Teresa Ford: AMAZING SERVICE, AMAZING FOOD, LOVELY PEOPLE, you will not be disappointed if you go here.
Janell Natekar: Food: I had been bragging to my family and friends about Le Crocodile since the first time I went there, so it was a bit sad to see some of them disappointed by their meals. My partner wasn't impressed by the large piece of cauliflower in a literal pool of olive oil for his appetizer, or the spinach drenched in oil with his salmon, to the point he had difficulties with eating it. My mother ordered a ribeye medium rare, and it came mostly well done to nearly overcooked in sections. There were a few misses for sure with some of the meals. But the others were just as rich and excellent as I remembered, and their specials were not to be missed! Here was the best of what we had:Appetizers: They had a white asperagus that v had been imported with a little seafood topping and sauce; my mother complained that the portion was small for the price, but the flavours were out of this world and I hadn't experienced anything quite like this sweet and savoury dish. My escargots were delicious as usual, and this is one of my favourite places for them (though there was a general concensus that there can never be enough garlic). The frogslegs were so delicious with a little sauce that really made then. The deep fried lobster was delicious; I'd never have thought to do that with such a delicacy and it was very good! Some must tries, all of them!Main dishes: I highly recommend that you get their special on the venison of you're going there soon! The sauce was rich and the meat was so tender! The veal was also an excellent choice from their main menu and had a thick and creamy sauce as well. I personally enjoyed the lamb shank and the truffle gnoochi, a strong rich flavour and very filling.Dessert: they started us with a small pear palate cleanser that was so delicious! And then finished with a chocolate crocodile that was very professional. I also had the meringue souffle with creme anglais. It was so nice, fluffy, and comparatively light after a rich meal, I highly recommend it!White Wine: I generally love a very sweet and smooth white wine, and their gerwurtztraminer hit the spot! I'm picky and this was so delicious, several others at the table also picked it up.Overall, if I wanted to save up and plan a special event here again, I would! Really delicious, still one of my favourite places I've eaten! Be prepared for the price, but I nearly had to be rolled out of there by the end of the meal. Very satisfying.Service: We had a large group of people booked in advance, and the table was ready for us as soon as we walked up. Please note: the cost of the reservation funds will be returned directly to your credit card, not removed from the bill the table, so you can more easily book through one person and pay separately. They were excellent with their service, and meeting requests for a caraffe of water for the table and replacement small plates and removing an alcoholic dressing on one their pallette cleansers. One drink was missed later on in the night, but they were good to apologize and made sure not to include it on the bill. They managed odd pairs of people paying and a restaurant gift card without any issue. They did an excellent job overall, and were a real pleasure to deal with.Parking: we parked at the lot across the street under the Scotiabank theater, about $8 for the evening after 6pm. Good for a carpool and a full evening.
Doretha Son: The wait staff was very nice. They were training some new people and were busy, but they made sure we were taken care of promptly. The food was good.
Kev N: Incredible food, service and ambiance. Always a must visit when in Vancouver with the familyScallop and lobster tempura dish is a must try. Duck with fois gras and pan seared scallops are so so good! Love the white asparagus special as well. The frites, pear sorbet and crocodile chocolate bites afterwards is the cherry on top of the whole experienceYou truly feel the traditional french dining experience from start to finish. Great wine selection as well and they are very accommodating

Gregory Feder: Simply the least pretentious and finest dining Vancouver has to offer. Always a pleasure. As impressive as their cuisine is the fact that their servers memorize daily specials that take them minutes to relay. Where I choose to celebrate my birthdays. Try the lobster tempura and scallop endive salad, it's superb.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Shoestring Fries, Pan Seared Foie Gras with Sea Scallops, Veal Medallions, Lobster Bisque …More
Sasha K: Le crocodile is a true 5 star fine dining experience; the table settings and greetings into the restaurant alone are always immaculate. From every detail of the service to food, dining here is always top tier. I truly appreciate the wine list and their sommeliers experience in serving and pairing the wines with dinner. The food is also always as exceptional as the service and atmosphere. The foie gras crème brûlée is a standout as well as the frogs legs, escargot, and wagyu steak. Though, all dishes are exceptional and make traditional French delicacies seem more approachable. My only critique from my most recent visit would be the accompanying toast to the steak tartare. The bread was very reminiscent of sliced white bread toast and was not the most enjoyable. A nice crostini or crouton would have been better in my opinion. All in all, le crocodile is a standout in Vancouver’s fine dining scene and a must try.

Lazarus Shaak: Had an absolutely wonderful night here with my family! Going somewhere like this is so, so special for me, as it's not something I can usually afford. The servers (especially Tim!) were so attentive, generous, and friendly. Food was just amazing. I really recommend this place for great food, wine, atmosphere, and an all around lovely experience.

Anna Blixhavn: Best food in BC. Highest quality staff I've ever encountered. A must do! If was on my bucket list forever, so glad I did it! Authentic French cuisine from French servers and chefs. J Y: A very good meal where the flavours blend very well together. The tartare was excellent as was the onion tart and the classic tomato soup. Lamb shank was very good and scallops very fresh. My only displeasure was the souffle as it was not light and airy. It was very foamy and had strong egg taste unless to mixed it with the creme anglais. Service was impeccable. We very much enjoyed the dinner and will be returning in the future.
Dima Mekhlis: My favorite restaurant!
Alan W.: Absolutely phenomenal food and service every time! I recently celebrated a birthday here and brought my own cake. The hostess advised that there would be a plating fee of $4.50 per person. Fair enough, it is a hassle for the restaurant to deal with this. They plated the cake and used piping to decorate the plates with chocolate and caramel swirls. They also garnished the plate with mint and whipped cream! Wow! So impressed. The food of course was fantastic.

Blue Water Cafe: what do users think?
Sean Wiebe: The food, service and ambiance was awesome. While on the expensive side it is absolutely worth it for a special occasion.
Pippa: Very good, but not too sure it’s worth the price. More of a place to be seen in terms of the cost.
Hans Moon: Nice food and friendly staff that would go the extra mile to accommodate for specific dietary requirements.Vegetarian options: Good selection of salads soups and other veggie optionsDietary restrictions: I told staff I can't have food items mixed/cooked with alcohol, they checked what I can have and asked the chef to change the sauce for one item, kudos for helpful staff.
Evan: Doesn't get much better than fresh and well prepared seafood platter and sashimi on the patio! Liam especially stood out with excellent service. Having previously been a chef, he was very knowledgeable and efficient. Definitely added to a fun night!
Bob A: amazing food and service. definitely top end but worth it. took a group of business colleagues here and the experience was very memorable
Amy Kiesenwetter: The food is unreal, but the service is outstanding!! Adam is the bartender to see. I was in the mood for a Margarita... And not the spicy one on the menu (also delicious)... So I asked him to mix up something cool and unique. I have no idea what was in it, but it was spectacular! I love walking into a restaurant and having the ability to talk to knowledgeable staff that follow through with delicious items!! That is why we all go out to these places, right!!?? Thank you, Adam!!
Holly Schroedter: Awesome experience here. No complaints. Service was superb, food was amazing. Would 10/10 recommend.

Lucie In the sky: My favorite restaurant in Vancouver. Service and quality of the food is always on point and has been consistent over the years.
Pablo Santos: I had probably one of my best dinner experiences last night. The restaurant was elegant and cozy, with a beautiful atmosphere. The food was delicious and creative, with a variety of dishes to suit different tastes and preferences. I especially enjoyed the Kobe style shortribs, the fish and the chocolate cake. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made me feel welcome and comfortable. I want to give a special shout-out to Adrien, who was my guide for the night. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list, and he gave me great recommendations based on my preferences. He was also very charming and witty. He really went above and beyond to make my night memorable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a 5 star dining experience in Vancouver. It is worth every penny and more.
HJ Marshall: We were there for a wedding. It has a cozy room for the special event. The food was great, the service was awesome and the couple got married. It was a perfect night.
Tess Filling: Staff were wonderful, drinks were great, and the raw bar dishes were delicious. The tsunami dish (pictured) was so perfectly balanced. We will be back during our next trip to Vancouver.Recommended dishes Ahi Tuna Tataki …More
Pamela Key: An exceptional experience with the highest quality ingredients and flavours. The service we received here should have provided us with a seven star option to select. Above and beyond. Thank you to the entire team, from start to finish absolutely incredible. We cannot wait to return.
Winston Mew: A delicious dinner with excellent service from Liam. A great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The seafood plateau was a tasty appetizer sized just right for 2 people. Just love the special fork they have to aid diners with the assorted oysters, mussels, clams, and other tasty treats. The halibut was firm and juicy, and although the steak was medium rather than the medium-rare we requested, it was still juicy and very tasty. We didn’t leave much room for desert, so settled for tasty strawberry & raspberry lemon tarts. Highly recommended for a memorable night out.

Forage: what do users think?
Lily Na: Come for brunch today! Food and service were great!
Joanna R: I had an excellent, hearty breakfast here, as I would not get lunch due to travelling at lunchtime.I had the bison hash with sauerkraut, kale, eggs and toast, it was delicious. I felt it was let down by Forage not having freshly ground pepper; the only pepper option was ground in a little shaker; this is a curious decision given the attention to curing meats in-house, and making fresh sourdough etc.If you are in Vancouver and want a hearty, well-prepared breakfast Forage is worth a visit. When I am next in Vancouver I will quite likely eat breakfast here again.
N G: Dog well inside enclosed patio with regular leash, clearly not a service or guide dog - wandering around and sniffing. What other rules is your hotel/restaurant ignoring?Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Maira Malik: Went for brunch this morning, the waitress spilled a bowl of berries on me. I was very shocked she didn’t help to clean it, they did not compensate me at all, or do anything to make up for the mishap. We were also constantly waiting on things even though they were fairly slow at the time we were there.
R. Schubert: Start to finish, front to back, great experience on every level and vegetarian friendly! If you are like me, farm-to-table is your go-to criteria for eating in a region you have not been to. For this reason, I picked out Forage for a family dinner during my first visit to Vancouver. Everything we had was just varying degrees of amazing. We started with the Cast Iron Pan Bread which is served in the cast iron. It is warm, sweet and savory, made with local cheddar and spicy honey. It is somewhere in between a mini Detroit style pizza and a sweet fried bread like an apple fritter. From the starters, I assume you should try everything, but do not miss the cast iron bread.Next up we ordered a trio of mains: Mushroom Steak, Pork Crépinette (our one meat dish), and the gnocchi. All three may be the best version of each that I have eaten. The mushroom steak was perfectly tender. Lion’s mane over a celeriac puree with mushroom jus. Topped with crispy onion rings for some crunch. I have a love-hate relationship with mushrooms and this dish is way over on the love side. Two out of my top three all time meat-eating experiences have involved a farm-to-table pork sausage, and Forage’s Crépinette is one of them. The pork crépinette is divine. The loin part is tender and juicy, and the ground sausage is on another level all together. It was topped with an excellent peppercorn sauce as well as a parsley coulis and an apple purée. Three sauces is bold, especially when sausage brings so much flavor to the table but this whole dish was perfectly balanced. Everyone who tried it was blown away.Lastly we had the gnocchi. They were pillowy and soft, topped with brown butter crumb for some crunch and tossed in a delicious nettle cream. The Alpindon cheese also brought some nutty flavor to the dish.To round it all out we had the whiskey spiked vegetables as a side. This was a fine plate of roasted carrots and parsnips. Not that we needed more food, but they rounded out the meal. Finally, against some protest from very full and content diners, I ordered the spice cake to share for the table. This was possibly one of the best desserts I have ever had. The cake was perfectly moist, topped with pickled apples, buttermilk gel, candied orange zest (which blew all of our minds), and a pecan crumble for crunch. Surrounding the cake was an orange custard that we almost came to blows over. I cannot sing this dessert’s praises enough. Our service was fantastic. We were here on a Saturday night and never once felt like we were rushed or off pace with the meal. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful and really made the whole experience great for each of us.Eat at Forage. I know I will return when I am back in Vancouver.Vegetarian options: There are lots of delicious vegetarian options on this menu. We had a great meal and ordered just one dish with meat for the table (out of six).
Romain Pire: It was very good !!
Haritos Kavallos: Spent a few days at the Listel Hotel and Forage was recommended to me by several folks. The restaurant has a nice modern feel, the staff were welcoming and helpful in their recommendations. If you are into locally sourced and sustainable foods, Forage might be up your alley! I should also mention…. Their sourdough pan bread is an absolute treat and definitely a must if you visit (it’s great as an appetizer or dessert!).
Helen Gaughran: Amazing food and ambiance and our brilliant server Hershey gave us fantastic recommendations on what to do in Whistler!
Linda Lloyd: Amazing! Wonderful food; excellent service from the server, bar service and the general manager. Probably the best meal I’ve ever had from New York to Sydney. Excellent. Not even words can describe. So glad friend’s recommended!
Shahram Rahili: The food was very delicious, the portion was large. Dale is one of the most helpful and friendly servers I ever had. Thanks,Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes House Corned Bison Brisket Hash Fried Eggs Chopped …More
Jeffrey Robinson: We used to come for celebratory dinners pre-pandemic, and came back for one more tonight and left after appetizers, and hungry. The food didn’t disappoint, except the gluten free option for the carpaccio. Freezer burnt udis bread, even rice crackers from no-frills would have been a better option, but honestly at your price point we expect better. My partner decided to endure tomorrow’s pain of gluten in the really tasty sourdough crisps, instead of tonight’s pain of eating the horrible toast. We decided to sit at the bar, because we appreciated the product knowledge and friendly service Forage bartenders have provided us in previous visits. Tonight was a bust - the bartender was abrasive with us, we felt as though we were putting him out by sitting there. We’ve never had a bartender need to warm up to us, this was a first. He did have a great product knowledge and was cheerful, but he saved that for his co-workers. To top things off, he put his hands down his pants at least 20 times to adjust his shirt - is that even food safe?We had a couple of drinks each and three small plates for $150. Honestly, had the service been better our bill would likely have been more than double and his tip significantly larger. Forage and the bartender lost out tonight.Peter the general manager came over to introduce himself early in the (almost) dinner. It was a nice touch, had his standard of service been matched by staff, the night might not have ended up in a stop at McDonalds on our walk home. FYI, the service at McDonalds was much more friendly.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free substitutes were not up to the same standard as the rest of the food.
Stephen Yeung: Update: Peter and his team did a great job reaching out and making sure our second visit was high quality. The food and service was much better and more prompt this time. I'll be back again.Had higher hopes for Forage. 30 mins after we ordered the server told us there was a "glitch" and the order didn't get submitted. We waited a long time for food and they didn't comp anything for the long wait. Food was decent for the price, but not great.
Alois Callemyn: I hate giving a bad review, but this restaurant is the worst place I’ve been to for breakfast. The service is very bad. Our waitress didn’t come very quickly and then couldn’t speak English. She then took forever to bring us coffee. Most restaurants I’ve been to for breakfast greet you with coffee. We then had to flag down someone to ask for a coffee refill. Food came out after a short wait, but no salt and pepper offered. The staff seemed overwhelmed and the tables were way to close, the loud conversation from the couple sitting less than 2’ away was very disturbing.Again, I hate giving a bad review (98% of my reviews are 4+) but feel that future visitors need to be warned.
Robert Werner: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Ches Lysov: An amazing food. Beautiful dishes, very knowledgeable, helpful great service.I'm in love with the mushroom + mashed potatoes dish. Also the ability to try the great variety of wines from BC - is great.Definitely will come back when next time in Vancouver.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jaein Y: Worth the price! Gnocchi was the best choice for my 2 years old son.
Steven Xu: Food 5/5Service 5/5Excellent pork belly benedict, and French toast, the boba on top was bland in the middle, would prefer syrup ots instead.
Chris McCloud: Seasonal local menu. Food was lovely and service was great. Friendly atmosphere. If you want to try something different try the bison board. The marrow was probably the best I have ever had. Vegetables were well cooked but still crisp and the bison cheek and steak as tender as could be. Pork was delicious. Will definitely return again Thank you.
Nick Villanti: Had a great Easter brunch with the family. Was able to get a reservation for 6 without issue (we did book a week in advance). Due to the holiday they did request we be done in 75 minutes for the next party.Great drinks and food. I had the whiskey latte and the pork belly Benedict. Highly recommend. Family also had the pancakes, which they loved as well.
Rain Korab: Excellent brunch! It slaps every time and the service makes me giggle.

Hawksworth Restaurant: what do users think?
Maya Bourgi: Me and my boyfriend tried the tasting menu. Hands down the best meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Must try! We’ll be back when we visit Vancouver again :)

Sandy Zhou: Leaving an extra star for the crème brûlée which was actually tasty. The presentation was there, as was the service but everything felt like a twilight zone episode - the appearance of good food but no taste, the appearance of good service but no warmth, the appearance of good decor but no ambience. Honestly felt like I was sitting in an alien spaceship pretending to be a restaurant. The food was extremely bland. I added salt and pepper every bite cause I couldn’t taste anything. Then the service kinda felt like the movie The Menu - incredibly attentive but no warmth. Almost as if management whips employees into a state of docility. And the decor! Expensive I’m certain but I felt like I was sitting in Homesense. What I’m impressed with is how do you charge fine dining prices for something so… cheap? Like dude c’mon I get better service and food at the hole in the wall mom and pop shop down on Davie Street. I pay the same prices at Elisa and Blue Water and they are far better. What’s interesting is we love our Hawksworth cookbook. The recipes in there are super tasty. But what the heck happened to the restaurant? This is our first time and last time.
Can Comertoglu: Good atmosphere and service. Great wine list. Delicious but smaller portions.Overall worth a try if you're in the area.
Niall Jones: Hawksworth is a restaurant that is recommended on various lists, is very expensive and has some awards. In my opinion, the meal/experience here does not live up to any of the above. The food certainly is not bad, in fact it is nice! But is it good enough for you to ever talk about it again? Or recommend to friends afterwards as somewhere they just gotta try? No. It’s fairly lackluster. The restaurant had no vibe, no atmosphere. The food was standard and uninspired, albeit very well made and high quality. The service was friendly but ultimately nothing to write home about.Honestly, save your money and go elsewhere. Our experience was by no means negative but we had so many other way better meals and dining experiences for less money and we felt that dining at Hawksworth represented, disappointingly, money and time that could have been spent elsewhere.
Samantha P: A long standing institution in the city, situated in Hotel Georgia in downtown Vancouver.Hawksworth had a lot of fanfare when first opened, and was one of the restaurants that were top notch and fine dining.Over the year, their reputation has slipped, possibly due to other competitors with similar approaches and style of dining service.I went recently with friends and Hawksworth did not disappoint. However, it also did not impress.Service was thorough and attentive. This is what carries the restaurant to this day, most, in my opinion.Food though is not spectacular. They no longer offer a wagyu beef burger but do have their house burger which is good but runs on the salty side.Decor and restaurant setup are beautiful and great for a date night or special occasion. The food just isn't worth the hype or price.Would return, since mussels are good. They also do a great brownie.
Kathryn Peries: Food was not satisfactory at all and kitchen manager (Dom?) was extremely rude when I complained about my fish smelling like it had spoiledFood: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Bruce Fullerton: Great service and delicious food really enjoyed the night would go back again for sure!
Harry Granger: We had a fantastic evening. Great food and fantastic service from the staff who helped us celebrate our honeymoon. Thank you!
Amir Taghiakbari: Great taste
Jenny Anderson: Had a birthday dinner here.Food was pretty good, but the portion was so tiny.Just beware, order more food if you are hungry^^
Scott A: Lunch was incredible, service was even better. Patrick was one of the best waiters we have ever had. Worth the visit for sure, food and cocktails were all amazing!
Karim Burnaby: Very disappointing. I received a Easter Menu via email. We went specially for the halibut dish and to our surprise they did not have it o. The menu. We showed the assistant manager the Easter special email to honor the the promo. It took 45 min to get our food and they were nit even busy in the dining room. To boot We got chicken instead of halibut Then the manager had the audacity to show us the menu again to indicate there is no halibut on the menuVery disappointed!
V P: First time here, but other than the Caviar, other dishes didn’t impress me. Ribs and lamp shoulder are both too lean in my opinion, even though they are falling apart, but they’re too lean so they tasted very dry, needs a bit more fat to add flavour. The East Coast oysters were even smaller than Kusshi oysters, and I’ve been to the East Cost, most oysters were big and plump. Other dishes were just standard, no wowing factor. Not worth it for the price.
James Koh: Great customer service and outstanding of quality food
K.T.: One of best restaurant in Vancouver and would love to keep coming back. Special thank you to Patrick for treating us extra special and delivering a first class customer service experienced. I highly recommend this restaurant and also look for Patrick and ask him to serve you. He will never disappoint you.

Mina: Such a great experience. The meal was amazing, the staff were so friendly, and the flavours were top notch.
Veronnica: Absolutely amazing food. They were also very good with my food allergies. Not only was I accommodated I had flavorful and amazing food. Went for brunch, which is hard to get my egg, dairy, and gluten allergy accommodated but it was amazing. They have an amazing gluten free bread, without egg and dairy.Their bacon and apple side was the most incredible bacon I’ve had in forever. Must get.Was told their dinner menu is extremely gluten free, dairy free, and egg free friendly.
Brenda W: Service was very good. However the mussels were so-so. Some mussels were overcooked, some smelled fishy (not fresh), some stringy and some fresh. Not sure what happened.
Sandeep Dhaliwal: Good food.
Kate Blackwood: perfect perfect perfect, what could be improved? absolutely nothing. their waffles? show stopping, met with great service and a cute area. Doesn’t seem too busy either, but it’s always nice to make a reso just incase
Jo B: The moule frites is my favourite dish of all time! A must get. The sour dough is also tasty. I love that they have mocktail options. The vibes inside are fine dining with none of the expectations of that. It’s a really great place to stop for dinner.

The Congolese mussels and broth are so delicious and I’m always surprised how many are in there! Very filling. They have such a great liquor menu too, including hard-to-find Belgian Trappist beers, and Fortaleza tequila. Fun to sit at the bar and converse with the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Mark: Moules Frites - Congolaise - Probably the best/freshest/largest mussels I have ever had. Fries were kind of an afterthought and nothing special but would recommend getting a side of sourdough bread so you don't waste all the sauce.
Hyunju Jo: Foooooods are great!!! Wanna visit every quarterly. Because they change the menu quarterly(or seasons?)
Tony Durke: Went to an organized event there on Friday and the service and food and drinks were impeccable. We have been going to Chambar for years and it has never once slipped in its excellence.Everything about the place is gold. I always recommend it to anyone coming in from out of town.

Aimee & Jenna Hobbs: We were in Vancouver this past weekend and went to Chambar Saturday evening for dinner. Our server Dylan was just lovely. She was knowledgeable about the menu and able to help our thirteen year old who is celiac navigate each of the dishes that could be made gluten free. Several people at our table had mussels conglaise and really enjoyed them. My niece and I had the lamb which was delicious and my son had the steak and ate every single bite. We will definitely be going again! Thank you Dylan!
SN: The service here is excellent and food and drinks are really great. Big fan of the shakshuka and waffles with salted caramel.
Leigh McBain: Enjoyed the evening a great deal. It was our first time, had never actually heard of it before. Service was excellent, the food the same and a great vibe. From a price perspective it sits middle of the road - easy to spend more, easy to spend less, but the value proposition was there. We will definitely be going back.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Thon Grille, Carpaccio De Boeuf …More
Renée Frenette: Two words: brunch reservations.Need I say more? The food is very good. Very delicious and satisfying brunch options. I find the staff so nice- I really feel that they want to make the experience a good one. It's a go-to for us to bring visiting family and friends.

AnnaLena: what do users think?
Andrew Derocher: What to say? A wonderful meal in a lovely setting. The food was excellent & the service extremely professional but not cloying. We’ll be back. All the dishes on the tasting menu were very fine and inventive but not weirdly so. Great whiskey sour!
Liam HJ: One the finest restaurants in Canada. The food is just straight up delicious and very creative. Service is very personable and the restaurant is filled all kinds of cool little touches like the MJ figure above the kitchen.
Andy Chiang: This is a wonderful restaurant located on West 1st, close to the beach, and a wine store next door. Very awesome space, the food and service definitely match up to it.It’s one of the Michelin star restaurants in Vancouver and it’s definitely earned its reputation. The food was absolutely delicious and carefully crafted. Every bite was perfect and everything just seemed to work well. The cocktails were also delicious and matched well with the dishes. The dessert was fresh and gave a palette cleansing experience - definitely another highlight from an already amazing dinner. If you’re worried about being hungry after the tasting menu, you won’t be. It definitely will fill you. I don’t think you even need to opt for the add ons, but I found it filling.Don’t worry about parking either as there is plenty of paid parking in the area. We got lucky and found one right outside the restaurant but cars come and go quite often enough.I would highly recommend coming here, but book well in advance as they fill up quickly.
Curtis B: Three visits to date and the food continues to be great. The service had some very strong points and was generally quite warm. Where things fell flat for me were the wine pairings. Three of the five had natural wine characteristics, which were not to my taste and repetitious. I commented that the first pairing tasted of vinegar and was told by the sommelier that she tastes each bottle. Essentially, I was wrong. No alternative or suggestion that I may not enjoy the next couple of glasses was given. It was an odd resolution and really detracted from the experience.
M G: Visited this place post Michelin accreditation and it was def a good experience. The new chapter of the tasting menu is something that caught my attention, so I decided to give it a try. Being a meat lover, looking at multiple vegetarian courses made me a bit unsure if I'd enjoy the experience to the max. But oh!! I was so wrong. The vegetarian options instead took the spotlight. The croutons with the crudités complemented with the garlic sauce took my breath away and the miso ice cream (WOW!!!), was to die for!! It's the wow factor that earns some places a sound recognition and this place definitely deserves it. Yet there were a few kinks here and there.I saw some unnecessary additions of certain herbs (to a few courses) that didn't really make any sense, like they didn't really compliment the dish or elevate it in any way. Adding some idle leaves does add to the appeal of the plating, but nothing more. The sauces could be refined a tad bit more, just a dash of some sort of extra flavour (like hints of special tea, etc).Apart from that, this place unquestionably left a lasting impression on me and I would surely like to visit again!
yana yushkina: AnnaLena continues to be my favourite Van restaurant. Every dish surprised without being overly pretentious and the service from Tyler and Nick at the bar was A+. Will be back again and again.
davince: favorite fine dining restaurant. had a great birthday there 🎂
Jessica Villavicencio: Excellent service from the whole staff.Meal was delicious and interesting👌🏽 will be back!
Tina Hibbs: We had an amazing experience at Anna Lena - the service and cuisine was exceptional! We found the environment fun and relaxed, sitting at the bar and enjoying cocktails provided a special impression. Anna Lena makes a conscious effort to source ingredients locally, I wont get into each individual dish but Anna Lena is worth checking out - recommend you place your name on the waitlist as last minute spots do open up.Thank you to the team at Anna Lena, we left quite full from some of the best food we had ever enjoyed! The details of everything we were served was carefully considered and extraordinary.
Aelfares S: Amazing everything!! 100% would recommend
No MSG No Garlic Foodie: AnnaLena has been on my radar for about four years. Occasionally, I would check their menu. Finally last week, two things came together: Chapter Sixty Two menu and availability of a table at the last minute. We found most of the dishes outstanding in the way flavors and ingredients were combined. Intricate, exciting, and multi-tiered are some of the descriptions that came to mind. If I could give six stars for some of the dished, I would. We were served two bonus starters, seared scallop with needle stick fries and sauce, and single bite size banh mi inspired mini sliders. The scallop was perfectly cooked and the trimmings most enjoyable. The first dish of spring salad was thankfully unlike the boxed Earthborn spring leaves with the same name, the endive and roasted beets excelled with the yuzu apple vinaigrette and finishes well with roasted hazel nuts and hazel nuts custard. I was going to skip the garlic parmesan torn bread because of my unpredictable garlic allergy, but discovered that I couldn’t even smell or taste the garlic (hmm, did that make a special torn bread for me??). The torn bread was amazingly soft like brioche sprayed with parmesan sauce and then flamed. The chowder was more like a white wine light broth with delightful pieces of tender clams and sprinkles of flavored oil. Very yummy! The smoked cod was a bit uneventful, but the sweet potato agnolotti was enjoyable. The BBQ Fraser Valley Poultry BBQ chicken consommé was very intense. I think I prefer that to beef consommé. We all thought the aged strip loin was totally boring. Two pieces of 1 inch square rare 3-day dry aged beef were probably sous vide and then placed on the dish with sauce poured over. I would have enjoyed them more if they were lightly torched along the edges to complete the taste of the fat. My favourite item in this particular dish was the broccoli puree which I will try to experiment at home! To finish, we were served walnut ice cream with poached pear. The poached pear turned out to be the star with an intricate mixture of sour and sweet, and the ice cream, a great accompaniment at the perfect temperature.Ambiance, however, is a crucial part to the total dining experience. The sound was 80 decibels when we first sat down and before all the patrons started drinking. All evening, we were more than annoyed at the loud bass that came through without the music being audible. The sound system did not complete the dining experience, it racked the dining experience. We couldn’t really hear the server’s description of each dish, we could hardly hear each other talk. Throughout the two and a half hours, we ate the food with the bass thumping loudly – at near headache level. The four of us were quite surprised that there were no acoustical foam hanging in the ceiling. We felt assaulted by the bass-heavy noise, as though we were forced to try Michelin Star menu in an empty warehouse. I would have loved to be able to enjoy the same menu with happy classical music from some of the Baroque masters because that would have really matched the details and flavours of the food in both form and tastes. Of all the one star Michelin restaurants we tried in Vancouver, we found AnnaLena’s Chapter Sixty Two menu our top choice, six stars for the food, five stars for the service and minus one star for the music, of course.
Connie C: A very nice experience trying out the dining menu #62. We definitely get to try somethings that we otherwise wouldn’t order. The bread in the clam sauce was a highlight. I also liked very much how the scallop and beef was cooked and seasoned. Some other dish fell flat for me, but was still pleasant surprises.
Jeremy Sellmer: Perfect. In a city with lots of great places to go this establishment is by far one of the best. Reservations are a mustFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
José Antonio Medina: Excelente comida y excelente atencion. Los platillos son muy buenos y aunque es costoso, vale la pena. Los cócteles también son muy buenos.

David Luu: I visited and AnnaLena for a birthday dinner over a month ago. It was an incredible meal with friendly service and food that came out promptly one dish after another. The highlights of the meal were the deconstructed lasagna dish which was astonishingly delicious and the torn bread dish. The staff clean the bread crumbs off your table, fold your napkin for you when you step away from the table, and change cutlery after almost every dish. Service feels attentive, but not too intrusive. Some of the staff were a little awkward, but so am I so who am I to complain. This restaurant is certainly worthy of its Michelin star. My only complaint is that the table set up is rather close for a few of the tables. For example, when the staff are having a conversation with the patrons at another table, I regrettably had a butt in my face while I was eating. This is a minor gripe that didn’t get in the way of an otherwise great meal.AnnaLena was wonderful, I would come again most certainly as the menu continues to change.

Salmon n' Bannock: what do users think?
Cecilia Wang: Feeling grateful that I got to dine at an indigenous restaurant in Canada / Turtle Island. I walked in after an appointment nearby and managed to get a table. To be honest I’ve never spent so much money on one meal by myself before, but so worth it. I had the salmon and wild rice, and a bison soup. The cedar jam served with bread was so tasty. The service was stellar.
ER W: The food brought me back to my childhood in Alaska, it was so delicious and I haven't had such wonderful salmon and game since I came to Canada. Thank you! Also, happy birthday, Carl!
Sarah Becker: Super delicious food and the service was very nice, I'll be back when I'm in Vancouver.
Caleb Ellison: Amazing service, great food. Please eat here and support this Indigenous owned and operated business.
Lee Ann Steyns: The best, fresh choice at YVR airport! My bbq salmi sandwich was delicious!
Erez Yalon: Salmon n' Bannock is a small restaurant focusing on ingredients and dishes of the indigenous heritage. You will find different interesting tastes of salmon, bison, game meat, honey, maple, berries, and herbs. Shan: Came here after lunch at Granville Island Public Market, because we were keen to try someindigenous cuisine during our short stay in Canada. We were not left disappointed and rather wished we had extra room to try more of Salmon n Bannock’s offerings. The bison bone marrow was just exquisite and paired so well with their bannock crackers. They have a rotating game sausage - we had the elk red wine (appetizer portion) which was very tasty as was the sage blueberries it came with. Their traditional bannock was also very good.Popular with the locals, I would also recommend it to visitors with an interest in trying indigenous cuisine within reach of downtown Vancouver.
Kimberly Stephenson: The bison pot-roast, candied salmon & pemmican mouse were worth the appropriately somber (borderline depressing) introduction we received to the cuisine’s culture. This truly feels like a diamond-in-the-rough establishment— tight indoor dining quarters, tucked into a busy street between other shops, etc…. but the first-to-last bites sparkle brilliantly on the palate. The art and music within made for a lovely atmosphere also. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a unique dining experience in Vancouver!
Vanessa Lesperance: If you want an authentic Indigenous cuisine experience dine here! Amazing food. Top notch service. Lovely ambience. A must try in Vancouver.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sweet Potato Wedges, Burger, Sockeye Salmon, Bison Pot Roast …More
Vyan Vu: Had a wonderful time here! The service was very quick and our waitress was amazing. We got the toasted mushroom on bannock for an appetizer, salmon n rice and bison pot roast for mains - all of which were so flavourful paired with the best veggies! For drinks; the blackcherry cider was to die for and the haywire beer was also amazing! I would recommend!!!It was a little busy by 6 (on a tuesday!) so book a reservation if you can
Cat S: What a cute little restaurant with some tasty and unique food options! It is a MUST GO for anyone visiting Vancouver.I recommend the salmon and wild rice & any of the appetizers which were delicious (I had the bannock with mushroom and blueberries and bison gravy—soooo good!). The food was very fresh and the service was great. If its still available, get the haywire beer, so good! Tastes like strawberries.
RudeCanal: Just returned from a fabulous visit to Vancouver. One of the highlights (and there were many!) was eating at First Nation restaurant Salmon & Bannock! Inez, the owner & host personally greeted us and guided us through the menu & drink list. Salmon chowder…. Yummy!! The ambiance, food and drinks were incredible! Visit for a great experience!!!!
Malkhaz Tsotsoriya: Amazing experience! Everything, starting from communication with the restaurant, food, service, staff are absolutely fantastic! Thank you!
Manohar Gunturu: Salmon is fresh but a bit pricy
Chi T: I loved it💕. The restaurant is small and it was quiet until a large party arrived. Then it was quite loud. I was happy that we arrived early so that we could relax, talk and enjoy our meal. The service is extraordinary. You can't help but like the servers. They are so nice. The food is incredible. My friend had the bone marrow with crackers. She said it was a very generous piece which she enjoyed. We both had the salmon burger on a Bannock bun. We ordered the fries as our side. They were hand cut freshly fried sweet potatoes. Yumm. Instead of ketchup, we were given a small container of lemon aoili, which was heavenly. The Bannock is addictive. It is a thick dense bun, and I could eat it all the time. In fact, i amcraving one now. This restaurant is definitely worth trying. Please make sure you make reservations. You will probably need it.
Gary Enns: An AMAZING restaurant!!! Everything is fresh and tasty!!Recommended dishes Game Sausage, Sausage Dinner, Salmon 3 Ways, Bison Pot Roast …More

Botanist: what do users think?
Nicholas Quintillan: Certainly a terrific experience. I’ve known the lead bartender my whole life. He recently won some well-deserved accolades and he truly is the best bartender in Canada and even perhaps the world. A strong statement for sure, however, his cocktails are creative, unique, balanced, and ridiculously flavourful. The service was outstanding and the food was unbelievably great. If you want an “out-of-this-world” experience, come have some drinks and food at Botanist. Highly, highly recommended! It was the best Burrata and Duck I’ve ever had.
Daniel Jung: An exquisite dining experience! Came in for brunch with no reservation. Luckily, after a 10-minute wait, someone canceled.Service was brilliant, food and drinks tasted delicious, and the vegan dessert was amazing! The brunch was under $90 with tips included. Fantastic spot for a date. Highly recommend reservations!I will be back 100% thank you!
Heron Hanuman: I was fortunate to celebrate a friend's milestone with a group of close friends in the private room. The cocktails are incredible. Like really good. Kianna Kho: Came here for dinner. Food, drinks, and service were good during the dinner, but I have to deduct stars because they charged my credit card twice for the $250 dinner. It took 5 phone calls to finally get the refund. I never actually spoke to anyone from the restaurant, only the hotel. Never received a note or apology for the inconvenience, the charge was just quietly refunded to my card and I noticed on my statement.
Joel Chan: We got the three-course brunch and it was delicious. I ordered the charcuterie plate as my appetizer followed by a croque madame and the strawberry coconut panna cotta for dessert. The food was fantastic and I don't know which dish I liked more because it was honestly all good. My wife ordered the hand-cut beef tartare, butter poached lobster benedict, and the milk chocolate coffee mousse. We also got the antioxidant juice, orange juice, and blue moon non-alcoholic cocktail which paired very nicely with our food. Overall great experience with a very friendly, courteous, and professional staff. Even the washrooms were gorgeous.

Dillon Sharan: The ambiance at the Botanist is unparalleled - it's one of the most beautiful restaurants in Vancouver and a great place to celebrate any special occasion. The food and service are excellent. I ordered the vegetarian dish for my main course and was quite disappointed with the portion size - it was laughably small, fewer than 10 small bites. It's a pricey restaurant and the quality is absolutely up to par but after spending $100 per person, guests should have enough food to be satisfied, not wanting more.
A.M. Wolf: Trendy place to eat, drink, hear live music, and have the valet park your Ferrari.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Monet Beswick: Beautiful room, amazing service. We had the tasting menu brunch and it was really good. The ricotta mushroom toast and the brioche French toast was my favourite ! Really beautiful place for brunch . 10/10
Jennifer Kelly: The brunch at the Botanist is incredible. Service is impeccable. High class. Beautiful setting and lots of bright windows. DJ on the weekends. The brunch menu is the best deal as it includes two cocktails and three courses. Highly highly recommend.
Savannah: Gorgeous interior and even better service!Went with a group of 12 people so we were seated in one of their private rooms with no extra cost. The private rooms have a set 3 or 2 course meal ($65 for 2 courses and $71 for three) the only difference between the 2 and 3 course meal is dessert for the 3 course meal.Excellent service, always tentative to waters sides etc. Food had amazing flavour and unique presentation.I would definitely recommend this place for an upscaled brunch or dinner!

Kelsey MacGregor: There’s a reason this place has such an amazing reputation. Incredibly beautiful setting which compliments the service and food. We’ve never encountered such amazing customer service. Very accommodating staff. Best mushroom toast we’ve ever had and the pistachio croissant left us speechless. We will for sure be back and will tell everyone we know to come here.
Ben D: Great place. Comes with mimosas and your pick of cocktail with its 2-3 course meal. Drinks were great and packed a punch. Fair price for the flavour and serving size. The beef tartare was really memorable. Lamb belly poutine was a great mixture of custom French fries with a nice balance of cheese. Eggs Benedict had the right amount of hollandaise and the lobster bumped it to that next level. Dessert met our expectations and were balanced without being too overwhelmingly sweet. Great way to finish off our meal.$71 for the three course which me and my partner had. Was surprisingly filled by the end of it.
Kimberly Stephenson: A week after dining here, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how amazing this place was! The drinks, food, atmosphere-- EVERYTHING exceeded expectations. Even the journey to the bathroom was pleasantly surprising; I found myself lingering at the hallway photography exhibits, and feasting my eyes on the bustling lounge below. There was also a live pianist, whose effervescent fingers doled out jazzy covers to pop songs like something out of a 40's noir film. The lighting was perfect (not too bright, not too dim). It's impossible to say the service was inattentive-- they anticipated every refill, every wanton desire for more oatmeal sourdough bread (which was scrumptious). The other culinary standouts were the lamb shanks/belly (which now rivals bacon for me, lol!) and the sour-cream ice cream for dessert. Be prepared to crave another visit! 😝
Paula Gamio: Toda una experiencia gastronómica, increíble servicio e inolvidables platillos

xx PreppyinPink: The worst restaurant we visited in Vancouver. It started pretty good. We walked up to the host and were immediately seated. Then we waited 20 minutes to be greeted by the waitress. Another 10 minutes for our drink delivery any then the waitress was back to take our order….so 45 minutes in we placed our order. It then took 40 minutes to get the first course a salad then another 60 minutes for the entree. We never saw the waitress again. We flagged down a busboy for water and tea while we were waiting and after 10 minutes waiting for someone to come back to check on us to take our plates or offer dessert we gave up and walked up to to host, requested the bill and left. The salad was excellent. The duck was dry. A huge disappointment all around.

Valerie Michetti: What an incredible dinner experience! We were served by Lynn, who was attentive, kind and helpful with wine recommendations. The bread was warm, the butter was soft, and we were brought little fried cauliflower amuse-bouche from the chef to start us off. While we waited on the wine, we had some cocktails: a clover club for me (perfectly balanced; I find them usually too sweet), and a moscow mule for my husband. The tuna tartare was mouth watering; both sweet and salty, with nice big pieces of fish and avocado. We couldn’t get enough of it!For the main course, I had the ravioli with scallops in beurre blanc, and don’t think I could ever order anything else off the menu going forward. It was to die for! Make sure you hold on to a slice or two of bread to sop up all that delicious sauce. My partner had the seafood spaghetti, and while the dish was over-salted, it was cooked to perfection and was delicious nonetheless. We were seated within earshot of the pianist, which was so enjoyable all evening, and he played happy birthday for me while Lynn surprised me with a little dessert to celebrate! Such a lovely touch. I can’t say enough about this restaurant and the experience, and can’t wait to come back
Michael Purdue: I was dining alone, yet I felt very taken care of--nit a second class citizen at all. E service was fantastic and the did delicious. The oysters were very good and shucked well. The Italian Greens exceeded my expectations. I also had the herb--crusted halibut special. Th portion was just right. The crust was crispy and flavorful, but not overwhelming, and it did not dry out the rest of the fish. It was moist and silky. The accompanying vegetables were also prepared quite well and I was able to enjoy the individual taste of each. I cannot remember the last time I had such wonderful zucchini. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delightful, as did the carrots. Highly recommend trying Bacchus.
