Simon Lui: Mussels are not fresh. They use the same veges for all dishes and they're meh. Slap on a different protein and call it a dish. Very underwhelming. You really just come here for the view and nothing else. The service staff is inexperienced.Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Shweta Dalvi: Beautiful experience! What a view.. Nice ambience and Addie our server was the best! He was very professional and friendly. Food taste is OK but food presentation was really nice! Perfect place for celebrations and at the end they treat you with a piece of cake if its your birthday! :)
Enno S: It has an incredible view over the city and it's quite fun to point out things you see/ places you've been while you rotate. You see waterplanes and helicopters landing and a bit of the harbour. The restaurant is pretty expensive, but if you go during happy hour and order a beer or two (CAD 8-9) you can stay for a while and make a full rotation (60min). The staff was very nice aswell.
BreeAnna Lasher: Such a cool experience. The service was amazing. They do have a one entre per person rule so no sharing or ordering only appetizers! The view was amazing and we revolved about 2 times in 2 hours so it’s not too fast to make you sick
João Menezes: Very expensive and food is really bad, if at least food was good ok, but the food is very very bad.

Alois Callemyn: This is a must see when visiting Vancouver. There is a elevator that normally you have to pay to go up, but just tell them that you’re going to the restaurant and it’s free. We went at happy hour (3-4) and got a window side table. The view is unreal! We got cocktails (great) and apps (ok) and our bill was $68, plus tip.We enjoyed our drinks and got to see a complete revolution (1 hour), a 360° view of the Harbour and Downtown.I will go back as soon as possible. Oh, be sure to ask for Vicky, as she is a blast.
Peter Coles: Very nice meal for all of us. Service was excellent. Peter was the server. View was fantastic. Thanks for a great night.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Ribs, Lamb Shank, Seafood Platter, Ahi Tuna Steak, New York Steak Dinner, Duck Breast …More

Notch8 Restaurant & Bar: what do users think?
Mina Li: I finally got to try this place out a few weeks ago for brunch and it was very good! Great service, great food, and of course great dessert. The food quality is amazing, however there's not much meat / seafood option since it's brunch. Highlight for me would be the dessert and the porchetta at the carving station. The porchetta is seasoned nicely, very juicy and very crispy. The striploin was a bit tough for my liking though. I only tried a few dessert since I ate too much porchetta, but the few that I had, the crème brulee and the lemon meringue tart was really good! The crème brulee has a really thin crispy top which I really enjoyed and the lemon tart was perfect sourness to me.The price is definitely pricey especially when kids are charged half price as long as they're under 12 (and I have two toddlers). This is a place I'll recommend but definitely not come unless it's for special occasions. One thing I did notice is that there's only 1 washroom stall located inside the restaurant (at least that's the one directed by the staff) so there might be a lineup if you want to use that one, or you can go out and use the one in the hotel.I also need to mention that the location is very close by the two train lines, so it's easy access by transit. However, if you're driving like me, there's actually really cheap weekend parking at the Royal Centre (entrance on Melville St and Burrard) that's right across the street from Fairmont Hotel. It's $2/hr compared to $4.50/half hr at some places nearby.Kid-friendliness: When I went there, there was a lot of young kids on highchairs. The staff all seem to be very used to dealing with kids and are very patient with my twins.Parking: There's actually really cheap weekend parking at the Royal Centre (entrance on Melville St and Burrard) that's right across the street from Fairmont Hotel. Rick K: Update: they changed the menu and when I asked for the sidecar from the old menu, they didn't make it that way. Its good but this is knocking the place down a full star. I believe they charge and should be better than this.My review is drinks exclusively. They make some killer drinks but to be honest the sidecar is the best by miles. Do yourself a favor and order that first. Look if you hate it, hit me up and I'll buy you a drink somewhere else. Honestly soooo freaking amazing!!!!! Now there's a review, an offer to buy you a drink elsewhere if you hate it. Do yourself a favor, go to notch 8 drinks.

Steve Hagan: The best afternoon tea in the city! Love coming here for the brunch buffet and cocktails after work!
Atian Moghimi: Went here for high tea with my girlfriends, but unfortunately we didn't like the food. Totally different from their advertising. The service was great, our servers were polite :) but we wouldn't go back.
Tim Armstrong: Huge portions, so bang for your buck, and good service, but the food lacked finesse and flavour. Stars of the show were the Miso Crushed Potatoes - I might return and just order these.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Notshazza Dooley: The staff is some of the most friendly we have come across in our travels. Nothing was a bother for them. The young man that made my scrambled eggs kintle did a supreme job. Highly recommended have breakfast or dinner here.Vegetarian options: Salads, meals, breakfast options as well.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available as well as vegetarian
熊莎莉: Im super angry with cheery blossom afternoon tea.... price 70 after tax and tips almost 90, but with really low quality.... super dry toast, dont looks good too. cherry blossom decoration dont deserve that money also, highly don't recommend....Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
amber mitchell: Had an incredible birthday / early mother's day brunch with my daughter and mom at Notch 8. Every single item from the buffet was exceptional. Ample vegetarian options, and also offered to make fresh vegetarian eggs Benny. We thought it would be a fun fancy treat, more for experience than food but we were wrong. Excellent food all round, fresh, hot, and high quality options. The best part however was the service. Raluca D. was beyond attentive, thoughtful, and we all remarked it was the best service we'd had in recent memory. She also took time to acknowledge my daughter, which helped her have an excellent time also.Excellent and will return, thank you Raluca.
hanh tran: After seeing all the great reviews we decided to try the Cherry Blossom afternoon tea, however, we left pretty disappointed. The tea was okay (7/10), expected a little better for the price. Scones were the best part of the tea set (10/10), sandwiches were okay at best (5.5/10), with the mushroom teriyaki tasting nothing like teriyaki and the katsu meat was too dry and not tender. The dessert tier was thoroughly disappointing (2/10), the cheesecake was grainy, and some of the dessert pairings (cherries with the lemon pound cake) were too contrasting and overpowering. Service was great though but I wouldn't recommend this afternoon tea, not worth $74/person.

Shahab Rezania: This restaurant is a neighborhood gem. It never gets super busy and always easy to get a table. It has a very beautiful bar. I give the restaurant top scores for food and friendly and attentive service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Donna So: Lovely little place to dine post shopping trip. Haven’t had a burger in so long and heard the Reuben and classic burger was a good choice so we ordered one of each. Unfortunately today their fryer was not working so there was no fries so we each picked a different soup.We originally wanted to walk-in for afternoon tea but found out it wasn’t offered on a Monday. However, our waiter was such a darling and gave us a tour of the high tea room. This seasons theme was cherry blossoms to celebrate the spring season. We definitely want to check this out before they change the theme next month.
Sitong Liu: A group of us wen there just for drinks, since a couple of us really wanted to try this place! I personally never heard about it, but assuming the location, the atmosphere, the price you pay, should be worth it. While looking at the menu, I noticed that you can customize your drinks by rolling the dice! So I asked the server if we can anything special from rolling the same dice? She mentioned if you roll all 3 dices into the designated number you can get a free drink. 2 of us get excited and wanted to try it. Later, the manager came by with the box and dice and explained that only happy hour would have the free drink rule! Too sad we missed it. Anyways, 2of us rolled the dice and tried this adventurous game, it was alright, nothing special. Mediocre drinks! But I ordered the salted caramel cheesecake, that was AMAZING, perfectly baked, it’s not too condensed and the caramel was just so good! I recommend to try it!

robert fogg: We had dinner here whilst on holiday in Vancouver. The service was good but the food was average and the prices steep. Suggesting a tip of up to 25% when paying dosent make for a positive customer experience. The wine list is extensive but eye wateringly expensive. Wouldn't return.

Y K: Always a lovely time at Italian Kitchen - such a wonderful place for a date night😊I've tried:◼ Pasta Platter (5/5)◼ Truffle Spaghetti & Meatballs (5/5)== My favorite pasta! This dish is a must - Normally, I don't care for meatballs because I've had some with an odd flavor in the past. However, the meatballs at Glowbal (either Italian Kitchen or Trattoria) are an exception - they taste great! It's the only place I'll go for meatballs.
Zeefuzz: "I recently visited Italian Kitchen and had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. However, what truly made my experience exceptional was the exceptional service provided by our server Feyza. She was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. Her warm and friendly demeanor really added to our overall dining experience. I highly recommend Italian Kitchen and Feyza as a server!

Paola Dantonio: Food was ok and service was AWFUL. Just the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. This male waiter had such an impatient and condescending attitude. The entire time felt like we were an inconvenience to him and he was trying to rush us out. Throughout the whole dinner he came in asking "may I" but not actually asking for permission rather warning that he was doing something (e.g. taking the napkin in front of us and throwing it on our laps - we didn't even have food or ordered at tha point). He brought the check without asking if we wanted it divided, and when asked to divide, he divided it wrong. It was an awful experience from beginning to end.
Raj Chana: Food was mediocre. Nothing special. I booked this restaurant specifically for the outdoor area with greenery that came up in their online photos; but when asked if we could have our dinner there, we were told that was only booked for special events. The area was empty the entire night we had our dinner. I did request an outdoor seating, but was not give the option to specify we wanted to be seated in the greenery area. Also, WAAAAAAAY too much street traffic. The restaurant can easily set up our door speakers with music, but for some reason, haven't done so.

Mandy Ramirez: Excellent food great ambiance. Very unique location as it sit in a renovated home in downtown Vancouver.
Trina Whitsitt: Service was good but they ask you to put in a special reason you are there and then said nothing about it. Like we don't go to expensive restaurants a ton and it was a special night for us and they asked us during the reso process but didn't even acknowledge. The rib eye was grossly.

Jamie Liu: Pasta here was pretty good. I ordered the fettuccine and I was surprised with how big the portion was. We also ordered the taglierini which was also quite substantial and tasty. The desserts were great, the almond cake wasn't too sweet and had a lightness to it. The creme brulee was smooth and the bitterness of the hardened sugar on top complimented well with the sweetness of the custard. Service was decent, and the fact that the restaurant is in a heritage house, definitely makes for an interesting experience. A little bit on the pricey side, but a good place to go for a special occasion.
C AnW: bread was tasty.
Christopher Jones: Excellent food and service. Very highly recommended with an incredible server and we loved the Nero pasta and prosciutto. Delicious wine too!
Bond Armstrong: We stopped in here for a quick dinner. The atmosphere was calm and fancy. We had the opportunity to sit by a window which was great. The menu was small but really well curated. We ordered the fettuccini and wild mushroom tagliarini; both were quite tasty. Our food came quickly and the staff was friendly / checked in on us lots. It is a more pricy location to eat so I am not sure if I’d go back, but it was delicious.

Gavin Tian: I have no common with their food because once I get in the restaurant, the server standing in front at 5:15 pm did a terrible demonstration about greeting people, I have no clue about what is going on after getting asked more than four times to leave my phone number and full name at the front desk before I can have a site. And she fully understands that I'm a walk-in guest without any seat booking. I don't know if is this their way of giving regular customer service to people, but after I refused four times to leave any personal information to her, and still got asked to give it out. I decided to leave and find somewhere else to have my dinner. I'm just here to have food not attending a class at the college. What kind of restaurant force people to leave their personal information even before they get in? Also, the way she is asking is not polite at all. In the end, If this restaurant needs a dress code to get in then great, because I just got off from work and I'm wearing full suits and ties at that moment.

Mila Bozinovski: The vibe here is so beautiful. Tucked in on Robson street you wouldn't think you come across such an exquisite space. As you walk up & into the space the golden tone of the walls gives off a very southern Italian vibe. The warm hues & low lighting set the mood.We ordered all of the appetizers and I can honestly say all were top notch. Special nod to the burrata... squid, soufflé. *chef's kiss*We had the chicken, branzino, lamb, scallops.. personally ate the branzino, it was a great site sitting beside the kitchen and witnessing the deboning. All the little details make a difference. The wait staff was fantastic and was super attentive for us. Can't say enough how welcoming it felt for us, visiting as a family.Price point is fantastic for the quality of their food & the service you recieve. Would come here for a date, client meeting, or a late lunch. Can NOT recommend it enough & can't wait to be back again soon.

Florence Wong: I was here celebrating Mother's day on the weekend. We made the right decision to come one week before otherwise we wouldn't have been seated by the window. The view of coal harbour and the snow topped mountains were incomparable and serene. The ambiance and decor was also excellent. Our server was attentive and welcoming. We ordered the $65 pp high tea service which came with a small selection of tea. Certain choices required additional cost. We also ordered a la cart caviar. The variety and portions of food was perfect. We even had left overs!I would've given 5 stars if the tea selection was larger.Overall I'd recommend visiting this restaurant and would definitely come back for other special occasions.

david procter: I accompanied my wife and mother to the Five Sails for Afternoon Tea on a Sunday afternoon. What a FABULOUS experience. From the GM Jason to his Greeter and to Jordan our server The staff was warm. Friendly. Knowledgeable and attentive. And hugely welcoming. Thanks so much. The tea started with a wonderful glass of bubbly. Followed by tasty tea I tried the Nutcracker black tea. Flavours of hazelnut and vanilla. Yummy. And the food which followed was exquisite Presentation alone earned outstanding marks. But the variety and flavours and textures of the offerings was outstanding. I even tried some of the caviar Bit of a rookie on that but it was very enjoyable. Definitely worth trying. Neat taste sensationsJason. Thanks so much for hosting the three of us. And to you and your staff. Our sincere thanks. We shall return !!!Cheers. David.
Randy Brown: Ambiance was fantastic, service (Michael) was great and food was extremely good!
Josh Bateman: We went to Five Sails to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived and the hostess accommodated my reservation requests and gave us a great table with the most amazing view of the harbour. Shawn was our Waiter who was very friendly and attentive all evening. Shawn went above and beyond to make sure we both had a memorable anniversary. They surprised us at the end with a happy anniversary dessert. I would highly recommend Five Sails!
CHANEL SATTARA: If I could give this amazing place, view, and the exceptional service more than 5 stars I absolutely would. This the was the best dining experience I've ever had, and I'm a major foodie so that says a lot. The view is breathtaking, the service is so personal and warm, they also have VEGAN options. The drinks and the sorbetto are exceptional. I would come over and over if I still lived in Vancouver. Thank you so much Jason 3
Sahiba Speaks: Honestly this place definitely impressed me. Their customer service was above and beyond. Very loving and make you feel more than comfortable and accepted. Everyone was treated with the utmost respect and love. The customer service they gave us was just incredibly beautiful to the point where I was simply touched. We need more places like you. Thank you for treating us with love and giving us an experience where we want to come back and tell others how amazing you are. The food was fabulous and so were the drinks. I am in love with the drinks... gorgeous... The atmosphere and the energy are just breathtaking. You will leave feeling apreaciated and like a king. We deserve the best and that is exactly what you will get here with class and luxery.
Mark Epik: Great atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts and make sure you take advantage of the cocktail menu.
C AnW: good place for dating.
Sabrina L: I absolutely love dinner but recently I came for a baby shower and it was just alright.$65 pp for high tea was a steal, but it was just okay, my favourite was the lobster biegnet.Service though was mediocre at best.We were missing a chair when we arrivedWe had to ask our server 3 x for the tea menu and she seemed not pleased when we didn't all order alcoholWe had order sparkling water but most restaurants would ask before opening the next model but she did not, she literally would top us up after every sip, before you knew it, we were 5 bottles deep between 5 people (wasted full glasses at the end)Asked her twice to take away our food and her timing was just really off for everythingWas less than pleased with her serviceParking: Parking lot was fullTried to valet but there was noneEnded up work street parking $8/hrWe parked for 3 hrs for a total $24

Gabi J: We stopped here for lunch and we were disappointed. First of all, all the food and drinks were served on paper plates and cups. I imagine this cafe creates a lot of unnecessary waste each day. Secondly, the food was just okay. The soup was very bland we had to add a lot of extra salt to it.
Sam Newmark: Tomato and bocconcini wrap was good, vegetable soup was a bit bland and watery. Main issue was the fact everything was served with disposable plates, cups and other packaging. For a building that advertises its environmental credentials, pretty disappointing, and not the kind of experience we expected in such a location.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More

Oliver Moss: Fabulous food, wonderful service. Had an event here not too long ago, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Their menu is small, but each item is exceptional. It's definitely the sort of place you want to book a table for, especially if you have a group.

DebM: I love Van Dusen Gardens but the cafe always misses the mark when it comes to the food, service and environmental awareness. For me the major issue is the service. Staff, although smiley and friendly (sometimes), seem to lack basic training and understanding of what menu items are, how they should be served for optimum taste and how to cope with large numbers of people. Seems like there is a problem with how team members are on-boarded, trained and supported on a daily basis.
Jenn S: Cafe closed early. Came by to grab a coffee at 2:55, door was already closedService: 1/5 …More
Diana Kang: Yikes, the food here is not good. The salad had many rotten pieces of lettuce and the thyme dressing was just bizarre tasting. The cream in the soup had separated. The chicken bowl was bland. Probably won't come again.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Kissa Tanto: what do users think?
D H: Fantastic service and food!Went for the chef's tasting menu which did not disappoint. The omelette and charcoal udon pasta were our favourites for sure.
Carine Hannouche: Underwhelming experience, the food is average at best and the place is quite noisy.
MMI - Private: As another reviewer said, I was expecting more given this restaurant's reputation. Most of the dishes were forgettable and some (like the pressed rice side dish) were actually disappointing. The highlight was the yuzu cream dessert, an absolute revelation! The specials are presented in an overly complicated manner with too much detail. Perhaps a fresh sheet would be better? In general service, although attentive, felt disorganized when compared to another Michelin starred restaurant visited a few months back. This restaurant did not wow me unfortunately.
Nate Brooks: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Octopus Salad, Roasted Rice Panna Cotta, CannoliMore
Sally C: Kissa Tanto, a place I remember for the mouthwatering Tajarin and refreshing crudo, has changed quite a bit since they achieved their Michelin Star status. The recent visit was a bit of a mixed bag, to say the least. We started with the Tonno Mantecato, a bruschetta-style dish topped with tobiko and mashed potatoes. The garlicky, umami combination of fish roe and bread was a delight, but the potatoes felt redundant and too filling as an appetizer.Next came the Carne Cruda, which was a bit of a letdown. Didn't really get any scallion or soy flavors, just felt like I was eating raw beef with a ton of parmesan on top.The Tajarin brought back some good memories. It was creamy, flavorful, and all-round tasty, though it's gone a bit heavy on the cream and cheese and eased up on the miso compared to last time. The Organic Half Chicken was an interesting idea, and gave me Cantonese soy sauce chicken vibes. However, the accompanying mayo-like dipping sauce weighed down the dish, rather than elevating it. A sweet soy sauce would've been a far better choice to complement the chicken's richness.Overall, Kissa Tanto's still worth a visit, but felt not as good as its pre-michelin version. I would only recommend their most famous dishes - crudo, octopus salad, and tajarin.Parking: Street parking nearby. Can be very hard to find open spots and difficult for parallel parking haters :(
Kaz Okuda: Amazing food
Nils Manegold: Gutes und individuelles Essen
Kylee Coots: The food is good. We ordered the testing menu, Chef’s choice. Felt too long between courses. Food was just ok. Only one dish that felt novel. Felt like the bar was overwhelmed with first seating.Food: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Sylvie LaPerriere: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Paul Lo: celebrated my birthday there this year it was awesome!
Jason Mackay: I’ve been to a few Michelin Star restaurants in San Fran and was expecting the same level of presentation and quality… Kiss Tanto has a decent atmosphere and the staff were nice but the food… meh. Maybe the chef had an off night.
Kimberly M: My favourite restaurant in the world--from the attentive service to the expertly crafted dishes, no matter where I've dined around the world this restaurant stands out. The tajirin pasta and omelet (not on the menu--ask them about it!) are two favourites but the whole menu is incredible, I can't recommend them enough!
James Huenefeld: Food was good but nothing extraordinary. Price very high considering the area and the food was nothing I would return for. Much better tasting food around vancouver for less and in better areas. Service was top notch. Value for money 3 out of 5 stars.
D'arcy Clark: we had omakase, the server asked us a few questions about things we liked/didn’t like and then built a menu from their offerings for us based on this which is pretty neat imo. overall i would say i liked 75-80% of what was served which is pretty high as i am a picky eater. they also had a great cocktail offering . Sorry i’m not a foodie and can’t remember the names of all the dishes 🤷🏼‍♀️ but i took a few photos overall it was a great experience but i’m not sure about the final bill in the long run and whether it was what i expected for a Michelin star restaurant which is why it’s not a 5 in my books.
Ziyad Edher: Kissa Tanto lives up to the hype. The fusion fare is refined and intentional, yet not lacking in depth or complexity. Execution and presentation was spectacular but not pretentious. You're not coming here for the fancy service (even though the service was great) or the beautiful views, you're coming here for fantastic a-la-carte style food that leaves you wanting just the right amount of more.We started off with the oysters which didn't stand out.But then came our first appetizer, two ounces of delicately seared A5 Wagyu with a vibrant, peachy emulsion. The melt-in-you-mouth steak on its own did the trick, but the sauce brought it to a whole other level. Our second appetizer was a black truffle omelette. In contrast to the elegant Wagyu, this omelette was technically brilliant and beautifully messy. The truffle was not at all overpowering, and the eggs really stood out as the main star of the show, rightfully so. This was probably my favorite individual dish. The pastas were the centerpieces for me, they underscored the Japanese-Italian fusion and tackled the flavors involved masterfully. Surprising yet delightful flavors throughout. We ended our main courses with a whole flash-fried fish. The seasoning was great and the fish was tender. I didn't love the daikon soy sauce, but the meat was flavorful enough that I didn't mind eating it without anything else.We finished off with a tiramisu and a cannoli. The tiramisu left me a little disappointed, the plum and coffee flavors really overpowered the delicate and light mascarpone and whipped soy base. But the cannoli was fantastic, deep, and perfectly decadent. A refreshing side of yuzu ice cream helped offset the richness of the chocolate and matcha, which was much appreciated.Overall, Kissa Tanto was great and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for unique and technically excellent food that you really don't have to try hard at all to enjoy.
Izzie B.: The octopus salad is indeed very good. But the tajarin dish was bland in taste. I imagined it would be more unctuous and rich but it wasn't. And I had to ask for salt and keep salting it as I opened it up, so my guess is they don't salt the water as it boils and instead hope the parmesan is salty enough. The long Japanese g&t was great, the martini a bit too subtle for me.
Ken Ip: Very innovative dishes and attentive service!Venue is a bit cozy and can get a little loud in the background at peak times. Great experience with the tasting menu - lots of inspiration to be found in the dishes here.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Spaghettini Nero, Fried Stuffed Olives, Whole Fried Fish, Burrata Salad …More
No MSG No Garlic Foodie: I saw a photo of the deep fried perch a few months before their Michelin award and so they went on my list of restaurants to try. It was not until our friends told us how much they enjoyed the interior that I started checking OpenTable regularly for reservation openings. 5:30 is when the restaurant opens. We got a table at the bar and lined up in the rain in Chinatown outside Kissa Tanto with other keeners. When the door finally opened, we all filed upstairs to the 2nd floor restaurant. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by the interior: nice level of lighting, nice looking lighting fixtures, nice colors, a bar that is not cluttered. Seems like everything thing was placed there for a photoshoot – a comfortable space that is pleasant on the eyes. The images that came to mind were women in short hair with cloche hats or sparkly headbands dancing to Charleston music. THE FOOD. Since there were a couple of items that we did not desire in the fixed menu, we ordered a la carte. The Burrata Salad was supposed to come with organic greens, but they were served with beets instead. Even better! It turned out to be the best beets salad I've ever had. There were different types of beets, including dried, and fermented(?). All delightful, with their very own flavour, but an overriding tangy orange dressing. I particularly love the softened black pieces that almost taste like olives – I am guessing they are fermented. We received Michelin standard table service. Fresh plates and cutlery were provided for each dish, and the servers wiped our bar top between each dish. That really enhanced our anticipation of the next item. For carbs ('Tender to the Tooth'), we chose charcoal udon. The udon was made with semolina and spelt – very chewy, very delicious. The chilli butter provided just the right zest. The first two dishes were so good I wanted to order a repeat of the beets burrata and charcoal udon again. I guess that's a reason to come back again and hopefully, they still have these delicious dishes(!) Now for the deep fried perch. It was large enough for us, and so beautiful I didn't want to destroy it. We were told not to waste the meat in the cheeks but I couldn't identify where the meat was. In any case, it took us a while to extract the meat to make sure we do the fist justice. It was a fun thing to have, but next time, I might go for the sable fish instead, if nothing else, to reduce the amount of deep fried food in our diets! I can't write about the seasonal vegetables side dish because it was boring and I decided to focus on the fish. Now to dessert – it is not something we normally order due to our low sugar diet. But being able to get in to Kissa Tanto was a big deal and we weren't ready to leave yet. We are lactose intolerant, the ingredient of the Tiramisu is soy mascarpone. So, we tried it. Wow, so light, and not sweet at all – We breathed it in! We have been to other Michelin Star restaurants in Vancouver. But this was truly the best we've encountered so far. If I can give six stars I would. Truly an evening to remember and repeat! And repeat!
DL 999: Really good food, but it took longer for the waiter to explain every single little thing about a dish than it took me to actually eat said dish. Also quite expensiveWheelchair accessibility: Absolutely none

Marc Rizzardo: Great place for dinner before the movies and/or the Caps or Canucks game. Easy parking, quick service, great food, nice atmosphere, and lots of selection
Billy V: Absolutely the best kept secret on the west side of Vancouver. Phenomenal food. Casual atmosphere combined with amazing service.Parking: Great parking options and only $1/ hour
Sky Agent: Lively atmosphere, get ready to talk loud to hear each other. Great deck, love the walnut wood/details, bar area. (Oh bathrooms are downstairs - Nova, add a sign - so many people get lost searching for it 😂.Food is yummy! We had the 1/4 chicken special - perfectly roasted and a pizza.Service could have been better (been here before, and it was last time). Had to wait 15 min for our reservation, had to ask for water, and some others small details of service was missing this time. Will be back -aiming at the summer when the outdoor patio is open.
Kelly Chan: Ordered the candied pear arugula salad, Margherita pizza and funghi pizza. All tasted great. If you like mushrooms, the fungi was really nice - great depth of flavour and very savoury. Tomato sauce on the Marguerita tasted very clean - solid choice as well. Crusts were nice and thin, with a good chew factor. We came an hour before closing and it was still quite busy, but the food came out hot and fast! The interior of the restaurant is designed very beautifully, but due to the number of hard surfaces throughout, it was quite loud from ambient noise and conversations echoing.

Cyrus Lee: The mushroom pizza was fantastic and had great crust/toppings. The beet salad was pretty ‘blah’, there wasn’t much too it and wish we hadn’t bothered. Found their pasta dishes to be really oily. Will be back for pizza.
