Barbara Hershberg: 100% awesome in every way. Our dog stayed there for the first time, and she loved it. She had so much fun playing with the other dogs. The Rex’s staff is the best we’ve met, and our dog is 7 years old and has been boarded elsewhere before, but we now will always take her to Rex. When we dropped her off, she immediately wanted to get into the play area We loved getting photos every day of her. We will now utilize the daily drop off when we have a busy day. One of the things we also loved is that everything is clean, and our requests were taken care of immediately.

Risa Litwin: OK this place is stunning. It’s a really cool Loft looking place they let you go in and check it out before you leave your dog for the first time. I think a lot of people would rather live here then wherever they actually live.They have big dog and small dog areas to separate them during sleepovers. You can have your dog in the common area or in their own room. When I say.” room.” it’s not really a room. It’s just a nice area with solid walls separate from the others in this area there are separate of these private rooms.They have super cute beds for the dogs and different areas for them to hang out the nice outdoor area. I’ll be at kind of small in the grass. The dog seems to have tons of fun in the summer. They get sprayed with water if they want for fun , plenty of toys around and staff seem to be super friendly whenever I am there.The staff is also consistent. They keep them for quite a long time and seem to know my dog regardless of the fact that we do not go consistently. I love this part.Rex offers daycare and sleep overs but it’s definitely not cheap. It’s a pretty expensive place which is why I gave it four stars and not five but that said I think you get what you pay for.Another area I would say gave it four stars and not five is grooming. I know it’s not a grooming place but I left my dog there for a long time like nine days and she was matted when I got her back. She is a long-haired Poodle and they have to brush properly every day. You can’t just let the Poodle get wet and then not brush properly . It’s a big no-no!!!!Their response to this was that they tried to drive her, but they are not a grooming place, and it was really difficult and taking a long time to fully dry her.I don’t bring her as much as I want because of this part. When it’s wet outside and rainy, they let the dogs in and out whenever they want so from my dog, in particular, it doesn’t work for us but most dogs this doesn’t matter they’re not gonna Matt after being in the rain and they are easy to brush.I would take my dogs hair consistently every week if this wasn’t the case but since it is, I have another option for a really bad rainy daysI do highly recommend the Rex for all the other reasons. It’s a lovely caring environment for your pet:)Oh and one more thing- they gave a photographer everyday taking pics of your fur babies. You can see who they hang out with. Love this… would add a 5th star if they had a video feed

Tamar Haytayan: I feel compelled to write a review after an experience I had this morning with the manager of this daycare. As soon as I entered with my two dogs, a 9 year old poodle and a 1 year old Goldendoodle, there was something off. The usual welcome was not there and the receptionist had to call the manager.A bit of back story: I had not taken the puppy there since June 2022 as I was called to pick her up at that time because she was not comfortable and wanted to come home (this was not her first time at the daycare, she had been a few times before without problem although still shy and finding her way) . Upon pick up, I was spoken to by the manager in a frustrated tone and was told that I needed to bring the puppy in more often if I wanted her to be comfortable there (my puppy has no problem socialising in the park or with dog walkers in big packs of dogs; she is a bit shy and needs some attention and love at first). The one of the manager put me off and also I decided to not return to the daycare for a while until I knew that my puppy would be ready. In the meantime, I did call and complain about the way I was spoken to by the manager.Fast forward to today, I thought ok let's try to take the puppy in with her older sister (who has no problem with the daycare) and try it for a couple of hours. As mentioned above, upon arrival, the dogs were not welcomed at all and the manager was called instantly. There were no niceties, I was just told that today is not a good day as they were too busy. The puppy was eager and curious upon entering the daycare but within a few minutes, sensing the unwelcome situation, she retreated to the door ready to leave.I understand them not being able to accommodate my dogs today but I do not understand how unwelcoming and unloving they can be towards the dogs. At least, say hello to the dogs, make them feel welcome and loved. It is a daycare after all and 'care' should be a big part of their approach.It was very clear that my dogs were on the 'blacklist' and not because they were aggressive but because my puppy needed a bit more care and attention. My older dog loves going to this place and the manager kept referring to both dogs as needing more attention. Also, they were also referring to them as he when they are female.All in all, very disappointing. Clearly not very invested with dogs who may need more care and work.

The staff are friendly, caring and knowledgeable and Tug always comes home happy and pooped from all the puppy play. Also, we always get him bathed at the “spa” and their doggy shampoo smells amazing 🤩. Excellent experience and would highly recommend.

Linsea O'Shea: Been bringing my dog here for almost 3 years, never been late and today was 30 minutes late picking up my pup, was charged double AND received horrible, rude and admonishing attitude from staff. After I paid and was walking out with my dog, the staff member in a very nasty, disrespectful manner said "you could've just boarded her" - why wasn't that offered to me when I was called and questioned how far away I was on the phone? No thanks, I don't need to be treated that way or the stress and will find another puppy daycare. UPDATE: Adventure Den is my pups new happy place (and mine with delightful staff!)

Bob McGill: When you leave your pet in someones care you want to be assured they will love and care for them as you would. The Rex will do just that.While being boarded at the Rex our dog Gordy required unexpected Veterinary attention. The staff took great care of Gordy and the owners delivered him to the Veterinary clinic promptly, stayed with him and kept us informed of his status. When Gordy returned home and was recovering Barry telephoned several times to check on Gordy’s recovery. The entire experience showed my wife and I that the Rex and the staff genuinely care about the pets and value their customers. Gordy is healthy again and back enjoying his visits to the Rex.

Mina Kwoczynska: My shy rescue dog boarded with Jet Pet for the weekend and had a great time! Usually she is hesitant with rowdier dogs, but Jet Pet had her stay and play in the Den with the chill dogs and she had a wonderful time!! Prices are extremely reasonable and they provide crazy dog mom’s (like me) photos and verbal check-ins daily. Overall, I am very happy with the care provided by Jet Pet and I will definitely be using their boarding services again when I go out of town! Thanks Jet Pet :-)

inosensia setiono: In the first two years I went there ( around 2018?) there were no complaints. However, after the pandemic things seems to change. Everytime I board my dogs, they get home skinny. My GSD who in the beginning have no trouble is now considered aggressive by them and they wont take her back. I told them that she got bitten by a dog in April 2021 and need to be introduced slowly in the beginning as to not overcrowd her; however, I was told that they do not have time for that nor are they a trainer. If they were just a little bit more patient with my GSD, she would have been fine. When dogs overcrowd her she would tell them to back off, but somehow they dont intervene when other dogs wont stop being too much and then my dog had to step up. When I asked them to watch her, they also said they are watching other dogs and cant watch her all the time( which I understand, but shouldnt they be in the area at all time?) My dog never bite or show aggression in any way, she would be vocal to tell others to back off; this is a sign that they should have intervene if needed. If in the beginning my dog wasnt a fit, then they would have rejected me right away during trial but they welcomed her. The last experience I had with them was just truly traumatising. Im not sure who I talked to but I believe she wasnt even from the olympic location but was there because of short staffed. Being told my dog is aggressive caused me so much worry that i didnt bring her to a different daycare for a long time as I believed them. Until recently, i brought her to a new daycare and I told them that shes anxious sometimes and need slow introduction; mind you the new daycare basically watch over many dogs (over 30), and somehow they took the time to introduce her to others. They have the ability to make sure my dogs have a great time. She has 0 aggression behaviour despite other dogs getting close to her and had a lot of fun. Additionally, Jet pet would need to fix their smell system because my dogs would always end up leaving like urine. After hearing more negative feedback from other people, I would never bring them back here. I hope you guys would stop attacking bad reviews and actually do some improvements. The only person I would like to thank from this facility is Neill, whos always patient with me, make great accommodations when needed and give me good feedbacks.EDIT:After talking to the new manager, he has said that he has improved the urine smell concern. My review is ONLY based on the previous management. I wish Eric nothing but the best! I hope that you can make this facility to the best that you can.EDIT 2: I gave jetpet another try , Eric was nice. The rest of management was an absolute disgrace to dogcare company.

The care our boy gets is exceptional, and we know he gets lots and lots of playtime and exercise because when we pick him up he’s so exhausted he sleeps for a whole day. 😆 I’d definitely recommend this place.

I would not recommend their bath and brush or nail clipping service for longer haired dogs, however. Especially the curlier more difficult purebreds like bichons. My boy came back practically unbrushed and matted in areas. I will have to redo the bath and brush and clip his nails as they were unable to.April 4, 2023 update. Sarah Third: Jet Pet has been absolutely wonderful any time I've needed to head out for some last minute emergency travel. Their prices are very reasonable, and their staff are positively wonderful. They're also incredibly accommodating, and have worked around Vet appointments and medications in order to ensure my pet had a happy stay.It's clear that they spend a lot of time caring for these dogs, and really go above and beyond in their care. I was worried about boarding my anxious dog, but with Jet Pet I know she'll be well taken care of.

negar leilnahari: Unprofessional, inexperienced and dishonest, the staffed lacks the proper training , the facility is inadequate and the proper procedures aren’t set in place. Our beautiful Royal cat was severely injured under their watch and the reason and the cause of the incident was never confirmed. When asked for surveillance video , we were told there are non. We were pressured to have our pet removed and I’m glad we did since I’m sure the care given to our or other precious pets are short of anything the owner are expecting with the price attached to the service. All and all, with all the hospital bills, vet bills, medication bills , anxiety and stress their lack of proper care has caused our family -they initially refused to refund our remainder and wanted to credit the $$$. Ultimately your pets aren’t cared for through the night, we are so unhappy and would not recommend this location to anyone that has a pet they care for and love.Edit review after the posted response:This is response shows and embodies the lack of unprofessionalism that I mentioned on my initial review. When Hannah was brought to care she had minor illness which she needed antibiotics drops to be put on her paws. She has no 2cm cut on her elbow that later required 4 stitches to close. Over all the messages and text we sent 100% supported for our pet to be taken to the vet however amount of times and we Will compensate for it. However after the initial time that Eric was kind enough to take Hannah to the vet the Later times when we asked we got the response of “ we have an small team and I can’t have my staff take Hannah to the vet” , “ is best when she leaves and be in a home environment “. when initially due to improper care this incident had taken place in the first place. So please refrain from using this tone as it is not appropriate nor appreciated all while we cut our trip short just to come back and care for our beloved cat.

Puppy didnt even say goodbye when we dropped him off. The price of boarding is affordable and puppy seems happier than ever. I highly recommend and I will definitely be bringing Baby Beagle back soon.

When we decided to take an actual vacation, we knew whose care we’d be most comfortable leaving him in, and the place he’d have the most fun (and possibly be so busy playing that he wouldn’t even miss us).If we ever again find ourselves leaving on a trip we can’t bring Jasper along on, we will certainly be booking him another stay at Jet Pet Resort Olympic Village.

Jenn Nevin: We have been taking our dog here for daycare about 9 months now, ever since she was old enough vaccination wise (about three months). She has an absolute blast and is always rushing in when we arrive. The employees are kind to her and give some good feedback on how the day went and what dogs she played with. We’ve also boarded her here for 4 days (x2) and got frequent updates by text/email/Instagram posts. Have never had any major injuries - had one small cut from play that they notified us ASAP by text and cleaned it up well. She loves the Fast and Furious extra play time as well! Gives the pups some bonus one on one time - we used these during boarding. Can’t say enough positive things about JetPet Olympic Village!!

She will be turning 1 on Oct 23,2021.I really appreciate the active social media posts as well as private photo messages so that I know what my pup is up too. The staff is wonderful and knows the dogs well, my pup is always so excited to see the handlers.I am so sad that the business is closing at the end of this year. I don't think I have ever felt this way about a business. I am particularly sad that my puppy will be losing all her friends.I hope the staff transitions to another daycare close to us so that my pup can continue to see them.

Kathryn Westendorf: I have been sending my dog to ruff stuff since he was 7 months old, at least twice a week. He is high energy and very social. I find their service to be excellent, and very much focused on the wellbeing of the dog. The staff there noted he had trouble with recall and offered to help! Since going to them his behavior with recall has improved and he comes home happy and cuddly and exhausted after a day at rough stuff.Booking pick up and drop off are all very seamless and efficient. My dog is always so excited to arrive and the staff seem very kind and happy to be at work. The smaller pack means my dog gets lots of attention and play is monitored in a healthy and productive way. I highly recommend this business for thoughtful and healthy care of your dog!

Amazing experience form the minute we stepped foot on the driveway out front. Exceptionally nice staff, healthy food and delicious drinks. The hotel rooms are like luxury condos, however, the TV's could do with an upgrade.

Jay Joyce '74: Disappointing at best...My wife and I stayed as part of a Regent Cruise Lines off-ship Vancouver excursion. We have stayed at various Fairmont hotels in the past, and always had a great experience.Not this time.After the first evening, we went to breakfast with what we thought was plenty of time to spare. Upon arrival at the Notch8 maitre d's desk, we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for the breakfast buffet - even though we could see numerous empty seats in the dining room. They explained they were short-staffed. I asked to see the hotel manager, and only the desk manager was present. I expressed my concern, and said that at a minimum, we should have been told when we checked into the hotel to expect delays in breakfast service (because we had a morning time commitment). He was not aware of the problem. When I said that I would like to speak with the General Manager about the problem, he indicated that the GM had not yet arrived, and he did not know when he would. However, he said that he would have the GM contact me. The GM never contacted me.The make-up mirror light in our room was not working upon arrival. When we left the hotel at 8:30, the GM had still not arrived.We were told by one of the dining staff team that there have been recent cuts in hours. How can this be possible if you're already not providing the level of service that Fairmont guests have come to expect?After three visits to Vancouver over several years - all at Fairmont Hotels - we will NOT stay at this hotel again, and not recommend it to others.

I expressed my concern, and said that at a minimum, we should have been told when we checked into the hotel to expect delays in breakfast service (because we had a morning time commitment). He was not aware of the problem. When I said that I would like to speak with the General Manager about the problem, he indicated that the GM had not yet arrived, and he did not know when he would. Bernard Beck Jr: Had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel as we were getting ready to depart for a cruise. Staff was AMAZING. Will Lin took exceptional care of us during check-in, and was readily available with any assistance that we required during our stay, including being most professional in always calling us by name. The bell and parking staff were also extremely polite and professional. A ten minute walk to the pier and convention center, this location is near anything that you would require including a massive amount of restaurants and bars.The room was fantastic, clean, and we were fortunate (thanks to Will Lin) to get a room with an awesome view of the port.

Patrick Landry: I recently moved to Vancouver and was searching for a good place to board my pet for an upcoming vacation.I came across canine concierge and saw some pretty decent reviews. I reached out and was told I would have to partake in an orientation of atleast 5 hours. All of this was fine and normal.Once I brought him to the daycare on Davie street for his orientation, the setting definitely did not look as the picture portrays. Much darker and crowded. I figured I would give it a try nonetheless hoping for the best.We left him there from 10am-4:30pm. When we picked him up I noticed right away a mark on his front shoulder. I just took it as a minor scratch and decided to not say anything as these types of things do happen when dogs get the playing however it was a little unsettling.Before we left, we were told that there was a fee. I was never told there would be a fee for the orientation as many places do this just to evaluate your dog's behaviour and isn't actually a "daycare day". When I questioned it I was told "ofcourse there's a fee" as if I should have known on my own already. I payed the fee however i felt like the situation was dealt with very poorly and came off quite rude.Once i left, I felt like it wasn't a good fit for me or my dog.Truely a disappointed experience.

They seriously had someone standing by the front door who opened the door for me every time I came out or in. Talk about being made to feel like a guest! The whole time they were just so accommodating and nice and helpful. They gym was small, but also, it’s a 3 minute walk from the beach so why wouldn’t you just go running there ?? That’s what I did. The sauna was incredible tho. I really loved it here 5 stars y’all rock !

Roger S: The pub food is absolutely disgusting - this used to be decent place, yet they've gone completely down hill. Had lunch today and our Asian waitress with limited English could only point at menu items, respond with 'ok' and smile. Our burgers where beyond gross....thick dry "beef" patty, wilted lettuce, old hard bacon served with large cut greasy fries. No effort, care or attention - perhaps the dishwasher made it due to being short staffed?? Upon entering the hotel lobby, we saw a male staff member with a grocery bag filled with provisions scurrying towards the kitchen - how tacky! I guess they expect their customers to be drunk in order to eat the garbage they shovel out??? Very, very disappointing as a Westend local of 30 years to experience the deteriation of what was once upon a time, a great place to eat when they actually took pride in their food quality. Will not return or recommend going forward.

I inspected it like I would inspect the cleaners at my job, they took the time to dust in places that normally you would not check. The hotel staff was super kind. There was a programming error with my card key but I think the onsite manager or maintenance person was super helpful. The bar downstairs was a gem--such good food. Waiter took our order without taking any notes and got it spot-on. The food was so good and the price even better. The location is perfect because it's right on English Bay; you have so so many options for food! The cactus club is across the street, you've got endless middle Eastern restaurants, your choice of Starbucks or Tims. Transit is right outside the hotel. I will be back next trip. Price was right too!

Luciana Lago Nobre: DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG THERE!Wish I could give them 0 stars.Great disappointment with their services. It is very frustrating and upsetting to put trust and support into a local business to have nothing go as expected or promised for the wellbeing of our loved and vulnerable animals.We were in a business trip. After pickup, noticing a bad limp and signs of distress, I tried to have Frida, the older of our two dogs be checked out by your groomer or anyone available there multiple times with no results or feedback. She came back from the vet after we spent 3 hours there and a bill of over $600.00 to remove a piece of grass which punctured her paw leaving an infection with lots of pus. This leads me to believe that it was an ongoing injury unnoticed due to negligence of staff and improper care of animals in their facility. She could not walk properly and has been refusing to eat. The vet told me this infection, if had not been dealt with in time could have spread and become much worse, even life threatening. She then took pain medication and antibiotics to heal. Her appetite had not yet returned and her stomach was very upset (vomiting, continued signs of physical distress). Which the owner/manager/staff would had known if any one person from Dogtown had made a followup call or email to check in on how they are doing.After spending $2000.00 on daycare, nightstay, food, popsicles and taxi with your business I was extremely disheartened and confused how I could notice Frida's limp and how really not okay she was before any of the staff there. Frida was in great pain, does nobody check in on their health and wellbeing? However judging also by Frida now missing a collar with dog license and nametag (still have heard no response in regards to this concern) and the return of Frida and Lola's urine soaked beds, this tells me Dogtown facility and staff are culpable of animal abuse, bathroom needs unmet and general upkeep and check in non existent. We trusted them to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment.Lastly, as expressed in multiple emails and phonecalls, there were verbal and written agreements to receive nearly daily updates of their wellbeing and day to day behavior and activities. Consistent reminders had to be made, email responses untimely and insufficient. Why have I still not seen the "open area" they were sleeping in? This made me feel there was something to hide.We expected (me and my fiance) at the very least a sincere apology for this mistreatment and lack of communication for Frida and Lola and some kind of monetary reimbursement to deal with the vet bill, for an injury that should have been addressed immediately and could have been avoided entirely with proper care and attention. But all we got was a rude person (Jorge) yelling at the phone, giving many excuses (not even one “sorry”), and no solution. He didn’t even replace the manetas that went missing.Do not take your dog there!

This person scammed the daycare and the owner, and provided false information (fake pictures) to the animal control to receive more money. I sincerely hope no daycare would accept this fraud with his aggressive and violent attitude.

Dyon Yeo: tldr: Contact the city about cases of incident from this place before you sign up.It's been just a bit over a year since our dog was attacked at this facility and since no real resolution was made I thought it was best to post my experience. Our husky was attacked while at daycare in this facility, she had been sleeping in the outdoor space and another dog freaked out when a person entered and decided to attack. This resulted in our husky requiring sedation and multiple stitches as the other dog went for her neck. After the incident, we tried to get in contact with a manager or higher-level employee to see what was going to be done moving forward.What we requested was to ensure the other dog was removed from daycare and to pass along the medical bill to the other owner. The waiver signed explicitly says that you are responsible for the medical cost if your dog hurts another, so this seemed fair. We were informed that the aggressive dog was not being removed, so we told them we were not comfortable keeping ours there and would like a refund for our existing passes.Regarding the medical bills, and refunds every person we talked to said we'd have to talk to a manager. We called and emailed over a dozen times for a month. Every time we got a hold of someone they said no manager was available, but that we would receive a callback. We would then wait 3 or 4 days but would never hear back. Finally, we made a post within some of the community Facebook groups and review sites warning other owners that the aggressive dog remained at the facility. We also informed animal control that an aggressive dog was being permitted to stay within the daycare service.Within a day the owner finally called us, we went back and forth about how we felt it was reasonable to pass on the medical bill. The owner did not care about our requests or how our dog was doing and was only concerned about the reviews. He then blamed our dog saying it was her fault she was attacked because she was a husky and that we shouldn't have taken her to the vet. Finally, we came to an agreement that they would sell the other owner discounted services and provide us with the money for the medical bills. They still refused to refund our passes or to remove the aggressive dog, but it was a step.A month after this, they finally provided us with a third of the money. They continuously harassed us about the reviews and promised the money was coming. When the review was not removed they cut contact and we never received the rest of the medical bills or a refund for the passes.After all this, we continued contact with animal control as they were working to see if anything could be done. We found out from them that this facility has a history of poor management. Including a dog fatality due to heatstroke, and leaving dogs in boarding alone overnight, which resulted in neighbours having to rush in and free dogs during a fire. We also found out that the same aggressive dog that had attacked ours ended up attacking another at the facility about a month later. Since the facility knew it was an aggressive dog and opted to allow it to stay the city has now decided to move forward with a more serious case. If you are thinking about putting your dog in this facility, DON'T. Even if you believe I am biased (which I am) I implore you to reach out to the city and inquire about their cases pass and active.

After sending our dog twice, he came home with a gash under his eye and was bleeding significantly from his nose.It took us at least a week to get ahold of management after someone had sold us a “10 pack” daycare option. They now refuse to refund us the total price after our dog was traumatized, wouldn’t look us in the eyes after pickup, and stank horribly after his experience at this place. I addition to the bleeding which seems consistent with other reviews.Please do not trust this establishment with trusting your pup during the day - it was horrible to experience.

He's been to several dog daycares before and the staff and dogs love him He is full of energy and love for both humans and other dogs. The day before, I filled out Dogtown's online intake form for a new dog but they don't use it so don't waste your time on it! When we arrived, the person in charge said they need to perform an assessment. I totally understand this process, however, it was completely unprofessional and aggressive. The "assessment" was them bringing out an 80-100 lb Rottweiler (my dog is about 40 lbs) into the main store area to see how my dog would behave. Understandably, my dog was a bit reluctant to approach the bigger dog. The person in charge proceeded to take the leash from me and drag my dog over to the Rottweiler forcing him to engage with the bigger dog. She pulled him so hard that he slipped out of his collar. She then proceeded to tell me I need a special type of collar in order for him to come to their daycare. I was stunned by this behaviour. The complete lack of care and empathy for my dog in a new place and situation, coupled with her aggressiveness, was shocking and not something you want from a place taking care of your dog. In more professional places, they take your dog into a safe play area the assessment with other dogs of comparable size and at the dog's own pace. The approach at Dogtown was terrible!The person in charge then asked what package I would like to purchase and that they only offer passes in 3, 5, 10, and 20 days. I said I only want to purchase 1 day to see how my dog would be afterwards and decide if we want to keep going. She said "No, we only offer multi-day passes." I then left as it was clear this place does not actually care about its potential customers. They only care about money, they were rude and inconsiderate, and we most certainly will NEVER come here again.Please reconsider bringing your loved pets to this place!

I would not recommend this place where the day-to -day staff are not trained on how to handle dogs, doesn't follow up nor care.My dog wasn't attacked by another dog. The staff at the “daycare” cannot tell me what happened (Edit: A blackberry bush attacked my dog) or how my dog came home a bloody mess with two quarter-size gashes. Having said this, the paralysis and lack of accountability exhibited by this operation was and continues to be inexcusable.When I picked my dog up from daycare, I was informed the injuries were sustained at 10:30am. I was also informed that “he looks fine”. This means that appropriate measures were not taken to inform me of his injuries promptly. This also means that my dog had an open bleeding wound for 7 hours despite “looking fine” to caretakers who did not, would not, and still have not taken any responsibility for their negligence. My dog was not fine as I suspected and did not sleep through the night or eaten for three days since the accident.I cannot articulate how upsetting this experience has been. A $300 credit for future daycare does not compensate for the ordeal we went through. I hope this information helps other dog owners think carefully about leaving their family member with an operation that calls itself a “daycare”.What to look for in a good daycare: (if your dog enjoys daycare)⛔️ Transparency is key (ie. communication, honesty)⛔️Who are their staff? Where and what are they trained on or do they just love dogs. Is it just a job for them or do they truly care.⛔️ How do they handle ie dog fights, bad behavior, injuries etc What processes are in place?⛔️Ask what their definition of “positive reinforcement” is and con’t to watch how they interact with the dogs (Actions speak - I’m pretty sure dragging or sitting on a dog or using squirt bottles isn’t it)⛔️Ask what their dog to human ratio is (one human doesn’t have 25+ pairs of eyes)⛔️ Do they have an initial assessment to see if your dog fits into their pack, do they turn away dogs? Do they separate by size/age/energy?⛔️ Tour the whole facility, it shouldn’t smell bad or have limited access⛔️ Watch how much energy is put into sales and selling - a good place sells itself or have wait lists⛔️ Take 5star reviews with a grain of salt and read all the negative ones, there are nuggets in there

Steven: Picked up our intact male cat after 5 days of boarding with open facial wounds, while we was apparently not eating, to find him out in the playroom with about 5 other cats. Very stupid indeed! Keep in mind that purrfect's own policy states that they keep intact males separate. Purrfect did not inform us of any facial wounds, and did not inform us that he had not eaten for 2 days, until it was at the point that the cat was borderline emaciated. Until then, daily updates said that the cat was doing amazing. Purrfect did not even monitor the cat enough to notice his wounds, we were the only ones to notice when we retrieved the cat.The wounds are claw/teeth marks around/on the nose, where there are no scent glands. Yet, purrfect boarding claims it's a result of rubbing, when they were not monitoring close enough to even notice the wounds themselves. Yikes!We were delighted at first glance, but would not ever bring our cat back. Complete failure.

Stephen Hand: We were disappointed to find most of Vancouver's cat boarding options involve a small and cramped steel kennel that looks more like a jail.We have used Purrfect Cat Boarding twice in the last year. We are very happy and unquestionably trusting of our cat in their care. Purrfect Cat Boarding offers each cat a large cat condo that include platforms at different heights, cubbyholes, and ramps. Each cat has it's own litter box, and feeding / water dish. Condos can include a window view if available. Cats are allowed to explore the larger area outside of their condo, in small numbers with tons of fun cat trees, and soothing music and sounds playing throughout. It really is a cat oasis here.I cannot recommend this place enough if you are traveling or looking for a temporary place to entrust your cat for care. You are provided updates and photos of your cat and they are very responsive to your questions and concerns.The second time we gave our cat Loki to Purrfect Cat Boarding, we left for 2 weeks. Although we missed him, not once were we concerned about his well-being or level of care. Please consider supporting this business with the care of your fur-baby.

The facility was clean and each cat suite is spacious enough for the cat's to explore with the comfort of it being their own space. While away, I received picture updates and she would answer my questions. She was also very in tune with each cat's behavior and allowed them to leave their designated space to explore the open area when they were comfortable enough to do so. Cooper Sills: My wife and I traveled to South America recently for about 19 days, and one of my biggest concern was leaving our two cats behind.I found Purrfect Cat Boarding after some googling, and we went with them for boarding. Sharon and I talked extensively about my concerns about our cats, and the care they required (one of our cats has stress issues that often lead to urinary tract issues).The place was clean and laid out thoughtfully, exactly as it looked in the photos. We were able to let out cats out of their carriers to explore the place (or pick their favourite hiding spot) while we talked with Sharon and introduced her, she confirmed then that we had WhatsApp available to receive updates.Throughout the trip Sharon updated us with photos and how they were doing -- she was cautious and respectful of their space in order to reduce stress and let them gain confidence and trust in her. It made travelling easier knowing that someone who obviously cares about cats was looking after ours, and that she was willing to update us frequently with photos and videos on the trip so we didn't miss them too much.We picked them both up healthy and happy (at least when they got home) cats, who seemingly had no issues.We would definitely choose to board our cats here again if we needed to.

Room was very clean and housekeeping did a good job. Location is great, lots of shops and activities close by (Stanley Park, Waterfront Station and Seabus to North Vancouver, Robson and Davie street for shopping), although it can get quite rowdy in the evening. Can hear street outside but not too loud. Staff were excellent and accommodating, especially regarding luggage storage prior to check-in and after checkout.Slight downside is that it is close to the hospital so you can constantly hear ambulances (about 3 per night).Rooms: Clean rooms.Walkability: Close to downtown and lots of buses available. Transit is excellent.
