The owner didn't care in the slightest, never apologized, told me to get lost basically.Just another greedy business using Covid as an excuse to refuse returns. They'll take their product back in exchange for store credit, but you will never get your money back. Which just doesn't make sense. If it was because of Covid, they wouldn't want the products back at all, right? Right.
Christina M: Stopped by to see if they had anything to add to my festival costumes and was delighted when the sales associate helped me, and was super understanding when I said “do you have anything that would fit an adult”. They went through the store and helped me try on a few Kids cloaks and hats.I had a brief conversation with the sales person, who seems to be the perfect fit for the store; they love cosplay and fashion, are personable and professional.

It was a super easy process and the wig was ready within about 10 minutes, and the store staff were incredibly helpful. Mich Chan: TL;DR: Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and cosplay wigs cheaper than what's sold on the distributor's site. Shipping for custom orders takes longer, however.Great place to custom order stuff available on the Arda Wigs Canada site. The people who run the store are friendly, responsive to emails, and are very knowledgeable about their products. I know one who was able to help me determine a wig to use for a niche cosplan idea (as in 70's shoujo anime) after I had my share of doubts.Ordering through them is also cheaper. You can order a short wig (in my case, a Benny) through them for about $55 including taxes + free shipping, compared to about $65 including taxes + cheapest shipping on the Arda Wigs Canada site.Be patient, however. Custom ordering through JIFC takes longer than Arda (2-4 weeks vs 1-2 weeks for Arda's cheapest shipping), but it shouldn't be a problem if you don't procrastinate on cosplays.Looking forward to doing my next order with them.

N S: It's very surprising how the people who work here has the least bit grasp on basic things related to their own business. After 2 methods of communication(a 15 minute phone call and a descriptive email with design) it took me an appointment that I didn't need to find out that they're trying to not do what clearly their business description says they do. I mean make up your mind, it's either a yes or no. I'm sure no smart person buys anything here even if you're a tourist, cause it's all just print on clothing bought in bulk, price gouched cause it's in the Granville island. Pity.

Maria Mcclean: Expensive and incompetent staff. I do not recommend this place for embroidery.Placed an order for embroidery of 3 Christmas stockings and it was a negative and frustrating experience. Got my stockings back without embroidery and a brown spot on the cuff.After taking 10 minutes to place a straightforward order (which somehow required 3 different staff members to chime in and me repeating myself multiple times), I paid the whopping $80. I was quoted $24 in the email it the gal didn’t clarify that the fee was PER stocking. Then I was asked to sign a waiver that absolves MAKE if they somehow screw up the project……not exactly a vote of confidence.I’m told my order will take 14 days, not the 5-7 days that I was told via email 12 hours earlier. I shake off it off, sign the form because I don’t have time to look at other places.The next day I receive an email (without an apology I might add) that they can’t embroider the stockings and that I can come pick them up!**What should have happened: The staff should have inspected the stockings on my first visit to determine if the project was feasible.Three people gathered around the counter and not one person could do the intake professionally…. A waste of my time, no embroidered stockings and a lot of unnecessary frustration.Upon pick up, I had a similar experience…. No less than FOUR people . One to initially talk to me, one to find the Xmas stockings, one to refund what I paid, and a 4th person to come talk to me to ask “does this require any further resolution?”. I could not believe she said that…. No one was contrite or felt bad about the inconvenience or hassle. The ambivalence was a turn off. I get to the car , notice a brown spot that was not previously on any of the stockings. Do not embroider here.MY COMMENT TO OWNER'S REPLY POSTED DEC. 2/2022:I'm not entirely clear on what MAKE Vancouver means by "setting the record straight". My account is accurate and honest and already corroborated by MAKE staff in writing, which I've pasted below. Contrary to your reply, your team already acknowledged via email that they dropped the ball and were 100% at fault.Following are the emails from your team, admitting MAKE's error pasted below.MAKE Vancouver Email Responses - Nov. 29/2022:#1:Hi Maria,Yes 100% we should have spotted this issue and we recognise the inconvenience of having to come back to the shop to collect the incomplete order.#2:After reviewing your stockings with our production team & management we have identified some issues that were overlooked by the team yesterday when you were in. As you know our main talking point was getting the sizing correct for you so I think this is why this happened. The issue is because of the way the stocking is sewn we can not embroider it to the standards we usually would. As a work around we did look at embroidering it differently but the metallic detailing on the stocking would affect the embroidery quality which we are not comfortable with.So unfortunately we will not be able to continue on with this order for you. We would be concerned that the end product would not be up to our standards and embroidering the stockings could lead to damaging them.We will obviously refund you the full amount ($80.64) when you come to collect them.Megan.Embroidery Coordinator***MAKE: Pls don't change the story to say I was confused, didn't understand, or that you were helping me, when it was the other way around. I offered several solutions including abbreviated names, printing the names on paper to confirm fit, staying until your team was sure, and asking your team what they needed to fulfill the order. Your team, all 3, said they were too busy to confirm the size and fit, yet they were all just standing there. It's very unfortunate that you are deflecting and can't simply apologize.Moreover, you did not do me a favour to accommodate an early pickup. Rather, I upheld you to your original promise of a 5-7 day turn-around stated via email 2x: "It takes about 5-7 days to complete stocking orders."
Allison Kay: Ordered some custom gifts for Christmas last year and they went over very well! They also have a lovely shop and tons of funky local gifts and things. Only complaint is that my order took longer than expected and nobody called to say when it was ready. I'm sure it was an accidental oversight.

And when I picked it up, the shirt looked great but the t-shirt sizing ran small (the gift I was making would not fit my sister). The manager helped me find a better size and reprinted for me- no charge!

Their range is so great, and I love that they have things at a range of prices, so there's something for every budget and skill level. They also have a clearance section with deadstock, meaning they help keep textiles out of landfill. I shop here regularly, as I've been learning to sew the last few years, and I highly recommend them. I often use their online shop as well, so if you're not nearby but looking for a fabric store, you can still shop here.

Victoria Meyer: Had one of the strangest and most high-pressure sales encounters I've ever had in my life. I know at Lush they can be a little pushy, but the sales lady I interacted with today just kept hovering over me, relentlessly talking, not backing off at all when I politely said I didn't need any help. She was like this from the moment I walked in the store, so it wasn't like she thought I was stealing or something. Then, after making me get my hands wet, she left me standing around with damp hands and no towel while she went to harass the next customers through the door. I deal with sales people at my job all the time and I have had less pressure buying six figure products.

I went to this lush about a month ago and my boyfriend and I still to this day talk about this person’s hospitality! I went in looking for a lotion because my boyfriend and I like giving massages, but they redirected us to the massage bar which by the way is HEAVEN! Demonstrated everything on their skin to show us how the products worked, romanced the benefits of the products and was extremely knowledgeable. This person could have told us that the sky was red and we would have believed them. Thank you for the EXEMPLARY service! Give this person a raise!

Wasn’t able to peacefully browse without being sales pitched a product. Was also told the wrong prices for products, I only realized this when I checked my online receipt when I got home. From now on, I’m going to ask for the hard copy to make sure I don’t get ripped off. Paper bags were also charged 25 cents each, FOR A PAPER BAG that’s not even plastic so why is there a charge? Maybe where I come from, Toronto, bags are 5 cents and that’s for plastic. Paper bags are free.

Roxane Sombise: I have been to several Lush stores all around Vancouver and Burnaby but I feel that the Robson branch is the best. Not only is it spacious, the staff adds to the great shopping experience. I recommend looking for Kyle (green hair) whether you're new to Lush or wants to get everything done fast. He is very knowledgeable about all Lush products and his recommendations are always on point according to what you are looking for or just to try. Extremely friendly and helpful at all times. I hope this branch continues to hire quality staff like Kyle who upholds not only the brand but helps retain loyal customers.

Upon entering your store I was met by Mehak, she was kind and greeted me I think she was able to pick up on the fact that I wanted to get something but needed some guidance because let’s be honest it just smells amazing in there! She took time with me! She walked me through all the different products and asked what items I’d be most likely to use she got an idea for the scent palette I’d like and got me hooked to some amazing things! Her enthusiasm in your store’s products and knowledge she has on how everything is hand made and crafted made me proud to walk away with lush products and I know exactly what I’ll be buying next time in Tampa, FL all thanks to a girl thousands of miles away! My friend and I were wandering around the store for about an hour trying to find some suitable foundation and not one of the many staff working asked us if we needed assistance, no greeting, no eye contact. When we went to approach them, they walked away. I believe it was ageism, (we are middle-aged women). Not cool!Won't support this location again.

Casey Cheshko: Was in this sephora location for the first time and I think it was my last. It was not very busy in store I supposed to wait for one of the consultants for 5 -10 minutes. For that amount of time I can find any product by myself.As well one of the consultants was very unfriendly and it seems like she did not want to help at all. Asked her about one of the products she referred me” if you did not see it on the shelf then we do not have”. She did not even bother to check online or if sephora have it in different locations, or she can offer something similar.Very disappointed in Sephora. After this store I doubt to visit Sephora stores at all. I would better visit other store with great service that had visited after terrible service in Sephora.

A J: While a certain amount of customer service is good, it can be over the top pushy at times at Sephora downtown at times. Staff need to be taught to read the customer. I was literally stalked the other day while looking at hair products. I wasn’t making eye contact with the staff member who was in my eye line every time I turned a corner. It got to the point I had to say something.I was asked if I needed help at least 10 more times by 10 diff staff while I was browsing. It was excessive. Unless I’m looking at you, I don’t need help!Also I had a poor experience with customer service with a product I had an allergic reaction to. I’d bought a new product from a brand I trust in Sept that I thought I’d need in the winter. When I used it for the first time in Dec I had a bad reaction. Sephora would not help me. While I get it was past the return period, this was not the case of me just deciding I did not like the product. Not happy.
ellie segura: went in to buy a new brush set but was just followed around the store like i was a criminal or something. the associate didn't ask if i needed a hand or anything, just followed me through every single aisle. it made me not want to buy anything from this location, i've never had such a bad experience at sephora

Serina Wanders: Very disorganized store. I was looking for a product and there was no box behind the sample but beside it there were boxes with no sample in front so I assumed that was it. I took it but it felt light so I looked inside the box to make sure it was the correct product. The young male sales man with a big attitude showed up and asked if he can help. I told him what I was looking for. He couldn’t find it. And AFTER he couldn’t find it, he started giving me attitude that I shouldn’t look inside the boxes. Literally minutes later. First of all, all their sales people always look inside the boxes when trying to locate a product. Second of all, have your store organized and have samples in front of boxes so a customer doesn’t have to guess. Third of all don’t give me attitude after you figured you can’t sell me anything. Yew.

Naj Mahal: Don’t expect any sales-floor person to know anything about skin care. I went in with a skin issue I was looking to get a product for and the person helping me took me directly to La Mer. She also had no understanding of the product type I was looking for. You’re better off doing your own research at home/online.
Destiny K: I have not had great experiences in Sephora to be honest which is why I do my own research on the brands before I come to shop. But I was pleasantly surprised to hear 3 staff in a row highly recommending the same brand. Camila was really passionate in her role and took the time to educate me on brands and consider my options before making a purchase. Good customer service is so hard to find so I really commend the team for making an effort to find the right product for me!

Calvin Hill: Was curious and had some questions when I was browsing one day so I asked Grace who was cutting what looked like fudge but she told me it was not (just like the faux macaroons that are Incredibly artistic)also how it's made and how they source as many ingredients as they can locally and sustainably and even just make entirely different soaps and fragrances from whatever is available at the time which I found interesting.She was very informative and the shop has many many different shapes of soaps and other hygiene products that won't make you feel like eating them so check it out on a rainy day or something (haha)

S W: Giving this location 5 stars solely based on customer service! I just happened to be at the mall today with my 4 year old son and we walked by the Lush store and decided to go in. We were immediately greeted by a staff member playing with a giant bowl of bubbles at the door. They proceeded to give my son a handful of bubbles and asked him for a high five, full of bubbles! He thought it was the greatest thing. I asked them to show me some products and of course my kid just wanted to touch and smell everything, and while I was trying to keep him from touching all the merchandise, the staff were encouraging him to touch and smell everything. He found his way to the bath-bombs and they let him put one in a big bowl of water to see the effects! He had a blast. We eventually paid for our items but not before they added an extra bath bomb to our bag, free of charge. Thanks guys for making our Lush experience a very memorable one. Staff like you are truly exceptional. Thank you.
