Dave Croft: The food was good, but what really stood out was the excellent service from Carson behind the bar, where I was sitting, who seemed to be holding the place together during the lunch rush.
Alois Callemyn: We were visiting Vancouver and was looking for a fun place to dine while overlooking the marina. As we walked in, we found that we could sit at the bar and still have a great view of the Harbour.We soon found that Chef Chris runs a top notch establishment, one of my top 5 in North America! We like eating at the bar and meeting Chef Chris working there was a special treat. He was helping out with shucking Raw Oysters. Now I grew up eating my share of oysters and I’m real proud of our brand back home in NC. I asked the difference between their east/west coast types that he offered. Chef took the time and explained what was special about each one. We also tried one of his famous Oyster Shooter, that was the best ever!We like sitting at the bar as I haven’t met a bartender yet that didn’t make me laugh. Again, I was not disappointed! Jeoff waited on us AND he explained that he is also the bar manager. I was asking about his recommendations on Vodka and he explained that all his well drinks were only top shelf. For my Vodka Martini, he used Wyborowa. It’s Polish’s best vodka since 1927 and I’m now I’m spoiled. Warning, you won’t find it in many bars. But I ask for it now by name.We started with Dungeness Crab apps and then on to a great seafood player course with real sourdough bread.We stayed almost for two hours and only left when I couldn’t go anymore. We can’t wait for a return engagement.

Taylor Brooks: Stephanie the server is an angel. I cannot express that enough. I have had so many servers and not one in my life has been more attentive and caring. The food was also phenomenal but that is besides the point, I’m genuinely thinking of giving her a Starbucks gift card or a bottle of wine at this point because I have never experienced such service in my life. Amy Brittleton: My fiancé proposed to me here and was messed about a lot in the lead up to it even though he had booked the secret room 4 months in advance. We expressed our issues after the engagement and heard nothing back from the general manager. Very disappointing service.
Rony Nehme: minimum charge obligation is ridiculous.. we already ordered a bottle of vodka 2 bottles of wine 1 bottle of champagne and a lot of food.. I think it’s enough even if we were a large group of people. You don’t send a waiter at the end of a fun night to tell customers they need to order more food and bottles and take them home with them.. I mean our tab was already $1000+ leave us alone! We will definitely not set foot in this place again! Service is great the staff are very friendly but I think this minimum charge policy is too harsh and greedy! no wonder the place was half empty on a Saturday night.
John Sweeney: Do not book events with D6. Extremely disappointing experience.Booked the secret room 4 months in advance for a proposal. Was contacted 1 week out from the proposal date that my reservation was given to someone else so had to change time to earlier. Agreed to this then 2 days before was told I need to have a shorter time in the room and be out earlier. Completely unacceptable for a reservation made 4 months in advance.The GM called me to go through my plan. When I hung up he accidentally pocket dialled and I heard them talking about I should be charged more, its a lot of work etc. Very unprofessional.Lastly on the day of proposal I had the room set up to surprise my girlfriend. I went through my plan with 3 separate employers about the surprise. The employee brought us in and Said "You guys want to see the secret room"This ruined the surprise for my proposal. The best part of a secret room is the "Secret" aspect of this.Just overall it was a nightmare. During a stressful event they made it worse with changes, poor communication and overall lack of professionalism.Have no trust in theis bar, would not recommend.

Jocelyn Liu: The place is nice, but wasn’t impressed with being charged a full cocktail price when I had ordered one with no alcohol. The server said I have to be charged full price because they don’t have an option in the system to charge me as a mock tail. I don’t understand why I had been offered the option to order a mock tail but then not be charged accordingly. This has never happened to me anywhere else. Very disappointing.
Dylan Siciliano: Skip this place! I work in the industry and this was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. No exaggeration, I didn't get my cocktail for 35 minutes. No one came to the table that whole time after the initial greet. The server then pretended like nothing happened and then put 18% gratuity on the bill. So many great cocktail bars in the city. Don't make the same mistake we did. Never again.PS. On a happy note, the DJ was good.
Mandy Hmd: Awful staff at the cloakroom. It was suck a mess. It taked more than 10 minutes for them to find our coats. Also they were so rude!
Nadim Moloo: Terrible experience and customer service. Cancelled our large reservation for this Saturday despite it being booked weeks ago. Now we're scrambling to find an alternate birthday party venue. Never trust D6, have a back up reso (they have no idea what they're doing).

Aaron Adams: Was here for a Trotman Auto Group event. Jay and Mar were fantastic. We were in a group of 30+ and they took the effort to remember each of our names. So friendly and courteous. Great experience. We will be back for sure.

Adam J Bell: Rented the space out for a private event and it was the perfect venue. Great staff, friendly, helpful. They also decorated the space for Christmas, nice aesthetic and high end details (like the hidden bar behind the bookshelf).I recommend for events 🤙
Jason Dhaliwal: I contacted D6 to schedule a private party for a birthday. They told me the private room was available for my date. When I was inquiring about the policies via email, they were not prompt with their responses and a few days later they said that that date is now all booked. Frustrating that they booked the room while I was inquiring about it, and the only reason I could not get it booked sooner was their slow response time. Then when I emailed them in response to them telling me the room is booked, my email did not send and I got a message saying: "The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending your message later, or contact the recipient directly." In conclusion, absolutely incompetent work by D6. Vanessa Renaud and Sevan Keurdian were the individuals I talked to.
Merlin Drzymala-Bokitch: We had our company holiday party at D/6 and it was so amazing! The atmosphere is super cool and there is lots of space. Extra shoutout to Sevan and Theo for being incredible organizers. Also Jay and Mar made our night being so fun and even surprised us with "burger bottle service" Such a great team overall!
Prabh M: I went to D/6 a few weeks ago where they lost my coat with their complimentary coat check. They tried to give me someone else's completely different coat which they had left over at the end of the night to make up for it.I e-mailed them off the business card the manager handed to me and I never got a response back at all. Disappointed.

Derrick B: It is so unfortunate. This place has been run into the ground with poor management and shady bouncers who require cash at the door to get in and make female patrons feel uncomfortable. It's surprising that Parq Hotel and Casino is allowing this conduct in their building. We saw several guests being spoken to rudely as well as racist conduct by the 2 men who work at the door. Service is also terrible once you get in with long waits to order. Manager David has a terrible attitude and acts like he owns the bar. He needs training in customer service. D6 also allows shady promotional companies to take over the venue and sell tickets for entry. This contributes to the terrible experience.
Nicole C: Absolutely horrible !!!!!!!!! We went there for my birthday and they had an event which we had to purchase tickets for. It’s fine spent 500 for 11 people and reserved a table for $1000. We got there and it was so unorganized. They kept taking us to tables that were already taken by random people who didn’t reserve it and kept leaving us to deal with it ourselves until we got a drink thrown at us by a drunk girl. We decided to leave , been trying to call for a refund but no one has gotten back to me. It was the most horrible experience and it ruined my birthday!

Enno S: It has an incredible view over the city and it's quite fun to point out things you see/ places you've been while you rotate. You see waterplanes and helicopters landing and a bit of the harbour. The restaurant is pretty expensive, but if you go during happy hour and order a beer or two (CAD 8-9) you can stay for a while and make a full rotation (60min). The staff was very nice aswell.
BreeAnna Lasher: Such a cool experience. The service was amazing. They do have a one entre per person rule so no sharing or ordering only appetizers! The view was amazing and we revolved about 2 times in 2 hours so it’s not too fast to make you sick

Alois Callemyn: This is a must see when visiting Vancouver. There is a elevator that normally you have to pay to go up, but just tell them that you’re going to the restaurant and it’s free. We went at happy hour (3-4) and got a window side table. The view is unreal! We got cocktails (great) and apps (ok) and our bill was $68, plus tip.We enjoyed our drinks and got to see a complete revolution (1 hour), a 360° view of the Harbour and Downtown.I will go back as soon as possible. Oh, be sure to ask for Vicky, as she is a blast.

We showed up with a slight change in plans and Angelica the host at the front was incredibly accommodating and helped us to find a great solution to our change in plans. Clark: Had a nice evening on the rooftop patio. Feed was great as always and service was top class. Only issue is that we were overcharged on a glass of wine. I ordered a 6oz glass, server brought over a Keg size but realized the mistake and took it back to have some poured out. She returned with the correct size, but failed to adjust the bill. I only realized a couple of nights later when I looked over the receipt. I’ve never felt the need to scrutinize the bill at this location before, but I will do so moving forward.

Nik Southwell: Again, another amazing experience. Worldly travelled and after consuming meats from all around the globe, I actually had one of the best steaks to date last night right here in Vancouver. Every bit of our night was perfect.

Jagdip Singh: We got there and tried the A5 Wagyu. This is the most expensive steak on the menu around $36 per ounce and I got 10 ounces due to them not having the 6 ounce.When arrived to the table this was not cooked correctly and was rested for too long causing the steak to become cold and rigid in the flavour. I complained and they mentioned they can do another one however I said its okay as I expected better from the restaurant. Its a shame due to the reputation of this place however it goes to show quality is not always monitored. Especially when spending $760 for 2 steaks.As for the service the waiter was not aware how to leave the customers to eat. I realised he was trying to be nice however there was not social awareness on how to handle an audience. We would be in a middle of a conversation and 4x the server came over to tell us about something or how the steak will be cooked and why even though we did not care. A better approach would have been to ask if we would like to know and not force knowledge onto customers that don't really care or perhaps already have knowledge on steaks.The sides were nice however overpriced again.Average restaurant more expensive due to the area I believe and was disappointing altogether unfortunately.

Haydn Keung: Their service was good and the decor was very nice. However, their steak was way overcooked for medium rare. The experience was nice but definitely not worth the price. Overall I would not recommend. For the same price, you can get much better food and experience elsewhere.

Devon Guzzi: Slow service so slow we left before our drinks showed up after waiting 45 minutes.
Vyan Vu: Came for happy hour and got a red wine. Interior wasnt very wow; was expecting a classier ambiance but nonetheless I got what I asked for. Wine is wine! :)

Fred Raputznik: A West-End destination for a reason: this funky turret-shaped bar, with a stunning view of Vancouver’s English Bay, should be considered mandatory for visitors and locals alike. The drinks are very good (Caesars are amongst the best in Van), and the food is great. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but not a big deal. Definitely check this place out; perfect for a date!

Hesam Rezaei: A few friends and I decided to head to this lounge during their happy hour for a couple of beers. The establishment had a decent selection of beer, however, the service left something to be desired. Perhaps it was due to the crowded nature of the lounge during that time, but the waiter and waitress were not readily available. In fact, I had to request water twice before it was finally brought to the table. Additionally, my second beer took longer than expected to be served.Despite the lackluster service, the atmosphere of the lounge was enjoyable. The view of English Bay through the window was particularly impressive and added to the overall ambiance.

Matt Cox: My girlfriend and I stopped in for after dinner drinks on our last night in Vancouver. The round room works great for relaxed people watching while staying close to the one you love.The music was loudish but whoever was picking the playlist had done a great job and the drinks were very well mixed. We both enjoyed ours immensely.The woman beside us ordered a shot and ended up finding something at the bottom of the glass. The server took special care to go and figure out what it was with the bartender and then brought back another round of shots for them which seemed to be on the house.Next time we're in Vancouver we'll be going back and trying food. I highly recommend the smoke show cocktail. It was perfectly blended so the smoke wasn't too overpowering but a beautiful after note to a delicious drink.

Just wanted to drop a line to say how commendable both the Manager Des and Justin were.After helping a young woman who looked like she was ready to retire from the bar and making sure she had the means to get home safely they offered to bring her belongings to her and had their doorman get her belongings.Unfortunately he grabbed a coat from a near by table thinking this was hers.Turned out the other table didn’t realize it was a genuine mistake by the doorman.I overheard both Des and Justin apologizing and saying it was their mistake and were willing to make amends as they had given the wrong coat. They did resolve to make sure the right items were with the right owners before they left.Once again I love the professionalism and courteous nature all of the staff treat me and other patrons with. Des Justin Jack Hugo Jamie Carolina Nicole and all of the rest of the crew are amazing.Bayside is such a great place to call home away from home .Sincere thanks guys.You rock as always.Tom

Jason Haug: Great pub with a view of the ocean from a rounded back wall with seating right at the windows. One thing to note though, it's pretty cramped in there but just be courteous of others and everyone else is as well. Drinks were priced well and tasted great. Men's bathroom a bit dingy. Edit: but they said they are renovating it soon so that's good.
Bert Chestnut: Service was great, very busy night. Food arrived not hot, staffed attempted to reheat but ended up removing from the bill. Would go back and try again.

Sharon Richards: Dockside has improved again. Last time we were there was a couple of years ago and not great. Last night we had a lovely meal of starters. Pork belly was outstanding. Potatoes also delicious. Great cocktails. Great service. Even young Rex was very attentive by keeping our water glasses full and clearing our table. A wonderful night!

Jordan Reid: We came on a day that wasn’t very busy. Our server took a very long time taking our order. She didn’t come to even take our drink order before going to take a table of 16’s food and drink order. Our two person order would have been very quick. After this she went and billed out another table before finally coming to take our order. This caused us to wait almost an hour before getting our food- which was all we ordered.Overall, the food was good, nothing to write home about. Wouldn’t recommend. Mediocre food and not great service. But a lovely view.
Nicole Harpold: Weird and disappointing. We stayed at the hotel and we’re so excited when we checked in to see a waterfront restaurant right at the hotel. After wandering all afternoon around Granville Island and shopping, we were looking forward to dinner on-site. At check-in we even received a promo coupon for a “chef’s choice” happy hour appetizer, happy from 3pm - 5pm. We walked into the restaurant at 4:40 and were seated no problem, they even had a high chair for our toddler, no problem. We put our order in for our promo appetizer, plus two other happy hour appetizers to share as well as 2 cocktails at 4:45. Waitress brought our drinks and our first appetizer (marinated olives) no problem. About 5 minutes later (4:52 by my watch). Waitress came out and apologized, and said our order had been cancelled by the kitchen because happy hour was over. Excuse me? You still have happy hour menus in the table, the signs and the cards you hand out to guests all day until 5pm, but at 4:45 the kitchen starts cancelling orders? Okay. Check please, we’ll take our business elsewhere. One star for the nice view and the very apologetic waitress who was highly embarrassed by all of it.
Thea: Food was good. Wasnt happy with our server victoryia though. She was nice but her service wasnt the best. We didnt get side plates when our appetizers arrived and we were starving so we ate it right then and there with no plates to share. She didnt even ask how our food was until she gave us the bill to pay. We asked for refils but they came 10 minutes later. She took our napkins away when she took our appetizer plates away and didnt give us new ones. My mom ordered clams (which were delicious) and she sat there for 20 minutes with no eyes on our server to get a napkin. It turned out to be so cold so we asked for a blanket and she took 10 minutes to get that. We asked to sit at a table that wasnt wobbly. I even said if its a big issue we can stay its no problem but she totally avoided the question and never came back woth an answer whether we could or couldnt move. For a dinner that was 300+ $ especially on mothers day it was such a disappointment to have a server that seemed to not care. We asked about 2 other servers to get us our bill because we couldnt find victoria and they all said theylle be right there but then go to their pos system and then walk right away far away from us. I understand we might have been annoying and asked for too many things but its expensive eating out and we want everything to go perfect. We most likely will never go back to this restaurant just because of the service we received.

Ghalib Dhalla: Its been a couple of years since I was last here and I had forgotten what a wonderful waterview this place has! Halibut, salmon and humus appetizer were all delicious. Very reasonable prices for the amazing location. Highlight was Lara's amazing service! She was efficient and attentive with a warm genuine smile. Joel McCooey (The Tough Critique): We decided to dine here since we we’re staying at the Granville Island hotel. First impressions were good and the service staff were attentive. The first plate we had was the Wagyu Beef Carpacio. This was delicious and well plated. Accompanying this plate was the smoked olives these were very good although only some of the olives on the plate were smoked. Ok, good start. The mains were overall lacklustre in all ways. Lacking in presentation, flavour and overall composition. I can guess that this could only be attributed to the fact that cooks in a kitchen are only as good as their training. Perhaps if there were just a little more over the shoulder looking by the head chef these plates would come out cleaner. I will say that whoever wrote the menu did a fantastic job. i did want to order everything on it.

Eat Eat (Icaneatanelephant): It was our first time here, we liked the environment here, nice and quiet, great service, great food, and very reasonable price. I didn’t add as a special occasion when we book online, however through the conversation they found out is my bday, I didn’t expect a card and a tasty hazelnut chocolate cake.The wine ! One of the spots, the white wine was very fruity with clean after taste, fruity as actual fruity not the sweetness, it is very pleasant pairing with my cream sauce halibut. The halibut was just cook right ! Not too cook or raw, it’s just prefect .The red wine as I rmb is from California, its buttery and a little spice, very good with the sirloin steak, the sauce is also a hit, a very good recommendation of the wine pairing from the server Todd.Sorry to mention your name here but I truly appreciated your service with heart and in details.You did shown your passion of what you are doing. Lisa: Celebrated my bday here early April and had a pleasant experience with my sons. Food was tasty and fresh. Oysters were delicious but a pricey at $5 a piece and they were tiny. Not sure what kind of oysters. Truffles on the pasta was quite expensive, I didn’t realize. Service was friendly and prompt. Nice if you can get a window seat. But walk outside of the restaurant by the water is refreshing.
Alex Rose: I came here this evening for my birthday dinner with some friends. We were really excited after hearing great reviews. We ordered some sharing plates and most of them did not seem fresh or had a very unpleasant taste. We were given a discount and had some plates taken off the bill but the bill was still high even though we did not touch barely any of the food. I hope others don't have the same experience.
