Anne Dublin: I've stayed twice at the Kitsilano (Studio) Garden Suite and enjoyed my stay both times. The suite is clean, comfortable, and convenient to stores and transit. There are various amenities that I appreciate--WiFi access, local phone service, washer and dryer, and a well-supplied kitchen. The queen-size bed is comfortable, as are the couch and chair. The large TV and fireplace work well and are easy to use. An added bonus is the garden area--a quiet, private oasis. All in all, I'd recommend this suite to anyone who wants to stay in the beautiful Kitsilano area of Vancouver.

Graham Peterson: **DO NOT BUY PLANTS FROM HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES**We bought one plant from here and it was rife with spider mites, it completely decimated all of our plants we own, expensive ones, ones we’ve had for years with no problems. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. There is no way they have that under control at the store, and I doubt they spray them at all.Save yourself days of headache trying to save your plants and never buy any plants from here EVER.
Moira Casey: I tried to contact HD to find out if a curtain rod I wanted to order was able to be installed on the ceiling. "Customer Service" contacted me 3 days later to let me know that they could only help me if I wanted to order custom window coverings with installation. Unbelievable.

Charlene Myers: To the sweet older gentleman who sold me my air conditioner 10+ years ago, I have never forgotten you! It is because of you I survive every summer. I was in a greenhouse worthy sweltering apartment at the time and this man was amazing. Along with his professionalism, he went full Dad mode, full of care and empathy, and treated me like family and pointed me in the right direction, and gave me hot tips how to get the most out of my A/C. Sadly I have totally forgotten his name, but its never too late for a good review. So wherever you are, thank you! :)
D: Parking at this place is next to impossible!You must take a parking ticket when you arrive Try to find a parking spot in this very crammed and dark underground parkade Remember to present the ticket at the store checkout if you want to have the cost credited off your purchase Then don’t forget to pay for the parking at these inconspicuous machines in the underground parking area (that is if you still have the ticket and remember which pocket you put it in, otherwise be prepared to pay $25) Remember to retrieve your ticket from the machine and take it with you Find your car and drive out through the barriers which will only open if you insert a paid parking ticket.And heaven help you if you slipped up on any of the above procedure - you’ll be trapped in your car at the barrier gates unable to get out with horns honking behind you.On top of this, they have coated the floor of the parking area with this sticky paint that causes car tires to loudly screech on rainy days every time you turn the wheel. When the lot is busy, as it usually is, you need hearing protection to prevent your ears from being blasted with this multi-tire screeching sound that reverberates throughout this cavernous space.

The machine says my key is not of any key type. Helen R: I just want to say that I experienced exceptional service at the Home Depot, Terminal Ave., Vancouver today. When I asked for directions, I was taken to the place where the plants were, and Olive, bless her heart, she actually loaded in my topsoil for me. Everyone was in a very customer service oriented mood, and it was a real pleasure to shop there. The choices of plants were abundant and they were all good quality. However, the prices have gone up quite substantially since last summer. It is still my “go to” place for home gardening materials.

JunadiJuna: I went in to purchase a hose for a a/c I purchased. I took a photo of the hose with a tape measure across it. I looked everywhere, then a store employee (Wing) came up to me and said Are you finding what you are looking for? I say I t h i n k soooo. I show him the photo and he tells me about the a/c I purchased, and that there are more parts missing than I realize. After saying this, he shows me how to improvise and what will work. Shows me how to connect it all too! A whole instruction class right there!!!I got home, and followed his instructions and WOW I am living in coolness thanks to Wing!
Eugenia Lozovoy: Saw the totally ripped bag of cement. Asked for discount, was refused , called for a manager and after a long-long discussion was given 30% discount.Usually in Home Depot or other home stores at least 50% off the retail price goes without saying for a ripped packaging.Different code of conduct? Was vey disappointed at the store.

Gordie Greer: This has been the worst customer service experience ever. I wanted two chairs, that they said they had in stock. Had to wait 45 minutes, then they suddenly could only find one. Then they said they’d ship the other. They brought us to the till, and it took them 30 minutes to figure out how to do what they said, then I just left. These guys are awful, I will never go back.

Wayne Essar: I drove 40 minutes from a city nearby to purchase 4 Fiskars harvesting knives.The inventory online showed 11 items in stock.Three staff members looked faithfully.On my second visit to customer service a young person with a badge reading "Trainee" solved this 1 (one) hour riddle in 45 seconds by saying "none had been sold in the last two months so the inventory number was incorrect" Thank you! to "Trainee" but why was no one else able to access that information.Not wishing to waste a trip, I bought a couple of 3.8 cubic foot peat moss bails.The kind cashier called three times for loading help in fifteen minutes and then saw a person and approached them personally to help. They did not wish to but another person was found.Thank you to the self serve cashier for her hard work on my behalf.
Sunny: Waste of time driving here.Really awkward and uncomfortable customer service- all three people I spoke to managed to be rude, dismissive or clueless (or all three) and then argued among themselves. I left without what I came for and won’t be going back.

Three staff around me we "busy" organizing the shelfs. Save your time and go to Home Depot. Got instant service here and was in and out in 5 minutes. No wonder there were no customers in Lowes.
ET: Slow, clueless and unprofessional.Good luck trying to find a staff in customer service. if you do, most staff seem to operate at 0.5x speed.The staff also kept speaking Hindi in front of a caucasian customer and was making fun of her returning a 2 dollar product and the way she dressed.At the self-checkout, the staff seem more interested to play with her phone than to actually help customer out.
D Y: Average home improvement super store. There's never enough staff when you need to ask a question, and for the inexperienced, it's hard to find items in such a big place. The prices are okay, but not the best.

I turned around and there were 30 units on the floor right behind us. Not cool. Then I ask the ladies behind the counter if anyone could help me. No 1 showed up. 1 of the employees walked by, but he tried to help. Didn't know much about them. He could tell me the price. You guys have to get the managers out on the floor to help people out. Not in the back taking stock. Sad

I found a worker (unfortunately I didn't get her name) but she was amazing I asked if I could barrow her phone to call my dad and she let me but my dad didn't pick up so, the lady brought me inside, she put my goalie gear in a cart and brought me some water. she was so calm and just took me to customer service. she took such good care of me until my dad came. I am super impressed with this store and I am so grateful that this store has some amazing people working there. this store was outstanding with their customer care and trained just so well. I will be returning again as a future customer again. 5 STARS!!!

Whenever I’ve come here for whatever product I find the staff very helpful, the prices are much cheaper than other places and they have a huge selection.Now that the garden works store in North Vancouver is closed I came here and discovered that they have the BEST prices on their huge selection of pots, flowers, soil etc.They do need to change their entrance though. For those with disabilities it’s a huge pain to go all the way around to one entrance. It makes more sense to have multiple entrances to welcome people into the store.
D X: Faye in the kitchen section was extremely helpful in helping me with moen faucet cartridge replacement. I called the store last Friday, Faye took the call and the cartridge was out of stock, so she said she will follow up with me when the cartridge is in. Surely, she notified me about the cartridge availability 6 days later. So I picked up the cartridge the same day, in talking to her at the store, I found she is also very knowledgeable about the products. Faye demonstrated true excellent customer service in going an extra mile for me. I recommend her and home depot store at West Vancouver. Thank you, Faye!

If you came across their listings on the Craiglist avoid it, as they set the timing for their showings and them you pre-plan to view a place and then they cancel it. If you are giving a place to other people then stop setting showing times before hand. How come you are wasting other people’s time?

Preetam Dasgupta: We had taken rental properties from BirdsNest. While returning the security deposit, they kept on adding charges one after another and did NOT return the security deposit still. Beware of taking any rental properties from them as they will try NOT to return any security deposit amount and do complete renovation of apartments at your cost. We already lost 500$ to them from security deposit and most likely they will NOT return anything from deposit.

Daniela Cisternas: BAD VIEWING arrangements EXPERIENCE (they're saying they called us, nobody called before the viewing, if anything I called, and , the phone operator said it should have been informed via email anyways , so their answer is not real)I wanted to leave a 0-star review in our experience with this agency. I think this is the second time we see a listing from you for a price, book a viewing, and you updated the price by $500 increase in the listing (which is fine, owners can change the price whenever they want, my problem is not the price) , but nobody would inform or notify you of these changes for us to qualify if we are still interested after such a big increase.We blocked time in our calendars from work, we lose time and money, to find out last minute that the rent was $3,500 for the 1BR we booked, when it was originally priced at $3,000.The agent should at least do the job of notifying us of these changes so we don't waste our time . It's the minimum to also qualify the leads for the owners (to someone who's actually looking for something within the price range)The trick of changing price and not notifying viewers, is just a sign of disrespect towards our most valuable asset: time. We ended up canceling our viewing.Ps. It was arranged by my partner Corentin.

I was reluctant to hand care of our investment over to someone else but they have been exceptional caretakers. They started by choosing a great tenant with whom we have had no problems. Birds nest deals with any and all tenant queries in a timely but also a cost effective way - trying to solve a deficiency before simply throwing money at it. Great communication. They have also been more than accommodating when it comes to giving us extra access to inspect to satisfy insurance company expectations. Considering a second Vancouver investment now that we have found a reliable caretaker. Highly recommended

I happened to stumble across a listing posted by Bird’s Nest and was able to navigate their amazing website to promptly book a viewing, submit and application with all supporting documents, all within about 20 minutes!When we arrived at the viewing, the agent Belva was already there and greeted us warmly, showed us the beautiful (accurate to photos) suite, took us on a building tour and followed up promptly after the meeting to answer a few follow up questions we had.Within 2 days (including a weekend) we received a call that we’d been pre-approved and the ensuing process to get all documents finalized has been easy as pie. I visited the Ikea store and unintentionally purchased a product I did not want. Realizing my mistake on the same day, I promptly returned to the store seeking assistance. I spoke with the customer service manager, who initially assured me that she would cancel the purchase the following day. However, this turned out to be an empty promise.My concern was regarding the delivery of the product in question. I inquired about the possibility of the item being delivered before the cancellation took place. To my dismay, the customer service manager informed me that Ikea would pick up the unwanted item. This assurance gave me some hope that my predicament would be resolved without any additional inconvenience or financial burden on my part.However, my interactions with Ikea's support team have been nothing short of exasperating. I have spent a considerable amount of time engaging in an hour-long chat session with a representative, only to be informed at the end that she is unable to solve my problem and that I must be transferred to another department. To my astonishment, she revealed that the said department was already closed, leaving me with a problem unresolved and a feeling of being deceived.Moreover, it is utterly unacceptable that Ikea is now charging me for the pickup of the couch, despite the fact that this entire predicament arose due to the mistake made by the store itself. If this is how IKEA runs this way to make money after their great loss after pandemic,this is pathetic

It was important for me to find a knowledgeable store that could guide me in selecting the right products and brands, as it can be overwhelming to make these decisions for the first time. The staff at Active Baby exceeded my expectations and provided me with exceptional assistance.Recently, I returned to the store to purchase a jogging stroller for my boyfriend, and once again, the staff went above and beyond to help me. They even assembled the stroller for me and carried it to my car, saving me the hassle of dealing with a box and a newborn at the same time.I highly recommend Active Baby to any new mom. Their staff is well-trained and knowledgeable about their products. I was impressed to learn that the staff member who assisted me had tested out all the jogging strollers herself, despite not having a child, just so she could provide relevant advice to customers. Their A+++ service also includes storing your receipt on file for easy returns. I cannot praise this store enough for their outstanding service.

Beatrice Elford: Ordered online on black friday and two weeks passed and my order had not been fulfilled and since I live across the country I tried to reach out multiple times by email and through the contact page on their website to see if my items would make it for Christmas and received no replies. I finally was able to get ahold of someone by phone and explained everything and the customer service agent was completely unphased like this is the norm for the company. I asked her to cancel my order and she did with no hassle thankfully. Still have never heard back by email 4+ weeks later.
Kristen Courtney: Ordered online, as I live out of town. Two and a half weeks after ordering, it still hadn't shipped (showed "awaiting fulfillment"), so I began trying to reach them. I've sent four emails and left two voicemails and no one has got back to me (it's been nearly a month since they charged my credit card!). I've managed to speak to a staff person twice, and they only tell they don't know why it hasn't shipped and to call and leave and message for the warehouse. I'm now two days from flying out of province for the holidays and don't have boots for my toddler (which means I have to drive 2.5h into town to try to find some). I've explained the urgency in my messages, and still nothing. Spare yourself the headache and shop somewhere with even a tiny bit of respect for their customers. Appalling customer service.
