park boram
park boram: I love there coffee! Some bakery goods are okay.
Neil Miller
Neil Miller: The place looks awesome, machines look awesome but the barista must have had an off day as the espresso shot was extremely sour. Shame, I'll have to go back when she's not working.

R Y: vibes are great, not too busy in the middle of a weekday. Limited plugs, 1hr free wifi with Telus (not sure if they have their own unlimited wifi). The matcha latte looks great but tastes horrible - as if you're drinking some type of tainted water that doesnt taste like milk or matcha. Not sure what happened with it.

Sarah Nguyen: Lattes and coffee here are good, the baristas here have excellent training about making drinks. They make really good coffee even though it is PRICY! But the staffs here are not friendly at all. Unless you look like one of the hipsters or one of their regular then they will be nice. It was my first time here and the staff didn't even say hi even. Disappointed!
Sam Stacey Murchison
Sam Stacey Murchison: I had a really nice experience at the beginning as I speak Japanese.. The 1 girl working was standoffish and her eyes said ever angry hatersThe Japanese kid was nice except after we sat down her supervisor started speaking to her quietly and then I had to leave because it was difficult to listen to. I was ms to the shame of Japan 🇯🇵 Azuma who was the first person in history to claim refugee status against Japan 🇯🇵 and I was called into the Consulate to remove her after she was asked for helpAzuma you were a enemy of Japan. The Japanese community and Consulate posted my pictures in the consulate and I can't get them to stop slandering me. I saw the eyes of the Japanese staff and immediately understood the story behind the ign and behaviourThis is relevant be I protect the Asian community in Canada and I would die for Japan 🇯🇵 🇨🇦 I am ashamed of the Japanese community in Canada 🍁 the behaviour in this shop made me so deeply uncomfortableI was deeply saddened when I left this coffee shop
Darcey Lewis
Darcey Lewis: Good coffee but felt like I wasn't really welcome being a resident of the DTES. Staff telling me that a small portable coffee mug was $51 felt untruthful and meant as a message that the location preferred the middle class and I felt stigmatized as not being financially capable of paying their prices.Wheelchair accessibility: 100% wheelchair accessible.

Milano Coffee Roasters: what do users think?
Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill
Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill: I love your place for great coffee and great location. That is why not 3*.BUT‼️folks, what’s stopping you from:a) being friendlier to your customers (I visit you quite often and this is the experience of more than one visit). Your workers are polite; however, it is different from friendly (usually it happens when something goin on in work environment)b) Can you agree with some cool bakery? Your sandwiches are delicious, but your pastries are not so good. Many say you can't have everything at once, but the question is why? Maybe in addition to delicious coffee and a cool location, you will also have friendlier staff and some delicious pastries?I wish you this from the bottom of my heart, and I know that many of my friends would like come to your place more often as me.
Kevin Josephs
Kevin Josephs: Amazing coffee and spectacular service. Trevin is the guy to see if you need a recommendation. The cortado was fantastic.
Nihan Sevinc
Nihan Sevinc: Milano is my most favourite coffee roaster in Vancouver so far. They really get the art of coffee and are natural and elegant with it. I'm always curious to try a new brew and haven't been disappointed so far. The food is also amazing, rich and flavourful gluten-free options are such a treat for me! This location is right across from a park and it's delightful to sit on the patio on a warmer day. We recently went on a Sunday morning (mothers day). Despite being full, it wasn't loud or hectic. If you enjoy chai latte, theirs is aromatic and tasty, but not sweet. If you enjoy sweeter chai latte, ask them to create it so.
Hamed Soltani
Hamed Soltani: One of the best coffee roasteries and coffee shops in all Vancouver. I love this location as it has a nice patio and it's infront of a nice green park which is usually very chill and relaxing. They have two rotating esspresso coffee beans and my favorite is the butter.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Ads: Smooth like butter! Wow, super impressed at this awesome spot and a phenomenal quaint little coffee house is a hidden gem. Boasting a minimalistic, clean and modern vibe with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating and a treetop style view of the beautiful park adjacent.I got their Butter dark blend as an iced Americano, delicious sippin on a hot day and a follow up walk around a beautiful area. The value was totally reasonable and preferred compared to a lot of places. They also have Soy, Oat and Almond milk available and don't ridiculously charge for a splash. If you love coffee down to the details, this down to earth, no-fuss and "justifying'ly" bustling joint is most definitely your jam!Support local businesses!

Noa
Noa: Update - things have improved massively in the last few months so I have changed my review from 3 ⭐️ to 5 ⭐️.- - -Coffee is good, but can be inconsistent & not worth the waiting time. The service is consistently bad & really slow regardless of who is serving you - none of the employees seem to want to be there. It used to be much better... There are plenty of other great coffee spots in the area for your coffee fix instead, but it will do in a pinch.
Kim N
Kim N: We tried their mocha, matcha drinks and the cookie. The mocha was amazing, full of flavour. The matcha drink was creamy but I was hoping for a bit more taste. The cookie was really sweet but has nice fragrant.

Shay: Food is good but service was lacking, not welcoming, the guy serving me didn't even speak to me the entire interaction. Update I went back to see if the service would improve with different servers, the women that work there are slightly better then the guy that served me. Update got the young guy with the attitude again, no smile, no greeting, barely spoke to me. Customer service training is much needed in this place.
ov ov
ov ov: Came here yesterday to get a chai latte and got a regular latte instead. Well I thought no big deal! This was around 7pm and cafe closes at 8 and I was at work so I called them today in morning. Cashier was super rude- never said sorry just said “I DONT KNOW, IT WAS OTHER SHIFT, NOT MY FAULT”. I went in to grab the chai latte and he still didn’t say sorry just said “I AM NOT UNDERSTAND”. And asked me to pay for the drink. Well I walked away. Me and my husband were regulars but won’t come again to get served the same rude cashier ever again.EDIT- I just came to know that rude cashier is the manager itself (as I called to talk to the manager, he said he’s the manager itself but is still adamant that he doesn’t owe me an apology or a drink. I’ll take my business elsewhere)

Manuel: While I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, I do appreciate a coffee shop with a welcoming environment where I can get work done. The inside of Caffe Artigiano boasts a modern design that reminds me of Seattle. Additionally, the service is phenomenal. I did have the chance to try their mocha, orange and cranberry scone, blueberry parfait, and green tea -- all which were great. Parking is a bit difficult to find, but maybe that is just because I'm not too acquainted with Vancouver. I truly wish we had coffee shops this nice back in Silicon Valley.4/5/23 Edit: I've spent an entire week doing work exclusively at this coffee shop during my recent trip. I've probably had everything on the menu by now and it is all very good. The service is always great here. Street parking is conveniently located next to Caffe Artigiano on E 24th Ave.

No MSG No Garlic Foodie
No MSG No Garlic Foodie: The coffee shops south of King Edward were all busy today, full of people that looked like they've been there forever, working on their laptops and no fresh drinks on the table. That means we get to try Artigiano. Not sure when this place expanded, but they now have three retail units which gives them a restaurant-size sitting area. What caught my eyes was a pile-high apple pie that is apparently from Pie Hole. So, this place carries frozen pies from Pie Hole to go. They also sell pies by the slice. Naturally, I couldn't resist and ordered a piece of apple pie. Our espresso drinks were well made enough. Unlike the other coffee shops south of King Edward, this place is not quite. The din of conversation and general buzz was quite high. My pie was disappointing, it tasted like it was heated in a micro wave and so the crust ended up being quite soggy – where as, the Pie Hole that we were familiar with would have heated the pie in a real oven. We didn't really hang around too long because of the level of noise and also the fact that the tables were quite close together. I guess holiday Mondays is not a good time to visit South Main coffee shops! Five stars for the coffee drinks, 1 star for how the pie was treated, 1 star for general ambience.

Roger Griffin
Roger Griffin: Their peanut butter hot chocolate is amazing, and they are taking part in this year's hot chocolate festival! I adore how much peanut butter there is in this, and the texture the chocolate gives it is great.
Amy Garstin
Amy Garstin: This place has gone downhill since last year. The new food is not as good as it used to be. The young folks who work there are too lax. It take two of them with their heads down to make one coffee. The atmosphere has changed. I keep coming to give it another chance to redeem themselves from the last visit but I'm done. Bring back the skinny guy who used to manage it. It felt fun and lively when he was here.Edit: ONE YEAR LATER and I gave them another try. Asked for my latte to be warm not hot. As she read my order back she missed the 'warm' part so I repeated it. It did not show on the screen so I repeated it again. When I was waiting for my coffee in the pick up area I asked the barista for it to be warm. She did not understand so clearly it was not communicated."Extra hot?" "No, warm." She looked at me puzzled. "Not hot, warm. Not hot at all just warm." "Extra hot?" "No. Warm."English was not her first language but how do you work at a cafe where food gets warmed up without know the word 'warm'? Maybe I should have said kids temperature but if she didn't understand warm, would she understand kids temperature? The latte ended up lukewarm and the carrot cake dense but dry.The guy working needed a comb or brush run through his hair too. Just a mess.

Anthony P.: In terms of coffee, it's pretty decent. The customer service is good. I enjoy the vibe in this place and it is one of go-to coffee spots in the Yaletown area.

John Carter: Just went in this morning at 6 am, both doors wide open (granted there was one light on) and the cafe opens at 6 am. A woman walks in and just goes "We're not ready". No "Hey, how are you, feel free to sit on the side whilst we prep the counter... Just points to the lights and said, "Well yeah, we're not quite ready yet". Came across as snarky and rude. I would come in here every other day because I think the coffee is great, but no way would I speak to a regular customer like that. Not professional. I'll take my business to Matchstick, where they are much friendlier, thank you very much!

Mike
Mike: More of an opinion than a review. Person handling the cash was visibility very sick with a flimsy mask on. She sneezed while making my food which turned me off completely, ended up throwing it in the trash. When you’re dealing with hundreds of customers a day and handling food and drinks it would be a good idea not to have someone who is sick. A paid sick day I’m sure she would’ve appreciated as well.
Skip H
Skip H: Great coffee, but best is the DIY milk station (almond , oat, cream, reg milk), multiple sweeteners etc. All there for you to customize your brew yourself. Love it.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Elysian Coffee - Burrard & Helmcken: what do users think?
Samantha Bacchus McLeod
Samantha Bacchus McLeod: My favourite location in Vancouver. It is a calming space to grab a coffee and something to eat, especially when visiting the hospital. The team here are always pleasant and kind, and that is so very much appreciated in times of hospital traumas. The pastries are always fresh, and sells out most days, so guaranteed freshness every time. The coffee is creamy strong, tasty.Although busy, there always seems to be a seat opening up when I arrive. The Shortbread cookies are to die for! Omg they are the best I have ever tasted, ever! And the cookies too.

Carey Vandenberg: Anytime we go to Vancouver in the morning this is our 1st stop (we were here again April 28th 2023) . Since BATW at 20th and Main was torn down this has become our favourite coffee place in all of the Lower Mainland. Sourdough toast and jam with coffee. Starbucks can't even come close the the ambiance and grass roots community feel of Aperture
Benjamin Ngo
Benjamin Ngo: Great cafe ruined by one awful baristaThe barista working the cash is wearing pyjama pants and looks like he just woke up and doesn’t care at allEveryone else is awesome

T: Aperture is a great coffee bar! There’s tons of co-working space and the vibe is relaxing. The coffee is smooth and decently priced. Some of their sweet and savoury treats are on the pricer side. The staff are also friendly and pretty efficient. It’s definitely worth a visit (or more)!

Joe: This place would be a great place to go to if one could actually get a seat from the laptop squatters. Every time I go - all the tables up front, all the tables and counters in the back - laptops... laptops... laptops.Get a life already. And Aperture, other places have figured out to put time limits and table limits on this - please do so as well!
Vishal Chowdhury
Vishal Chowdhury: Great ambience. I tried their Mocha and it was delicious.
Santiago Merchan
Santiago Merchan: Super bien ambientado, buena comida y café.
Nicholas Milton
Nicholas Milton: Cool decor, great coffee, and they do mini donuts!
Alice Lin
Alice Lin: Love this cafe. chill vibe. Great service and decent food. The ambience is amazing in the backroom, a perfect little place for studying/working, or just to chat with a friend. (They even provide extension plugs!) Going to come back for the $5 beer during happy hour for sure.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
