Fifth Avenue Cinemas: what do users think?
Mark Cannon
Mark Cannon: It is very clean and has a modern up to date look for the lounge and lobby. Adult only so typically quieter and you get glasses for your alcoholic beverages. Not crowded due to pandemic rules. Not the biggest, loudest sound system or picture, but you can still enjoy the movie.Picture quality has improved. Enjoyed having a beer while watching the movie. Staff very well trained.
Janet D
Janet D: Love that you can reserve seats and adult only theatre!
E T
E T: Fresh buttery popcorn.
Jacob
Jacob: Small seats but not worse than average.
Samy Shoukralla
Samy Shoukralla: Worst cineplex experience I've had. Bad staff too. And parking isn't free
Somto
Somto: Do not go here.
Michael McCahon
Michael McCahon: Maybe a little pricey, but ultimately a pretty good theatre.
Fred Raputznik
Fred Raputznik: A great theatre experience. I’m not sure why Cineplex doesn’t roll out alcohol to all their theatres, but this is the only VIP location near downtown. Plus they have more arty selections.
Eirikur Christiansen
Eirikur Christiansen: Do not give a slight $#|¶ about their cousomers.
Karime Rage
Karime Rage: Great movies, delicious popcorn.
Mind Full
Mind Full: Great local theater that often shows indie films which can't be seen at the big cineplexs. Can also purchase alchohol for the show!
Nigel Kellett
Nigel Kellett: Adult theatre(they serve liquor) very comfortable seats. Great selection of shows
Jackie Sanford
Jackie Sanford: Very nice place. Chairs we great
Jorge Augusto
Jorge Augusto: I love this place. Everyone here is always very nice. The seats are very comfortable, but the best part is the movie selection. They always bring more cult movies. A nice change from all the same blockbusters available everywhere else.
Angela Kim
Angela Kim: This theater has its own charm. You can see that the audience is truly art movie fans.As it is adults only setting, you can enjoy some alcohol beverage while appreciating the beauty of those movies.
Anisha Jethnani
Anisha Jethnani: This is my least favourite cineplex, the small theatres have uncomfortable seats. The floor is slanted making it very awkward and the screen is too high (or rather the seats are too low).
Christopher Coe
Christopher Coe: Excellent theatre.
Kevin K
Kevin K: Nice down clean Small concession so be prepared to wait
pernilla ahrnstedt
pernilla ahrnstedt: Why is a movie theater playing sports on their lobby screens?????? Play movies, trailers etc. If I wanted to watch sports, I would have gone to a sports bar!!!
Kerry Jothen
Kerry Jothen: Close to home. Good staff and good movie snacks
Alana Oyama
Alana Oyama: Great small theater, no kids, adults only as they have a bar and serve alcohol so you can have a glass of wine before or after:) only complaint would be the theater chairs arent the most comfortable, ive been in nicer seating in the VIP theaters.

VIFF Centre – Vancity Theatre & Studio Theatre: what do users think?
Reed Kierce
Reed Kierce: Don’t bother checking what they’re playing, I always trust the VIFF centre’s selections
Blake Roberts
Blake Roberts: The lobby has been spiffed up. Very nice space. Most comfortable theatre seats in town.
Broadus Mattison
Broadus Mattison: Happy National Canadian Film Day!
Tina Mathur
Tina Mathur: Really great space, fantastic people and get to see some of the best movies.
David Penny
David Penny: Great venue, amazing friendly people!
Kathy L
Kathy L: Love!!
Julie Bond
Julie Bond: Wonderful movie theatre. Fabulous curated films from around the world!
Andrew Bellhan
Andrew Bellhan: A great movie theatre, always plays special event movies and indie films that you can't find anywhere else. I pay for a VIFF membership, so tickets are a little cheaper and I get some free popcorn tickets. The popcorn is great by the way. They have 2 theatres here. I like the bigger Vancity theatre, but in my opinion the Studio theatre is not worth it to see a film and I would avoid, its almost like watching a movie on a big TV. Other than that, the regular theatre here has nice comfy big seats, good movie selection, good snacks, and usually isn't too busy. I recommend seeing a film here if you can.
Gregg Taylor
Gregg Taylor: Attended their Oscar Party event - was very fun, had games and prizes, hosts and the big screen for watching the awards show. Nice theatre for special events and film screenings.
Arivarul Arivazhagan (Ajit)
Arivarul Arivazhagan (Ajit): One of the best places to watch nice award winning films and scheduling movie festivalsI became a premium member at an affordable price of ~90 CAD per year and enjoyed the Studio of Ghibili films
Keira Xu
Keira Xu: Always come here for the old movies 🎥 . Seats usually get filled up quickly, so arrive a bit earlier if you can to take good spot. :)
Sandi Thiessen
Sandi Thiessen: Watched the most incredible riveting film SHE SAID. A must see. Amazing.
James Hance
James Hance: Watched " Love in the time of fentanyl" an incredible documentary on the opioid crisis on the dates. PS: my partner is in it!😀
Kelly Morris
Kelly Morris: I really like this theatre, it's such a valuable cultural venue for the filmmaking community in Vancouver. Gotta say, after the recent renno, it's nice the new smaller theatre is there but it's too bad about losing the event/party space. And PLEASE offer better popcorn, the last time I got some there the staff seemed confused, it was cold, and she filled the bag 3/4 full. In fact, I'd go to cineplex just to get better popcorn on at a first fun film, and that's not saying much.
George Nixon
George Nixon: For my money there’s no better chair in town.
Nadine O'Donnell
Nadine O'Donnell: Spacious building. Good movies to choose from. Nearby parking. Compfy seats and no sticky floors. They also serve beer and coolers as well as coffee. Viff employees very friendly.
Sadaf Passikhani
Sadaf Passikhani: There is a mini cafe.Theatres are rather small but good 👍
Gerald Joe
Gerald Joe: Unique film screenings, comfie seats
Danaca Lapp
Danaca Lapp: Beautiful theatre, and they play some absolute fantastic movies. A must visit for movie folks
Bruno Giusti
Bruno Giusti: Great venue in Vancouver. We watched best of VIFF 2022 movies and enjoyed the location. Paid street parking right in front of it.
Reza Yasemi
Reza Yasemi: Has two theaters and some space to sit and wait for movies. You can either reserve online or buy a ticket at the box office.

The Park Theatre: what do users think?
dk delrey
dk delrey: No other food selection except an old popcorn, candies & pop.30 year old theater seats. Smelly & gross.
Sea Sea
Sea Sea: The staff are helpful, and the washroom is super clean.
Kerie Currie
Kerie Currie: Was small but a nice place
Sam Dragun
Sam Dragun: Very unique place. Great customer service.
Don James
Don James: Old school vibes. I love it
Margaret Chau
Margaret Chau: Conveniently located. Single BIG screen cinema! Comfy seats. Love it.
Julian Worker
Julian Worker: I like this cinema because it shows a variety of films from the latest Hollywood films to classic older films such as 2001, Casablanca, and Yellow Submarine.
Leonardo Glez. Santana
Leonardo Glez. Santana: Great place to travel in time.
paul anderson
paul anderson: I'm glad there are still a few old theatres showing movies. We should enjoy them and support them while they're still around.
Andrés Volpe
Andrés Volpe: Staff is friendly and attentive. However, the washrooms are in need of renovations and the seats could use new upholstery.
Maxman Williams
Maxman Williams: I love nostalgic theaters like this, too many are being taken away. It's a perfect set up, the way it should be once in a while. Please add more movie options here in the future. We can't forget where we've come from, the other theaters will allow us to know where we're going. The staff was great here, everyone. Keep up the great work!
Sean Werger
Sean Werger: My favourite theatre in Vancouver
Erica Lahaie
Erica Lahaie: Highly recommend if you like the sound of an HVAC kicking in during your movie. Contrast on the screen is also pretty bad. Either the projector's not bright enough or the screen itself is just too busted but either way, it's rough. I want to like having a small neighborhood theatre but considering tickets here cost the same as elsewhere and the actual experience of watching a movie is wholesale worse... idk.Would love to see the place be updated. Every neighborhood should have its local screen.
Mahoo Naderi B.
Mahoo Naderi B.: I don't like the chairs! Not comfortable for 2 hours sitting.
Aoife Dowling
Aoife Dowling: Pretty old school tho has a lot of charm. Seats are comfy but the screen could be updated and the aircon competes with the sound system. Staff are the best tho and it’s great to still have some neoghbourhood single screens around.
M B
M B: An old theatre with restricted view if someone sits in front of you. Only came here because it was the only location for a foreign movie. Seats are old and uncomfortable.
陳CC
陳CC: 舒適的電影院!
Todd Zuccolo
Todd Zuccolo: This is a cool old theatre. Great place to get out and watch a film
Daniel Farrell
Daniel Farrell: I love how old schoolThe theatre is especially for watching a period piece. Friendly staff, basically had the place to ourselves. Loved it.
Julia Hornyak
Julia Hornyak: I have been going to that theatre since I was a kid. Comfortable and cozy theatre. Usually plays up to date movies too!
Natalie Topolski
Natalie Topolski: I love going to the park cinema to watch movies. It's an old fashion theatre with only one screen! It's worth going for a movie you're really looking forward to seeing.

Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver: what do users think?
Kaz Okuda
Kaz Okuda: I don't know how they do it, but these have to be the least comfortable seats of any theatre I've been to in the last 20 years.
Danny Breeze
Danny Breeze: As good as a cinema can be in a post covid era. Self serve ticket, watch the movie. Straight forward. Missing a lot of razz matazz and excitement of a cinema in the good ol' days.
Out The Window Productions
Out The Window Productions: Actually one of the better theatres . ScreenX is decent and it’s available here . However it’s not better then having a normal screen with recliner seats which this theatre doesn’t have but park Royal cineplex does in west Vancouver .
Elliot Cohen
Elliot Cohen: Dropped in to see an afternoon matinee of a new movie, we were prompted to buy our tickets at a machine, which also provided selected options for seat selections. We chose our seats and proceeded to check in. We found theater#2 and walked in, to find less than a dozen people seated. The screen was large, and I noticed the sound was a tad harsh on the upper range, typical of P/A horn speakers. and over equalized mid-range setting. The screen was large and almost overwhelming, The sound quality suffered in many ways, as noted from harsh upper tones, along with what seemed to be, a blown overhead Bass loudspeaker, which ruined any dynamic or ominous effects in the movie, to the point of comedy.I honestly feel that my humble Home-Theater system, would have done much better.I am surprised that this important issue has not been addressed to date.
vida piri
vida piri: Loved it , Great theatre and Sound quality ,ticket purchase process is swift and so is entry. Snacks and drinks are good.
Jacob Fu
Jacob Fu: W theatre
Carson Leung
Carson Leung: Our favorite Cineplex theatre, which also happens to be our only choice in downtown if you don’t count Cineplex Odeon at Chinatown (I don’t wanna get stabbed).
Gaurav Chadha
Gaurav Chadha: Movie: Guardians of the Galaxy 3The D box seats in the theatre are motorised to simulate movement within the movie. The vibration is adjustable to 3 levels, but cannot be turned off. The vibration adds to the experience of certain movies, but is sometimes forced and unnecessary.Tickets are half-priced on Tuesdays, so that's the ideal day to go. Has a good selection of snacks available. The sound system is definitely at par with other halls.
Nima Alaeiilkhchi
Nima Alaeiilkhchi: it is okay but the upper floor where the bulk of theatres are always seems to be under development. the food service is usually closed and washroom is less good in the upper floor
vamsi krishna
vamsi krishna: The theater was amazing, great seats, good screen, we had a good time. There was a Groot figure on the occasion of guardians of the Galaxy vol -3 to take photos with. The food options were good too. Overall a great movie experience.
Isaiah Joseph
Isaiah Joseph: Great customer service got what I ordered fast. After the movie, plenty of workers waiting to take the garbage also said thank you
Ben Liddle
Ben Liddle: Would be amazing if they got the new style seats other theaters now have
O G
O G: Very nice Cineplex theatre. Lots of screens, but you'll have to find the right theatre across the numerous floors in the building.
Red Meg.
Red Meg.: Nice place! It was a quick visit. I will provide more details from my next visit :)
David Fisher
David Fisher: Great venueFriendly staff
Macky Cunanan
Macky Cunanan: I was really disappointed about how much this place has been taken forgranted and unkempt. My wife and I used to frequent this place when we were still dating years ago. And now that we came back to visit (supposedly to reminisce even bringing our 6 year old daughter now with us), instead of being enamored, I ended up being really upset instead! The place was just so untidy (with boxes littered everywhere) and the cinema that we watched the movie at (Cinema 3) was without any air-conditioning considering how hot it was outside (23 degrees). Even my daughter started complaining while we were inside as I'm sure some of the patrons felt the sheer discomfort too! Whoever the Manager is in charge should be fired! If they think they are saving money with all of this cost cutting measures they're doing well I hope they think again... as this does not do anything to encourage patrons to come and watch a movie on the big screen! 😡
Manuel Cerrato
Manuel Cerrato: Avx screen rocks your soul away
Kat Medes
Kat Medes: Strange set up for ticket purchase (can’t pay a cashier for tickets; have to order online or use self serve kiosk at theatre), but decent theatre. Like the variety in types of movies and range of ticket prices (d box, 3D, the screen option, and the basic movie).
Joey Hickson
Joey Hickson: best movie theater in Vancouver 😊
Kaley Merritt
Kaley Merritt: Pretty big theatre, great sound, but the seats are pretty old and uncomfortable. However, the building itself is quite nice. There are snacks and food options on every floor and there are 3 floors total. They also have a great selection of movies that they bring in. It’s definitely the best theatre in the downtown area!
Ben G
Ben G: Went to see John Wick here, we were disappointed to to find there were no recliners, but it wasn't such a big issue as we found the seats really comfortable and the quality of the screen was great. Good choice of food and drink here too with refillable stations for soda

arash darvish
arash darvish: Cozy place for local theater groups to experience.
K. Bamba
K. Bamba: The best movie theatre in vancouver
Wendy Hunter
Wendy Hunter: Cozy neighbourhood theatre predominately showing foreign films.
Francesca Murray
Francesca Murray: The Seats are too tall and like MANY of Vancouver's theatres, the FOOD/SNACK selection is quite POOR... NO HEALTHY OPTIONS.
Cameron E
Cameron E: Amazing staff and volunteers! A wonderful venue to see films. Great options for popcorn toppings too!
Kate Castel
Kate Castel: Always love to go there for old films!
walentyna karcz
walentyna karcz: This place present excellent movies.
miss mabel
miss mabel: We were in town as tourists and needed something to do in the evening, so we walked down to this theatre and watched whatever was playing--a documentary about plantations in Hawaii. It was really interesting! Great atmosphere and snacks and staff. Definitely worth a stop no matter what's playing.
Gerald Joe
Gerald Joe: Nice 153 seat venue for film screenings. Concession includes best popcorn seasoning selection.
Gustavo Teodoro
Gustavo Teodoro: I can't explain how magical this place is. The staff is incredible, and they have the best selection of movies ever!
Lasse Hvitved
Lasse Hvitved: Staff is friendly and movie selection is very good but the practice of having to self salt the popcorn is dumb and the facility askedShows its age. Work supporting though since they are one of the few places in Vancouver showing independent and artsy movies
Cesar Hugs C
Cesar Hugs C: VIFF selection this year was a fail for me ha ha... But we're not rating that... We're rating the theater...It was F ing hot!! I couldn't enjoy the movie because it was soooo hottt inside the theater. me and my friends were glued to our seats in sweat! It wasn't just me. They needed to turn AC and make it comfortable. The drinks and popcorn stand were fine. Good selection. And I did appreciate the spices tray for popcorn. That was awesome. The staff/volunteers were all amazing.Seats were comfy enough and actually nicely lined up so that you didn't get stuck behind a super tall person. Good layout! But for the love of god! Manage temperature a bit better!
Sonsoles Perez de Tagle
Sonsoles Perez de Tagle: Love it here - definitely the place to go to for those looking to watch "non-Hollywood" films!
Charlie Kennington
Charlie Kennington: We had a very lovely experience here and absolutely looking forward to returning soon! Nice cozy theatre, very friendly and accommodating staff, and delicious popcorn and treats. A gem in the heart of downtown.
Lyle Lexier
Lyle Lexier: Excellent place to watch foreign films and non-Hollywood films. I enjoy listening to the foreign languages, especially French.
c k
c k: Great curation of films and best popcorn!
Patrick Tracy
Patrick Tracy: First time here. Very rewarding and informative experience!!
Melody Monro
Melody Monro: Love this theatre, it's been here as a strong community type theatre. I've watched so many interesting, indie films here.
Leigh Press
Leigh Press: A great independent theater showcasing non-mainstream flicks. Past films, even present- a great spot to have a popcorn, sit and feel emersed in something greater than ourselves. Life. I feel that way when I'm watching a film here that allows me to escape-even for 80 mins- a reset and possibly a life changing experience. I never feel self conscious coming here alone- it's okay to be me solo and possibly unlike a larger theater might make me question things, I don't here. I feel a sense of community here 💕
Spider Fingers
Spider Fingers: Great theatre and I love the films they show. I wish there were more places like this in Vancouver.

Landmark Cinemas 10 New Westminster: what do users think?
Drew Guerra
Drew Guerra: Always like watching here especially at new Westminster location since 2014. Cast were awesome. Place is neat and cozy. And just so relaxing!! I'm from downtown Vancouver and I don't mind travelling here since it is way so much better experience. Tuesday evenings are the best as well ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Jeannine Chiasson
Jeannine Chiasson: This is my go to movie theater, the seats are incredible, the temperature within the theatre is so comfortable not too cold not hot.Something else I really like is at the plaza where landmark Cinemas is there are lots of shops to go look at and places to eat… Why would anybody go watch a movie anywhere else…
J GC
J GC: People at the entrance kiosk were very rude & judgmental and told me backpacks weren’t allowed, I’m a student and was carrying brand new books. Never coming again.
Natasha Lynne
Natasha Lynne: Reclining chairs!!!!
Nima Alaeiilkhchi
Nima Alaeiilkhchi: seats are spacious and volume is good
Joe E
Joe E: Great place to go for movies easy parking and access also very comfy seats to relax and enjoyb
Emily
Emily: This theater is badYes it has nice seats but the staff is god awful.i and understand every struggle but seriously a manager couldn’t even tell me where my movie was playing??? Since they have no posters it’s impossible to tell where each movie was playing.
Drd Cameron
Drd Cameron: Love the recliner seats.
Michelle Campbell
Michelle Campbell: Love that every theatre has super comfortable seats that recline. The premium seats are pretty cool, too, to have more privacy and the heated seats, which helps me not freeze while watching the movie. My go-to place to watch a move. Love the movie club membership where you get a free admission credit. If you don't use it, it will accumulate.
Aleksandr Spiridonov
Aleksandr Spiridonov: Impossible to register at all, every time it asking you to choose favorite genre, man i don't care just let me register to buy ticket that's all, i don't care that my password doesn't have non numerical number or my birthdate is wrong or i did select my favorite genre, i don't care deal with by yourself i just want to buy damn ticket not to tell you all my life story
Heather Yuzik
Heather Yuzik: Big comfy reclining seats. The best!
Joey Beauchamp
Joey Beauchamp: It is a great theater that is convenient to get to. Sometimes, the lines are a bit long, and I wish they had more food options, but still a great place to see a movie.
O G
O G: If I can, I always try to come to Landmarks instead of competitors. Better atmosphere, comfier chairs, and overall cozier experience
Ryan Duggan
Ryan Duggan: it's a good place
Dimitri S
Dimitri S: Good prices, fantastic movie seats (reclineable chairs) and great movie treats
Halide Mamat
Halide Mamat: We went with family friends and we all enjoyed
Cris
Cris: 1st time coming here with my friends and I thought that it was fantastic. The seats are great and comfortable and the theater is not too big which makes it really nice to watch a movie.Since it's in a skytrain station it's easy for those who are using transit and if those that are driving there's plenty of parking the parking is. Paid though so it could get a bit expensive depending on what you're doing but to be here. Everything is expensive now for parking.
Ken Burke
Ken Burke: I took two small children to a movie last night. Seems a bit pricey at $50 but ok.Seats are comfy. The washrooms are unacceptable. My daughter was sliding around on a broken toilet seat and then there was no toilet paper. Seems like a first world problem? No, I just returned from South America and they proudly kept their washrooms clean and stocked. There were only a bunch of ambivalent teens working there and no adult in charge. For $50 the family can stay home and avoid the crackhead experience.
Clayton Blair
Clayton Blair: Great location via skytrain. Awesome theaters, issue is only 1 washroom. Concession area can get very busy during movie premiere weekend
Yiao Shu
Yiao Shu: Cheaper than Cineplex and definitely nicer than the non-vip Cineplex cinemas. Paid parking though.
Barton Chan
Barton Chan: Easy better than Cineplex. Online order is very easy. Account management has a clear record online. Seats are comfy and clean. Movie experience is very pleasant and I come here often

Cineplex Cinemas Marine Gateway and VIP: what do users think?
Guilherme Guedes
Guilherme Guedes: Great cinema venue, three people who work there are very helpful and kind. As usual, is expensive but we'll, it's the same everywhere. Their website needs lots of improvement sunder it's not easy to buy tickets. They ask you for a lot of info and a Canadian cell phone number to "protect" you account (tourists are not welcome?). Besides that, it is a very big and comfortable place, it's worth the hassle, I recommend it since it's easy to go there, there's good stores nearby and of course, the big screen and sound system are a 10/10.
Aaron Billones
Aaron Billones: Great VIP experience! Really classy and high end place for date night and service was stellar
Marcos Dominguez
Marcos Dominguez: You have to came!!!
K R
K R: Love the VIP theater on Tuesdays. Wish it reclined all the way back line landmark but the service is great. I can order some drinks and some mini doughnuts before my movie. Why not?
Jojo Yee
Jojo Yee: Always a fun time...
Michael Yeung
Michael Yeung: No free parking
Khairul Hassan
Khairul Hassan: Convenient Cineplex, surrounded with many things. Regular seats are not the best but it does the job.
Rishi Srivastava
Rishi Srivastava: Very uncomfortable seats. Never say in one like them before (instead of recliner, they see-saw). Uncomfortable
Ty Emmelkamp
Ty Emmelkamp: Nice view from the VIP lounge. Sub par food and drinks, it's a movie theater.
A G Handling
A G Handling: Went to VIP, seats look like recliners but do not recline. Uncomfortable and disappointing.
Dave Binns
Dave Binns: Had the theater almost to ourselves
man safi
man safi: NOT A REAL VIP CINEMA. Non-Reclining very uncomfortable old weathered seats. If you went to Brentwood and expected the same here you'd be extremely and I mean extremely disappointed. Waste of money much rather go Brentwood.
MAFTY
MAFTY: My go-to cinema for any movie. Theatres are clean, chairs are comfortable, and most importantly its easily accessible by the skytrain.
David Fisher
David Fisher: Great place near the skytrain!
Belinda Neumann
Belinda Neumann: Comfy seats, great sound and good selection of movies.
Wayne Macdougall
Wayne Macdougall: Great sound system. Large enjoyable space. I recommend.
Manish Basra
Manish Basra: Such a nice cinema with great customer service. Good thing movies are just 5 mins away from me 😄🤩
Alan Nava
Alan Nava: The tacos were very tasty but the VIP experience wasn’t worth it, the seatings were so uncomfortable and so crowded. what makes it vip is that you have servers and the food.
Maher Manoubi
Maher Manoubi: I like this theater, it's pretty clean with nice service in the VIP and has an arcade even.
Jonathan Paulin
Jonathan Paulin: Impark parking enforcement is too strict, being late by 15 min should not get you a ticket. You already need to pay parking to see the movie 7$ for 3 hours. Go somewhere that's more parking friendly, like landmark in New West.
ida august
ida august: Friendly service and clean 👌
