I suffer from a lot of structural ailments and my posture has been a chronic issue. Adam has developed a personalized program that not only accommodates these issues, but also aims to strengthen and build other sexy parts of my body (like my lats, quads, abs and glutes). I am certainly motivated to go to the gym now because we touch base frequently through text messages and he is encouraging as I drag myself to train, to eat properly (bah!) and to get back on the horse when I falter, fail and start beating myself up. Getting fit and staying healthy is no small task! And training with Adam, I certainly feel like I am getting the most out of working out. I appreciate Adam's expertise in the area of physical health, his thorough understanding of nutrition and how it affects my training and goals. I love her focus on functional movements, since those help my daily life as a busy healthcare professional. I now look forward to going to the gym 5+ times a week and enjoy seeing my progress. When I parted ways with my fitness coach (who gave me a lot of stress), I contacted David to help me out.It was just 3 weeks before the fitness competition, which was going to be the first time for me to enter.He kindly gave me 2 options.To save my costs, it’s not a good idea for me to bring him to the competition venue, but he can support me via video when I am at the backstage.The second option was to have my picture taken by a professional photographer so that I have the pictures forever!!He gave me the contact information for the photographer, and I emailed him. However, I could still not give up as I had devoted myself to enter the competition for the last 6 months.Then, I remembered that there is a female fitness instructor who I have read about her competition experience online in David’s Facebook friends. So, I contacted her saying I am a friend of David…and explained to her about my situation. She was also very helpful and kind, and introduced her coach to me immediately.Because of this new coach, I managed to compete in the competition! I can’t say thank you enough to all of them who helped me at the last minute!I believe that good people have good connections.Thank you, David. If I had not contacted you, I would have given up everything, and I would have been very sad. You are amazing!!

Mike Hillmer: I was introduced to Turnfit by David Turnbull who at the time convinced me to come in for an introductory session with him and Turnfit. The first session was wonderful as David asked me all sorts of questions including what I was hoping to get out of my workouts with them. Nearing the close of the first session David told me that if I continued with them he would partner me with Ben one of his trainers. This is one of the biggest benefits of Turnfit, they have a trainer to match every type of person and personality. Instead of a trainer trying to take all clients for himself, David was more concerned with making sure my experience matched my personality. I couldn't be happier with his choice, Ben is a perfect match for me and watching some of the other Turnfit trainers I can see why he was such a good match for me but that one of the other trainers would be a better match for someone else. Every client-personal trainer unit gets a unique, completely segregated work area for the time they are together. Physical distance from others is high, and 100% of people wear masks. Strongly recommended.

C M: Laurey at Rep1 is an excellent trainer! She always plans a high intensity workout that is at the perfect level for me, and the exercises change every session to give me new challenges. I am really glad I decided to try out personal training with Laurey - it has been a big boost to my physical and mental health!I checked out a few gyms offering personal training before choosing Rep1. The atmosphere at Rep1 is very welcoming to all ages and fitness levels. To keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, each client gets their own station to train (it is a large facility, so it is easy to practice physical distancing, even with multiple clients working out at once), masks are mandatory at all times, and the trainers have a gap between client sessions to give them extra time to sanitize the equipment. I look forward to continuing my training at Rep1.

Lance W: Steph is great at what she does and lives the life too!Helped me with nutrition, set up goals and a great workout routine.And training with her is motivating, she pushes you hard at the gym and wont let you give up and keeps you going non stop. And I got actual noticable results training with her.Never left a session with her without feeling great and that I accomplished something.I would definitely recommend her.

Richelle Lubin: I first met Stephanie in the summer of 2017 - I joined her boot camp looking to get back in shape after having my fitness efforts derailed by some health things and reaching a frustrating plateau.From the very first class, it was clear that she knew her stuff and that she was there to give me the right balance of support and challenge. If I couldn't complete an exercise she was ready with a modification appropriate to my specific limitations and the needed push to keep going when I felt like giving up on myself.Not only did I come through boot camp feeling stronger I also came away with a much better understanding of my body and with tools to maintain a healthy fitness routine. There are things that she taught me back then that I continue to use and which help me to stay strong, healthy, and safe in my fitness endeavours.I highly recommend Stephanie!! And if you're on the fence about it - talk to her about your reservations. I did and I have no regrets.
