Maryam Moghaddas: We have checked a few other piano stores. No other piano store or piano sales person made us feel in a musical candy land as Yana did. She plays music with authenticity and cared for us to get the piano that we desired. The show room is closer to any home feel in comparison to other stores. We picked/payed a entry-mid level piano but since the stocks were delayed due to Covid, Yana talked to her boss and they instead gave us a mid-advanced level piano with a different price point with our original price. At the end it’s not about what the deal we got but about the experience we had to get our new piano that is going to be party of our lives for at least next 5 years or more. Thank you Yana for not selling us just a music machine but giving us a musical experience to be part of our everyday lives.

Chuck Chang: The pianos are amazing, and the staff will take the time to explain all the details and differences between each piano. They also have a wide selection of different brands. So, you can compare them and get a feel on how to each piano has its own character. While beginner players can get by with a good digital piano from Costco, intermediate and advanced players will want to visit a piano store to find out what kind of piano suits them the best. I like how Showcase Pianos has already taken the time to filter out pianos only suitable for beginners to make the process of finding the right piano a little easier.

Dominic Rechner: A few weeks ago we were tasked with moving our family upright grand to a new family.Living in the neighborhood, I reached out to Pacey's piano moving to help us out. We were under a schedule to move our mum to an assisted living establishment. I called over and over, emailed Pacey's and was not able to get a specific quote or booking while the time was passing by. I even went to the establishment and met with a very nice technician to give him all the information. We were forced to find alternate movers on short notice and fortunately it worked out with an alternate fantastic piano moving company.

I called out of the blue having no actual business to do with this store, and a very kind women took the time to answer my question as well as provide me with some additional information that was very helpful. Delivery & 1st tunning were covered from the purchase price. Delivery guys from Music Box & piano tuning by Bob Wilson are highly trained professionals. Highly recommended to others looking to buy new or 2nd hand pianos. We would definitely go back to Pacey's if upgrading our Piano in the future!

Kaiser: They scammed $1000 from me. After promising I can get a full refund for my deposit, they stalled it for months when I asked for the refund, then they later denied it. But they stalled it just long enough that the charge back period is over. Absolutely the worst business practice I've ever seen and I won't be buying any instruments from them. Have fun with my $1000 you scammers.

It was the one i was looking for and I visited more than three times just to make sure. Luke the store amanger and the team were very patient with full of knowledge. Carlo Santos: I visited Loewen Piano House during a trip to the Vancouver area. I was pleasantly greeted by Diana, the receptionist at the front. Luke, the store manager, came to me after I tried some of their pianos and welcomed me to play anything in the store. I can say that their pianos are well regulated, tuned and their prices are very reasonable. Plus, the people are all friendly and welcoming unlike a certain store located downtown on Granville Street. Loewen Piano House would have my business if I were a BC resident.

Julia Zhou: I went to Music Gallery on Dec 28 2022 looking for a ukulele. Regina was very patient and helpful. She let me try a few back and forth, played for me to compare the sound and gave me professional advice on which one to choose. After staying at the store for an hour and half, I eventually decided to pick the concert ukulele which sounded louder and happier, and of course more fit for my hands. Regina also introduced a beginner book and suggested me to do some self-learning before I went to the private lesson two weeks later. I did follow her advice, and started to read the book. I can't stop playing for a few hours each day ever since and now I can play "Sweet Sweet Home" while chanting. It is so much fun. Thank you Regina!

The owner threw the problems to customers and said that it has nothing to do with them.The saleswoman arranged a tuner for us. On the day, tuner didn't show up in the morning with no calls. After 1 hour late, the tuner Ben called and said he couldn't come. We arranged 2nd time at the same day in the afternoon. The saleswoman reminded tuner half hour ago before the time, that he would be on time, but he didn't show up at 3 o'clock and there was no phone calls again. He appeared around half hour later, because we had to go out, and we told him earlier. I asked the tuner if I should arrange another time because of lack of time. He said no, he can do it. I said let me ask my partner. Tuner walked away and left!So that day, I didn't get the piano tune, and I waited for him for several hours.I got messages from saleswoman that the owner has already paid to tuner. She asked me to deal with that tuner, because they have already paid the tuner guy. The owner won't do anything more. Isn't that weird?The tuner was found by the owner, not by me. When the issues come up, why I have to solve the problem with him. I don't know why their company would find this kind of tuner to their customers. We have a bad impression of this services. At the end, the tuning never got done.

Sanaz: Excellent experience with them for tuning our piano. The lady (Natalie) came and spent 3 hours from 9:30 am to 12:30 to tune our piano. She was so nice and expert. Highly recommended for tuning your piano.They are not so good at caring their customers though. They are about closing their North Vancouver location but have not informed their students until I called them to follow up with the upcoming classes that I put my son in the waitlist. They told me they are going to close their branch soon and this news shocked me as I have not received any email, phone call or news from them.

So they still wanted $829.Used, no box, no manuals and they'll only knock off $20? Ridiculous waste of my time. Might as well pay full price so I know what I am getting.

S: I would not recommend getting your guitar tuned up here. I was billed $669.30 for repairs done without my consent.I was originally quoted around $150 for a small service suggestion, even though my initial reason for coming in was to simply buy new strings and have them put on for me.I found out later that Long & McQuade commissions a part-time technician (Jake) that took my instrument to their home to repair. This could also explain why it took so long to get my instrument back.I had 2 very unpleasant interactions with the repair technician over the phone. Jake was very rude and entitled on the phone. He suggested around $250 worth of repair, so I needed time to think about it. In the end, I called them to give them OK for a $250 repair, as I naively trusted they had reason to believe this was necessary.3 weeks later, I receive a bill that my guitar is ready for pick up, at $669.30!I called the manager right away, and he lowered the price back down to the original quote of $150. The repair description was very loosely described and printed on a small receipt, not even a real piece of paper. Very questionable billing.

Derek Bluespeed: The estimate is not professional and reasonable.I was trying to sell my used Yamaha YU5 in Nov 2021. It was manufactured in Hamamatsu, Japan, in 2001. Mr. B( I do not want to publish the name) gave me $850.00 as his offer. After sending in all pictures and serial numbers etc.I don't think it is reasonable, and I do not believe the estimate is professional. The next day, another piano shop in the same city paid me $5300.00 for this piano. Alex Gee: An excellent and highly positive experience!I am pleased to leave a great review for Showcase Pianos and its owner Manuel where my family had purchased our first grand piano.Both stores are filled with a large variety of piano brands and Manuel was very patient who took the time to allow me time to demo any piano (even the Fazioli grands!) for as long as I needed with no pressure at all.I was very satisfied with the staff and they are not only knowledgeable about their products, but are very polite and helpful. I told my friends to visit Showcase Pianos and they had a wonderful experience as well. The manager really listens to what my family's needs were and his staff were able to narrow down a few pianos for me to decide on based on my budget and piano skills. As an university student looking to replace an old piano, I was very keen on trying quality pianos that will not hurt my family's budget. I ultimately special ordered a piano that was fit for me and my sister's level of playing.Despite a delay, the piano arrived in perfect condition and Manuel was very pleasant to offer a slight compensation for the ordeal.Overall, my experience was very positive and I hold high regards for Manuel and his staff. My family is very happy with the piano and I highly recommend Showcase Pianos.

Ronald Driscoll: From out of town, called at 2:50pm on a Saturday cuz need a few things, dude said closing at 3 but what are you looking for? Said never mind. But happened to drive right by the store at 3:15 or so, ppl inside said “Just slide the gate aside” and let me in. Cool ppl. Cool store. Bad Cat head and cab lookin inviting, then Glen (owner) shows me a row of Custom Shop LPs in cases, *all* 59s. Said he went to Nashville and picked them out. Nice. Wish I had more time and brought something to trade. But next time I’ll be ready! Seems like a pro clientele, but friendly to whoever comes in. And the ppl hanging out in the shop after hours was just, well, like musicians do. Highly recommended.
Mike Rae: Brought in my headless silent acoustic for a difficult setup as the bridge needs to sit perfectly flat with the mic in the guitar. They were honest with me that they didn't have the immediate ability to do it but offered to take my guitar to someone with the specialized equipment needed. They had it back to me within a week and it plays perfect. They went over and above to help me out, I'll absolutely come back.

In fact, them and everyone else over there treat customers like family.I had just arrived at Vancouver and wanted to get myself an acoustic-electric. I am more of a beginner-intermediate player, but knew absolutely squat about getting a good guitar along with accessories. Glenn was more than happy to show me around, like the different price ranges, types etc.. and was more patient than my late 92-year old grandfather. I chose one of the mid-range Alvarez and it sounds simply amazing.They made coffee for me, and since it was Glenn’s birthday, Shannon also offered delicious icecream cheesecake! Oh and Glenn threw in a guitar bag and some picks gratis. They even invited me over for lunch etc. anytime. Even my mom hasn’t shown me so much love.Again, I was more than happy and would be dropping in sometime. It’s hard to find good people in life, but the people over there are definitely them. I am so glad I went there and if you are thinking about it, you should definitely drop by too.

C C: About 20 years ago someone asked my dad to throw away a guitar for them, he thought it was cool so instead he kept it in the basement for a couple decades.Since it turned out to be a 1978 Martin D-18 I brought it to West Coast to see what could be done about the body cracks, twisted neck, broken tuners and messed up frets. Thankfully they were able to save this guitar and make it play like new while keeping the "rescued from the dumpster" style I wanted to maintain and they pulled it off under budget! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out and I will definitely be bringing all my guitar repair needs to them.

J: Update: No greeting or acknowledgement whenever I walk in, the staff just look at the desk when it's right next to the door...honestly unwelcoming and borderline disrespectful. Best product selection in Richmond for wind instruments, pianos, and guitars. The trade in policy is bad: they only give credit, not cash; you must immediately purchase goods 30% above trade in value (Long and McQuade does not do this) - they did not disclose this on the phone before I spent money on gas to visit. Group lessons are ok, instructor quality varies.
Samantha Lin: Don't shop for pianos here the service is horrible. We went in for 20 minutes to try their selection, and 3 staff members sat at their desks on their cell phones and not one person even looked up to say hello, never mind offering any service. Run out of there as fast as you can!!!

Online it said it offered exactly the reeds I needed to sound as good as I usually do, but only in boxes of 10 which is not only common practice in every music store in BC but also completely understandable and I don't resent this at all. When I got there, I had a wonderful shopping experience and was blown away by the excellent customer service. I was especially impressed with how patiently they were dealing with this other customer in the store who was giving them a hard time even though they didn't know anything about reed shopping etiquette. u guys have earned urselves a loyal customer for life ! would come back again

Katrina: One of the best customer service experiences I had with Alex, I was looking for some support on some of my musical instruments and equipment and he was the person who helped me through it all!I needed my guitar re-strung and he was extremely supportive with all the details of the process. I also needed help on my audio interface and microphone and he was able to take extra time out of his day to support me and mention that my interface had a warranty that hadn’t expired yet. He even supported me with next best steps on potential repairs.If you’re looking for someone to support you with exceptional customer service, Alex is the person!
Kristian Naso: Masterful Tom Lee repair technician, Howard Lee, recently worked on my trumpet and on a number of instruments from my school music program. He went way above and beyond to get a replacement part for my trumpet and to get the school instruments repaired and returned quickly so students could resume playing them. Chris Cheng: Came in to buy a 3/4 size guitar and didn't really know what to get. Will was the one who helped guide me a little through the process -- he was super friendly and knowledgeable! The selection of guitars is massive, so I was glad he was there to guide me through the process and answer a bunch of my questions.I left with a nice little Yamaha guitar and a soft case and some Dunlop picks! Very happy overall. Highly recommend going in and just asking questions if you're music-curious.

Lu Kimberley: Good experience with purchasing the piano and the professional headphone, however, the sales from the book section give you very bad attitude! I will not recommend my friends going there.
Breeky Sneaky: I returned an rented instrument 4 days after the charging date but they failed to give me any refund, and they didn't even mention it. Other stores like L&M just refund me at any time I want to return. Never rent any instrument at this store.
