Terrence Cheong: Great service when I first came in but when I went to open the boxes one of the lights were a wrong colour. Drove all the way back from downtown to Richmond to get the correct colour trim and Joanna would not give me the correct colour trim without the old one. Made me buy a whole new light and said it's not their fault that it was mismatched, claimed it was the manufacturers fault. Check all your lights before leaving because the sales clerks here won't be very helpful.
Matt Ferguson: Our bathroom vanity LED light burnt-out and I was concerned because it is a sealed unit (meaning you can't just replace the bulb) and I didn't know if I could find the receipt. A quick call to the store and they were able to find the purchase via my phone number, confirm it was purchased ~1.5 years ago, let me know it was under warranty and I could return it. 30 minutes later I was in the store and after a quick test, was on my way with a replacement. Really appreciate you standing behind your products and the friendly customer service.

Gurpreet KB: Vancouver Lighting exceeded our expectations! We built a custom home and needed decorative lighting for the entire home. We visited tons of lighting stores across the Lower Mainland but found Vancouver Lighting to be the BEST in terms of selection, quality and pricing. Shoutout to Roopi who went above and beyond.One of the fixture was defective but the electricians already installed it by the time we realized. We called Vancouver Lighting months later and they replaced the fixture with no problem.10/10 recommend this store!
Anna Koniarska: I purchased a light fixture and bulbs from here. I found the employee's were helpful and knowledgeable. They answered many of my questions. The fixture I purchased I am very happy with. Having shopped around, I find most of their pricing is fair. They were helpful in getting the correct size of bulb for a fixture I purchased elsewhere. This location is superior to their Coquitlam location, shop here. Their exchange / return policy could be a bit more flexible but thankfully I have not had to use it.

A. Maler: Extremely poor service. I drove out fromVancouver and paced around the shop for 20 minutes. The women working there ignored the customers the entire time. They hung out by the register on their phones. It’s a very strange way to treat customers. Most of us left without buying anything.The only reason anyone visits a lighting store is because they are specifically looking to purchase something, and willing to invest a considerable amount of money. But here you will be treated like you’re doing them a favour by coming in - and they are not interested in helping you.

Ted Lee: I went in intending to purchase a replacement for a 3 year old LED fixture which had failed. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to bring up my warranty records from my previous purchases. After testing my defective fixture, they provided a brand new fixture, saving me $200. I will definitely continue to shop here for all of my lighting needs.

Failed to use the correct words, we asked for clarification and her attitude was like she doesn't want to be there. She took a pause and her face reads judgement on us for not understanding her. No patience, not helpful.Got our email wrong, ended up not re entering one for our receipt.We wanted to check if our email was even entered, got a shoulder shrug and a smile saying "not my problem".

I arrived, felt a bit sketchy going up a weird parking lot at night to get to the entrance, but once I got in the team at the pickup counter and the Geek squad were super helpful with answering my questions and helped me bring my brew purchase outside to my car.If you want actual help, it’s worth coming to this location. Avoid the Station Square/Metrotown location.

Melissa Boulanger: Since you can't leave a review for their online sales exclusively I'll leave this here since it's the closest Best Buy to me. Purchased an item online to have it shipped to my address. They use Purolater as the shipping company who apparently doesn't leave shipping notices if they are unable to leave the package in the receiver's hands. And as Best Buy didn't provide a phone number for Purolater to call me at I was left with a package in limbo. Called Best Buy who told me to call Purolater of course and Purolater tells me the package is somewhere in their warehouse and will take upwards of 48 hours to track down and send back out. Totally unacceptable. When requesting the whole thing be cancelled and I just pick it up in store instead it was impossible. I was told I had to wait the 48 hours for Purolater to track it down and return it to Best Buy who would then take 3-5 business days to give me money back. So about a week's wait with no product and to get my money back. This is some of the worst pass the buck customer service I have ever experienced. And then the supervisor from Best Buy hangs up on you when you state your disbelief about how I can be out the product and my money with no resolution. Lesson learned, I will never order from Best Buy again.

Today, Prab being helpful did an awesome job finding not only the stylus pen but also the power cable included with the box. Considering his confidence and professionalism I believe he should be working at least as a supervisor.

Manju: I went to the store today to purchase laptop.Our associate,loveleen assisted me with the best options in my budget and was very friendly, knowledgable, and professional. Even though She has told us about the warranty plan . Its a great service by Loveleen.
K M: Usually the staff can answer my questions but last time that i went there i choose 2 computers/laptops to buy (after an hour of looking and deciding). Both computers were out of stock and there was no notification to the customer that they were out of stock or display only. When i asked if its possible to have a discount on the floor model- he said no, but that he would give me a free warranty. I walked away, was a shame because i was willing to pay and was excited to have my purchases. Waste of time.

Noah Vasquez: Waited an hour this morning before opening to be the first to get the new game released today (tears of the kingdom). A line of about 40 people gathered behind me and the one person infront of me. The store manager didn’t seem to care about a line so about 20 people gathered in a cluster infront of the line as they all rushed the till befor the people who had waited in line. You would think when a highly demanded release calls people to line up for over an hour the store would at least try to honour first come first serve of a limited supply. Ended up getting the game after fighting my way into the crowd 👎

I know he might be doing hard work but not at all professional, I felt judged at that point, well I just left the store and placed an order for pickup at another store🙄

Guilherme Guedes: Pretty standard Best Buy store. Very helpful and friendly service but some products like phone protection ones (glass, cases and others) are way more expensive than it should. You can easily find them online at half the price. But other psychs such as home electronics, gadgets and appliances are at a good price. You should always look for the offers though, they're very frequent but not always communicated, so you should do a price check before buying.
S p: EXTREMELY Pushy salespeople, and at the same time not knowledgeable about the products at all. Used car salesmen are like angels compared to some of these Best Buy salespeople. Worst part is that they INSIST that they are Not on commission, while literally doing ANYhthing to push you to buy...! I take it as a direct insult for someone to look directly into my eyes and lie so clearly and obviously into my face....Oh and I also had the pleasure of dealing with their Geek Squad for TV installation. After paying 350 Dollars for a TV mount, the first time they messed up the installation - they were nice people though. I had to book a second appointment which was scheduled for a few days later. The 2nd group who showed up at the 2nd appointment were so rude!!! And I ended up with extra holes on my wall and a TV which afterall was not installed at the height that I had originally asked for. Because they couldn't make holes too close to the holes that the first group initially made in the first appointment.In short, I describe their Geek Squad personnel as "Rookies". Definitely Not worth the 350 dollars to have a messed up TV mount and extra holes on your wall.

Hossein ShirMohamadi: Before shopping from Best buy, I contacted an agent to learn more about the HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 series printer online. They avoid pointing to its weaknesses, and then, because of their short return policy, I've been keeping a useless, costly printer due to the following weaknesses;1. The scanner automatically adjusts auto brightness on documents in photo or doc preset. So you cannot scan something in actual colours.2. It sometimes has issues connecting your devices, and you have to sign in to your HP account before using it. Requiring users to log in to an online account to use offline devices is annoying.3. Besides this device's high cost of inks, you have a few months to use your cartridges; otherwise, they'll empty.4. This printer is heavy and oversized, and it makes noises.Therefore, I will never shop from Best buy anymore.

Xyz Abc: Mandy is FANTASTIC. I came in to return an online order. For some reason their system showed one of the products had already been returned----I am guessing it had something to do with the price adjustment I got via a Best Buy live chat agent a few days prior. Mandy went the extra mile, she was super patient considering the slowness of their computers at the time, read through the live chat notes, and made sure everything was correct and proper. Wonderful customer service. I also appreciated Victoria's interest in and knowledge of computer parts and video games.
Paul Donnett: Best Buy’s increasingly antiquated customer service and financing leaves me truly stumped sometimes. Applied online for a Best Buy credit card today and got quickly approved. So far so good. So I drive to my local store, needing to buy a MacBook for my company. Get great direct service from the salesperson, to her credit. And the laptop is on sale, wonderful. But when I go to buy, I can’t, because Best Buy insists on sending you a plastic card in the mail. Apparently there’s absolutely no way up to clear my card even though I have proof in my hands that I’ve been approved. I ask if I can just reapply for the financing in store because the laptop is also on sale. Of course not, because then the system registers it as fraud. So I am given no choice, no options, no hold on the sale price for even a couple of days so I can come back and purchase it. I leave the store empty-handed. I don’t get a computer and they don’t get my $1600. Off to Visions and I’m cancelling my BB card.

haidar Alsaady: Had an open box return on a TV that just didn't fit our space the way we wanted. I had lost the original receipt and was worried that might cause issues. Customer service was excellent, reprinted my receipt for me and helped me quickly exchange the TV for a different one. The team leader was incredibly helpful and friendly. Amazing job!!
Mohammad Hosseini: In the mobile section, a rude guy lied to me about the inventory of a certain phone, and after asking the other employees and figuring out that the phone exists, they tried their best to not sell it. they behaved like I am fraudulent. I don't know what was the reason maybe they were all racist. and saddest part was that even the manager "Teri" didn't give a s**t about our problem.
Frankie Lamb: The sales associate in the cell phone section knows nothing. The unlocked Google 6a phone with no contract has $150 discount posted on their website for several days already and the associate kept insistingit's not on sale and was tryingto persuade me to sign a contract to get the discount. Don't shop at this store.

Sam S.: Was in dire need of a case for my new Samsung s23 ultra. Found a really nice Spigen case and found a price match at Telus. I was dealing with sales associate "Mandy" and about 10 minutes into the price match I asked her what the problem was as she scrolled up and down her phone. Didn't even bat an eyelash or explain anything to me. About 2 minutes later I informed her my parking was about to expire and I'd like to either make the sale or order online through Amazon. She immediately lost her cool blew up on me, informed me I couldn't talk to her like that. I think she may have been a little too woke.Regardless another sales associate came over matched the price immediately and I moved on with my day.I realize that it's tough to find good employees but you cannot have people like Mandy representing your company if they're going to be rude to the public.I don't also don't understand why it takes 12 minutes to price match a case that is being sold down the street at Telus. There's no shipping fees no conversion rates nothing involved it's pretty simple.Anyways I'm going to give Best Buy a one star for this encounter. My only advice to Best Buy would be treat your customers nicely or they'll just go online and buy it there with a simple click. If I wasn't in a rush, I would have done just that, next time I think I will.

Conor Davis: Tried to see if they had something in stock before taking time to go to the store. Talked to their online customer service to confirm the item was actually in store. After being reassured by online person it was, I went to store only to find out it actually wasn't in stock at all. Total waste of time.. then was told a neighboring store had it in stock. So I asked them to confirm that with me so I wouldn't have to waste more of my time. I checked the online status of this item which claimed it was out of stock. They claimed there was no way they could call the store to actually confirm it was there. Totally absurd. Complete waste of time. Don't worry I really enjoy paying for parking and burning precious moments of my life for nothing. I hope this store eventually folds like a cheap deck of cards.

Superpig 2001: I went to go buy a vr that u saved up for, cashier lady was really nice to be as I wasn’t sure how the quest 2 was and it was my first big purchase with my own money. I asked her if I could try the vr and if I didn’t like it if I could return it, she said “you can try the vr but you must return it within 30days and if you want you can get the extended warranty”. She kept on making me buy the warranty but it was 150$ and I didn’t have that money. I realized that the quest isn’t for me so I came back to return it u see 30 days and they are very rude, mik the assistant store manager was very rude towards me saying no one would ever say that to me and basically calling me a lier! They didn’t want to refund me at all and told me that it’s final sale once open. I was never once told it was final sale, not on the receipt, not on the box, only online in fine print. Never buy from this Best Buy they are a bunch of scammers who are very rude and just want the sale, don’t believe anything they say. The lady’s name was YIMM from best buy on Cambie in Vancouver Canada. The assistant store manger who was very rude was Mik. Karen McRae: Second time I purchased from this store. 1st experience in 2017, spent over 3,000. Service was great. My purchase today? Worst customer service ever. Purchased a 1400.00 chandelier off the floor and to give the sales rep time to pack it up I said I would return later in the day to pick it up. But they “ran out of boxes” so they packaged it up in an old Amazon box and a plastic bag!! Then told me repeatedly to lay a towel down when I unpack it…great. Parts were rolling out of the plastic bag just laying the bag down in the trunk. They gave the impression that they could have cared less if I shopped there or not, so in the future I won’t.

Alex Bullock: I bought a full setup of Legrand Adorne Wifi switches and dimmers from Luminosa a few years ago. They were very helpful and knowledgable with getting my order organized and verified (150+ pieces). Gabrielle Zeitler: This review is not specific to Park Royal Best Buy, but Best Buy as a whole.We purchased a dishwasher, the installation fee, and the haul away fee. When the contractors came, I mentioned to them that we paid to have our old dishwasher taken away as well (a separate fee) but they said they knew nothing about it. They then left without taking the old dishwasher.When we I contacted customer service at Best Buy to handle this, I was passed around to 4 different people before being told that only one department handled these inquiries, and that they can only be reached by phone (fine).I have called this department over 10 times within their office hours and they either do not pick up, or do not offer solutions. I have spoken to so many different people and no one has been helpful. We have even tried offering solutions, but they say none of them can be done. It has been a very frustrating experience and my old dishwasher is still sitting outside my house.

Didn’t end up getting it but when I was leaving I noticed they had 4 sets of joy cons priced at 21.99 so I grabbed a set because I thought hey they’ve gotta honour it especially if they’ve got 4 there. Went up to the cash to pay and then got told they’re 112.99 I refused and showed them the picture of the price it was posted at and they refused to give it to me at that price because the product didn’t match the tag. I brought up the fact that if it was still wrong they’d have to honour it and take 10 dollars off because it is a law, they still refused to give it at the price and I had asked for the manager. The manager walked over and was told the situation and they just nodded their head and didn’t say anything . Very disappointed in the service that was provided, if your staff knows that the product is in the wrong place then there should be proper tags for the products. I will not support this location of Best Buy. I have a friend that works at Best Buy and it’s posted in the back on a plague that if products are in the wrong place they must honour the pricing and taking 10 dollars off.

D S: Best buy has a lot of good deals, but money is better spent on amazon if you're doing an online order. Best buy uses Purolator and your packages almost never get delivered. Amazon actually delivers your packages to your door. With Purolator, you'll be chasing down your package, calling them and messaging them to ask them to hold your package at their location, after which you need to take the bus out there. This is REALLY inconvenient to Best Buy customers, I would suggest they review this and see how they can make it better! Perhaps the Purolator shipping information could contain a Buzzer Number field, and phone number field to help the drivers actually deliver the package? If you need a signature, you might as well just have them leave a slip and have the customer pick it up from a Purolator office. Purolator fails to deliver packages 9/10 times. Best Buy definitely needs to review this, because it's not working the way it is.

G S: Ex Best Buy staff here but I was at HQ, so I know how good they there in order giving good experience for their customers. Anyway, I can't remember during peak time do they store staff get additional incentive like sales commissions? The moment I step into this stores it's like lack of motivation. the staffs like more focus to chit chat among them specifically around mobile phone area. I still bought a phone cause of price matching or else would just walk away.
C Maxwell: I can see why Best Buy is going to go out of business. Went in on Boxing Day, there has to be at least 50 employees working but everyone is chatting up their colleagues. No one seems available to help and when we tried to check out we had to wait a long time to be noticed by the groups of staff. For some reason they closed the mall exit till like 10 minutes before closing? I get that it’s a holiday but for someone who want to support employment it makes it hard not shop at Amazon instead. Huge waste of time, effort and fuel.

After searching for 10 minutes, I had to locate it by myself.The cashier had no clue what their own price match policy is. I can understand if the employees don’t know every last detail about all the products in Best Buy as they have so many different lines. What I can not understand is a cashier who does not know their payment policies. He did not know what their tap machine limit was, and had to constantly intercom his manager for help. When I asked him about the return policy, he pulled out his phone to Google what the policy was.This location is essentially a self-serve station. There is no positive input from any of the staff, and it’s a better use of your time to do everything yourself. Best Buy please reconsider how your staff benefit your customers and business.This experience has deterred me from ever considering purchasing from Best Buy again. There are many other better retailers who can provide information and customer service in store.

Aman Nijjer: Worst service I've ever experienced. What ever you do, DON'T BUY THE EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN!! Their warranty is a scam. They charged me an extra $2300 dollars for a replacement phone and then sent me a broken phone. It looks new but it keeps rebooting on its own. Not seldom, some times it happens 4 times in one hour. clearly a broken phone. The replacement phone wasn't even the same color as the original phone. To top it off when I called the customer service they keep telling me there is no supervisor in today and they will call me back but it has been over a week and I still haven't heard back from them. What a horrible experience. I strongly advise not to use this company and what ever you do, DON'T GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!

He told me to walk over to Geek Squad (his gestures and body language made it seem as if I was going to hurt him lol).The guy working at Geek Squad told me to wait in the area I needed help at. I literally had to approach him for assistance. It literally took about an hour or so to wrap the whole procedure including all formalities + insurance process and selecting the phone accessories. The representative - Neeraj was kind enough to assist me with ease and explain the process. Also, there was some issue with my credit score in the system. He immediately called customer support and got that sorted. I am impressed with best buy service all over and would recommend trying it.

Ruth Tunney: Very disappointing experience. This might be a great store for interior designers to use as I assume they already know quite a lot about lighting and the look they are going for. However, for a customer with limited knowledge I found the store cluttered and the staff rude (with the exception of the person who tried to help us who was quite nice). They have very little in stock which means they need to order it in and it is then non returnable (with the exception of Canadian orders which have a 30 day return from date of purchase NOT date you receive item). They also seem to be commission based because we had a follow up question and we’re told we could wait for the salesperson originally helping us to “return from break”. My husband and I quickly left and went elsewhere to purchase lights. Would recommend this store only for generating ideas.

Normally these bulbs were available at Home Depot, however because they have been phased out. I’m glad Robinson has an extensive inventory to carry such a niche item. Definitely the place to go if you require anything lighting. Note: they provide each contractor an undisclosed volume discount.
Selena McLeod: Incredibly disorganized service, and all interactions have been very disappointing. First experience I came into the store with a light in mind to purchase, and the store is nicely layed out with a greaty many options to look at, however no reps approached me to ask if I needed any assistance until the store was about to close. The rep that did eventually help me out put together my order but asked me to return the following day to pay and they can box up the lights since it was closing time. That rep over-promised what would be ready for when I did arrive as nothing was ready and the order notes that I saw the rep add to the order no one could see. Reception was very rude when I was directed to them to pay, and then the receptionist just left me there at the desk leaving me to figure out by asking other reps on the floor that "oh, if you have paid then they will be bringing the product to reception for you". When the product was packaged for me to pick up, one light fixture was missing install instructions, and the order not completely put together. I think I spoke to 4 reps and a manager that day.Fast forward a few weeks and I really liked one of the lights I purchased and wished to purchase another. Was able to call in to order another one and pleased that it arrived quickly. Arranged over the phone payment for the light and was told it would be ready for pickup at reception. At arrival no one knew what was going on, it was all disorganized again with 5 reps all trying to help and figure it all out. 30 minutes later they finally released my purchase when it should have taken 2 minutes.I would give zero stars if I could, but 1 star works as their showroom does have a great selection on display.Wouldn't recommend.
