The Antique Warehouse: what do users think?
Ian Zhou: If you're a fan of French antiques, then this is the place for you! I recently visited this antique store and was blown away by their incredible selection of French antique pieces. From furniture to decorative items, they had it all.But what really stood out to me was the owner's knowledge and passion for French antiques. They were able to provide detailed information about each piece, from its history to its craftsmanship. It was clear that they truly loved what they were selling, and that passion made the shopping experience all the more enjoyable.Speaking of the shopping experience, it was fantastic. The store was beautifully curated and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The owner was also incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure that I found exactly what I was looking for.Overall, I highly recommend this antique store to anyone looking for high-quality French antiques and a friendly and knowledgeable shopping experience. It's clear that the owner takes pride in their selection, and it shows in the quality of the pieces they offer. I will definitely be returning in the future!
Steven Shaw: Friendly, helpfull
Asmaa A: Thank-you to Mark, Brian and Michael for all your help and patience in helping me choose my new pieces. I wasn't able make it to the Antique Warehouse in person so I am very thankful Mark (owner) had the time to walk through the shop (via FaceTime) and suggest pieces; I can't imagine anyone else doing that. I love all of my new (antique) pieces -they're gorgeous. The delivery service was fantastic as well and I hope to see you in person soon.
Rob Rothwell: Unlike many other antique stores, the products are beautifully laid-out and displayed over two brightly lit, expansive floors in Vancouver's Antique Warehouse. The items are clean, polished, and restored where needed. Product pricing is exceptionally fair. I was fortunate enough to find the perfect table for an espresso station; an item I could find nowhere else in Vancouver. Brian was immensely helpful and patient during the search and transaction. I highly recommend him and the business.
Tammy Anast: Love this store! Beautiful selection of European furniture. I want to live here.
SB Willie: They have a large selection of items in a large, two story space. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks, given how much space furniture takes. Staff asked if I needed help, and showed me a couple features on a piece I was interested in, that led to me purchasing it.I was able to pay by phone, and picked it up with the assistance of two fellows who were careful and made sure I had a small key that went with it. They do have a delivery service available as well. They contacted me prior to pick up to ensure it was ready and I didn't require delivery, in case they needed to make arrangements. My only downside was that I had emailed a couple questions but didn't receive a reply. We did phone and connected with someone quickly. Overall, I'm very happy!
Michela Trimboli: This is truly, in my opinion, the best antique importer of the highest quality furnishings that I have ever come across. Mark has exquisite taste and is honest, loyal and truly, a wonderful person. I have never been so content with my antique purchases as I have with Antique Warehouse. Thank you:)
Itraa design: Its a treasure for vintage furniture with warm & friendly staff to help u.
trina bowman: Clean beautiful antiques .. friendly knowledgeable
nicole: Gem of a store! Honestly wish I could keep this place a secret to myself!Staff is amazing and so knowledgeable. The pieces are so unique and amazing quality.Prices are unbelievable. So many furniture styles to chose from, if you need a statement piece do yourself a favour and drop by.I just need a bigger home to fit all my dream pieces of furniture.
Jay Holtslander: Most impressive antique furniture store I’ve ever been in. Wow.
Jay Purohit: If you have the inclination for antiques, this is a good place to go, beautiful paintings, classy antique furniture.
Bruce Wiesner: My wife and I have found a real passion the last few years in antique furniture and art pieces. We have purchased our antiques exclusively from the Antique Warehouse and are transforming almost every room in our house with a host of beautiful pieces.Mark, Gareth and the team are knowledgeable, trustworthy, terrific people and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We are truly lucky to have Mark running this business in Vancouver and carrying on an amazing thirty-year tradition he started with his partner Larry. His ability to consistenly bring fine French and European Antiques into his store is amazing. We visit regularly and there is always something new to tempt us.
Matt Gul: First time I had shopping, it is an amazing place, great items very friendly approaches.
Sherril Crowshaw: A beautiful place for fine antiques. My number one place if I want something special for my home. You will not be disappointed. When visiting the store I’m greeted by the charming Mark, Gareth and Brian. I get so excited to see their marvellous finds from Paris. When visiting make sure to ask Mark about his incredible Coco Chanel finds. My dream is to own a piece one day. My current obsession is guilded mirrors and they have many to choose from - I can never have enough. I’m always excited with seeing the new arrivals on their Instagram. I can’t wait for my next visit.
Valorie Lennox: I have been a happily addicted Antique Warehouse customer for at least a decade. When I'm in Vancouver, I loved stopping by to browse - the pieces on display are often breathtakingly beautiful. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Thanks to their sales, I've been able to acquire show-stopping furniture despite my 'beer budget.' Visitors are often stunned by what I have tucked inside my modest home...it is difficult to convey how amazing these pieces are.Latest acquisition is a 1680s, heavily carved oak court cupboard. I can hardly tear my eyes away from admiring it - it is so gorgeous yet cost less than a smaller, veneered server from a major furniture chain.
Louise Lloyd: Dear Mark, Gareth, Branden, Brian, Neil and the Antique Warehouse team,Tres Bon!Thank You for all your assistance, you are truly a lovely bunch to deal with and a pleasure to know. Your Team chemistry, commitment and always there to help your clients, speaks volumes to the passion you all have for what you do!Your professional expert knowledge, skill in craftsmanship involved in the tender care and time it takes to bring each beautiful piece; big or small from all the way across continents overseas, is appreciated. You always have an impressive French, UK, SE Asian to African and European, Scandinavian, Italian etc., selection to entice all tastes whether its an architectural period of a certain influence you are seeking, eclectic, eccentric, minimalist, traditional or moderne! So much to enjoy! There is something for everyone's palate!Your knack Mark, in sourcing such fabulous Antiques and unique vintage items brings us alive from your worldly foraging! Thank You for bringing all the wonderful pieces so carefully and painstakingly hand picked, it is so important to keep History alive with each items provenance, its amazing journey to your store. Simply put, you and the team are excellent! You rock the block!Best experience, I love the ease of online with detailed pictures, sizes, circa'sKind Regards, and a happy customer, Louise L. BC, Canada
Sydney Huebner: An absolute must visit! We were treated so kindly as soon as we stepped through the doors. The store itself is impressive in size, and the quality of hundreds of unique pieces that fill the space is simply outstanding. It’s an absolute pleasure to walk through and admire the beautiful pieces Mark has picked out from across the world. Mark and Gareth helped us find amazing pieces that we will cherish for our lifetime. If you are looking for a new piece of furniture for your place, check them out! You will be so happy you did.
Michael John Doucet: Best Antiques in North America Fantastic delivery across Canada
Randy Cobbett: The Antique Warehouse is definitely the best place to go to in Greater Vancouver to look for French antique furniture. There is lots of selection for each item you might be looking for. We wanted to look at an armoire and there were at least 10 different ones to choose from. After being shown around to each of them by Mark, we settled on one that that should be perfect for us. The prices are reasonable and the customer service was great. We highly recommend that you check out the Antique Warehouse even if you not currently planning on buying any new antiques right now. It is fun to look at everything in the shop and a visit will give you ideas for your next antique purchase.
Patrick Rodrigues: There is a lot to like about the Antique Warehouse, and I'd sum it up as selection, service, and style.First of all, it is a large facility with a wide selection. Its a wonderful place to spend an hour or two admiring all the beautiful and sometimes quirky/neat items.Second, the service. Mark and his staff are knowledgeable about the products, and I like that they offer to clean/shine them up before they send them out. They were able to accommodate that I couldn't receive delivery of the items until a month after purchase. I also found Mark very fair to deal with when finalizing the purchase price. Finally, I just love the European vibe and style of the majority of their products. It is really nice to be able to fill our home with beautiful items that are not cookie cutter replica's that everyone else has. This was my first time time purchasing antique furniture and i do not think it will be my last, thanks to the great experience at the Antique Warehouse.

Attic Treasures: what do users think?
Ashley Banbury: Went there last weekend to find some teak chairs- this place has a great selection of furniture and everything was affordable (ESPECIALLY for teak furniture!). I bought a set of 4 beautiful chairs and I am super happy with them. Everything is in good condition and well cared for. I am on the hunt for a teak sideboard and will definitely go back to Attic Treasures to find one!
Mitchell Pozar: Slightly pricy, but excellent quality MCM and other furniture and goods
Narcoleptic Mama: The woman who runs this store has the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered. She was nasty nasty nasty, I’ll take my money elsewhere… very impatient woman.
Blake Frederick: I've been here only once but that was enough to witness the owners giving someone a Christmas tree for free a few days before Christmas. They are such kind and generous people, I was so impressed. Visit and enjoy all the items on offer!
nick campbell: Best spot on commercial, Lillian always hooks it up with the greatest prices and best selection of actual treasure
Connie S: Lots of treasures. Fun to browse.
MM Y: Grumpy lady working there. Had no interest of helping me and I was waiting for her to show me what I asked about and I just waited around until I realized she was not going to help me. She just sat there so I left the store and politely said Thank You. No acknowledgment. PS: I was the only customer there.
Paula Darwent: Collectors will love it here!
Andrew Ward: So much cool vintage furniture, decor, and miscellany at very reasonable prices, all curated and displayed in one single place!! Very friendly owners too. Officially my favourite shop in Vancouver
Cail Smith: I love visiting this shop. They have great vintage pieces at reasonable prices including furniture, lighting and dishware, as well as some small knick knacks. There is enough stuff to see that it feels like a treasure hunt but not so much that you can't navigate. And always new things coming in. Definitely lots of the mid-century modern style items, if you're looking for that. The owner is really great and has helped me find numerous items. I was stuck on which floor light and she steered me to something that was a bit cheaper "vintage style" and a little easier to take care of. I appreciated her finding something that worked for me rather than a more expensive item. That lamp is one of my favourite things in my home now. 🛋️
Jay Hub: Attic Treasures is a delight to shop in. Always fun seeing all the new peices that come in. Service is fantastic, the store is set up for Covid safety, we love our experiences in the store. If I could rate Attic Trasure a 10 star rating, I would.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bogna Altman: We have purchased our dining chairs in Attic Treasures today (I probably don't even have to mention they are absolutely beautiful). The Service was great, kind, polite and helpful. If you are unhappy with the Seller - then perhaps you carry your negative aura around with you and it can clash with others. We happened to get few giggles and jokes back and forth and it made my day! Anyhow, we had great experience. They stick to keeping everyone safe, providing all the space necessary to browse all the great vintage goodies they have there (and they have galore of MCM objects & furniture). The items they offer are *curated* and well researched. They are *not* a Value Village store (which I also love, don't get me wrong). If you want an object that is high quality and made as they used to (solid, and actually crafted), you will understand why you don't pay an alley-found prices.Highly recommended!
Jemma Maisonet: this place is horrendously overpriced. go to the thrift store...
Leslie Brown: Excellent quality!
Eva Sullivan: Why is everything so overpriced? Why is the lady so grumpy?
Saz Baz: Their furniture and other stock looks well cared for and seems of good quality, but prices are excessive. It may be a good place to find unique items, however.
Laara Beaton: I bought a beautiful vintage rug from them. It's gorgeous and it was well priced.
Viola Pettigrew: Funky finds!
Alan Gillies: Do NOT trust Lillian... She agreed to a price to purchase some furniture from me, then at last minute changed the agreed to price offering 250 less... DO NOT TRUST HER. BE WARY!
Stéphanie Angers: Completely in love with this store. You need to shop here if you are looking for true vintage/modern furniture.
Marcel Duquette: Always a pleasure to see Lillian. Great stuff and reasonable prices.

The Sellution: what do users think?
For a Whale: Some great pieces versus some ok pieces, guess it’s time for treasure hunt.
Em G: Excellent selection and great finds!
Wim Smolders: Love the the place
Amanda Benko: I had such a pleasant experience at The Sellution largely because of Greg. I had some questions about a wood finish that I was trying to fix up and he was beyond helpful and went above and beyond to take a look at the item in order to help me find the best solution. He was so knowledgeable about the items in store as well and you can tell he is passionate about his work. Thank you Greg! We will be coming back for sure. :)
Richard J. Braun: I consigned a table for a friend
AIMBOT bob: Nice selection of smaller to medium sized antiques and friendly staff
B Kay: Love this little shop - you never know what you're going to find, other than that it will be fantastic! I contacted The Sellution to help sell some vintage and well-kept items of my grandmother's, when she decided to downsize. Throughout the process, the owner was a fantastic help and just made the experience easy from beginning to end. My grandmother got good prices for her items, and I can only imagine the buyers were happy with their finds. In my forays into the shop, I even bought a few items for myself - they had some really nice paintings and art pieces. All-in-all, it was really a nice experience and I just want to say thank you to the owner and the staff for maintaining such a cool little shop where you can find things you literally won't find anywhere else. Places like this are the heart and soul of Main Street!
Lisa Scharfe: Always come by looking for new things and although my style is more modern, there's a few items I really liked that I picked up. More so, staff is always so great, letting me peruse before asking to help me. I don't care for the pressure of sales people so its nice to just look and then ask when I'm ready.
Tiffany Tolmie: Absolutely love this adorable little antique shop on Main! It’s a rare find these days. Such great prices too! We bought two beautiful lamps and these cute vintage nutcrackers from them. Such great quality! It’s so hard to find shops like this. Such a lucky find!
victoria smith: In there for 15 minutes and not one person acknowledged me. 2 ladies talking at the counter. Watched me browse though...
H T: The Sellution is a fun store to shop and browse, however, my favourite feature would be their wonderful staff. We’re an interracial queer couple and we were treated with respect and kindness just like anyone other customer. Being treated with good manners and respect was unfortunately not something we could take granted for in the past couple of years especially during the Covid pandemic. Whether in person or email communication, the owner and staff were really helpful and patient. One more thing I’d like to thank them for is that, just last week, I couldn’t drive 30 minutes there and back to pick up my consignment cheque due to some physical challenges and they offered to mail it to me without any hassles. I feel very grateful for business that have great people like them.
Ed Braun: Great stuff, sorry all thumbs today started with a 3 should have been 4.5.
Shanny Rann: I sold a vintage chair with them and loved the experience. Great things they carry in the store!
Alan Caplan: This store is awesome, and the staff is great. I moved to Vancouver in 1997 and bought my first piece of furniture from this store, as well as many others over the years. It really is the kind of store that has something for everyone, whatever style of decor you are looking for. The prices are extremely reasonable, which means that not only will you get a bargain if you find something that you want, but also that the merchandise turns over quickly, so it is a place to go to often if you are looking for something in particular. Given my experiences with Sellution over the years, I would also be 100% confident in them if I had something that I needed to consign, such as the table that now has no place in my home because of my newest Sellution purchase last week.
Jimena Eloísa Avilés: Your place for vintage furniture! I loved my new desk and bench. Great prices and quality pieces.
MC Danda: Purchased some barrel planters I saw on their Instagram page. It was easy to make an appointment for pick-up. The owner is very helpful. Reasonable prices.
Kelvin Chan: Great shop that sells quality vintage furniture but without overcharging like other "antique" store. Love coming here for a browse here and there. I have been to all 3 locations they've moved to in last 5 years. Hopefully they can stay in this spot for good. Also love that I can bring my dog in here while I'm shopping.
Coral More: Went to look at dining tables with my dad and the staff was friendly and prices were great!
Kathleen Kiely: Tanya and her staff are absolitely wonderful!

Banana Lab. - Mid Century Modern Danish Furniture/Teak/Vintage Home Decor Movie Props & Rental: what do users think?
Brian Mclean: We live in Ontario and we were interested in a vintage MCM file cabinet that Banana Lab had on their website. Jin, was extremely helpful answering all our questions and going above and beyond by even sending us a video. Banana Lab packed the file cabinet expertly to ensure it would arrive safely. The end to end experience was 5 stars. We would highly recommend Banana Lab.
Wes Wes: So badly over priced . I can’t believe people actually pay these stoopid prices . Shop around people you are paying close to double it’s value
ET: Friendly owners and a great selection of MCM products. Given the growing demand and interest in MCM products over the years, Banana Lab continues to offer a great selection and pricing compared to other shops locally and across the border.
Leif Bergrud: Very friendly people and great furniture.
vmurt: Second Luff Puff's review below. The site does not accurately represent the condition of the items, especially given the prices (expensive compared to other vintage furniture stores in town). This is especially the case for upholstered items or lamps. Don't buy those without seeing them in person.
Sue S. Chan: I purchased a Hans Wegner dining set that was quiet the operation to send from Canada to Los Angeles but Jin and his team did everything they could to make this experience easy & seamless. Very trustworthy, a strong attention to detail and very thoughtful and careful. I highly recommend shopping with them.
Luff Puff: Kind of over priced for the conditions of the things.MUST check out in person. Online photos are a bit misleading.Feels more like a curated thrift store than a true vintage furniture store.
Justin Beaune: Great furniture finds..amazing quality
v: Excellent mid century furniture and super helpful cute couple who own it. Fantastic website as well to look before you go as it’s a small space with lots inside. Fair pricing for style.
Martin: Great store for furniture. Very nice owners. If you're looking for mid cent. Furniture, this a great place to go :)
K S (Kat): The owners of this place are so kind. I bought a desk here years ago and one of the owners had made me a Korean Citroën tea while I shopped and when I left with my purchase, she sent me home with an entire jar of tea because I loved it so much.Great selection of mcm furniture and amazing restoration work. Love the local products and fun memorabilia as well.
Jennifer Hill: I came across Banana Lab while searching for mid century furniture near Alaska. Most other companies I found said they did not offer shipping to Alaska. I found a beautiful credenza at Banana Lab (online) and fell in love with it. The owners were extremely helpful in coordinating shipping the credenza to Alaska. They were communicative, professional and responsive - overall amazing customer service! The credenza was in excellent condition when it arrived, and even more stunning than I could have imagined! It completely transformed my space, and I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I appreciate Banana Lab for helping make this happen! I would definitely buy furniture from them again.
Karen Madsen: Fabulous place, and wonderful people! They have a great website, and presence on social media. We had fallen in love with a pair of bedside tables online; when they went on sale, they were our #1 priority. I requested an appointment via email, and received a very prompt reply. Their store is just amazing ... we could have spent many hours browsing through all of their treasures, large & small. Great selection of teak, at very fair prices. Highly recommend!
SuN K: I bought a table 2 years agoTable is beautiful and still in perfect condition after 2 years of heavy usePrice was fantastic, cheaper than other vintage storesThe owners were super friendly and professionalI definitely recommend this storeVery unique items
Bruce Piper: Great selection of mid century teak furniture
Richard Gilmour: Unique items not found elsewhere, but sadly moved. Now a awesome game venue
Chris Ouimet: Excellent selection and service, I will be a return customer
Susan Aramden: We bought a lovely credenza here! Luckily, the one I was picking was on sale!Fast delivery and the customer service was amazingly good.
Heather White: Amazing customer service and speedy delivery!
Amara Smith: I bought a set of mid-century dining chairs. They had reupholstered them and did a great job finishing them. Great service and they were happy to try and help me find what I was looking for. It's very furniture focused but there's a wide selection of mid- century Danish goodies.
Marco James: Bought beautiful teak hutch and found they carry quality vintage pieces. Will definitely come back again!

Gild & Co.: what do users think?
Debra Ames: Gild and Co. has been my go to destination for beautiful and unique home decor for many years now. I can honestly say there is nothing else out there that comes close to the quality and service they provide.
Maxwell Elliott: This is a beautiful store with unique, top-quality items. The staff are extremely warm, welcoming and passionate about their products.
Elsie Sands: Lots of interesting things here. Not to be missed.
Arran Hamilton: Gorgeous store…so warm! I’m very glad the shop made it through Covid! Love the pillows, throw rugs, and candles too! A Point Grey staple for sure ❤️
S Poulsen: Bonnie curates the most inspiring collection of the highest quality new and vintage pieces from both local and global artists and creators. She has a passion for sharing her breadth and depth of knowledge of furniture, art, ceramics, design, and textiles. Every beautiful vignette she styles tells a story. Thank you Bonnie!
Kelly Wilson: Love this store. So many beautiful, unique items that you won't find anywhere else. Worth the trip.
Zadie Wilson: My favourite store in Vancouver. I love the rugs. I always buy something here!
Tristan Wilson: I drop by this store when in Vancouver. It isn't the usual big box store stuff, it is totally unique.

Rebecca Rawlinson: One of my most favourite shops in Vancouver. The store is filled with the most unique, beautiful home decor pieces. I can't leave without buying something! The owner does a spectacular job of merchandising...every time I come in the store looks incredibly beautiful. Great service too!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
M B: I love popping by Gild & Co when I am in Vancouver - it is nice to see the furniture, lamps and rugs in person. You can actually get most stuff right away, rather than having to order everything like at other stores. Love their style! I sometimes order stuff online too to my town.
Timberly Ambler: Gorgeous store! Such a beautiful array of items - and something for everyone. If you love the vintage meets modern look, or just looking for a gift with a lot of style - you should shop here. I've been coming her since the store opened and always fall in love with something new everytime.

Personally love the variety of pillows to decorate your home with.
Megan Baker: A beautiful store with lots of home decor treasures, lighting and furniture designed by the owner. One of my favourite stops for inspiration and special pieces to make a house a home!
Kelly Fung: The mirror arrived Asia safely! I just opened it, it’s sooo beautiful Love the finishing. Thank you so much for the professional delivery and packaging. I really appreciate it♥️Super happy with it, I am officially a fan of your store now. The curation of this shop is tasteful.
Shaun Deans: Unique and beautiful home furnishings. We recently renovated our home and Bonnie’s design advice has been outstanding.
Lenny H: Everyone knows that offline stores are not doing well now, but why not improve their service level? I need a hanging picture at home so I entered the store.1.I walked into this store and took a lot of nice pictures in the beginning,no one gave me any warning.2.But when I walked to the front desk, the staff asked needed any help? I said I was just browsing,She looked unhappy( I don’t know she has some own mood or for me) and just said oh browsing!!!( not welcome tone)3.Here comes the point, I continue to take some pictures of items that I think are good-looking, then she very seriously warned me not to take pictures in the store. From the time I told her I was just browsing, she had a bad tone and I felt very strongly uncomfortable.I suggest you, if the retail store has such a rule, please post the no-photography rule on the door and let customers know. Also, please give me advice in a good tone, not a sense of command.I've never seen a furniture store that can't take pictures and no any paper prompt in store. The store ruining my mood.
Karen Wilson: Great store. I used to be a big box store and online home decor customer until I started shopping at Gild and Co. Now I have beautiful things of real value in my home and I’m loving it! If I were starting over again everything would come from Gild and Co.
Reno Sb: Just Love love love this shop. It’s my wife’s favourite spot for all your antiques and furniture needs. 12/10 all day.
鸡蛋jidan: Beautiful shop for furniture and antiques

By Design Modern: what do users think?
ZFK: Great quality, reasonable price, and great customer service!
Kyle Fitzpatrick: By Design Modern is an excellent company devoted to the satisfaction of their discerning customers. After a shipping company partially unpacked our shipment in transit, our beautiful sideboard was damaged in transit. The By Design Modern team went to extensive lengths to make sure the issue was handled to my satisfaction with no additional cost. Shipping these beauties can be scary, and things do happen, and be assured that you are in safe hands with this company should an issue arise.
Iain Duncan: What a treasure trove incredible tables, chairs, lounge chairs, sofas, desks, light fixtures and more. Lindsey was an incredible asset in helping us explore options, try out different variations and land on some exciting pieces for our home.
Cathy Hingston: I wish I had a bigger place and more money to spend, I purchased a teak sideboard and bookcase this month. The selection of inventory made choosing more difficult than I thought it would. The pieces we eventually decided on blend well with the mid century coffee and end tables I inherited. Highly recommend if mid century Danish is your thing.
Ronald Joma: We purchased a rosewood Omann Jun Model 75 desk. The desk was refinished and shipped to us in Ontario and is absolutely gorgeous. We are very pleased with the purchase experience and highly recommend By Design Modern.Jeremy and Lindsay are very knowledgeable, attentive to details and workmanship. They are excellent in their communications and timely responses. Best of all, you receive the goods on time and expertly wrapped. You can be certain that you are purchasing a quality product.
Sara Z.: What a fantastic store! Huge selection of unique and quality furniture. Knowledgeable staff that goes above and beyond.
Earl Fudger: Absolutely horrible service. I spent $3500 on shelving, got to wrong parts and when I tried to solve the problem Lindsey was totally unaccountable. Even though he’s an owner he was useless and punted to Jeremy. The worst service ever.
Juliet Varnedoe: Top notch restoration and delivery. Very trusted source for original modern furniture. Responsive and helpful.
Stevan Springer: Beautiful 1960’s cabinet. It was restored and lacquered perfectly, packaged very securely and shipped quickly. Great communication throughout. Everything was quick and easy. It’s nice to have a beautiful high-quality original piece of furniture. Thank you!
farzod darzi: Beautiful mid century modern collection of furniture. Decent prices.
Lliam Harrison: This was an utterly painless, seamless and transparent transaction from our end. Jeremy was friendly, well informed, and clearly vested in open communication and integrity. We knew where things were throughout the process, and when the inevitable little hiccups occurred, Jeremy reached out to us, both to inform us and to see what we wanted. Everything worked well and there only two surprises. The first was that the ground shipment (all the way to Maritimes) arrived several days ahead of the estimate. The second just how perfectly gorgeous the table and chairs are, and how well Jeremy and his team matched our existing pieces. Exceptionally well packed, the items made the journey safely and we simply could not be happier with the whole experience. We will be referring friends, and when we need more pieces, we know who we're going call. THANK YOU!
Rick C: Recently purchased a secretary desk. My most positive retail experience in along time. Jeremy answered all my questions and worked out the best way to get the piece all the way across the country. When I picked it up at air freight, even the cargo handlers marvelled at how well it was packed. The legs had been removed for shipping and they took care care to number them with masking tape for easy reassembly. Can’t say enough about the professionalism and excellent service. Would give 6 stars if I could.
rhamaura: We are searching for a dining table and received outstanding advice from this business. We went to the store because we found a table online that was close to our requirements but didn’t quite work once iwe saw it. We were given the option of trying the table to test out. In the end we declined the offer. The employee (sorry didn’t get his name) was extremely knowledgeable and knew their stuff and was patient (we are fussers). We were encouraged to not compromise and continue looking as our ideal solution exists. Go here if you need a quality mid-century modern item and excellent service.
K S (Kat): Best selection of mcm in Vancouver.
jaimes schreier: What an excellent find! First experience with them was beyond perfect! Less than a week from order until delivery....and we ordered on family day! Was exactly as items was described and shown online. Fantastic service excellent delivery (we live on island) couldn't ask for better. We will definitely be ordering from them until the covid restrictions are lifted and we can shop in person!
SR B: Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable proprietors, interesting variety of authentic mid- century furniture. Well worth a visit!!
Ryan Ayres: Purchased a Mid Century Modern(MCM) dining table with drop leafs and two internal leafs fits amazing in our small Condo space. The quality of finish on the furniture and the experience we received from Lindsey and Jeremy at By Design Modern has us looking forward to our next purchase of a Credenza. Thank you for showing us the benefits of buying local!
Calum Timpany: Didn't buy anything but the owner was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are on the higher side but the quality of the refurbished furniture reflects this. They look brand new. You can also buy products as is for cheaper (no refurbishment). Would definitely like to buy from here someday when we have the money.
Lynn Larson: My wife and I recent moved into a new home which provided us with a library room. We already had three teak bookcases, but wanted to add a matching bookcase. Our on-line search took us to By Design Modern, which had the perfect complimentary bookcase. We made the purchase and Jeremy went above and beyond the call of duty to get the unit shipped from Canada to the desert Southwest. The bookcase was securely packed in Styrofoam inside a wooden shipping crate. The delivery company got the shipment here ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. Throughout the process, Jeremy kept us up-to-date and clearly informed about the transaction and shipping process. Great store with tremendous customer service, worthy of a 5-star rating!!!
Lisa R: Bought a beautiful table and chairs. I’d been looking for ages. Finally found exactly what I wanted. Went back a few weeks later and found a stunning side board. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Reasonably priced for the quality and level of service.
Gabriela Menyhart: I am definitely coming back here to buy more Danish mid-century furniture. The selection was great, the staff knowledgeable and approachable, and the pieces I got were delivered to my home and refinished beautifully. Best place to go for Danish mid-century furniture. Thanks guys.

Mid-Century Modern Home: what do users think?
Ember N: they do have nice modern some minimalistic furniture and decor. very pricey so be sure of what you purchase. the furnitures seems to be very delicate and conversation pieces.
James Kirkpatrick: One of the most extensive midcentury modern selections in the city. Jenny was very informative and willing to answer my questions even though I didn’t buy anything.
Luff Puff: Very overpriced. Stuff is just OK.There's a ton of teak, nothing but teak. And if you ask for something else, the owner will tell you that that's what REAL MCM is, it's teak.Sure, but i'm just trying to buy some furniture. I'm not going back in time.
Matthew Thiesen: Love this shop and the staff. When you need a special mid century piece, be it furniture lamps or small decor, this is your go-to. I recently purchased a piece of modern wall art and was super impressed with attention and care I received. Yes they call you back! Yes they answer questions and provide information! Best of all, if they don't have "it" now, keep going back because there's always something that just arrived.
Ed Braun: Great selection finest condition used mid century furniture .
Spencer Williams: 5/5 products1/5 customer service
Eric Pattison: Been a customer of Jen's since we were both tenants at River Market a few years ago. Bought many pieces over the years; they're always in great condition, beautiful and well worth the price. MCM Home has amazing knowledge of the designers and their work. Visit the new store just to see the wealth of design from the "modern" era. photo: mcm teak drinks cart
Jorge Castelan: Awesome selection!
Paul S: I enjoyed walking through this well curated store. The owner knows her stuff and gave me a great trip on replacing my lamp shade. The hardwood furniture pieces were all great to excellent condition and did not stray from the mcm genre.
Brent W: Outstanding selection of meticulously restored furniture, lighting and accessories. Highly recommend a visit!
Marna Short: FATASTIC selection of good quality MCM! Will definitely be back again Jenny knows her stuff and was awesome to deal with
D R: Amazing selection of MCM furniture.
Rizwan Kheraj: Really amazing collection of furniture.
Christopher M: Jenny is awesome and if you need Mid Century Modern this is a great place to go. (no its not MODERN ... Its Mid Century Modern! big difference)
Andrew: Really nice restorations of 1950s and 60s furniture. I like how the store is split into two sides as they use a couple of bays in the River Market. Store is laid out quite well and the pieces show well as they all fit that mid 1900s vibe.
myfavcolorred j: Jenny told me she was going to buy my teak furniture strung me along for a week then last minute said oh I can't buy it because the guy who's fixes my stuff doesn't think he can fix the table. Well that's fine but you should have never told me you wanted to buy it a week ago
Evan Moore: Went to MCM because I am on the hunt for an awesome lamp for my apartment. I have been cruising craigslist and other used sites for months and MCM products are always posted. Their pricing is on the upper end, but after not finding anything for what I was looking to spend I was ready to pull the trigger and boost my budget up.When I walked into the store I was greeted by one gentleman. who then swiftly walked away. That left one lady who again said hello, then went to do some other work. After wondering this part of the store for about 3 minutes I crossed the hallway to the other section where the was another man working away at a desk, this man never looked up or said hello. After walking around for another 4 or so minutes and doing a second lap of the first section of the store I left. Honestly when selling premium products like this no service is worse than poor service, especially given that in this case 3 people where working and there were no other customers to serve.
David Smith Homes: Excellent selection and top quality products. It's super specific, but if you're into mid-century modern, it's the place to go.
Tony: I would say not all pieces are mid century. Some very basic items were priced very high. Great collection of blown glass vases
Liam Egan: Jennie is a brilliant curator of Mid-century furniture and decorations. She knows her stuff and is always happy to talk about what she loves.
Torrey Hoffman: Great collection of mostly mid-century-modern furniture, lights, and decorations. Prices are a bit high, but the condition and quality of pieces is quite good. We got some nice vintage pendant lights and will definitely be back to look again.

Antique Market: what do users think?
Brad White: I love this place
d lo: NO PUBLIC SHOPPING DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Carrie Busch: Pretty cool stuff. Unfortunately didn't have what I was looking for today.
Acceptable Deviation from Perfect: Lots of interesting stuff. Friendly staff. Prices on the high side of... high.
Bashir Hirjee: I've bought a few pieces from them and they are amazing people to deal with and very helpful!!
tina james: Amazing unique pieces with an incredible sale on right now. We have purchased items here before and are always happy with everything.
R. A.: I couldn't decide between two cabinets so the guys working there moved a piece across the store (probably 250lbs) so I could compare. Then they loaded it for me which involved removing a bike rack to get it in the vehicle. Then the one guy put the bike rack back on for me. I felt they went above and beyond. There's so much selection and pieces that are solid, well made and built to last.
George Brown: Great place
Terry Sharpe: Excellent as usual. I will miss this store when it closes
A SL: I have been to almost every antique store in the Lower Mainland and several up in the interior. This place is offensively over priced. If you are looking for true antiques, look elsewhere. There are no nic-nacks. This place has a fantastic selection of high end, restored, pieces but offers little more. It is an air quotes antique store.
Joshua Tyler: Been a great place to work for many years!
S: Really large antique shop just off commercial drive. Lots of larger pieces of furniture(mirrors, tables, cabinets, etc..) with some unique pieces thrown in. A literal ton of iron gates. So many chandeliers and light fixtures. And ducks, so many ducking ducks! Big main floor with a mezzanine with more stuff. Well laid out, and helpful staff.
Eva Linde: My partner and I only stopped by to have a quick look around, but now we became fans. They have a really cool selection of not so standard things. When we were there they had a huge sale so prices were very reasonable. Can't comment on the normal prices. We bought a dining table and a dresser and had it delivered the week later. Delivery was perfectly easy, they were on time, brought up the things and assembled the table for a very reasonable price. We'll actually go back this week to look for more things.
Derrick Bruneau: Awesome experience great furniture 👍
Helen Jordin: Interesting and eclectic collection of furniture, often on sale. Helpful and friendly staff. We have bought multiple pieces of furniture from this place.
Teri Mosher: Amazing selection, great prices and very helpful staff... Love this place. Inventory changes all the time so there's always some new treasure to find
Torrie Villasenor: WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
Stephen Holmes: Can't say enough about how incredible this place is! Not only did they give us an amazing deal on a beautiful dining table and six chairs but they helped us later when we accidentally made a heat stain on the table. They lent us a can of repair spray (free of charge!) and gave us several alternate solutions to the problem, including buying back the table and giving us a discount on a new one. We're are happy to say the table got fixed and we're so lucky to have Antique Market's customer care and attention. It's rare these days but you will be well taken care of here.
Vincent Ting: This place has many old furniture items but the prices are for the real collectors. Certainly, there are many small items save the Coke tin box, the retro door handles and the bells. All of the items are metal-made and are heavy.
Mark Rudolph: Really good experience lots to see and admire. Very helpful staff.
D&M Leach: Beautiful stuff! Huge variety of old and new (to look old). Word of wisomd: their "sale" is always on. Don't feel rushed to buy something. It will still be on sale your next time through.

Verandah Antiques: what do users think?
Zartaj Habib: Nice shop with interesting things. Good to see old world crafts in a single use world. Owner is nice and humble
Jack: Excellent owner who is kind and knows what he’s talking about.
dominique f: You will not go wrong when you step into this shop. Take your time when you enter, be sure to look up. Salman, the owner, has leveraged the space to create layers upon layers of rugs, furniture and antique items for you to explore.Allow him to help you; he is a patient man and he knows his items well. He showed me many fine handwoven carpets, and found a beautiful coffee table for my space. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Dave R: Amazing service and vey kind owner. Found an incredible rug for our home after looking all across the city.
Grace Xiao: Interesting
BBOYZ PRODUCTIONS: Beautiful and quality pieces from the past. Salmon, An individual with great attention to the most lilliputian detail is simply sublime, a jim-dandy man I must say. Every single piece of furniture within my humble abode is a product from this bodacious establishment.
