Konbiniya Japan Centre: what do users think?
jurgen Spang: We found everything we needed for our cooking adventures!
GLENNFLY Ho: 貨品相當齊全,價錢合理
Brad Marflund: They have stuff you need but pricey even compared to Fujiya or Sakuraya. Plus check expiry dates here! Too often we’ve bought stuff and get home only to see some items’ expiry dates are well past.
Sharon B: One of the best Japanese place I’ve beenThey have all kinds Japanese from beauty products + ready made food (onigiri) and ramensDon’t forget to try their crepes w ice cream! Best crepe I’ve ever had
Carson Leung: We are fortunate to have Konbiniya in our neighborhood! The moment you walk into the store it’s like you’re transported to Japan. I’m very grateful to the owner for creating this little slice of paradise on Robson.
Wai Wai Wong: Excellent place for Japanese snacks. Go there every week. Glad to see the new staff at the cashier smiles.
YVV Dude: Never buy origami rice ball at night. The rice is already hardened, kind of disappointed. It should be good when it was fresh.
Natasha Mehr: If I could provide ZERO stars, I would. The customer service at this place is sub-zero. I have witnessed rudeness by the old and grumpy owner in the past & just let it slip, thinking the old guy might be too tired, but hey, if you don't have patience, hire someone! The inefficiency and impoliteness we witnessed, made us finally make the decision to never shop at this place ever again! This place employs only two extremely slow female workers to make crepes and while they make crepes, they don't bother to have someone serve the soft ice cream from the machine which takes less than a minute for several ice cream cones while the two females waste so much time making a few crepes. It sure isn't a smart business choice, as they can make MORE MONEY serving soft ice cream cones every 30 seconds on a busy day, rather than WASTING 15 minutes to make a few crepes!!! Their crepes aren't the best either. Too bad the French Crepe shop closed due to the lock downs.Anyways, last Saturday, we waited over 15 minutes to get the ice cream the children wanted, as the two customers ahead of us had ordered four or five crepes each, and it took over 15 minutes for the workers to prepare their order, and the second customer was still waiting for her crepes that were being made in a sluggish pace while chatting on her phone & chewing gum very loudly, while children in the line got upset.Yet, there was no one to serve the soft ice cream to the poor kids waiting in the long line!!! Three kids decided to leave DISAPPOINTED without ice cream. Two mothers with children, could not wait any longer, and they too, left while their children got sad. A lady standing in line behind the customer who was waiting for the crepes asked the slow and RUDE Asian worker if they could get someone to at least serve the ice cream (which takes maybe 10 seconds for each cone), but the unprofessional said, "we are only two people here with so many crepes to make, and by the way, you should pay inside the store, and then come here and wait for your order".We got quite annoyed and left, and so did the couple in front of us. Never coming back to this pit again, as there are many other places serving delicious ice creams and other desserts in the area.
Keyvan Radbin: Nice foods here and getting to know with Japanese culture
Emi: I always make a stop here to pick up Japanese products I can't find in Alberta. Great selection of products and friendly staff.
Michelle MY: Best price for natto in the Vancouver area
Nicolas LAURENT: 夜遅くまで開いているのですごく助かります。うどん、米、中華の合わせ調味料などをよく購入しています。
Francesca Murray: A bit small on the inside but clean and lots to choose from, n friendly service.
Noah MacLeod: So awesome! Love it, definitely stop by if you're in Vancouver. I got my new favourite meal replacement here. This is 100% better than Mr Mike's.
Joaquin L: Wide variety of Japanese snacks and food.
Julie Bond: Fun, fun, fun.
Andrea J: What a fabulous variety of goods. Lots of candy and other choices.
Claudio Higashi: You have to try the oniguiri! Delicious and fair price!
Joana: Authentic Japanese convenience store. They have the biggest variety of items I’ve seen outside of Japan. A lot of the stuff is only marked in Japanese, so buying is a bit of a guessing game. The food we got was good though.I bought a skincare product there, before realizing that I couldn’t carry it back on the plane. They were nice enough to refund it even though I threw away my receipt.
Bryan Tung: Tons of great Japanese foods and drinks here! We love coming here when we visit to try and check out the Japanese items we cannot find anywhere else in Canada.

Sakuraya Japanese Supermarket: what do users think?
Jeff Christensen: Found everything I needed
Mayuna: I just had a very very bad experience! When I was looking around the store, the owner came and asked me to use shipping basket. Although I was looking for only one thing, of course I accepted what he said. BUT that’s not all, he also said by pointing at my IKEA shopping bag “Don’t put anything in your bag.”. I was very surprised and hurt because he thought that I’m gonna steal something. And I’m absolutely not. I’m so upset, because he obviously insulted me. He is a super rude person.Just let you know, the Japanese staff were very polite and helpful. They apologized for me instead of the owner! But I won’t forgive him ever! If you see him, you better tell him “I am not going to steal anything!”. I strongly hope the owner will change soon!
Ellen Wong: Echoing the other reviews here – i found the prices very reasonable. You'd probably find the best prices for the same product here compared the other stores in Vancouver. In terms of Japanese specialty food store, they're probably one of the biggest I've been to in this area. They have frozen and shelf-stable products and a few household cleaning products as well. I didn't see any cooked food, sashimi or sushi though. Location is relatively easy to get to on foot or transit. Didn't see parking, but I guess you could always just find street parking. You have to go up a short flight of stairs, lined with old greenish, mouldy carpet. It would normally sketch me out, but there are enough welcoming posters to reassure me. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
K L: Better pricing than any Japanese supermarket in Richmond. Well worth the time to drive there.
前川魁星: I couldn't find the supermarket, but I found Kim’s market instead
Sharon B: Bear inexpensive Japanese market. Cheaper than Fujiya + konbibya (downtown)
P L: Limited variety of items.
D: Lots of Japanese foods including fermented Natto and Kimchi. Aisles are v. narrow with lots of shelving crammed into a small space. Also an upstairs market with more.
Paul A: Great shop
Alex Montoya: I had a very good experience here. The products really are Japanese and the price is almost the same as in Japan so the experience is almost like buying from a store in Japan. The only downside is that there is almost no variety of the products, but I understand that it is nos possible to bring every product from Japan. I was actually looking for Melon soda, but only found Ramune (thet is kind of OK, but there are way better brands for Melon soda).I was also looking for dripping coffee, found one but I did not like it. It is a very good store, though.
Eric Constantineau: Good selection of Japanese groceries. They even have some うまい棒!
Jack X: The young girl and senior woman staff are terrible. Not polite and lazy and slow work.
Qume O: ペコちゃんのチョコレートがあったので子供達に買って帰りましたカップゼリーが安かったのでまとめ買いしました安心して食べられる日本の味でした
Binyu Xu: Good selection of Japanese stuff
Jogdish1000: Nice place to pick up some Japanese goods. Fairly limited selection, but covers most basics.
A Cey: Great store for Japanese grocery items. Prices are cheaper than Fujiya overall. The packaged bulk items are exceptional. The banana chips are so fresh and tasty and the best I’ve ever tasted.
Tori Belle Good: Great hidden store 🧡 $5.99 for these amazing Makukiyo's Crackers 🤗♥️
Chen Chen: Fridge sushi tasted too dry. Decent variety of Japanese products. Didn't try their fresh sushi but I will update this review if I do.
Jonathan Y: My dog's name is Sakura. This place has it all and most things are cheaper than fujiya.
Dylan Wagner: Very underrated! Huge selection of goods
Horigome: Putside may look a little old but the inside is pretty nice looking and has lots of Japanese foods for cheap.

Solomon Chong: Always love this place. Bought some uni and wife loves it. Some hard to find snack items here as well.
Evyn S: A wide range of Japanese goods. They discount their sushi at 5pm. I held the door open for a lady who then made a beeline for the Uni.
Marcus Ho: Good selection of snacks and drinks.
Lachesis in Elysion: A small yet tidy, well-organized , lively Japanese grocery store which I would like to call as a hidden gem! Love their fresh sashimi/sushi selection, especially uni (both BC and 🇯🇵imported) and bluefin tuna (from akami to chutoro and otoro). They also sell a variety of wagyu beef at reasonable prices :)A wide selection of culinary ingredients and snacks are provided as well.
Shannon Kim: Quite a few unique snack options that I haven't seen at other Japanese stoes but prices are higher than others (even for some common readily available snacks)
evourie: great selection of authentic japanese snacks and drinks. the sashimi is a bit pricey, but prices are often reduced near closing time. the staff are extremly helpful and kind. would recommend.
Mike S: nice place imo.
Emma Pedersen: This place is the best! I went to all the Asian markets in town looking for umaibo and a specific type of blueberry gum, they had it and way more amazing Japanese snacks, drinks, and grocery items! They also had an amazing selection of sashimi and wagyu beef
LiveLifeStrong: It’s a very cute Japanese grocery store with products you wouldn’t find in a standard supermarket.Having been living in Japan, I was surprised to find ingredients and snacks that I’d typically find in a grocery store in Japan, but also authentic ones like Yatsuhashi mochi from Kyoto.Bentos are a staple in Japanese grocery stores, and they have handmade sushi bentos and sashimi slices here which is nice to see.Their Wagyu is certified with a big golden trophy which is quite impressive.Overall, it’s a nice taste of Japan away from Japan.
Melody Yip: Always been a huge fan of this place. They have everything Japanese from snacks you'll never see at your usual grocery stores to fresh sashimi cuts. They even have meat selections like wagyu beef featuring both sirloin and ribeye cuts. The Japanese beef selections range from A3, A4 and A5 grades. The meats are prepackages in different cuts and come in all sizes. You can get the thinly sliced or in steak form. Mind you though, some of these prices go upwards of $1500 for the more premium cuts.Edit: Just tried their chirashi don for the first time and oh my goodness I am sooo impressed with the quality! A++++
Raymond Kwok: Always go there to buy fresh sashimi, snack and noodles all imported from Japan.
Sweets Fanatic: The store is very small compared to Izumiya, a similar Japanese store. However, this one is cleaner looking and has many things packed onto the shelves. There are a variety of candies and smaller snacks, and I was thankful that there was a sauce section where takoyaki sauce could be found. There are a few reasons why I gave this a three stars, mainly because the price is higher than the other Japanese grocery stores, I couldn't find the octopus flakes nor the Japanese mayonnaise that was low in calories, and the price label for the only thing that I was considering on buying was five dollars more than what was labeled.I went to Oomomo to compare the prices, and indeed, Oomomo had some stuff that were cheaper than Darumaya. Izumiya also had a wider range of miso to choose from.Aside from that, I've heard that the sashimi is very good at this place, but that's for another time when I will be near there.
John Phan: Nice selection of Japanese instant noodles
Munchica: Amazing quality to go sushi. Delicious crab, shrimp, and roe Inari sushi. Would definitely have sushi here again. Also, very authentic Japanese snacks. It's on the expensive side, but you do get what you pay for.
Sevan Jacob: Lovely little Japanese grocery store. They don’t sell produce but they have frozen imported meats and sashimi grade fish, lots of snacks, spices and staples. They also have a mini cooler where they make fresh sushi and fish power bowls. That being said, prices are fairly expensive compared to other asian grocery stores. Expect that you’ll be paying 10%-30% more for the same that item that you could get at Izumaya or even Walmart. All that being said, If you buy from them, you’re guaranteed to get authentic Japanese stuff, especially if you’re there to buy Wagyu beef or sashimi grade meats.
Andrew Fontes: Nice shop!
B Ess: This little unassuming Japanese snack shop inside the Walmart plaza has a front section (upper right hand corner near the entrance) where they sell Japanese wagyu beef! They also sell real Japanese Kobe beef that is registered and one of the few places in Western Canada that is licensed/registered for this. They have so many grades of wagyu, each on a tray. The only problem is their beef is more expensive than other Wagyu places. I think you pay more to know that it’s guaranteed from Japan. I do feel that A3 and A4 were just as comparable if not preferred over A5 (which dripped of beef fat lol).In addition to Wagyu beef, they also sell fresh sashimi. One time I also saw Hokkaido scallops and different grades of blue fin tuna from Otoro to Chutoro. All delicious!
Theresa: Love this Japanese market! They carry a lot of items that are not carried in other Japanese markets in the lower mainland. Good store for finding sweets and snacks of your fancy. Customer service is really good. Very much of an immersive experience of what’s it’s like to shop in Japan. Highly recommended
Rachel P: Small shop but a great selection of Japanese ingredients. They carry snacks, cold food, frozen food, sushi and Wagyu beef. Great place to stock on pantry essentials if you want to explore Japanese cuisine. Staff is always helpful and kind as well.
T Y: You can find Wagyu beef here!

Fujiya Foods - Vancouver: what do users think?
Ben Shen: Good food and services
Megan Veaudry: Great Japanese grocer. Hood selection of rice and I am sure they would have missed, vinegar, soy sauce etc. They also have a selection of ready to eat items like sushi, sashimi and teriyaki. These items are a bit basic, but tasty, and very reasonably priced and convenient.
Andy: So many options for a cheap and filling meal! It's a one stop shop with ready to eat foods, meats and veggies, and Japanese specialty foods. There's also a small area with tables and a microwave for eating in store.
Michael: Lots of japanese food and snacks. Also selling bento boxes.
Amy Truong: After so many years of visiting Fujiya they have remained a solid choice for me. I love visiting this location to pick up ready to eat items. Their bento boxes have a terrific variety of options and their sushi is made fresh daily. I picked a wide range of items for only $55! (Pic included)
Ron Wegiel: Japanese food and grocery products, good food
Sean Dadi: A must visit if you're not from here and like Japanese foods, sushi, premium green tea...
Julian Tu: First time Customer alert ⚠️ 📢My boyfriend brought me here to buy some sushi and raw Salmon/Tuna and I loved it.They have everything you need to make sushi 🍣They also have areas for frozen and pre-made sushi rolls. The negiotoro hand roll is my favorite and would get so filled. The curry is good too, but it has no meat, which I would have preferred.🍲I also love how they have carts you can push and add your shopping cart on top.The cost for everything is way better than going to a sushi restaurant.I go here every week or so now and love everything about this place !Would super recommend~
Taigi Maeda: One of the few places to get the staples to make Japanese food at home. Sashimi grade fish is always a plus. Not necessarily the cheapest place, but currently the most convenient based on my travel.
Jonathan Y: Legit provisions from Japan.
Hamid Attarzadeh: Food is very good for the price.
Tony L: Very rude people working here.
Keith Chan: Great place for Japanese groceries and ready to eat food!
Noah MacLeod: Oh my! I went in here looking for QP Mayo, and I left spending $50 at their lunch deli. Best inari pockets I've had, great nigiri, and the other stuff was all BUSSIN. MAKE ME HAPPY WHY DONT YOU FUJIYA FOODS???? Much, much, much, much, much, much better than Mr.Mikes.
Richard Leung: Getting more expensive
Sy Y.: 2023-04-08周六早上10:30到门口。好多东西呀!一大早就有人守在门口等开门。
Eva Tong: This place is exceptional for purchasing Japanese products. I would say the price is quite expensive though, but knowing some products you can’t buy it from elsewhere. I will still pay for the price differences.
Mabel black label: Good valve bento boxes. The parking lot bottle neck is slightly annoying though. Also it's a poke stop.
Hon Tung Lee: If you want to find Japan products! Come here!
Audrey T: Fujiya is a very nostalgic Japanese super market for me! They have a ton of Japanese groceries and ingredients, as well as a great selection of meals, sushi, donburis and bento boxes. The prices are still reasonable!
Alan Ngo: Where you can get authentic Japanese foods, ingredients. Prices are very competitive. Excellent place to shop.

Suzuya Japanese Market: what do users think?
Finn Leahy: Lost of hard-to-find Japanese products available
Jasper Lee: Very friendly staff and good collection of goods.
Sunny Huw: I always come here for GREAT JAPANESE food and drinks, delicious and high quality as always!
Josephine Ma: Suzuya is a Japanese market located right next to the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre in Burnaby. Although the store is small, it's got plenty to offer. You can find all manner of Japanese products such as Furikake, Kewpie Mayonnaise (including the egg free version), Morinaga brand pancake mix, frozen gyoza dumplings and ready made foods such as as sushi, onigiri and bento boxes in the refrigerated section. This place is an absolute gem! They make quite a few different flavors of Onigiri and at $2.49 each, they're quite reasonably priced as I've seen restaurants selling them for $5 or $6+ . I bought a bunch of different Onigiri to bring home and try with my family. Onigiri isn't something I've had much of in the past, but I think I'm starting to become a fan of Onigiri after eating the ones from Suzuya.Admittedly, the onigiri had a lot of rice and not that much filling. I've read that about Onigiri even from restaurants though, so I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that these were from a supermarket as opposed to being from a restaurant. What I like though is how compact the Onigiri is. It's very portable...like a sandwich. Being made with seaweed and rice, it's like a sushi sandwich. I find that the fillings stay in better and have less chance of falling out vs the fillings that one might put between two pieces of bread. My favourite Onigiri was the Kombu Onigiri. I'd never even heard of Kombu before but after eating the one from Suzuya I suddenly find that I'm a fan of Kombu now. Google tells me that it's from the kelp family and is a type of seaweed that's used for adding "umami" to dishes. Amongst the many goods that Suzuya sells, dried Kombu is one of them, which is great as their Kombu Onigiri has inspired me to try making my own Kombu Onigiri at home sometime!Service: GoodParking: Free parking on the streetLocation: 6688 Southoaks Crescent, Burnaby
James HAN: Good place with your family, lots of Japanese foods and items from Japan.
Stephanie Suehn: Very friendly staff with large selection of a little bit of everything. They have some really nice looking Bento and onigiri and a nice selection of tea. I will definitely be back because they also have a section for frozen ramen and frozen chashu.
M V: Great spot to get all the essentials and some harder to find Japanese grocery items!
Dennis Gursey: They have tasty Bento boxes and a wide variety of Japanese snacks - on top of many other imported products.
A Scott: A well-stocked little Japanese shop that my partner and I travel from Langley to visit. The employees are very helpful and friendly. They carry items like CC lemon, freshly made onigiri and bentos (make sure you go around noon!), and lots of Japanese ingredients for a really good price. I stock up on my Takenaka meitaiko cream udon and other ramen for quick meals, and grab the tamago blocks for homemade tamago nigiri or breakfast. Definitely worth the visit!
Kyrylo Mandrykin: Great selection of Japanese snacks!
Kevin S: Fantastic little place, has all my favourites and I keep discovering new ones! There's a little bit of frozen sashimi grade seafood in the back, they offer bento but I missed it on my visit. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Cole Davis: Favourite Japanese Supermarket, although prices are a bit high due to import fees.
Anir: My go to when looking for Japanese seasoning or ingredients. Staff are all friendly. There are limited street parking nearby and the store is pretty small so you may need to wait outside for few minutes when the store is busy.
Eugene Tang: Many great products to buy
R Es: Cool little Japanese market with fun snacks and really helpful staff. Fun place to visit if you’re craving Japanese stuff
Jason Tabo: Fantastic Japanese grocery store. Great friendly staff, great selection. My go to!
Hugo Nakamura: Many interesting japanese foods and drinks. Great place
Vivi Yeung: Got a bento from this place, not a lot of choices and they don’t heat it up for you. No napkins was given, only a pair of chopsticks. Had to heat it up back in my office, the pork chop was super dry and the rice was very soggy… will not go back for their bento.
P&C Life 2023: Wow what a great store, the people that work there just super nice. Thank you
YVV Dude: Like i go to some grocery shop around some corner of some tokyo suburbs.
Henry Du: A small but very well-stocked Japanese grocery store that features snacks, instant noodles, frozen foods, sauces, condiments, fruits, and etc. Love it here.

OOMOMO Japan Living: what do users think?
Hamid Attarzadeh: Nice place with unique and cheap items you won't find anywhere else. The staff are very nice and kind.
_-_-: Love this place! Things are mostly 3$ and they have a good variety of snacks. Not everything is 3$ though so please watch out when putting stuff into your cart! Although you would want to buy almost everything there which is tempting, they come at different prices. I got a lot of great stationary here for a reasonable price though!
Sadiqa Ansari: Staff is rude and seems angry at everything. It was store closing hours and the usual procedure is to close the gates 15 mins prior and not letting in anyone new. But the ones who were already inside do get billed on things they buy. I just had a single item to buy and the woman kept yelling no multiple times. Not going in ever again.
Octavio Rodriguez: OOMOMO Japan Living is yet another iteration of a very successful business model that other chains from Japan brought to Vancouver, among these DAISO, MINISO, etc. In all of these, the concept is similar to that of a dollar store; however, prices are higher than that, but still very affordable. Their 2 floor location on Robson Street is well stocked with a variety of items: housewares, kitchenware, office supplies and even a make-up and snack & beverage section. Quality is pretty decent, comparable to other similar businesses, always fun to check out their selection, worth a visit...
Jennifer S.: I found Romand lip tints and they were 5 -6 dollars cheaper than amazon!
Shannon Richmond: Very cool Japanese store! Street parking only, but it is an accessible store.Wide variety of products from beauty, kitchenware, school supplies, candies, home decor, toys etc. There Is a 2nd level accessible by stairs at the front of the store as well as by an elevator at the back of the store. We will go back for sure!!
Michele Barrett: Terrific variety of Japanese items: two floors with sooo much to view. Cute cute cute stuff here, decent prices for these imported products. Beautiful and practical housewares and fun gift items as well.
Abigail: Lots of reasonably priced items for beauty and home, I could take an hour browsing the aisles
Bing Z: Great selection of stuff!
Ava Yeganeh: A very amazing place where you can almost find almost everything.
American Diesel SA: Nice store
Susie: Terrible quality things, don’t waste your money here
Rene Wang: I really didn't want to leave a bad review because I think the store is cute, and I usually love stores like this and try to support small local businesses. But I feel like it's important to warn people. We visited the store and bought 8 soy sauce plates. I was on the fence about them and didn't love them. Since I was only 60% sure about the plates, I wanted to make sure they are refundable. So I specifically asked the check-out clerk about refund policy and she confirmed with me that they have a 1 month refund policy. And then I doubled-checked again and she confirmed it's refundable in 30 days. I thought ok if there's a 1 month refund period, then I can buy them, and go home and think about it.At the end I still didn't love them and didn't want to keep them. My husband brought them back to the store within the refund period they told us about. They were all completely brand new. I didn't removed any of them from the original packaging and none of them was ever used. And the store now changed their tune and said that all sales are final and no refunds for anything they sell.If they were consistent and upfront about their no-refund policy when we purchased the products, we wouldn't have been unhappy and would've respected their policy (I wouldn't have purchased them). It just feels very dishonest to tell the customers that there's a 1-month refund period to lull us into buying the products and then take it back. It felt dishonest. It's very unfortunate because I LOVE Japanese stores like this (I LOVE Muji and Daiso) and was hoping this would be a new store I could frequent (we did buy quite a few items from them). But we will not be going back.
N HAYER: Great product selection and service
Erica Fritch: Fun, cute, unique gift and home decor items.
Lindsay K Reid: Just stumbled on this place and I found lots of cool little things - great for stocking stuffers!
Wu Hong hong: In this store you can find some interesting things
Holly: So cute! I want all the items haha
Jo W: You can find a lot of housewares here
loxanoxa: I loved this place. I dropped like 50 bucks on kitchen gadgets and candy 🤫🤪

OOMOMO Japan Living: what do users think?
Nora Yung: The male staff at check-out counter is so rude…
Daniel: The most disqualified assistant manager or just the manager. This place has some issue that’s been ongoing. Their products have no price tag on the back, which means prices reflects on the ones on shelves but price tags for some items are missing, especially expensive ones. I don’t know if they did it on purpose as their sale strategy. The manager blames that customers are the ones that are responsible to ask for prices of each items and get price confirmation from him before we pay for them. He also needs to learn how to have appropriate conversation with customers, not arguing with them. He doesn’t even try to solve issues, he just fight over a customer. He has such a great talent of making his customers overwhelmed.
David Nicolas: Nice Japanese dollarstore. Always walk out with stuff I didn't go in for.
Z baloch: Very nice stuff from Japan I go for my cooking utensils need and find whatever I want very reasonable prices..
WK: Not able to find the product I want. They do have a good varieties.
Mark: Nice goods. One cashier in particular is extremely miserable. Acts like they are doing a favour.
Yuki Tanaka: I am very disappointed in the service at this location not only did they have improper shelf tags on their shelves that did not properly represent the prices of their product, but they also had an inventory sign located in the centre of the store instead of the front of the store and expected customers to be able to see it, even if they weren’t going through that section They then argued the price of a product with me after charging me seven dollars for a letter set where the shelf tag said $2.75 then proceeded to tell me that their inventory sign that was placed randomly in their store said that if there’s no price on the back then it’s reflected on the shelf tag I didn’t ask them how they expected people to see this when it is literally in a random spot in the centre of the store. It’s not even high enough that you could see it from across the store on the pillar they eventually gave me 10% off of my whole purchase which was two dollars and then after I left, I check the back of the product that I purchased and there was no price and then when I called them to have a conversation with them about it because they technically still owed me money back , they decided to argue with me again I will never shop at this location ever again. This is the most horrifying customer service experience I’ve ever had and I work in retail. Not only did they also try to tell me me being a Japanese person and my boyfriend also being from Japan that this was Japanese style I was so horrifically offended not to mention the fact that my boyfriend had to argue the difference in the level of customer service between what they were doing, and what was expected in Japan. They tried to blame their disorganization on our culture.
Lily Zhang: Chaostic and disorganized , a small tiny groceries store .
Juana ordonez Sanchez: Is naist es tor they have naist estas
King Ma: Great store with huge selection of inexpensive essential, household items, etc. It's like Dollarama but better with more choices. Love some of their unique items and Japanese stuffs. Clean and well organized shelves.
Jamie Chu: This location was cramped and kinda unorganized. The signs were hard to see which made it hard to find things.
Dragan Baskalovic: Should have more staff to help navigate.
Jonathan Bridges: Awesome store, nice staff.
asianboy baj: Lots of Japanese snacks and drinks choices. One thing that got my attention was how cheap their charging cables was! I bought a USB C for 3$ whereas if you go to other places like bestbuy, shoppers or London drugs, the prices of these can go up to 10 times more expensive.
Sly Walker: Some awesome candy I mostly get Pocky's though
Kata J.: The store has a high variety of Japanese items, every time I go there I am fascinated but all the items.
Min Chong: All kinds of awesome stuff, love it so much here.
Owen Post: Lots of cool Japanese items
Kindred: Im insanely into Japanese anything, be it culture, tradition, food, utensils, appliances, you name it.So once a Japanophile like me realizes that a store like Oomomo exists, my braincells cant help but explode with happiness just seeing the place. This Metrotown location although small is actually decent in size nonetheless, its got quite the assortment of treats/snacks, ingredients, drinks and candies, definitely a must see if youre into Japanese delights. They also got the nice assortments of accessories like mitts, beanies, footwear, scarfs, socks and glasses(non prescription ones(theres a couple blue light filtered glasses). They even got some nice everyday household trinkets or whatever you call it, with some other neat little whatevers like hangers, bath scrubs, sponges, little trash cans, chopsticks, silverware, plates and bowls...But for me, their stationery and office appliances are my favourite, they got some modular office storage compartments and stationery holders, display cases, book holders, binders and all in between. They even got really cute stationeries like pens, pencils, scissors, pins, sticky-notes, erasers and the like. My MOST favourite however are their little area of artist/calligraphy brushes/pens.This isnt important anymore but as an ink artist, I do highly recommend their calligraphy brushes and their hybrid plastic-nib-brush pens, for 6$ and below, youre essentially getting quite the good deal, I highly recommend checking out the pens if youre an ink artist.Hell Ill recommend it overall of course.I also forgot to mention they have this friendly cashier, really cool guy.
Serena Ge: The price of the item was clearly labelled to be $3. At the cash register, it scanned in at $3.75. The cashier made me walk him to the item on the shelf and confirmed that it was mislabeled and it was indeed showing $3 on the shelf. Refused to honour the $3 labelled price. What was the point of making me walk to the shelf to show him if he wasn’t going to honour the price labelled? Waste of my time honestly.
Pan Deng: I had been enjoying visiting the store with its variety of goods until today when I received the worst customer service ever! Bought a small flippable plastic dustbin can 10 days ago which was completely sealed with plastic covering so I didn't open the covering to check if it was functioning, assuming that there wouldn't be any issues. However, when I opened it back home, one of the hooks on the flip was off: the flip cover didn't function at all. I didn't go back to the store immediately as it was closed already. I didn't want to visit the store for the return alone in the next few days so I waited until today when I did my groceries nearby. When I brought up the issue to the cashier, he refused any refund bluntly pointing to the "no return" notice at the bottom of the receipt. I argued that it was already broken when I opened it first time at home. He called his manager who came out and said it was too long ago. How could I prove that it was not broken by myself? She said the return was only possible if I opened it right away after purchase and found it broken. There was nothing she could do. Be sure to check everything thoroughly before you take anything out of the store. There is zero trust on the customer! I might have been spoiled by other stores with superb customer service to take it for granted that it is table stake for a store to survive. Apparently I was wrong.

Kim’s Mart: what do users think?
Megan Veaudry: Great, affordable veggie selection. Excellent made in house kimchi and gimbap (Korean rice rolls, like sushi)
james Chao: Price is reasonable, Staff are friendly
Skyler Sauer: great selection. imported from japan so a little pricy but worth it
Divine Grace Channel: One of the cashier has an attitude... bad attitude.
Lydia Xia: Small, Korean grocery store located in the same building as a Japanese convenience store. Good selection of (mostly) Korean snacks.-1 because it's small, a little dingy, and sometimes the produce isn't the best.Overall a decent neighborhood spot for Asian groceries.
Ellen Wong: Lovely and very fairly priced Korean store. Mostly has food and not the selection of household or beauty products that larger stores like Hannam or H-mart have, and prices are slightly cheaper. I appreciate that they will honestly label products that are close to expiration date and on sale, instead of just calling it a store special like H-mart does.
시드스튜디오: 위생불량으로 문닫았다고 해서 여지껏 김치 사먹고 반찬 사먹은것에 후회가 드네요..
xYuzyx: Love this place. Cheaper than H mart and have nice produce.
Catherine Chen: Kim's mart is the best place to go to if you want any type of good affordable Korean groceries. They also have the most flavourful kimchi ever with a wide selection of produce. The workers are super friendly and the store well-organized!
Zoe Selena: Love the remodel of the store and their prices are always way better than other stores on the area but begging them to stop wrapping everything in plastic and styrofoam
Helen S. Lee: They have renovated with new shelves and wide corridors between shelves... it's very pleasant to shop there now.
Seung Won Lee:
Tony C: Really liked this place came here often, but always thought it was a tad dirty over at the fish and meat areas. Went today to buy something and looks like health inspectors closed them down 😯😯
Shelby Ortiz: CheapQualityCoupons after 50 spent
vancity webdesign: Steak, hot pot meat, grilling meat, pork bone soup, snack and drinks they have it all!!!
Robin Choi (지우아빠): 고구마 🍠 강추!
Gloria Duong: Bad customer service! I have told and shown the cashiers the wrong price (sale price), and none of them care! They just ignored me and finally fixed the price without any apology!
K Cheung: The one stop Korean grocery store. Quality meat, Korean sauces, grains, noodle etc. all the real stuff you need to get the authentic dish you make at home. Don't forget to grab a quick bite there, their kimbap is priced right and they are yummy! I saw classic Korean dish Bossam available at cooked food section.
Najm Chaarani: Convenient store with good prices, fresh food, nice $2 coupons for $50+ purchases. Cahiers are nice.
Emily Do: Still Needs some improvement store atmosphere as well as cleanliness but it is a very affordable store to buy many Korean food products
Marlene Jan: Fresh produce, meats and a good variety of products.

Alicia Buck: I freaking love this place-- it's full of useful interesting items for the house and the prices are cheap! I just got some mini shelf inserts to put in my cupboard which made my spice cupboard a total dream to use. I also love their selection of Pocky sticks and other Japanese snacks!
Alaa Al-Musalli: A special thank you to Mandy for getting my order from the main branch and keeping me posted by email until I received it. Great customer service when I picked my order up, too. Thank you, Sharon and Stella!
Ricardo Andraus Portugal: Great
Claire M (ompfafa): Love this place. Staff are so polite and adorable. They're very keen to make sure you have everything you pay for when you pick up online orders but they're so organized and through I do appreciate it! Can find all kinds of gems here, especially dishware and stationery.
Seonjae Im: It's like daiso but little cheaper.
Todd Kahtik: Nice little store with a big variety of simple items.
Saei Ranjbar: It's like Mini-So or other stores like that
My Boss: Lots of Japanese things there.
Vince Chan: Many Japanese products.
Florencio Tolentino: Very well organized store with good merchandising and prices are reasonable we purchased a Japanese rice bowl and Japanese noodle bowl which are all made in Japan. Staffs are so friendly and ready to assist you and answer your inquiries.
Part Time: Lots of items, reasonable pricing, great staff
Brad Ward: Store is very organized and clean. Only downside is that the AC was on full blast in December. Also Lougheed Mall might now win an award for most ghetto mall in North America! Congrats all! Great team work!
Simon Gee: Love this place! Perfect to grab good quality loonie store type items. Great selection of merchandise.
bela narang: Nice!
James McLeod: Momo was the name of a dog a friend of mine had a long time ago. He was a majestic beast who loved process meat and farting under the dinner table, so I suppose we had a bit in common. When I saw this spacious and well stocked boutique in the Lougheed, I wondered if Momo would approve...surely he would!!

Oomomo Japan Living: what do users think?
Avina Chan: No deodorant, only deodorizers. I am very sad.
CJ BlueSky: I like to come here to find cute little things.
Myrna Osuna: De todo un poco y buenos precios.
Aric: This place has mostly Japanese items at cheap prices! ! ! The items are very complete, there are two floors in total! There are snacks for sale, and stationery is also great!
SS T: 雜貨品齊全
My Boss: Family fun place to shop Japanese products.
Man Kwok: Japanese dollars store. So much varieties to choose from.
Ann K: The cashier was unfriendly.. You can still hear Japanese songs there. .. Annoyed
ruby fan: The cashier on the first floor was particularly rude. April 21, 12:00 time period. The conversation is also very unfriendly .
Jeremy Ng: The selection and variety of Japanese or japanese themed goods is second to none at this mall. Highly recommended to visit if interested in small japanese goods and snacks.
Kenneth Lai: Besides various lifestyle products, Oomomo has multiple brands of Japanese candy and snacks.
King Ma: Great Japanese store with huge selection of inexpensive essential, such as household items, clothing, kitchen equipment, foods, etc. Really love some of their unique items and Japanese style stuffs. Clean and well organized shelves. There's also Canada Post inside.
Mic Fok: 品種多,但多是家用品,有部份貨品較優
Adrian Mandy: Not your typical dollar store, lots of very cool Japanese items. Very good value for kitchen wares and stationery supplies.
spaceBunny: Not nearly as good as it used to be since it switched companies.Prices are hit or miss, either prices are reasonable or overpriced.I don't mind the new brand and I have found some great items, just a bit hard to find certain things because of the new layout. The selection of snacks used to be very good but now it's more limited. Sad to see Daiso go away.
Bill Mok: Our family love to shop there.
Abby: I LOVE IT THEREEEEEE
Daryl S.: Used to love it when it was Daiso but now it's getting its slowly getting own character. Almost no items are $2 anymore and all the Daiso brand merchandise was gone but some came back. The new actual daiso stores aren't like this one used to be so at this point you can't go wrong with either.
Gauss Minigun: Never felt so kawaii in my entire life
Gigi Lui: I accidentally broke a glass cup while waiting in line for the cashier.A floor worker came and he had genuine concern for my safety and asked whether I was alright.I said I was, and offered to pay for the damaged merchandise. He said I did not need to and was glad to know I was fine, then proceeded to sweep up the mess. I really do appreciate this gesture and kindness from him as it was an embarrassing moment for me.While going to check out my items, a cashier woman was adamant I pay for the glass, it was 3.50 dollars. I didn’t mind even after being told I didn’t have to. It was my mistake anyway. But the fact that she didn’t even make eye contact with me and kept asking my cashier to ring me up repetitively for another glass even when the cashier had already understood the instructions and so have I.It felt as though this was some sort of strange power play, I hope she feels better and would perhaps work on her customer skills. I’ve worked cashier and this really isn’t how things should be handled.Good on you.Anyway, the items in this store are pretty unique and cute, for a good price. But the service was a bit confusing to me.Thanks.
Cecile Marie: Love this place. They have some great deals on lots of items. They have a reward program so they are always giving me free stuff. Parking can be a challenge.
