Dafne Delgado: Poor customer service, my mom attended to get a solution for her hair loss problem, they insisted her a lot to buy an expensive wig, which really didn't have the greatest quality, and as soon as they saw she was not happy with their decision, the staff almost tell her to just leave. We were hoping to have a good attention since they have good reviews, but that was not our experience. Not helpful at all.

Dana Kyle: Last year I was diagnosed with brain cancer and lost all of the hair on the right side of my head from radiation, and it’s pretty sparse in other areas too. I wasn’t sure whether I was ready to invest in a wig but I met with Christina to explore my options anyway. She provided me with both synthetic and human hair options, and even ordered in wigs for me to choose from and try on all while keeping my budget in mind. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and was extremely empathetic to my situation. I told her I had undergone radiation and that my scalp was very sensitive, and she took extra steps to make sure I wasn’t in any pain or discomfort throughout the entire process. Once I had decided on a style, Christina custom coloured the wig for me to reflect my natural hair colour, styled it, and provided me with appropriate products and care instructions. The wig I decided on is fantastic quality and with proper care will last me the rest of my life. I am almost a year out from having finished radiation, and unfortunately my hair has not grown back, but I am so happy that I decided to invest in a wig that looks natural and authentic. Christina was able to give me a wig that makes me feel 100% like myself. If one day my natural hair does grow back, I will definitely be visiting Christina again for a hair cut and style. 110% recommend. I honestly can’t say enough good things about my experience here!

Anika Janzen: I’m an 18 year old girl with alopecia, in the span of the last year I lost all my hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. Hair loss is a touchy subject yet the lack of remorse or care from the workers at JO hair studio is honestly disgusting. As a wig studio you should be able to make people feel comfortable when dealing with hair loss, but it was quite the opposite. I had two wigs from them that both completely fell apart within months, overpriced with awful quality. I have left the store crying in frustration and the lack of communication is unprofessional to say the least. Also have had cameras shoved in my face when uncomfortable. I was told I would get one of my wigs that fell apart back, and then when I asked about it I was told I am making things up. Respectfully you have made my hair loss journey significantly worse and no human should be treated with that little human decency. Especially as a teenage girl, you are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered and I will never be stepping foot in your store again.

Our first stop at another wig store did not go well, so we ventured back to Abantu (I had assumed it had closed down entirely, but it turns out it has only reduced its store size). Staff were excellent! Very attentive, respectful, patient, and kind. We found mum a wig at a reasonable price that she is very happy with. DLH: The only place to go for hair pieces and wigs as their selection is large with many different brands. You can try on any wig with hair protectors provided. If they don’t have it in stock, they will order it in. All hair accessories and products available as well. Prices are not bad, I have only purchased synthetic. Designer/ real hair prices will be higher.Helpful friendly staff.Located on Kingsway by Boundary so parking is a challenge. Small pay parking lot beside, with some free street parking available.

Jenypher McMicheals: I have dealt with the same sales girl for 10 years even when living in Edmonton, she is amazing and the only reason I am giving a one star.I ordered 2 hair pieces, over a year ago and kept getting the run around that they are having issues with their supplier told on numerous occasions different dates I was able to get it online and cheaper was told I had a credit on my account for the issue and nope was told the manager would call me and he never does I have taken my business across the street and online $ was not an issue I was willing to pay more still nothing. I have been a customer since their old location even driving from Alberta to make purchases with them I will never go back unfortunately as they don't care about long time customer's... July 9/ 19 addition.....So I got call back from the manager who was shocked that this had gone on and wanted to make things right I really appreciated it said she would call back in 2 weeks it has now been 4 and heard nothing

Jenna Montroy: Terrible service and even worse quality.My step mom recently went through chemo and purchased a wig through west coast wigs. The owner was super nice on the first visit and when she arranged to come back to have her hair shaved off and wig fitted the owner couldn't have had the time of day for her super sad that this woman had no compassion or empathy for what my step mom was going through that day.Not to mention she was under the impression that the wig she paid $800+ dollars for would be real hair. Being a hairdresser myself I can tell you I am 100% sure that the wig sold to her was NOT real hair and is definitely synthetic hair.You can barely brush the wig it looks like a mess. My step mom has lost all her facial hair now and feels most comfortable wearing a wig which I can totally understand as a women. Usually getting my hair due takes no more than 2hrs but on that day it took double for some reason .. maybe it was a long day I don’t know but one thing I’ll add is the deposit comments I seen on here are true she almost pocketed my deposit too ..so be mindful when you book with her . I wish she would put down the bottle and give her 100% to the business instead of spending her day drinking and trying to fit in with young girls half her age .. time management is an essence it could make or break your business I suggest having more organization and practice good habits and stop drinking … you’re business will thrive & once your daughter brings in her own clientele she won’t have time to help you with yours .. but look on the bright side that’s double the bag so get ready for that and get organized! Blueshade Thewolf: I had a bad experience with this people, I called and tried to make appointment and the communication was awful, the most have favouritism for the already old clients, said they will come me back, and never did, I messaged one more time later on and they looked and my messaged and never replied. Ling Leung: I was on a tight budget and I wanted to buy a fashionable hair wig at a great price, a hair wig that would make me look like a million bucks :)I did a lot of homework and studied many wig shops info and spent many hours on reading reviews.Wow, my hard work paid off when I found Melinda Hair, I read some of the reviews saying Melinda has the best prices in town, massive selections...all sounded like music to me, so I gave Melinda a visit.The owner Charles looked cautious in the beginning, maybe he dealt with thefts before, he followed me closely in the beginning.But after I showed him I was a good kind person, he relaxed and started showing me the best quality ones made in Japan located on the back, he helped me to try out 10 wigs, and I picked 2 that made me look like I just had a high end hair cut and highlight done by a celebrity hair stylist.I showed Charles kindness and he returned with kindness back and taught me the difference between a cheap wig from China and a excellent one from Japan. I realized I was charged triple the price for the lower quality wigs I bought from higher end shops in the past.On top of that Charles gave me his honest opinions, I picked a wig initially but decided to buy an extra one for change, so I tried another 5 wigs, and he would say these 2 look much better on you forget about the first one, just buy these 2, other shop owners will say all look good on me, get them all.I really appreciate Charles knowledge and honest opinions.When I showed him kindness, he returned with kindness and treated me like a good friend.Charles told me he was in this business for 22 years, he was a wholesaler in the beginning thinking it was easier but after being cheated and ripped off by dishonest store owners during his first 10 years, he decided to open his own retail shop and run his own shows, he has close factory contacts from Japan and China and eliminated lots of middle men and can give customers the best selections and prices possible.Ladies I like to give you my best tips:-1. if you are well off and want premium services such as a special appointment with private room, and don't mind paying $300 to $500 more for a wig, go to the high end shops2. Charles run his shop at low profit margin, let's be reasonable and not expect premium services, show him with kindness and respect and you will definitely find fashion wigs at great prices3. if you are on a tight budget like me during this Covid time Melinda Hair will be perfect for you, the shop has more than 200 wigs for you to choose at awesome prices4. like most mall business owners these days, Charles is running his shop as a one man band and cannot afford to hire help, so the best time to come is in the afternoon between 1 pm to 5 pm, I went at 3 pm on Friday, and is perfect5. these small business owners are short of cash, is better to ask for exchange not refund if you change your mind, better confirm with Charles about exchange / refund before you pay6. Charles does give extra discount if you buy more than one7. he will give additional discount if you pay in cash so he saves on credit card fees, and for this reason, I went to TD to get him cash8. if your heart telling you Charles already giving you a great price, don't keep asking for cheaper price, it only shows how greedy you areCharles is a older Chinese man who does not speak perfect English, but who cares as long as I can understand him.With the cash I paid Charles, he joked that he could then afford some nice dumplings for dinner, it just shows how difficult for small business owners during this pandemic time, my good friend runs a laundry shop as a one man band, my friend hardly take a day off and hardly afford nice meals yet his bills keep piling up and never able to get ahead :(So ladies, let's show these small business owners more love and support, stop complaining.The 2 wigs I bought are made in Japan very light and airy, is a piece of Art indeed, I feel like I hit the jackpot :)I am ready to showcase my look to the world, ha ha ha :)

I walk in and a very courteous gentleman pointed me to a huge selection. I thought I had died and went to paradise. His prices are unbeatable. $5 a bag. I was dreading having to go to Surrey to buy hair and now I know where to go every time. I will be back as the prices and selection are comparable to the US hair products stores.

Mimi So: Wow! I was blown away when I stepped into this store, totally by accident because Abantu across the street was closed. Every colour of X-pression that exists can be found here, and that’s not an exaggeration. Solid colours, ombré colours, 2 tone colours. And they are only $5 per bag! Awesome deal! They also have faux dreads in different colors and a lot of weave hair and wigs. The shop owner is very kind, great service. Will be back for sure!

The guy knew everything about wigs and within minutes found exactly what we were looking for at a great price. $250 cheaper than others and this wig was very good quality. We use many wigs on stage for years. We still can't believe we never heard of this place before.

chelsea wong: Thanks to Ritzy Wigs shop I got a really nice extensions and fringe! The lady working at the front desk was very nice and allowed me to try on the wigs, extension and fringe i was looking at. The products I bought were great, they fit my hair color and look natural. The only thing I would be careful of is that the prices aren't really displayed so be careful because the price of some of the wigs easily go in the 100 of dollars, other than that if i ever need wigs or anything like that i know where to go :)
