4worldlovers: Our Vancouver boutique houses a tightly edited capsule collection of some our own solid wood furniture designs, and other Canadian made furniture. Come by and check out the quality and workmanship of our made to order wood and upholstery pieces. Located in the Armoury district, Vancouver’s newest design neighbourhood, only 3 blocks from Granville Island on W 2nd Avenue.
Our Coquitlam Showroom, faces Barnet Highway, just 2 blocks from Coquitlam Centre. At 12,000 sq ft this space has a terrific assortment of furniture for the whole home: dining tables, chairs, sofas, coffee tables and occasional chairs, bookcases, beds, storage beds, and much more. Conveniently situated between Exclusive Floors and Benjamin Moore. This is a one-stop shop for the Tricities, Burnaby and Langley areas.
We visited so many furniture stores before we got to Creative Home Furnishings and no one, absolutely no one, provided the kind of personal, truly caring/interested service that this firm did when we were shopping. Privately owned obviously makes a difference and we will be future customers- guaranteed!

Our furniture is made to order, which allows us to ensure that our client is able to tailor the pieces to their own tastes. Our solid wood furniture is available in many different stains, and often different sizes. Several of our own in house designs can be built to any size and can incorporate specific needs for example: Need your Tangent dining table 2” higher to accommodate a wheelchair? Want the Boxwood dresser to have fewer but deeper drawers? You like the Barcelona desk but need it to be longer and with a keyboard tray? No problem…

We ended up getting all of our new furniture from CHF are very happy with the look, quality and function. The pieces included a dining table and chairs, entertainment unit, end tables, desk, bed and chest. Staff were incredibly helpful. They asked questions about how we intended to use the pieces and made several suggestions for customisation and stains that we are very happy with. They were very patient and the whole experience was great. I highly recommend both their product and their service.

Our solid wood furniture is built from North American tree varietals, which are a renewable resource. The advantage of solid wood is that it is lower in VOCs, it is more durable than veneered MDF and can be repaired and refinished if marred or damaged. Our furniture is built to last, and will not need to be replaced after a couple of years, it can be passed on and cherished unlike ‘disposable furniture’ which will end up in a landfill. There have also been a number of studies in Canada and Europe which reveal that people relax when they are surrounded by natural material such as real wood, due to a distinct calming of the nervous system…
Excellent furniture store. It’s very hard to find furniture that is beautiful, high quality, solid wood, and made in Canada, but pretty well every piece at Creative Home Furnishings meets that criteria. Couldn’t be happier with these items, will keep them forever. And next time I need new furniture Creative Home Furnishings will be one of my first stops.

Searching for a sofa bed wasn’t easy.With help from the staff I landed on a Van Gogh—locally made—in a great fabric with a matching ottoman. I also selected a different fabric for the throw pillows. Bonus!I was worried that the sofa would not fit through my curved hallway, after expressing that concern Creative Homes reached out to the movers they use and lucky for me they were going to be in my area and could pop by to measure. What a relief! The movers then and at delivery were friendly, polite, efficient and fast.One last thing… the sofa was delivered in under the allotted time. 6 weeks! Impressive… some of the ones I looked at were to be 2-6months for delivery.I highly suggest Creative Homes!

There we met Maria who was very personable and helpful in providing honest product information for our consideration. She never applied any high-pressure sales tactics.We live in a house built with many unconventional, angular features and needed custom sizing for our entire purchase. In total, we purchased a dining table, a chef’s stand, a bench, two bespoke storage units and two bespoke bookshelves in her beautiful Tangent design, plus four Harvard dining chairs. We were proud that all pieces would be made in Canada from Canadian wood, and that a local B.C. craftsman would be handcrafting all but the four chairs, sourced from Ontario.Maria worked with us over multiple design drafts based on the extraordinary dimensions of our rooms and didn’t commit to manufacturing until we were completely satisfied. She even suggested that the shelves of our odd sized units maintain visual, horizontal uniformity in a room with a sloped ceiling to add balance to an otherwise peculiar space.Every piece is solidly built with quality wood. They are artfully crafted and will be cherished long into our future. We are 100% satisfied and are already thinking of our next purchase from Creative Home Furnishings.

Everything is so gorgeous! We were immediately obsessed and wanted to buy everything! We didn’t realize that the store closed at 6 but the owner stayed late with us to help us each pick out some beautiful peices because we were leaving the next day. We all work in retail so we know how annoying it can be when customers stay past closing but we did not feel rushed at all, she was very patient and helpful. You can tell that she really takes pride in every item that she has chosen to carry. I am in love with everything I bought, it adds such character to my apartment and I know that they are peices I will have for a long time. In my search for a silver moroccan pouf which I initially saw at the staging of a condo for sale - I was able to track it down to this unique boutique store in Gastown. From my initial call about the pouf - the benefits of stuffed or unstuffed - etc etc - Linda was helpful, friendly and went above and beyond what was expected of any retail store. I was a typical undecided woman regarding the color - and Linda was extremely helpful in helping me make that final decision. It's not often you find that kind of customer service. I have recommended her store many times to countless friends - and having a daughter-in-law who is an interior designer - I couldn't help but expound on her store - her inventory - almost every item in the shop caught my eye. Well worth the visit. A great place to do your Christmas shopping!
Admin: The owner, Linda, was so helpful when I was deciding on choosing my bed. I had so many designs in mind that I wasn't able to decide on what I wanted to get. She is so patient and explains everything that clients need to know before making purchases. She provides a great personalized service and really helped me to narrow down on what I needed the most. I love her pretty shop, and the price is reasonable compared to other furniture stores in downtown Vancouver. Very happy with the purchases from L'Atelier Home. Quality is top notch and the customer service even makes it better :) will be returning for sure!

Darcy Freeman: I have purchased at this store in the past and the experience was ok, nothing special. I returned to buy again and the same person was there with the same poor attitude. I said I was looking to buy another sofa and he said curtly "new price sale just ended, we had signs up everywhere. No sale and all of our prices have gone up, you should have come last week" I left never to return not ever and I would not recommend his store to anyone I know. I guess he did not see my sign.
Bj Woods: Awesome Canadian made stuff here. Fits right in to this area of the city. Although there are a lot of things I couldn't buy, the quality is there.
Andrea Wright: We walked in to Industrial Revolution after checking out the website and looking at a number of stores on Granville. We were in search of a home office computer desk. Saw three that we liked (three more than all of the other stores) and had Harald help us. He was great. Hung back until he saw we were ready to ask questions and reviewed all the pros and cons of the models we were looking at. Very knowledgeable and gave us a great deal on the floor models. We love the product and the service. Highly recommend.
Marlowe Irvine: It is not that everything went completely smoothly when I ordered three pieces of furniture from Industrial Revolution; more that the tiny glitches that did occur were dealt with quickly, professionally, and with attentiveness. AND of course, all three pieces are exquisite! I will be back and hope once again to deal with Ben and Carolyn who were friendly, considerate and very very kind.

P Kwok: It was a nightmare in recent purchase in Industial Revoluyion Furniture. We paid the dining table, delivery and assembly fee in full in advance. Then in the delivery day, the installers didn't bring the needed hardware for the table assembly. So the table was just left unassembled at our home. We asked the installer to come back with the hardware to complete the assembly but no feedback. The shop asked us to go to their place to pick up used hardware but at the expense of our time. It is totally no customer service and just put the burden of other faults on us, the customer. Totally disappointed and frustrated.

Nadia Grunwell: What a disappointment. Terrible service. There seemed to be a lack of interest and willingness to give good customer service. In fact one of the staff was quite sarcastic to me. It was a relief to go and shop at Bed, Bath and Beyond afterwards, to be served by a fantastic person who seemed to understand what good customer service entails. He put himself out, with a smile. Absolutely charming.
Jennifer Lucas: I bought a really unique sleeper sofa. They were upfront about how long it would take a custom order from Finland and that timeline was pretty accurate. Great communication from Harald whenever I asked for an update. Delivery was easy to arrange, very flexible and they took care of everything. It took some time to get, but it was well worth the wait. Can't wait for my first guest.
Bill Wu: Was looking everywhere for specific counter stools but didn’t know the brand name. Marc was really helpful and professional with my search and ordered the stools for me through the manufacturer. Delivery was suppose to take 4 weeks and it arrived in one week. I picked up my order at Industrial Revolution and the staff unboxed the stools for easier transport and also disposed/recycled the packing material for me. Great after sales service. Thank you for the smooth transaction.

Not only was the delivery fought with the most difficult obstacles, it was the worst snowy day for years. No Doubt “Sofa So Good” knows who i am writing about. After an hour, we were resigned to the fact it was impossible to reach our apartment. However, the Team never quit. ALL obstacles (and there were many) were overcome and the Sofa was delivered in perfect condition.

Lesley Scott: If you are in the market for a custom sofa at a reasonable price head to the family run business Sofa So Good. AND the upholstered items are Canadian made! There are many sofas on display in the spacious showroom. Staff were knowledgeable and Paul the owner was particularly helpful to us in choosing a custom sofa that suited our needs, suggesting firmer cushions for support. There are dozens ( hundreds?) of fabric samples and we were able to take some home to see in our space. We placed our order in mid November expecting delivery in mid February to March but they arrived the first week in January! Delivery company was great, on time, careful, and removed packaging. Our experience with Sofa So Good was 10/10 start to finish.

River Caza: Furniture is fine but the instructions are very bad and you’ll most likely be missing parts on orders. Got a bed with no way to attach the headboard. Got a sofa with arms that are trying to be too clever. They don’t slot in. Put away 2h per piece of furniture you buy for assembly and the wet wood used make screwing things in difficult. I was I paid more and had less of a headache. Also forgot boxes twice so the delivery was actually 3 visits
Nina Petrovova: I’ve bought a sofa from this store earlier this year. After only 5 months, the seam on the chaise broke. After a couple of months of back and forth, the store has sent a repair man. The repair has ruined the sofa and on the top of that, it broke after a few days. The store has been ignoring my emails, phone calls and even a visit so now I have a sofa I can’t use without further damaging it. I’ve never had a worse experience with a customer service.
Qudsiya Afaq: The product was positioned to be very good quality but once its deliver within two day its started giving me hard time. I bought one king size bed and sofa. And both of them is worthless. I had called to the store within two days of purchase to inform if we can exchange and get it fixed or returned if not fixed as it we have been told it has 30 days return policy at the time of buying the product. The store denied and ignored my request even after reaching couple of time. I paid assemble fee as well for both the product. At the end they stop picking up my call and ignored the request. I had to keep both the product as i cant do much and tired of chasing. Every time I use my sofa cum bed it get closed automatically which hurted someone as well.It was really scary. So we stoped expanding the sofa to bed and using just to sit(not to get harm again). Unfortunately, I have to write to beware of before buying. Please buy the product very cautiously.

Also threw in a lovely gift for my trouble. Thank you!Very uncomfortable delivery experience. Delivery guys wanted $40 cash to set it up for me and wouldn’t take e-transfer or a payment through the store. Obviously under the table but when I didn’t have the cash they tried to convince me to leave them in my apartment and go ask neighbours or my building manager to borrow money. This was very unprofessional and made for a highly uncomfortable experience.

No one was there, so we just went around and looked at some furnitures we were interested in. The prices were good compared to the ones I saw online, and I was genuinely interested in their storage beds and sectionals. When someone finally came out of the back, he just stood there and stared at us. I was checking out a couch, so I didn't realize a man was there until my boyfriend mentioned it. No hi, no hello, nothing. Not a good first impression of the place. Needless to say, I will not come here again and would rather take my business elsewhere. If that is how they treat potential customers (or lack, thereof), I cannot imagine how they would treat one after purchasing furniture from them. Keep that in mind.

hong qiu: I bought lots of furnitures from this store, like them all the time until had this leg degumming yesterday(This coffee table is 6 years old). This is extremely dangerous if it hit the leg as the marble is very heavy. Just use glue to install the leg is not a high-end furniture brand should do, it's definitely a bad design. Personally, I think Vancouver store should report it to headquarter. I worry about the other 3 legs, I will never know when they gonna degumming again.

Malcolm Seddon: Since I moved into my new apartment, nearly two years ago, I’ve needed help finding furniture that works in the space. I have dealt with two salespeople, and the store manager- all unfailingly helpful. Bo’s website is good, but you really do need a salesperson/designer versed in all the nuances of the product line. And, though the sales room is good, it cannot possibly inventory every piece of the Bo line.Ronald, the most recent addition to my Bo assistants, has been brilliant and finds me solutions to problems.I really love the clean aesthetic of the Bo line. The quality is high and the prices extremely reasonable, having that high quality in mind. This really is my go to store for all my furniture and, if they don’t have it, I know I’m going to be paying a lot more elsewhere.11 out of 10.

We were very impressed with Ryan's professional and courteous services overall. He was not pushy at all. A week later, he gave us a good design suggestions based on the photos and floor plan of our condo apartment. We purchased the ceramic stone top Milano dinning table but the natural stone look of the table top was not what I expected, and it looked different from the one in their show room. I thought I could get used to it but I was not happy with it. I mentioned to Ryan a month later while shopping for other items in the store. He offered to either re-order another new top or to exchange the one in the showroom with ours. I opted to exchange with the one in the show room. Rick was very helpful and arranged a delivery within 4 days! Their delivery team did an excellent job too, they showed us how to work the extensions and even took the time to clean the whole table top!I am super pleased with BoConcept and will definitely shop there again and highly recommend to others.

Had an engaging tour of the local and high end jewellery, I could live there it's so nice. Parking is atrocious though, but if you're on foot, take a minute to pop in. No regrets. Seems like a team that's knowledgable and really like what they do.

Neeli B: The customer service from both The Cross and their manufacturer (Bliss Studio) is horrible! I was on the waitlist for a YEAR for the popular KOTINOS WREATH, just to be told that the manufacturer (Bliss Studio) changed how the wreath looks. I don't know why The Cross and their manufacturer Bliss Studio didn't honour what they promised to customers. The Cross should have told the manufacturer that they had customers waiting for a year for this specific style of the wreath. Instead, I get an email saying how the wreath is still beautiful and structurally sound from their employee. Wow! No acknowledgement of the inconvenience after making me wait a year for a product and probably other customers too. Which company puts you on waitlist for a year for a product? The Cross didn't even try to resolve this issue with their manufacturer. The manufacturer Bliss Studio still claims to sell the old Kotinos wreath on their site. Other sellers still claim to have the old Kotinos wreath, because the manufacturer hasn't informed them of the "NEW Kotinos Wreath". How does a manufacturer just change its products without informing its suppliers? I don't know why The Cross is carrying products from such a misleading manufacturer. It's unheard of waiting a YEAR for a product and then disappointing your customers. Please avoid this place, they don't care about their customers!
