LSI Vancouver ( English language school): what do users think?
Julia Góes: Great school, with great teachers and staff. An amazing place to learn and make some good friends from all around the world. The location of the school is also excelent
Sofia: BAD SERVICE, BAD SCHOOL, ALL OF THE THINGS THAT THEY SHOW IN THE PAGE IS FAKE. THEY DO NOT RESPECT YOU AND DO NOT HAVE ORDEN TAKING ABOUT THE CLASSES.
Kevin Watson: Girlfriend paid 1000 that was accepted and claimed not to be. Provided evidence it was send and received, along with them sending an email that said they accepted and deposited it. They still claimed it didn’t happen. Complete incompetence from the accounting/front desk.
Juanjo Ville: Positive:Quality
Bahadir Cohadar: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Deutsche Sprache: I took a course in LSI. I would see my experiences was not good. I did ..not learn something new or just practicing what I know with different way , the teachers were nice and I love them but for me that was not enough. one of the weak points was the lack of examples when they explain grammar or vocabulary and that makes the thing that we study less memorable , I go to class and come back again to the class but I did notice any improvement.
Bruno Benatti: Incredible

International House Vancouver - Modern Languages: what do users think?
Leo Saud: I've been studying at International House since 2016. It's an amazing English School, I made a lot of friends and they have interesting teachers, who each of them use their different style of teaching
silveryfeather208: Good professional service. However, I feel the teaching pace is way to slow..I don't think it is worth it. If you are a slow learner maybe it's for you..But I feel you are better off taking it at a university if you can. Or even learn from youtube. I took a group lesson and I would also rather just pay more for a better lesson.
JiaYan Xie: Unfortunately, the student's level was low, so it was boring and meaningless for me. Thank you for providing me with the tedious lessons.
Giselle Heydari: 5 stars for the Mandarine class0 stars for the Farsi classI took mandarine lessons at this school and it was absolutely awesome. So when I married my husband who didn't speak my mother tongue, Farsi, and was very interested to learn the language, I recommended International house. Unfortunately the teacher he had was absolutely terrible, as in more than half the class quit half way through the session. The teacher was extremely strict and mean, as if he is training navy seals. He was teaching them sophisticated details that you are not supposed to learn until you have the basic things covered, which he did not. In general, my husband started the classes with so much enthusiasm and after 4 months, he was just done. Although my husband was extremely unlucky with his instructor, I hear there is another Farsi teacher there that is apparently amazing.
Umer Arain: Nice
Sammy Dee: So friendly and helpful, absolutely love the new place.
bryan williams: Wasting time and money for Canadians and permanent residents! TESL, CELTA and TESOL classes are awful with a variety of problems. Some instructors hide their illiteracy behind their snobbish, aggressive behavior. They offer their best services to international students. They merely work for money. They just care abut business more than anything else. Some staffs including administrative and teachers are so rude although you may find few of them cool.
A C: Took a korean class here and had the best learning experience ever! The instructor was very friendly and I was able to pick up the language in just a week. I was very surprised at myself.Highly recommended if you want to take up a new language. Definitely the best language school in vancouver!
Wonderful Ida: International House Vancouver is a great place for International Students to visit to study English, or Vancouver locals to learn a new language. The staff are friendly and informative, and the teachers making learning fun. I would highly recommend studying at IH!
Jung Hoon Lee: Very nice.
Viviane Falkembach: It`s the perfect place to learn English! Definily the best school in Vancouver!!!

Languages Across Borders (LAB) Vancouver: what do users think?
Enjoy Life by Kris: Back by then on my teacher side if you know Mr Poj u can contact to me
Fumi: I studied at this school three times. The school is filled with love, smile and enthusiasm…Absolutely, it is the one of my favorite schools.Usually, each class has about 10-15 students depending on season. We can ask teachers any questions either in class or after class. Teachers are very nice, we feel stress-free when we are asking questions. The teachers use games, music, dramas and news as ways to improve our English, which makes the learning process full of fun and enjoyment. Thanks to them, I've come to love English. So, I keep studying English even after I came back to my country. Also, I met many wonderful friends here and they made my life full of joy and happiness. I still keep in touch with them.I can’t imagine my life without coming here.If you want to study English while having fun and meet amazing teachers, staff and friends, I highly recommend to come to LAB Vancouver!
Ronan Michel: They have great teachers, and a great structure
Nataly Becerra: Studying in LAB was an amazing experience!!! I studied english for 3 months and I only have good memories of my time there. The teachers are so capable, so gentle and really nice. The administrative team was always there to help me when I needed it and they are so cool as well. The lessons are interesting. The activities on Fridays are great! It gave me the opportunity to know more of Vancouver, interact with other students and practice my english outside of the class. The whole environment makes for a unique experience for the students. I would recommend it 1000%!
Masa B: I had great time at this school. Every teacher was kind and taught me a lot of things in classes. I could improve my English skills through taking various kinds of classes. If you want satisfying activities, this school will be the best choice. I will never regret having chosen this school!
Crescente Prieto: Actualmente estoy estudiando aquí y me he sentido muy cómodo.
leticia gonzalez: I have been studying here during 5 months and I totally recommended it. The teachers and the stuff are very professional and good atmosphere. If you want to learn English in Vancouver this is the perfect place!
Gabriel Jacome Hernandez: Great facilities, great teachers, affordable prices and hours, the best place to learn English
Diego Ruiz: One of the best language schools in Vancouver. Great teachers!!
Mira Filipovic: Critical:CommunicationThat school has moved to Renfrew st. on May1, 2020
Abdulrahim Mohammed: ♥️♥️
Mariana Muller: A melhor escola de inglês. Ambiente ótimo, professores maravilhosos e equipe atenciosa.
Betty Rios: Staffs are friendly , but in my opinion the teachers and school need programs to follow and teachers a professional training. There are no assessments at this school, so you can hardly know your progress.
Giangiii89: I have been living in Vancouver for 2 years, I have never studied English before only learned by myself. I realized I needed to take some lessons to improve my grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading. I decided to take 6 weeks part time course at LAB while working full time and It was the best choice for me. I was in the advanced class with Teacher Damian. He is a really good teacher, knowledgeable, fun and made my lessons very interesting and never boring. I learned a lot about Canadian history, improve everything and met a lot of people from everywhere of any age. Very good environment if you want to learn English in Vancouver I definitely recommend this school.
Thomas Ferrão: I studied one month at LAB Vancouver, and was amazing experience. The structure of school is perfect, very new and organized. The school provide diferents extra activits for the students. The teachers and staff are very qualificated. I recommend LAB Vancouver for learn English and would study again at LAB.
Morgana Thomé: In my opinion, LAB is the best English school here in Vancouver, because there you have a lot of fun and learn English in a different way. The teachers are amazing, in the end they become more than just your teacher, they become really friends, who hep you inside and outside the LAB. Every friday we have funny activities, like volleyball and kayak in the summer, pumpkins and a big Halloween party in autumn and in the winter we have skating, skiing and the unique and wonderful winter lights (they`re absolutely magic!). Everyone in LAB is friendly and they incentive us to always help the news students and make new friends. Finally, I could say a lot of things about LAB, because I`ve studied there for 6 months, but I think you will just understand me when you see with yours owns eyes.

UBC Extended Learning Downtown: what do users think?
Cokepiggy Dev: Please consider this place a money orientated business instead of an educational institution. They don't give a dame about your learning, your questions and your challenges.I did an online grammar in writing course there. Without any clear information, it turned out to be a text-only type of class. It was the worst I've ever been and I have done at the least 5 courses with UBC-ExL. The course was poor organized and turned into a very expensive Facebook chatting group where is full of miscommunication and small chit chats in poor English. When you have a question with the materials or assignment rules, it was hard to say it right at the first time. When the teacher misunderstood you, which is possible because we are not good at grammar, the whole back and forth conversation took days to completed.Even more, I asked if I can do some extra homework to practice the grammar, the teacher refused and said it was the school policy stops her to provide more help to students.Second, the online system has a confusing UI and poor structure. There was no extra assistance and instruction to help on using the system as well. It took me the whole first week just to understand how to use it and where to find materials. As soon as I found out the issue of a text-only grammar class and the poor UI system, I wrote an email to the student service and told them about all the struggles that are not relevant to English learning. After a few days (tic-tac on my time), they simply wrote back an email said that they can't help. The ONLY suggestion to me is to turn off the notification, so I wont be notified with all the small chats...I was like wow... this is not a school, nor a place want to help people learn better. Be careful before you sign up anything with them

Northwest Culinary Academy Of Vancouver: what do users think?
Thomas Matthey: First time participating in a course at the Northwest Culinary. The best course I have done in years.
Sara D: We did the Sushi class with Chef Tarek, it was a lot of fun and we all felt it was great value for money. They even gave us all goodie bags at the end with Poke Bowl ingredients. Will definitely come back in future!
Amee Barber: We went to the one night wonder event for pad Thai. It was so much fun and great tips you’d never figure out on your own. Five stars for sure and I’ll be back!
V B: Highly recommend this place. My partner and I started with the lasagna class, then the risotto class and we just signed up for the bread making series.Couldn’t recommend this place more !!
Stella Ammendolia: The course exceeded my expectations. The teachers wereprofessional, well informed and had a down to earth wayof explaining the lesson. I would recommend this courseto all levels of cooks. The proof is in the pudding...as soon as I arrived home, (I flew infrom Ontario), I went to my garage and fished out my very largecutting board. It now has a place on my counter. Also, for the first time ever, I am using my pastry scraper.Thank you for a memorable course.
Kristian Kletke: Had a great experience with Fundamentals 1. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, not teaching you to just read a recipe, but to understand it, and the facility was clean and well prepped. Nice wine pairings too!
Mark Glimm: Just finished a one night lasagna class here, and it was just great. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The facility has I think 8 big gas ranges, with lots of other stuff, and there's a two table dining/lecture area with big screens to see the tutorials. Loved it. Thanks Tony and Jonathan!
Siavash E: .Highest ratio of instructors to studentsHighest ratio of cooking stations to studentsHighest spenders on ingredients and equipmentsNorthwest is not a school, its a passion project. This state of the art food laboratory is run by a team of chefs who are all owners - better described as family rather than co-workers. They'll take you in as one of their own, equip you with the most up-to-date culinary skills and knowledge, and give you unlimited support even after graduation. They are, however, selective in their admission process. You will need a lot of enthusiasm and a bit of luck. I wish you both!
Noya Madadi: I had an incredible experience taking the Enthusiast Level 1 course. Every day was packed with valuable information that are very relevant to everyday cooking including ingredient quality selection & all the reasons behind it. They teach you how to use your senses so you’re not reliant on a recipe or if you are looking to a recipe for inspiration, how to easily adjust things based on your touch or what you have available in your pantry. Every dish was delicious & very repeatable. Tony, our main instructor was very informative as well as the other chefs & instructors. I am already dying to take the next Level 2 course. My partner was so impressed with all the knowledge & relevant information I brought back home. Thank you so much for creating such a fun program. Cooking has never been so fun & stress-free. I highly recommend this course.
Alexandro Rubio: Great place to learn, only took the Basics 1 & 2 courses so far, since I cook for fun, but this place has made me think twice about my career choices, maybe I should have become a Chef! Instructor chefs are polite and knowledgeable, feels like you are cooking with friends and learning is nice and easy.
Janine Kreil: Could not recommend North West Culinary school enough! No matter your skill level, I can guarantee you will learn here from these wonderful people. I have taken 2 enthusiast classes now and I plan to take a whole lot more in the future!
J V: Took the 2 week boot camp as a proficient home cook and left with a new level of understanding for techniques and ingredients that I had never used before. The chefs were all great teachers and always there for questions and to help you succeed. The pace of the program gradually increased as we became more proficient and comfortable in our environment. The 2 weeks went by like a blur but with lots of practice after, I'm sure the techniques will slowly become second nature. Great way for home cooks to level up their game!
Banny Sohal: I would recommend the basic 1 course to everyone. The chefs are thoughtful and engaging and will teach you something no matter you’re level of cooking. The facilities are top notch. Overall great experience. Will definitely try some more courses!
Dayane L.: Amazing experience! My bf got us a couple cooking class this week - Phad Thai food! It so much fun and we learn how to make our favourite dish! The chef and his team were very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming! Their kitchen is unreal! Very clean and well equipped. We’ll definitely go back soon!😍 highly recommend them! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Andrew: I took the Basics I: Flagship Fundamentals Course just recently to improve on my home cooking skills and to learn its discipline. I've been cooking by following recipes but this course has certainly opened up my eyes with a fresh look, i.e., by putting on a new "Reading Lens". I've also learned the art of flow in the kitchen with Mise en Place. Each Chef instructor brought to the classes their insights, techniques, personal experiences, and how to "Think like a Chef." There were times during the classes I have those light-bulb moments at either during the class or at the kitchen station. Yesterday was my birthday, and I wanted to share what I've learned. I couldn't believe that I was able to cook 10 dishes - first time ever - out from the four day class lessons for a family meal. And the verdict from family - "...every dish was delicious... and that it was a melody of food." I was inspired and I can't wait to begin with the Culinary Basics II: Next level of courage + creativity. Thank you Chefs, and thank you NWCA...
Anthony G.: Thank you for an inspiring lesson! Learned and ate a lot :p
Jim Grant: Really great Basics course with an opportunity to make and learn from meals we made and actually learn a lot of the ‘why’s’ of what you’re doing, rather than just following a recipe. Really enjoyed a lot of the tricks and discussions around things like different salts, and what’s so good about olive oil.
Xiao Yu: Took the fundamentals 101 in-person class here, had a great time. Atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Chef and staff were very helpful and provided a comfortable space for all the students to work in. Great kitchen to work in and quality products. I have been cooking at home for some time but I think any level can benefit from this course. Look forward to taking more courses in the future.
Sonya Szoczei: Great classes! Covid distance friendly
A. Owens: The 2-Week Plant Based Bootcamp was excellent! Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable + most importantly, approachable. The class was taught in a cohesive + professional manner, + yet it was still fun + lighthearted. I definitely recommend anyone who is considered taking a class and / or course here to do so.
Chanel Warshafsky: I came to Northwest Culinary Academy as a home cook, looking to advance my skills and make a career change. Northwest exceeded my expectations in every way possible and without a doubt, participating in the professional culinary and pastry program this past year, was the best year of my life. The instructors all made an incredibly positive impact and I am thankful for the newfound confidence I have gained as a result, both in cooking at home, and now working in the field. The entire team at Northwest is extremely supportive and encouraging, they care deeply about every student's journey, interests and are truly dedicated to help students navigate their first steps when entering into the field and continued mentorship throughout one's career. The curriculum and environment is one of a kind, you will truly have the opportunity to dive into your learning, hone your skills and discover a deeper appreciation for your love of cooking, and forever be inspired to follow your dreams!

Learn French in Vancouver: what do users think?
Arthur Chan: I've done levels 1-3 with Sophie and she is an awesome instructor! She guides us through class like it were some mental yoga, so that we learn and advance a lot, even in spite of a long work day. As a native speaker, she effortlessly imparts knowledge about the subtle (and not-so-subtle) nuances of words and usages/conjugations. I'd been trying to learn German on my own for years, and already my French is stronger than my German! If you want to learn French for second-language fluency (e.g. for travel or for citizenship), you won't go wrong taking classes with Sophie, at Learn French In Vancouver. ~Merci beaucoup!~
Hannes Girgis: My wife and I were in Vancouver for one week and decided to spend some time taking conversational French lessons. Our instructor was Sophie. She was fantastic! We took advantage of the nice weather by not spending much time in the classroom and instead, explored the city. Sophie doubled as a French teacher and tour guide. We explored Stanley Park on bicycle, walked Kitsilano Beach and visited multiple French shops and cafés, ordering our lattés and croissants en français. It almost felt like a French immersion experience in Vancouver. Sophie is a delight to spend time with. She is patient, kind and very good at keeping the conversation going. Overall an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
Faisal Alsubaie: I am having a beginner class with Solene and she is very nice and she explains very good. She also provides materials that will really help you to success on learning French.
Anita Patel: Eloise is a great teacher who is easy going and is able to get the teaching material taught. The class size is small so there is personalized teaching. Furthermore, my french improved rapidly with with French 1-2 and 3.
David Tang: Great instructors! I'm enjoying the classes a lot:) I have had both Eloise and Sophie as my instructors and both of them are absolutely wonderful and very patient with the student. Their explanations are easy to understand. Recommend this French school:)
Jamie Vollmer: This was an awesome experience! I am a very beginner and this has definitely helped me get into French. Sophie is such an amazing and kind teacher, and she explained everything really well!Thank you Learn French and thank you Sophie!!
Michael Duckworth: Wonderful school. I've thoroughly enjoyed my private sessions with the teachers I've had over the last year. All of them were great, and I will continue to go back for more sessions.
Jenna Cook: I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Eloise. She is a great teacher and has helped build my confidence while at the same time challenging me. I can't say enough good things about my lessons with her. Merci beaucoup Eloise!
Maryam Murat-Khan: I thoroughly enjoyed my class with Anne. She is an engaging teacher, and handled having different levels in the class very well
chloe: My teacher is Eloise, every class is amazing. Always informative, kind, and on track. Every class has started and ended right on time, the home work and resources are great and the small class sizes make for the perfect learning environment. There's one on one help with pronunciation and everyone's questions get a proper response.
Sanchita Syeda: I cannot recommend this school enough. From the first phone conversation I had, everyone I spoke to was incredibly pleasant and friendly. They made me feel welcome and supported right away and it carried through the lessons as well. The classes are great as well. Lots of informative and relevant content with a lot of quality speaking practice as well. My instructor (Eloïse) was so kind and clearly very knowledgeable.Even after the classes end, Learn French continued to support my journey and encouraged my growth in learning the language. Their genuine passion and care is heartwarming. If you have been looking for structured French classes that test your knowledge and speaking skills, this is definitely the right choice for you.Thank you so much Learn French!!
Nathan Api: I highly recommend these courses for anyone who is interested in pursuing French! (especially for beginners)I had just completed the Beginner 1+2 class and I would say, it was quite a joy to have both Anick and Lea teach us the basics and foundations of French! (They even included some vocab and differences between France and Quebec Français and I really appreciate that! They really try hard to make the learning environment comfortable and safe where mistakes are encouraged even, cause how will you learn if you didn't make mistakes?Merci beaucoup!~
Carolyn Neapole: I had a great experience taking private lessons through Learn French in Vancouver. My teacher was Anne, and she was welcoming, a clear communicator, and very willing to adjust the content of the lessons based on my particular learning needs and style. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to brush up their French language skills.
Galen Schram: I began lessons with the goal of eventually going to France with a working holiday visa. I took private lessons with Noëlie for one year, right up until my departure. To say it was a great experience would be an understatement. Before I started the course I was asked to specify what I wanted to achieve, which was to develop speaking skills/gain confidence with the language. I knew a very little bit of French already, but I was nowhere near the level I wanted to be. We began with core course material and as things proceeded it became more personally tailored; for example I would be asked to prepare a topic that I was interested in for discussion and then we would speak about it in the lesson, or we would work on vocabulary/grammar that was aligned with my needs. Towards the end we were spending significant portions of the lessons entirely in French. The prospect of learning a language was daunting for me at first (I have always struggled with nerves in general), but Noëlie was always patient and encouraging and I came out the course feeling empowered, like a door had been opened to a new world. As I write this I am seated at a table in Lyon, day 5 into my working holiday and the success of Noëlie's teaching is already clear. Can't recommend her enough. Thank you.
Siobhan Aspinall: Frédérique is an amazing French tutor and I enjoyed every minute of my "Learn French" experience. Challenging and fun without being stressful - Frédérique is creative, friendly, interesting, and really knows how to work in a flexible way at the student's individual level. I'd highly recommend this company and am looking forward to starting up my classes again soon.
Taurean Lord: Excellent classes run by a sincere group of teachers!!I lived in Quebec for some years but I could never speak French fluently. I always wanted to learn and master the language. That is when I heard about Learn French. I registered for their Level 1+2 classes and found them really helpful. Our teacher Ms.Jennifer always encouraged us to ask questions in the class and created a learning atmosphere for us, where we always stayed curious and challenged. I am now pursuing Level 3 of the course and can introduce myself and share my favorite recipe in French. All thanks to Ms.Jennifer and Learn French team :)

EC Vancouver English Language School: what do users think?
Thank you for all classes and teachers!! I started class at the upper intermediate level but I could reach the advanced level thanks to kind teachers and other staff. If you want to be more open-minded, I recommend you all be student ambassadors. That would make you a more sociable and successful English speaker.
Barbara Costa: I come back to Brasil 2 weeks ago and I had the amazing opportunity to study in Ec School. I had a lot of fun, meet a lot of friends around the world that for sure I` ll remember for my whole life. The Team Ec is very helpful and kind , always there to help with whatever you need. I will never forget this experience!!! 3
Brenda ReyesTrejo: Hiiii, I’m student but was a really good experience, you know a lot of great people from all around the world and you will have a lote of good friends that you will always remember, don’t be nervous about make friends I’m sure that you will have a lote of friend and you will enjoy all the thing that Vancouver have for you!!
jesus rayd: i just finished my course and it was a wonderful experience, i met people from a lot of countries, the teachers are super qualified for teaching, i just really felt at home in this school, i completely recommend this school for everyone who wants to learn english, this is the option.
Isabella Roa: I'm a student ambassador, the experience here with Team Vancouver is great, they help you with everything you need, they are always available to you and your difficulties. If you want to have the best study experience, come to EC Vancouver, I recommend it.
morgana almeida: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
handoting: Teacher is really awesome
Isadora Franz Sonda Rocha: Great teachers and staff that really helps you with your questions or problems. The school itself has a really good space and learning environment.
Eduardo: This school is for lazy people who are just there as a pastime. I've been studying there for almost five months and, to be honest, I've been learning more at home and with my friends than at school. Also, some teachers have a strong political opinion, they waste their and our time talking about Trump and political stuff without knowing nothing about. It's not a really bad school at all, you as a student have an amazing online platform to study all day. On the other hand, if you are thinking in paying a lot of money to study there consider the negative points to not get up set when you realize that EC can be a nightmare. Also, I don't recommend "General English" unless if you are in the basic levels. Try to take some lessons as Cambridge or IELTS, I'm sure that is better than the regularly course. But if you can avoid the school completely, there are other schools with better environment without thinking just in your money.I really would like to understand the reasons to be too different between what we see in the class and what we have to answer in the Assessment Test. I can give some detailed examples. In the Assessment Test we have a lot of questions which are completely different from what we are accustomed to seeing in the class. I explain why: in the class we have never seen those kind of questions. I never received an activity with the options TRUE, FALSE, NOT GIVEN whereas in the REAL test the school evaluates you through that methodology. In addiction the reading done in the class displays these kind of answer: e.g.: find in the text the synonym for "bad". "Discuss you with partner about some meanings..." whereas in the REAL test we have a sort of issues that demand a more deeply knowledge that we don't see very often - seldom - in the class. My question is: That situation is purposeful? Why the test is more difficult than our classes? I'm not complaining about the test but about the lazy way that some teachers pursue during the class. I cannot understand how the staff couldn't noticed that big mistake. I lived in a homestay with more 7 students and some of them studied in others schools which gave them a lot of more preparation that EC cannot give us.EC deserves 5 stars only for the marketing. If the staff doesn't know how they can improve the school I will give some tips:1. Listen your customers;2. Create EC book. Do not accept a book that doesn't contain workbook (or give mandatory homework);3. Train the students to the assessment test, give similar activities;4. Evaluate better the teacher, certificate the classes more properly;5. Then, fire lazy teachers;6. Fix the machine, it stucks our money (food machine);7. Make possible changing students during the week. More effectively process without a lot of burocracy for everything;8. Try to imitate the best of others schools which have their own books (e.g.: preparation to CAE in the general English), parties for teenagers, best environment and special events.9. Improve the General English. Demand more from students. We cannot learn English with such bad classes.10. See the students as customers who paid a lot of money with the expectation that EC would be the best school ever.
rocky k: Some of teachers good n some not... They dont expline The grammer.. They just read it and for homestay in case if u dont like it they will change it after A while they are not cooperative with student in homestay... They just want to take money... I will not go there again
Renan Lacalendola: The best school for learn and improve your English!
Love here
Dina Charaf Eddine Nasser: 👍🏻
Nicolas Hartstein: Otima escola com pequenos problemas
Ba R: I've been studying at EC by a month and it's amazing! The location is good, close to Graville Station, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, 7Eleven, A&W and a pub. The staffs are friendly and the place is clean. Most of the students are brazilians, koreans, swiss, japaneses and colombians. The Wi-Fi is a little bit slow but it's fine. If I go to another place that has EC as a school to study, I'll chose it again!
Simon: Easy said..great school, great people! An amazing experience that everyone should have done at least once. I will always keep it in good memory and recommend it to everyone.
Gag Gag: I had been in this school for well over a year.Honestly, avoid it. Staff are very un friendly towards students (always unhappy). They are after your money and nothing else!If you ate sick they don't care. They don't even accept (medical excuses). I was sick for a week and they refused to accept my doctors note and left me in a trouble with the government.I wrote this review after having been in another english school in town and i saw the difference.

VCC - Downtown Campus: what do users think?
Jon Sheffield: The food from the culinary arts students is outstanding and reasonably priced. Apart from the limited timing this place rule for downtown food open to the public. The cafe sells butchered meats cheaper than any grocery store.
Ehsan Mahditabar: My best year was in VCC with excellent teaching and high learning level
HappyGirl1989: I had a bad experience here with the cooking school back in the year 2018. I was being very mistreated by a substitute chef here. I left in tears, never stepping foot here no matter what program they have to offer here. Stay away, I am warning you.
Munim Chowdhury: Went for a brief visit with my friend as he got admitted in an automotive program in VCC. The space is well utilized, and staff are friendly. Parking has to be done on the street.
kait patt: I was enrolled in doing online classes to upgrade some courses. I had so many problems, not being able to see my classes, not being able to get a concrete answer from anyone just kept getting transferred to someone else. They don't put any prices out for you to see and you will be half way through your course and they want you to complete "part 2" which means re paying. Other I know who have gone here say they were completely used just for their money. This school is all about the money.
Sandra Landaverde: VCC is in the downtown core easy access while there you can enjoy their services which it's run by highly qualified students instructors and personal in general study 📖 as well 😉
Stuart Furness: Keep an eye out, the new VCC bake shop will be opening soon.
Christopher Edwards: I had an academic advising appointment with Kseniia, she was very kind and able to answer all my questions and explain the options I have going forward. Very excited about continuing my education with VCC.
Jonathan Lumu: Best I wish for everyone
Fakhr Alrakwi: Great place to get affordable yet yummy meals made by future chefs 👨‍🍳 😋
Ki Rocky (Rocky): ALLERT: Think carefully before studying in this school, especially INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS once they had your money, they don’t care or really help you.WANT TO LEFT SCHOOL, yes you can go but NO REDUND in their dictionary.
R L: Apparently this school doesn’t work for everyone I was told by the instructor - just a select few - it’s not inclusive of all walks of life.8 students from the dental hygiene program failed the first semester. That’s 36.6% failure rate. Instructors do not know how to teach anatomy. When it came to learning anatomy they do not show students how to distinguish between teeth, anomalies or anything of the such. They don’t elaborate on the learning topics. Just verbatim of slides in class. They don’t have frequent testing to ensure information sticks. Also, come 4pm - good luck finding an instructor. They all disappear. As a person, it’s great! classes end at 4pm. but as a learning environment, it shouldn’t close so soon. Lazy people. And if they do see you struggling... instead of helping the student personally they pass the buck to learning services. Like learning services is a tutor in the DH program. They are not. They like to blame the student and lack of studying. Which isn’t the case. They need to teach better. Many students struggled with learning what the instructors want them to learn. They are not clear in what needs to be known. They might have been good decades ago but they sure are out of date now.
Stephen James: My advisor left the campus. My review was intended to highlight the efforts of this person in my educational endeavours. Thus, I am left to revise the review accordingly.
Sapan Sandhu: Good but expensive college, staff is very friendly. Premises and maintenance are worth watching.
Verna victoria Mclaughlin: I only stopped in but it was a clean and inviting campus
Simi M: VCC sets up students for success. The few instructors whose classes I taken have been genuine educators looking to support students achieve their goals.
Ben Wiese: Awesome Culinary Program.I learned a lot from VCC. Excellent experience living in Vancouver for sure. memories of taking the Skytrain, and met some really interesting people during my time living There off Joyce. Thanks Hamid. I still have our 2014 Grad Photo. I remember our classes well.Good time.
B: I believe Library is for student there study quietly right ? But I guess not , we were just trying to do out work in quite place but this lady and her probably beauty student came in talking super loud and distractingly in the middle of library. And her ugly laugh is so irritating to hear .
Amelia C: Horrible instructors. They don't teach you the course properly, and mark you extremely hard on any work. I've been to other colleges, and this one is by far the WORST. Too many people in the class, and can't be bothered to help or even explain how to do assignments properly.
