to be seated because there was no host. We also had to wait about 20 minutes for our bill. We will only come back if they solve their issue and hire more people.

Farzaneh Rezaei: It's an amazing place for watching the sunset, but it's more than that. It has a couple of small sandy beaches which are good for sunbathing. It has showers, so you can go for a skinny dip, and overall it's a nice place to hang out with friends or just walk and pass time by yourself.

Rebecca Peters: An amazing place to visit with your friends/family! The environment is lively & perfect to relax or have an eventful evening! The sunsets are must-watch here. No need to worry about transport since buses are constantly available at a walking distance. Don’t forget your shades!

Janet Robertson: I go there to sit on the deck, which is right over the beach, because it has the best view of the north shore mountains, English Bay, sailing boats and sunsets! However, it has the usual beach fare, Burgers, Fish & Chips, clam chowder, natchos are served. There is 8 or so tap beers, and, some wines. Its worth seeing the amazing view. Bon appétit.

Elle M: Amazing view from the patio! I like that you order from the counter and then get paged on the buzzer when your order is ready for pick up at the window outside. Even though it's self serve, the patio staff are nice and helpful. Food is on the pricier side and is average but you're paying for the view. Paid parking in the lot.

Frost: Good food, friendly staff, gorgeous views, great location and concession service. Chicken burger was tasty, fries are always good and the pickles are a hit, the cod fish was doughy and had a pancake texture unfortunately.

Dave Croft: The food was good, but what really stood out was the excellent service from Carson behind the bar, where I was sitting, who seemed to be holding the place together during the lunch rush.

As we walked in, we found that we could sit at the bar and still have a great view of the Harbour.We soon found that Chef Chris runs a top notch establishment, one of my top 5 in North America! We like eating at the bar and meeting Chef Chris working there was a special treat. He was helping out with shucking Raw Oysters. Now I grew up eating my share of oysters and I’m real proud of our brand back home in NC. I asked the difference between their east/west coast types that he offered. Chef took the time and explained what was special about each one. We also tried one of his famous Oyster Shooter, that was the best ever!We like sitting at the bar as I haven’t met a bartender yet that didn’t make me laugh. Again, I was not disappointed! Jeoff waited on us AND he explained that he is also the bar manager. I was asking about his recommendations on Vodka and he explained that all his well drinks were only top shelf. For my Vodka Martini, he used Wyborowa. It’s Polish’s best vodka since 1927 and I’m now I’m spoiled. Warning, you won’t find it in many bars. But I ask for it now by name.We started with Dungeness Crab apps and then on to a great seafood player course with real sourdough bread.We stayed almost for two hours and only left when I couldn’t go anymore. We can’t wait for a return engagement.

Devon Guzzi: Slow service so slow we left before our drinks showed up after waiting 45 minutes.
Vyan Vu: Came for happy hour and got a red wine. Interior wasnt very wow; was expecting a classier ambiance but nonetheless I got what I asked for. Wine is wine! :)

Fred Raputznik: A West-End destination for a reason: this funky turret-shaped bar, with a stunning view of Vancouver’s English Bay, should be considered mandatory for visitors and locals alike. The drinks are very good (Caesars are amongst the best in Van), and the food is great. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but not a big deal. Definitely check this place out; perfect for a date!

Hesam Rezaei: A few friends and I decided to head to this lounge during their happy hour for a couple of beers. The establishment had a decent selection of beer, however, the service left something to be desired. Perhaps it was due to the crowded nature of the lounge during that time, but the waiter and waitress were not readily available. In fact, I had to request water twice before it was finally brought to the table. Additionally, my second beer took longer than expected to be served.Despite the lackluster service, the atmosphere of the lounge was enjoyable. The view of English Bay through the window was particularly impressive and added to the overall ambiance.

Matt Cox: My girlfriend and I stopped in for after dinner drinks on our last night in Vancouver. The round room works great for relaxed people watching while staying close to the one you love.The music was loudish but whoever was picking the playlist had done a great job and the drinks were very well mixed. We both enjoyed ours immensely.The woman beside us ordered a shot and ended up finding something at the bottom of the glass. The server took special care to go and figure out what it was with the bartender and then brought back another round of shots for them which seemed to be on the house.Next time we're in Vancouver we'll be going back and trying food. I highly recommend the smoke show cocktail. It was perfectly blended so the smoke wasn't too overpowering but a beautiful after note to a delicious drink.

Just wanted to drop a line to say how commendable both the Manager Des and Justin were.After helping a young woman who looked like she was ready to retire from the bar and making sure she had the means to get home safely they offered to bring her belongings to her and had their doorman get her belongings.Unfortunately he grabbed a coat from a near by table thinking this was hers.Turned out the other table didn’t realize it was a genuine mistake by the doorman.I overheard both Des and Justin apologizing and saying it was their mistake and were willing to make amends as they had given the wrong coat. They did resolve to make sure the right items were with the right owners before they left.Once again I love the professionalism and courteous nature all of the staff treat me and other patrons with. Des Justin Jack Hugo Jamie Carolina Nicole and all of the rest of the crew are amazing.Bayside is such a great place to call home away from home .Sincere thanks guys.You rock as always.Tom

Jesse Culbert: Went in early May was great weather, water was still cold but went for a swim and had fun. Everything was nice and clean. Highly recommend for a day on the beach with the family. Absolutely loved the views at this beach mountains and the city plus all the sail boats.

The park is super cute and the beach is beautiful with a great view of incoming ships, the mountains and downtown Vancouver. Definitely one of my favourite places in Vancouver.

R A: My friends and I went to The roof at black and blue to celebrate Easter. The ambience and even the servers were good. Our group ordered oysters, flat bread and a beef dish. I was the only one that order blackened ahi tuna and everything was going well until i started vomiting through the entire night. No one else had problem as they didn’t have it. I was the only one among my friends ordered this dish.The edges of the tuna was cooked but the insides were raw like i could taste the rawness of the fish. I have had the blackened tuna before from other restaurants and this was the first time. I had a upset stomach and was puking for 3 days.The manger called and said they talked to the chef and couldn’t find any problem it seems. This experience scarred me and i dont think i will ever go back.Attached is the picture of the dish, you can clearly see how raw the center of the fish is.
Y K: Went to The Roof at Black & Blue for work lunch for the first time and loved its rooftop decor. I think the salad that I had was a Cobb Salad, but looks like they took it off the menu now because I don't see it anymore! My colleagues said the flatbread was really good, so I might try that next time.

After that the waiter said everything is good and free to come in, but the restaurant manager disagreed and said the restaurant has strict food requirements. We still cooperated and do what they ask us to do.2⃣️We also found hair on the prawn during the meal.3⃣️Before we prepare to place an order, I asked waiter if we could change the sit to the window sit, the waiter said yes. But the manager rejected. He said it was already reserved (I didn’t get that. I think first come first serve). I think the manager soooooo mean. taylor brown: I had family visiting from out of town and went for dinner here for a special occasion and the staff here really went above and beyond, our server was amazing and the food was great, our favourite was the steaks, (we tried a few cuts and they were all tender and cooked perfectly), and the Mac and cheese, all the sides are for sharing so we got to try quite a few, and for dessert we had the butter cake, it was a great end to our meal. It was a cold and rainy night but next to the fire was nice a warm and the ambiance was unbeatable. I want to note also our server was a true professional, she really made the night for us, we will definitely be back soon!

Cristal Ortiz: Had such an amazing time here on a trip to Vancouver from Seattle! We stopped by for happy hour in the afternoon on a Saturday and we’re seated right away. Every staff we encountered was welcoming and accommodating, but our server Sasha stole the show! Sasha was extremely attentive, kind and made our experience even more incredible. The vibe is impeccable, and the food is top notch (please try the Mac & Cheese sticks). If we lived in Vancouver, there is no doubt we would be regulars here, learning Sasha’s schedule to be served by him every time!!

The main steak I ordered as medium rare, inside was perfect, but bit overcooked outside for me….it was hard. The sauce was good as well the side. I wish I had a more variety of salad thou. The dessert crème brûlée was bit sweet to me. Overall, it was good, but not the best this year.

I forget what this steak dish was called but it was essentially a slice of roast beef with garlic aioli. For my second dish I got the wings, pretty explosive flavor as I was getting absolutely basked by the beautiful vancoov sun. Very little intangibles in the food 4.7/10.

Lesley Wright: I used to love Cactus Club. Now, I can’t enjoy the food or conversation because of the loud music and the loud shouting to talk over the thumping music. It’s absurd to have such a beautiful peaceful setting ruined by music that belongs in a nightclub downtown. I implore the management to leave the upstairs dining area to guests who wish to talk and enjoy a dining room rather that a thumping disco!

Had a reservation, got there, there was a sign for people with reservation, we stood there, this guy comes up and says stay here someone will be with you... Then 7 minutes later this woman with tablet comes up and says if you have a reservation you should come right in.... They don't know what they're doing....We sit down finally and sit there for 10 minutes, no server shows up!!!Been here a couple of times, exact same experience every time. Really really poorly managed restaurant with untrained staff.Really disappointed. Won't ever go back to this restaurant.

Benjamin Bahmann: The Third Beach is located at the Stanley Park Seawall Path right at the opposite side of the entrance. From there you have a very nice view on the sunset and the open sea. It is easily reachable when you are going along the seawall path by foot or by bicycle. Normally there are a lot of people there - be there early enough.
Gemma Broadley: One of the best beaches to hangout in the area. Not a very family forward beach though, something to keep in mind. There are bathrooms up the stairs. The ocean can be quite rocky at times but it’s hard to get away from that in Vancouver.BE CAREFULLL if you drive, traffic can be horrible in stanley park so would recommend walking as much as you can if possible!
