Alberto White: I’ve got nothing but great things to say about the Laser Cut Café at Maker Labs. The communication was excellent and the speed at which the job was completed was fast as well. I even made a mistake with my order and they found a solution for me to help me fix it.
Ryan Jansonius: Unfortunately a poor experience here.The space is beautiful and the staff friendly, however, communication was painfully slow with email reply wait times around 3 days.Notably, when I came to pick up my project they had lost it. Also, many of the parts I had asked to be laser cut were not cut fully through the acrylic, requiring me to re-cut them (using a different laser cutter).
Carter F: Update: Laser Cutter Cafe's customer service is exceptional! In response to my criticisms, Laser Cutter Cafe actually reached out to offer me a full refund. Although my experience wasn't great this time around, I'm sure that my next order will be improved.Poor communication and higher than expected costs. I only received replies about once a week. When my parts were finally made (three weeks after my initial e-mail), the scale didn't match that of my drawings. They were polite about the mistake, but they didn't inform me of the price increase before moving forward with the order.Be advised that if you're requesting full-service, send your parts in 1:1 scale. I received very little instruction on how these PDF's should be formatted.

We ran into a few hiccups along the way with the type of metal/ size of the locks.But Mike at Arvin was very professional, and quick to help, and fix the issues that arise.We ended up getting the results we wanted, and in the time frame given.All in all a good experience and would use again. Kalia Attal: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I would give this business zero stars if I could, it's a scam! We tried to get some gold engraved and it was completely unprofessional, the words engraved were not even legible! When the owner was contacted he did not offer to fix it and he demanded more money from us. In addition he ended up charging almost double the quoted price of $50. He also refused to refund us and now a very sentimental piece of jewelry is ruined.

Sei Campbell: Not happy with the end result. Was told one thing in the emails leading up to the engraving and received something unsatisfactory. When the issue was brought up, was given a list of reasons of how the problem could have been avoided - none of which were communicated to me before the engraving took place. Communication ended with an email claiming what the engraving “should have cost,” something I would have been happy to pay. Would not recommend.

Leslie Dale: I'd been eyeing the Essentials Adjustable Desk for over a year. This desk is absolutely stunning and worth every penny! I mostly worked with Craig and Ben through out the process and they were very kind and always got back to me in a timely manner. There was a problem with shipping though. Something struck the crate and created a hole that punctured one of the screws holding the up/down mechanism in place. Fortunately, the damage wasn't too bad and I was able to re-screw it with little effort. Although, the transport had little to do with the Union Wood Co., Ben was quick to make the situation right, expressing concern and offering several different possible solutions. And after all that, he sent me a complimentary cutting board, pot scrub brush and some additional screws with an apology. I am thoroughly impressed with both the product and customer service! thatguyfromabove: I had a wooden box that needed engraving. The font had very fine details and they were perfectly rendered in the engraving. The design had a sharp pointed crescent moon that came out sharp. The box was dark wood, so, I hand painted the engraved recesses with silver color. Jeremy had left the mask on the box and it helped a lot with the painting. The whole crew was very helpful and knowledgeable. I am very satisfied with the results.

docsketchy: I had a small engraving job -- a few synthesizer module panels on powder-coated aluminum -- that I need laser engraved. I called them, they gave me a quote, and I took the panels down. They were super nice, super chill, the price was right, and the job was done exactly right. When I went to pick them up, they gave me a little tour of their facilities at my request, and we chatted about some other things I might have them do. They are really great to work with, and this job was completely hassle-free and done perfectly. I will definitely be giving them all of my engraving business in the future.One thing, though: when you go there, make sure you Google-map it and note the address, because the outside of the business is completely unmarked except for the suite number.

I loved the idea of using reclaimed wood in our space and all items ordered were just stunning. We had a hallway bench, king sized bed, numerous floating shelves, desk and double vanity made - all custom exactly to our designs and liking. We love the natural variation of the wood and seeing the previous lives lived in it, while it still looking high quality and beautiful. I can't imagine buying wood furniture from a box store ever again. They are my go-to now and well worth the price - great value, great services, great quality. Eden Chan: I love the idea of the company. The idea of workers running and can be proud of their work, and using recycled materials for the environment.Unfortunately maybe it doesn't really always work out so ideally. Because I cannot see how one can be satisfied if this was their own work.I had my kitchen counter done by Wood Shop a year ago. Let alone the slow communication, which is quite common among all trades, the quality is... you can see for yourself in the pictures.The counter top was so bad I had to ask them to redo it. ( it was uneven , bumpy with lots of holes which is very bad for food prep / clesning)They replaced it after a long while, but the varnish was still peeling and it didn't even fit. Both sides have a obvious gap.And that was the end of the project. (As shown in pictures)After a year of looking at this, finally I have to make up my mind and pay for another company to help me demolish this whole thing and I'm going to just get an ikea kitchen, unfortunately.We just cannot afford to spend a lot more after spending thousands of dollars on this project but having to pay and demolish and redo it again.And I loved the idea of reclaimed wood too, but I'm really sad now I have to just end up with more waste because this whole counter is going to go to waste now.Service:Cabinet construction installation

Neighbourhood Roots: It is just so darn empowering to look around your living room and say, I made that beautiful piece of furniture! And, knowing that the materials came from what would have been discarded wood, is extra fulfilling too. I get so many compliments on the chevon-style dining table. I live in a small apartment so it's my desk, craft and dining table in one, and after 4 years it still looks impeccable. Will be holding on to this sturdy table for life!

Steve Mynott: This is by far one of the best customer service experiences I have had in a very long time.It took weeks for other companies to reply to my emails, it took times of up to 3-4 weeks to get any plexi-glass done for my portable A/C.Addel replied to my email immediately when I first reached out to Klo Lab, and was very kind and compassionate to everything I needed.After dropping my ventilation kit off, I was told it would take at least 5 business days. I emailed Addel and asked if there was anyway this could be sooner because of the heat and my family and I were struggling through it. Immediately I got a reply saying he would speed up the process and I could pick it up the next business day.As I mentioned to Addel, this is the kind of customer service that is missing, and I am very grateful that it still exists. I will be directing any and all business towards them, and would high recommend you look no further than Klo Lab.

Reached out to Hopewell Works and Jarami said no problem, he would test it out and we would go from there.
