Fine Art Bartending School Vancouver: what do users think?
Ricky Chang: Chris is an amazing instructor. Learned so much, had so many laughs and time flew by! A fantastic place for team building, events and fun!
Lillian Wallman: It was great to learn from Chris and Zach. They were very supportive and it was obvious they wanted everyone to succeed in the class. The teaching methods really worked for me and I think the transition to working as a bartender for the first time will be much smoother because of this program.
Owen Kahn: Both instructors, Chris and Zach, were very nice and effective teachers. I think this is a great course for anyone who has no base in bartending and wants to learn about the drink making process as well as learn how to make a wide variety of cocktails.
Elodie Hewett: I had such an enjoyable experience taking this course! Chris and Zach were amazing instructors, I learned so much from both of them. I’m super excited to start working now.
The Handy Chaps: Chris was OK Zachary Daiquiri was INCREDIBLE!!! Just kidding what a great 1-2 punch for learning the essentials of bar keeping. Highly recommended for someone wanting to get into the industry, or just learn something new - for young and not so young alike.
Rochelle Fourie: Wonderful Class and Instructors. Chris and Zach were amazing!
German Alfredo Marin Orihuela: Even if you are not into whiskies, this is a must do experience at least once in your life!
Denis G.: Whiskey tasting class was amazing. Really fun plenty of variety and options. I will look differently at my next whiskey purchase
Jim Stewart: Awesome , learned alot
Neva Burns: love grants energy, i love learning about past stories so we can really get a feel for being in a working bar. i love the size of the class it is super engaging and loved coming to class!
Sir Valot: Grant is cool. Go with Grant.
Jack Goodenough: Amazing training service for those wanting to learn more about drinks, bartending, and alcohol in general! Thanks Grant!!!
Carla Roelcke: Great time! Amazing people! Had so much fun learning:)
Mr J: PerfectJust perfect
Travis Thomson: For the 32 hour certificate course: Thorough curriculum, knowledgeable and experienced instructor, fun environment. It's a lot of information (there is both theory and practical portions in this class) and can be fast paced but that's what you get when you get a job in a bar or restaurant anyways. Really great course for anyone looking to expand their knowledge or learn for the first time and for those who want to bar-tend but don't have the experience to put on a resume. I will be saving tons of money at bars thanks to this class - now I know about a hundred drink recipes that I can practice at home for myself and friends. Thank you Tieg for the excellent experience.
Jerry Hsu: 這個調酒課真的很棒 讓我短短時間學會調酒只需要3周 讓我省了很多時間 有點可惜沒辦法試味
Sarah Ayer: Had a fantastic experience with fine arts bartending! Tieg is very informative and a supportive instructor who delivers a perfect balance of information while keeping things light and fun. Couldn’t recommend the program enough, if I could I would take it again!
Jason J: Great experience. Grant and Chris were both great instructors. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone interested in bartending and cocktails!
Emma Trudel: I recently took this course and I have nothing but good things to say! In just 2 weeks the class and I successfully became certified bartenders and had a blast a long the way. The environment is relaxed, educational and fun. Both instructors Chris and Grant were fantastic, I highly recommend if you’re looking into bartending!
Simge Erem: It was an amazing experience! Both Grant and Chris are wonderful instructors. Will be back to polish my skills and say hi to them :)!!
Rose Pagnotta: Loved this course! Tieg was full of energy wirh great tips and knowledge. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and it did not disappoint!

Vancouver Urban Winery: what do users think?
KELCAN: Just drop by this place breakfast second time around...entering the place during hard rainy day ...feel so comfortable and cozy inside...the food quality is reasonable for the price..
Disha Patil: Brunch menu was super underwhelming. Would not recommend their red wine collection. They got us really dirty plates even when we asked to switch them. Ambience is good but the location is in a sketchy neighborhood.
S Tom: Amazing food, wine, beer and service! Will def be back!
Rachel M: Great drinks, good food, but there were two mice running around all evening. Our server downplayed it but it did not make for a fully comfortable experience.
Alisha Khalil: Absolutely delicious food. Service is top notch. Perfect for a date night.
Curt A: We had one afternoon in Vancouver before leaving on the Canadian the next day. I found the winery/restaurant before we left North Carolina and what the heck went ahead and made reservations. Our visit was excellent from start to finish. Kathryn greeted us as we came in and assisted us in selecting a great evening meal. Of course we also gave the wine a taste.Firstly the food was done very nicely with a nice twist on all the dishes. We sort of did tapas style with charcuterie, salad and flat bread pizza. All excellent choices. If we ever make it back to Vancouver we would return for the food and ambience.Secondly I was very pleasantly surprised by the wine selections in the flight. Thumbs up on Canadian wine, at least the dry reds. They were very comparable with the good Washington state wines. Finally for those coming from out of town, the area is industrial so be prepared and the entrance is inconspicuous at best. Our taxi driver asked if we really wanted to be dropped off!!!Anyway we highly recommend the Urban Winery / Belgard Kitchen.
Saide Nur ALP (saide’s): We loved it! The high ceiling created a very good ambiance. The wine flights were super nice. Hospitality was also perfect. Highly recommended the place.
Paul Rondeau: I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is top notch quality and the selection of wines, beers and cocktails are great. Try the wagyu meatballs - they are very good but I will say that they’re on the smaller side. If you’re stuck on pasta decisions, give the wagyu pappardelle a try.
Sudeep Chatterjee: We dropped by a charming and cozy wine bar for after dinner drinks. This renovated workshop converted to wine bar has an impressive front door! The high ceilings, brick walls and imposing wooden beams creates an warm ambiance. Our server Emma was delightful, friendly, knowledgeable about wines, beers and cocktails. As per her suggestion we ordered the red wine flight, which turned out to a delicious selection of BC wines. I will award VUW 5 stars for great service, friendly staff and good wines!
Ashley: If you want a winery without having to go to an actual vineyard, this is your place! They have wines from all over the region and beyond. Their selection of wines, beers, and drinks mixed with their delicious food makes this the absolute best brunch spot in Vancouver! They have many options for meat eaters and vegetarians too! Our server was very friendly, down to earth, and made our experience here very pleasant. Don’t sleep on Vancouver Urban Winery, you don’t know what you’re missing!
Meah Peers: Came here for my birthday and it was the perfect place to celebrate! Beautiful setting and atmosphere, and the wine and food were great. They were super accommodating and went out of their way to make our experience special. Our server was also so sweet!! Will be back for sure :)
Diva Dion: Went for my birthday dinner Aug6/22 and was not happy to see a mice/mouse running around…seems like it was the norm because our waiter apologized (sorry about our litter friend running around)…..lovely place and was happy with our waiter but wouldn’t feel comportale going back or recommending it to anyone else.
Eva M: Great place for that special drink with friends
Leslie H: Love their rosé!
Wilson Lin: Super cool winery, cool to see an urban winery in downtown Vancouver. Their version of the lambrusco , the vanbrusco is so delicious. Definitely worth checking it out, and their restaurant the Belgard Kitchen is absolutely delicious.
alex sss: Drink menu is good but the brunch was a bit underwhelming
Kristina Breckon: I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It was recommended to us by a friend and we see why! The area around the restaurant is a little bit challenging but as soon as your walk through the doors you’re greeted with a huge smile. The decor and vibe are excellent. My husband got the beer flight and I got the white and rose rating flight and both were very enjoyable. We split the pacific board and I highly recommend it!! A great taster of some local seafood and treats. We especially enjoyed the bee pollen cream cheese, the focaccia and smoked salmon… and candied salmon and mussels. Basically everything on the board. One server heard it was our honeymoon and brought us a gifted glass of sparkling wine to celebrate which was so sweet. We loved the focaccia, smoked salmon and cream cheese so much we asked for more and the server and kitchen worked together to make a custom sandwich with those!! You HAVE to try it if you go - ask for the honeymooner. It was amazing. I can’t say enough about how kind and friendly the service and kitchen staff were. It was the perfect start to our honeymoon!! We finished with another glass of local wine and a whit beer. 5 stars from start to finish. Highly recommend this place.
Lorri Prime: Quite a few different wines to try, and a variety of foods to choose from. Jillian was a very nice waitress - server.
Kelly H: To be honest, I am not the wine person, but this place makes me enjoy all types of wines. The vibe is super good especially for some special day.If you don’t know about wine like me, try the wine flight(I forgot the name on the menu) like a beer flight; you will know which wine will make you in-loved
Yulia Merkulova: Great place - nice wines, cocktails, food, and atmosphere!
Charles McNeill: Fantastic flights of wine for tasting a few ounces of 5 great wines! Have not seen this fun option anywhere. Best wine list around top. Beautiful decor and comfortable. Amazing place that is going places!

Perfect place for celebrations and at the end they treat you with a piece of cake if its your birthday! :)
Enno S: It has an incredible view over the city and it's quite fun to point out things you see/ places you've been while you rotate. You see waterplanes and helicopters landing and a bit of the harbour. The restaurant is pretty expensive, but if you go during happy hour and order a beer or two (CAD 8-9) you can stay for a while and make a full rotation (60min). The staff was very nice aswell.
BreeAnna Lasher: Such a cool experience. The service was amazing. They do have a one entre per person rule so no sharing or ordering only appetizers! The view was amazing and we revolved about 2 times in 2 hours so it’s not too fast to make you sick

Alois Callemyn: This is a must see when visiting Vancouver. There is a elevator that normally you have to pay to go up, but just tell them that you’re going to the restaurant and it’s free. We went at happy hour (3-4) and got a window side table. The view is unreal! We got cocktails (great) and apps (ok) and our bill was $68, plus tip.We enjoyed our drinks and got to see a complete revolution (1 hour), a 360° view of the Harbour and Downtown.I will go back as soon as possible. Oh, be sure to ask for Vicky, as she is a blast.

Okanagan Estate Wine Cellars: what do users think?
Skye Portman: Really love this place, I do not appreciate the tipping option when I've chosen the wine by myself and taken the wine to the counter. The silence is deafening each time.
Jer Baum: We recently purchased a gift basket with wine and lots of goodies inside. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this place for delicious wine varieties and excellent customer service
Omar Mathias: I don’t recommend this store
David L.: Great place for tasting wine, and buying Okanagan wine. Nice selection and fair prices
Raunil Raj: I could find kelowna wines that I badly wanted and I searched a lot in Vancouver ultimately finding it here. Great collection!
Linney Sylvester: This is def one of my favorites!! I love BCVQA and they have lots! Excellent selection, great staff, good hours. Ita convienantly located beside my gym lol. Check it out. They also sell some ciders and wine coolers and even do tastings. Excellent store.
Helena Fleming: Lovely folks, interesting selection with a wide price point, great for gift or just home wine, so good value too.
Vineeth Shankar: We are fortunate to live at a walking distance from this wine shop where there is an excellent collection of wines from the Okanagan Valley. I also like the fact that the shop is open on all days. The staff is very forthcoming with suggestions for wines that suit my budgetary and flavor preferences. And her recommendation was spot-on !My wife and I really enjoyed the Cabernet Merlot of the Gehringer Brothers. It strikes a good balance between the the weight of a Sauvignon and the fruitiness of a Merlot.I highly recommend this wine shop for your next purchase. Support BC wines !
Danielle C: Staff are always friendly and will take the time to offer recommendations. Great selection of BC wines for anyone who likes to support local!
Pamela Stadius: Rad local wine shop in Kitsilano. Winery pricing of BC’s most popular wines. (Psst 😜 - I work here! Come say hi!!)
Laura Chen: The place I come to even if I have to drive further for, passing places like the BC Liquor store. They have a great selection supporting our local wineries, and always with good prices and sales! Good knowledgeable staff that are consistently welcoming with good service. They are also “Covid-proofed” in that they create a comfortable shopping experience during the pandemic, even with their smaller store size. Thanks!
David Brossard: Great wine selection. The staff there takes time to guide us and choose the right bottles
Eli Zbar: Lots of BC hard to find wines and hidden gems here, knowledgeable staff to boot.
Kaho S: Great selection! Just made first time Ubereats order and I am just in love with you guys!
WestCoast Maggie: Fabulous selection and amazing staff. My go to.
Torsten Voigt: Great neighbourhood wine shop with decent selection of Okanagan wines. Very friendly staff. Also they sell baguettes from Beyond Bread which is great.
Gregory Kehm: Friendly, fun, experienced sales staff to bring new 'terroir' into your life!
Geraldine Goyer: One stop shop for BC wines, local productsGreat staff
Markus Akert: Well priced, good selection
Holly Foxcroft: Very reasonable hours of operation to access BC's best wines. There's a week curated selection of chilled white and sparkling wines. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Lisa Currer: Agree with older review posted here (Kurtis') about the friendly, informative staff (I believe we met the owner). Appreciated the tasting (3 local wines and cheese available) and the courteous service. Surprised at the fair prices of established BC vintages here, compared to the private shop in our neighbourhood.

Northwest Culinary Academy Of Vancouver: what do users think?
Thomas Matthey: First time participating in a course at the Northwest Culinary. The best course I have done in years.
Sara D: We did the Sushi class with Chef Tarek, it was a lot of fun and we all felt it was great value for money. They even gave us all goodie bags at the end with Poke Bowl ingredients. Will definitely come back in future!
Amee Barber: We went to the one night wonder event for pad Thai. It was so much fun and great tips you’d never figure out on your own. Five stars for sure and I’ll be back!
V B: Highly recommend this place. My partner and I started with the lasagna class, then the risotto class and we just signed up for the bread making series.Couldn’t recommend this place more !!
Stella Ammendolia: The course exceeded my expectations. The teachers wereprofessional, well informed and had a down to earth wayof explaining the lesson. I would recommend this courseto all levels of cooks. The proof is in the pudding...as soon as I arrived home, (I flew infrom Ontario), I went to my garage and fished out my very largecutting board. It now has a place on my counter. Also, for the first time ever, I am using my pastry scraper.Thank you for a memorable course.
Kristian Kletke: Had a great experience with Fundamentals 1. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, not teaching you to just read a recipe, but to understand it, and the facility was clean and well prepped. Nice wine pairings too!
Mark Glimm: Just finished a one night lasagna class here, and it was just great. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The facility has I think 8 big gas ranges, with lots of other stuff, and there's a two table dining/lecture area with big screens to see the tutorials. Loved it. Thanks Tony and Jonathan!
Siavash E: .Highest ratio of instructors to studentsHighest ratio of cooking stations to studentsHighest spenders on ingredients and equipmentsNorthwest is not a school, its a passion project. This state of the art food laboratory is run by a team of chefs who are all owners - better described as family rather than co-workers. They'll take you in as one of their own, equip you with the most up-to-date culinary skills and knowledge, and give you unlimited support even after graduation. They are, however, selective in their admission process. You will need a lot of enthusiasm and a bit of luck. I wish you both!
Noya Madadi: I had an incredible experience taking the Enthusiast Level 1 course. Every day was packed with valuable information that are very relevant to everyday cooking including ingredient quality selection & all the reasons behind it. They teach you how to use your senses so you’re not reliant on a recipe or if you are looking to a recipe for inspiration, how to easily adjust things based on your touch or what you have available in your pantry. Every dish was delicious & very repeatable. Tony, our main instructor was very informative as well as the other chefs & instructors. I am already dying to take the next Level 2 course. My partner was so impressed with all the knowledge & relevant information I brought back home. Thank you so much for creating such a fun program. Cooking has never been so fun & stress-free. I highly recommend this course.
Alexandro Rubio: Great place to learn, only took the Basics 1 & 2 courses so far, since I cook for fun, but this place has made me think twice about my career choices, maybe I should have become a Chef! Instructor chefs are polite and knowledgeable, feels like you are cooking with friends and learning is nice and easy.
Janine Kreil: Could not recommend North West Culinary school enough! No matter your skill level, I can guarantee you will learn here from these wonderful people. I have taken 2 enthusiast classes now and I plan to take a whole lot more in the future!
J V: Took the 2 week boot camp as a proficient home cook and left with a new level of understanding for techniques and ingredients that I had never used before. The chefs were all great teachers and always there for questions and to help you succeed. The pace of the program gradually increased as we became more proficient and comfortable in our environment. The 2 weeks went by like a blur but with lots of practice after, I'm sure the techniques will slowly become second nature. Great way for home cooks to level up their game!
Banny Sohal: I would recommend the basic 1 course to everyone. The chefs are thoughtful and engaging and will teach you something no matter you’re level of cooking. The facilities are top notch. Overall great experience. Will definitely try some more courses!
Dayane L.: Amazing experience! My bf got us a couple cooking class this week - Phad Thai food! It so much fun and we learn how to make our favourite dish! The chef and his team were very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming! Their kitchen is unreal! Very clean and well equipped. We’ll definitely go back soon!😍 highly recommend them! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Andrew: I took the Basics I: Flagship Fundamentals Course just recently to improve on my home cooking skills and to learn its discipline. I've been cooking by following recipes but this course has certainly opened up my eyes with a fresh look, i.e., by putting on a new "Reading Lens". I've also learned the art of flow in the kitchen with Mise en Place. Each Chef instructor brought to the classes their insights, techniques, personal experiences, and how to "Think like a Chef." There were times during the classes I have those light-bulb moments at either during the class or at the kitchen station. Yesterday was my birthday, and I wanted to share what I've learned. I couldn't believe that I was able to cook 10 dishes - first time ever - out from the four day class lessons for a family meal. And the verdict from family - "...every dish was delicious... and that it was a melody of food." I was inspired and I can't wait to begin with the Culinary Basics II: Next level of courage + creativity. Thank you Chefs, and thank you NWCA...
Anthony G.: Thank you for an inspiring lesson! Learned and ate a lot :p
Jim Grant: Really great Basics course with an opportunity to make and learn from meals we made and actually learn a lot of the ‘why’s’ of what you’re doing, rather than just following a recipe. Really enjoyed a lot of the tricks and discussions around things like different salts, and what’s so good about olive oil.
Xiao Yu: Took the fundamentals 101 in-person class here, had a great time. Atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Chef and staff were very helpful and provided a comfortable space for all the students to work in. Great kitchen to work in and quality products. I have been cooking at home for some time but I think any level can benefit from this course. Look forward to taking more courses in the future.
Sonya Szoczei: Great classes! Covid distance friendly
A. Owens: The 2-Week Plant Based Bootcamp was excellent! Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable + most importantly, approachable. The class was taught in a cohesive + professional manner, + yet it was still fun + lighthearted. I definitely recommend anyone who is considered taking a class and / or course here to do so.
Chanel Warshafsky: I came to Northwest Culinary Academy as a home cook, looking to advance my skills and make a career change. Northwest exceeded my expectations in every way possible and without a doubt, participating in the professional culinary and pastry program this past year, was the best year of my life. The instructors all made an incredibly positive impact and I am thankful for the newfound confidence I have gained as a result, both in cooking at home, and now working in the field. The entire team at Northwest is extremely supportive and encouraging, they care deeply about every student's journey, interests and are truly dedicated to help students navigate their first steps when entering into the field and continued mentorship throughout one's career. The curriculum and environment is one of a kind, you will truly have the opportunity to dive into your learning, hone your skills and discover a deeper appreciation for your love of cooking, and forever be inspired to follow your dreams!

Broadway International Wine Shop: what do users think?
Matthew Justice: I just left.
Ryan Lalonde: Neat little shop, but the selection is lacking for sure, there couldn't be much more than 150 wines in the whole place, and many bottle were standard fair that you can get at BC Liqour
Christina Chee: This is my annual stop for premium wine selections during the holidays. Jay's recommendations are always on point, and I appreciate the fine wrapping job! Highly recommend visiting this local wine shop as they carry more than just wines!
Freya Curtis: Lovely little store with friendly helpful staff! Enjoyed finding a nice bottle of wine here
Barry Gagnon: Shut down for lunch so chance it
Bunsen Media: jay is great, love having a chat with him when im in he's always an easy chat
Paola Segundo: This family owned wine shop is everything! They have a great selection of wines, but also beers and cocktails! They are always ready to give amazing recommendations.
Marcelo Martinez Carreon: Fantastic wine selection, anything you buy here will be good. Great staff and excellent attention, they are knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend it.
Kate Stewart: Fave wine store ever! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable but also so welcoming and not at all pretentious. The selection is fantastic - I have never had a wine from there that I haven't liked. I really appreciate how they put just as much care into recommending a cheaper bottle as they do for the more expensive ones. Also did I mention the shop is gorgeous? Offers lovely little gifts and pretty packaging as well. Highly recommend to all.
Rachel Wong: Probably the prettiest liquor store I've ever been too. I love the interior design and vibe of it. But more importantly, the staff there are fantastic and they have a great wine selection.
Madeline Laberge: Good wine, good service ☺️
Thea Lester: Love this little family shop! In these days of Covid19 we really need to support local small business that are ingrained as part of their community. I am a local and they have always been my go-to spot. Whenever I visit to they are always welcoming, attentive and find just the right wine. They even went out of their way for a an elderly friend of mine, and picked up a product that they couldn’t sell, just to deliver it when my friend had to be quarantined after coming back from the USA.Also... so excited that they now carry beer & spirits!!! I’m only going to be shopping there from now on. I tell all of my friend to support them!!!
Emilie Dierking: Great neighborhood shop with unique wines and charming staff.
Mandy M: My favorite place to buy wine. I’ve never bought a wine here I didn’t love, thanks to the great selection and help of the knowledgeable staff.
Niall C: Lovely store with great knowledgeable and helpful staff!
Lynette Tetlow: After calling around to several places looking for a particular type of cider for a Christmas present, I happened to go into the store by chance and noticed that they carried something close to what I was looking for. Jason checked and found that they could order it and offered to do so without any obligation to me if I found it before it came in. The cider arrived quickly and I was able to pick it up withing a few days of ordering. None of the other wine stores had even offered to check if they could get it, I was impressed with their great customer service, both on ordering and when picking it up - thanks again!
Elizabeth McCarthy: The owner is so nice and knows his wine!
Jamie McMillian: Lovely selection and very helpful staff.
Hamed Shalbaf: These guys know their wine and have a solid collection. Great all around service!
Jen Z: The best place to buy wine and cider (and cheeses and meats to go with)! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff makes this place a go to. New wines pop up frequently AND THEY HAVE FREE WINE TASTINGS ON SUNDAY!
James Hicklin: My partner and I have been exclusively buying our wine from this shop for the past 3 years. The Sunday tastings are always fantastic, and Jason, Todd and Chris are always happy to offer suggestions and/or pairings. It's also great to find lots of wines from smaller wineries that aren't always available in the government stores. They even hosted our wedding at the shop, and we can't imagine anyone having done a better job (thanks guys!). This is hands down the best wine shop in the city.

Uva Wine & Cocktail Bar: what do users think?
Karen Hawkins: I love this Yaletown spot and go at least once a trip. Kitchen is the same as Cibo so food is very good.My only negative was the current waiter-rude, abrupt, arrogant. Took my drink away before I had finished! He’s not ready for public exposure. Sit at the bar- the bartender is great.
Izumi Hance: I enjoyed their happy hour drinks!
Zoey Thain: Delicious food and cocktails
Sebastian Fields: My husband and I have a discerning palate, but this place satisfies 100%. My husband is a whiskey lover and there are a variety of cocktails that hit the same spot as his classic favourite, the Old Fashioned. There are several fresh and/or fruity drinks that impress my gin and tequila-loving palate. Plus, the service is attentive, with the bartender even stepping out to insure we were taken care of. Uva is a worthwhile Vancouver stop-over for any craft cocktail lover.
Alyssa Jade: Terrible cocktails and was surprised by the rude service when I sent my drink back. Don’t waste your time or money here!
Kurt & Mau: Stumbled in here for afternoon happy hour last weekend and we'll be back for sure. Not sure the last time we left somewhere a little buzzed for only $40, it was fabulous. Very cozy and quaint at that time of day watching traffic go by. Probably has a totally different vibe at night.
Rohit Vats: i went here for water only , told them i will pay for the glass of water . the guy there refused and didnt had manners to communicate . I usually get water from here as i work nearby .
Sara Robinsmith: Very upscale cocktail bar. Sat at a high table as lighting was low enough that one could not see where other bar seating may have been available. But service was efficient snd the cocktail chosen - Pink Sour - was frothy smooth and absolutely delectable!
Courtenay Anderson: Sat at the bar but the experience was ruined because the manager asked us several times to move down a seat even though there was 4 empty bar stools to the left of me. He eventually moved the two of us to the end of the bar in front of the service bar and sat another couple where we were originally sitting. The bartenders were really friendly, but I can’t get past this bad manager on duty.
JIm JOhn: knowledgeable bartenders, cozy ambience, good selection and delicious cocktails. The Howling wolf and Pink sour were phenomenal!
Blair: Great wine. Didn't try the food after noticing there were TWO items on the menu that started with "grilled baby." Probably still tasty though.
Miriam Stefany Solano Pimienta: The bartender is the show of the night! I really liked this bar. Surely I come back again.
Heather Conner: Cozy spot for drinks, great atmosphere for a date. A few small 2-4person tables and plenty of seats at the bar. Excellent selections of wine and liquor AND they even had Ron Zacapa 23, Guatemalan rum that drinks like a bourbon 🥃. Nice cocktail list and the best service. The sign out front said happy hour from 2-5pm, we’ll be back for that another day
Tarcan Pakman: The girl who welcomed us started with “hey guyz”… after that you could imagine it went just down for me. This place should be under a Granville Hostel.
Wally Silva: What a disappointment!I took my friend there for a drink on a Saturday night as he told me this was his favorite cocktail place in the city. Unfortunately, the whole experience was really bad from the beginning to the end.The lights were too bright, there was no background music, there was a candle on the table that was just fuming, but nobody cared to light it up. No ambience whatsoever. My drink was pretty much just concentrated grapefruit juice, so sour that I had to add a lot of water to it. And the server had a bad attitude and greeted us in a way that really meant "what do you want?" and I'm sure she would have rolled her eyes if she could. But, the cherry on the top was when the bar tender blocked my way to the wash room and asked me where I was going. When I said that I was going to the washroom he asked me if I had a table. When I said that I did, he asked me what table. So, I literally had to point to the table that he himself had given to us just a few minutes before.I guess he mistook me for a homeless person, maybe? I don't know. What I know is that I'm never coming back there and I definitely won't recommend it to anyone.
Sukhman Mann: Very slow service. The ambience is very nice and dark and cozy. The kitchen had closed before we could order food. The drinks were very well crafted but definetely on the stronger side.
My Name: The staff here is very laid back. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the drinks are great! We ordered a few drinks and our waitress was great about making sure we were happy with everything we ordered. If you need to use the washroom though, it is weirdly hidden in the back of the restaurant, it is somewhat of labyrinth, but they have plenty of signs to guide you.
Adam Russell: Every time I’m here it’s always great. The cocktails and staff are really what makes the experience an easy 5/5 not to mention the atmosphere. Always get great service and an all around good vibe that the bartenders create making it an awesome spot to go to.
Roseanna Chan: Cozy little bar. Came for happy hour and tried the mellow mule and Manhattan. Both tasted as expected.
Jane Mathias: Stopped by Uva for cocktails and this place was really good. There were barely any folks on a Sunday evening so we were seated promptly. The bartender is friendly and made amazing cocktails. We wanted to order the Pangea but they ran out of something so we ordered for Fireside Night Cap and One night Stand. Boy were these drinks delicious. Fireside night cap is served with a side of walnuts to enhance the taste of the drink and it truly does make a difference. The One night stand was one of my favorite cocktails with banana liquer and mind you I am not a fan of fruity cocktails. It was delicious. Highly recommend this cocktail bar in Vancouver.
Pingchun Chen: Food and cocktails are awesome! But the time we went was empty. The vibes will be better if there’s more customers.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟-pomelo $16-Pink sour $16-Ravioli $21

The Sutton Place Wine Merchant: what do users think?
Frank L.: When I walked in, some woman looked me up and down, scoffed loudly, then completely ignored my presence. Not even a common greeting. This perhaps might not have been so bad, but when I asked whether they carried a particular grape (a Cerdon du Bugey), she had no idea what I was talking about. I might have been able to tolerate the extreme pretention of this shop were it not for their apparent lack of knowledge, too. Other shops in this vicinity knew exactly what I was asking for even if it's a lesser known variety. Shop elsewhere.
Yuuji Mori: 場所柄もあると思うが店員の態度が悪すぎてムカついた。他にいい店はたくさんあるし二度と行かない。
Dominic Morgan: Expertly curated selection and knowledgeable staff make for an exqusite wine-shopping experience. Lots of hard to find gems here as well.
Bryant Mao: Great shop!
John O'Connor: Very pricey no selection
shawn Mcphee: The employee wasn't very helpful and seemed bothered with our questions. Ended up leaving without purchasing anything due to poor service.
Eric Leclair: Snobism at its finest. Overpriced wine with little or no service.
Marc Perrot: This place is "NOT 24 HRS"!
Byron Pelly: Wine selection is decent and they also have a nice small selection of assorted styles of cold beers.
Adrian Chipendo: Great wine but very poor customer service. The gentleman and older lady are always super helpful friendly and nice but the caucasian lady who wears glasses in her middle years is the issue. She is very condescending, rude and downright sour!!!! Being a person that shops here all the time, I thought i had an isolated incident but eventually when all your friends say the same thing then its not a coincidence. The rest of the google reviews about this particular lady shows you just how poor her customer service is and this place is going to lose business if nothing is done! Lady i hope you deal with whatever issues are troubling you.
Alexander G. Tsakumis: Absolutely outstanding selection, reasonably priced and the staff is incomparable. Very helpful, indeed. If you're in Vancouver this is a must visit.
Julie O: Great balanced wine 🍇 🍾I appreciate recommending this wine
Barret Pearson: Always a great selection of wine and helpful selections from the staff. Norm does and excellent job running the store and Eliana and Mary are absolutely lovely.
June Tulips: A nice selection in varying price ranges. The staff were friendly.
Ricky Bennett: Great store!
Stephanie Metri: Visited this place on Friday August 28 at 8:00 pm and received the worst customer service; the lady was not just unhelpful but also rude!! It’s a shame to say that I will no longer give this place my business even though they have a great selection!
Ryan Bernhauser: Friendly staff, great selection
Alicia Nowakowski: Best store I have found so far to buy wine. You can get amazing wines just for $15 dollars and they are from Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Alejandro Ross: Fantastic service and great selection of French wines
Reza Etezal: Great, varied, upscale-skewing selection. Small but tasty and cheerful beer selection. Helpful and friendly staff!
Flavio Rib: Boas opcoes de bebidas
