Pacific Gastroenterology Associates: what do users think?
Edit Dragnea: Dr Ko is an excellent, knowledgeable and caring doctor. She has been looking after my liver and gallbladder for many years. I'm very grateful for all the care she had given me over the years.
M: I almost died from Dr Whittaker's staggering incompetence. He flat out denied that my condition even existed. I went to a larger city, where I saw an internationally recognized GI physician whose credentials far exceeded his. She told me that a large part of my bowel was starting to necrotize (die) and that if we hadn't done the surgery she recommended, I would in all likelihood not be here today. Stay away from Whittaker if you value your health!
oOo OoO: 5 stars from a Dr. who accompanied his aging mother to this clinic? LOL! Of course they treated your mother well, you're another Dr! If you want to know how they really treat the average jane/john doe, act like one and keep what you do for a living private. I'm not a Doctor; my experience was a journey of terrifying information breaches. Nothing was private at this clinic and your information may be shared without your knowledge, to other departments and receptionists. Make sure you ask for copies of notes taken and medical reports while you are there and make sure you tell them that your medical information is to stay private or avoid this clinic altogether.
ryan sharp: Worst phone answer protocol i haver seen. Literally screams get lost. What an absolute pathetic joke. Do not even attempt to try it - go somewhere else
Lemay Henderson: Dr Leung saw my 92 yo mother twice; I am a family physician and went with her both times. Dr Leung was thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. She listened patiently, gave information in a confident, clear, non -jargon-y way so that my mother understood. She immediately put my mother at ease (which is no small feat as my mother has been well all her life and has no patience for visiting doctors!). She never gave any impression of being rushed and was incredibly attentive and helpful. Not to mention she is funny as heck and incredibly charming! My mother loves her, and said she felt very well taken care of. She commented that it's not like a doctor's appointment - Dr Leung makes you feel like you've just had a wonderful visit as well as inspiring confidence in her medical care. I have worked with hundreds of physicians in 5 different provinces/territories over 30 years, and I recommend Dr Leung without hesitation. What a gem!
Naseem Hjerpe: Dr. Neal Shahidi - The best Doctor that I have had ever!!!
Google User (M. B.): It's an assembly line type operation. A dozen or more patients cramped up in the waiting room. Multiple receptionists.
Ms Rose: Dr Whittaker is an exceptional gastroenterologist and human being. He literally saved my life.
Gary Rintal: Very nice staff and friendly Dr Ko made me feel so comfortable
Mohammad Essak hel: First time been they were fast and good help full
R2N04: The worst phone robot ever, called 15 times just to talk to the receptionist to book an appointment but couldn’t even reach a person. Fix your phone menu to speak to reception for general inquiries/questions… The robot just keeps talking talking talking and then “thank you” then hangs up if you don’t know anyone by the name
Robin Letellier: Beginning with a telephone consultation Dr. Shahidi was kind, reassuring, informative and understanding. Having a pre existing seizure disorder caused by trauma I am often dismissed when the topic arrises. The Doctor offered to have my husband present as he was the one who best knew how to handle any issues that might’ve arisen. My GP has been voicing for some time that Im too young for a colonoscopy and they are quite invasive. Dr. Shahidi assured me that wouldn’t be the case and he was right! The most unpleasant part was the colon prep drink we must consume before hand. The procedure itself went off without a hitch, with no discomfort, light sedation and a personable team. I do recall everything that occurred but it was not alarming in the slightest. Im assured the Doctor will follow up with me in two weeks and for once I don't feel dismissed. I definitely recommend this Doctor and his team.
A Aramil: In this day and age with all the precautions set up because of the pandemic, I wasn’t surprised that this clinic would have the same protocols. What sets this clinic apart is how nice the staff were. They (the staff) actually take the time to explain their procedures and protocols, not just expect you to read the signs posted all over.Getting to my Colonoscopy procedure, I was a nervous wreck because of such horrible experience 12 years ago. Unfortunately I needed this procedure this time for something that needed an answer.I was referred to Dr. Scott Whittaker and to be brutally honest, my hesitation and traumatic experience dissipated the moment I met his 2 team of nurses (sorry forgot their names). Their soft spoken, gentle demeanor reassured me that everything was going to be alright. Then, Dr. Whittaker who calmly introduced himself made me even calmer. Everything went smoothly. After the procedure, I was asked to wait for someone to pick me up at their waiting room. The nurses called to let my spouse know I am ready to be picked up. It was easy and organized, no fuss, no muss.As I waited in the waiting/recovery room, Dr. Whittaker passed by, asked me if I have any questions and went back in the procedure room to meet the next patient. It is his kind and gentle demeanor that struck me. I don’t know about you, but doctors like him are a rarity. My overall expetience at Pacific Gastroenterology and Associates surpassed my expectations. If you’re due for a Colonoscopy I would highly reccommend this clinic.
Jacqueline Francis: Dr. Ramji and Nurse Nancy saw me through 2 different rounds of treatment. The 2nd did the trick. They were wonderfully supportive, non judgemental and really everything you want health care providers to be!
F. L. K.: I'm now paying for trauma counselling after a "direct to procedure" colonoscopy where I was unaware that "conscious sedation" would mean I'd be completely lucid/aware/remember everything/know what was going on and be screaming in pain, with Dr Leung not checking in with me or talking with me. I was terrified. The procedure was aborted and left incomplete. I was assured by Dr Leung as she was injecting me with whatever they injected me with (keen to find out what the amount) that she would give me enough such that the procedure would be okay. She didn't. I felt a rush of sedation for about 5 seconds and that's it - then totally aware/lucid. I wasn't drowzy or woozy afterwards, just extremely traumatized. No one I know remembers anything about their colonoscopy. I'm now imprinted with a trauma I'm paying out of my own pocket to recover from. I have also done some research after this awful experience to find out that females with low BMIs have issues with colonoscopies due to angular and firm colons. Knowing this, I'm unsure why anyone like me, along with a history of chronic pelvic pain, would have been recommended for a procedure under conscious sedation. This is not quality care. This is generating trauma. The whole experience in the GI Ward at St Pauls was disorienting, with no one there to help you move through the conveyor belt of the GI factory. I saw many other patients confused and lost, needing guidance. Dr Leung seemed in a hurry and a rush, and my experience was that of pushing me through the paces, and that was also a contributing factor to the trauma of the experience. I truly hope that future practices around "conscious sedation" are reconsidered and that the GI Ward can function in a way where there is someone ordering the chaos for the sake of the patients.
Jeffrey Wynne: Excellent care here. My doctor is very thorough and committed. The staff are very helpful and cheerful!
Vivek Joseph: I went to see Dr. Moosavi. She knows her stuff for sure, her dietary suggestions have greatly improved my health and the procedure she scheduled helped the whole process of healing get started.
Mr K: helpful...Dr Ramji saved my life. If Dr Ramji is your Dr..youre in great hands.
Densel Parsons: Well a good doctor...but a rude incomputant receptionist after my experience went ok but the follow up with her receptionist was horrible. ...talk about incomputance...if someone doesn't have a clue representing a doctor should at least be polite but being useless and rude dealing with patients some could be more ill than me a representative of a doctor should have a great bedside manner not what a ignorant woman had the misfortune of dealing with. And holding back meds because I told her I didn't like her ...and this useless person is still deal with people is what's scary!?!
Christine Camley: Top notch doctors and staff.
Wayne Magill: They do good things for people here.

Vancouver General Hospital: what do users think?
Jessica: I came in for a CT and found the two information desk staff to be incredibly rude when asked for directions and a face mask. I know health care workers are overworked and we are grateful for your service but.. Isn't the point of an information desk to provide information?
Assefa kebede: Excellent
David Jolivet: Easy to get around and nice staff.
Peter Clark: Busy
Ron Gallant: Easy to get around no stress
Marshall Miller: Great people 👏 👍 👌 fast service people are beautiful there 👏 may God bless them 🙏 they know what they are doing ty very much 😀 for all ur help I appreciate it
kathryn stewart: The medical teams at VGH are the best you can get. The care and attention they gave my son after his accident was top notch. We are forever grateful 🙏
Kevin Strome: I am currently in right now with an abscess in my throat and it has cause me a lot of pain and it’s been very hard to swallow I want to thank the nursing staff her for being very kind and very helpful and intuitive ion helping me figure out every way possible to take my pain meds SHOUT-OUT TO THE NIGHT STAFF AND DAY-So TAFF
nicole travassos: Clean, friendly staff covid friendly.
Jonine Rochacewich: I recently had ankle surgery, I spent three weeks on the orthopedic/trauma floor. The doctors and nursing staff were wonderful and professional, I know their jobs are especially challenging during Covid-19 and they work very hard. I cannot say the same for the two physiotherapists assigned to me; one was extremely rude with no bedside manner. Also, the hospital was not very clean. I realize the cleanliness could be a result of the hospital being short staffed.
brigitte cavanagh: Everything look fine. I had many small surgeries and 1 bigger, some nurses were not nice....but there is not much i can do about their staff.
Keith Johnstone: Well run. No hot water in some of the public washrooms tho
JOHN SHINNICK: This is a major component of Vancouver General Hospital.
Brenda Sachse: I can't thank the Doctors, Surgeons, and especially the Nursing Staff enough for the amazing work they do!

BC Cancer Agency: what do users think?
Bumblebee: The care my Mom receives here is phenomenal. Dr.Smrke is excellent. The reason for the 3 stars is the with the department that does lab work. Something needs to be done about the long wait times. It’s not fair for very sick chemo patients to come in and have a very lengthy wait to get blood taken. Combined with chemo it makes for an extremely long day. I understand the shortages but as a province let’s figure out a solution on the strain our healthcare system is experiencing.
nikki chow: It seems that there is never anyone working at the front desk (2368 ext). I've tried to call in several times, within their opening hours and all I'm hit with is their pre-recorded message. So, I decided to leave a message, but they never got back to me... The following day I just let the call through, for the general line, they say they can only transfer me back to the (2386 ext) desk. Where I'm listening to the same pre-recorded message again.
v l: They do the best with what they have. The facility shows signs of age (frequent elevator or WC out of order) but still well kept.
Maria Tujal: My experience has being very positive ✨️With the BC Cancer Volunteers
leslie mark: I would like to Express my opinion on what had happened these past months.First off I would like to give Thanks to you for taking your time in "wait for a call" 4 months ago when my family had reached out in hope for my mom who has cancerIt took 2 MONTHS for a phone call back.My mom could have gotten the help she needed before the cancer got worse. Now she is on her death bed and I now have to say goodbye to my mom.We had reached out to alot of places and this is one of the many. Give better care to everyone in need.
Samantha Bacchus McLeod: Omg, the kindness of the medical staff here is incomparable. Once you actually get into our system, you are treated like gold with the utmost respect and compassion.
Avery Gillick: Always helpful and organised. A great service to the community
Silver Lining: I am receiving excellent care from our cancer agency. All doctors and staff are professional, helpful, and pleasant. We are very fortunate in our province to have this care. Beverly
William Andrusco: Freshly caring staff
Chantal R: As a cancer patient with children, BC Cancer has consistently given me less than a week to sort out childcare for my appointments and treatments. During Spring Break, I was given 3 days to find childcare for my chemo infustions during Covid. When calling, you will never get to talk to a person, you have to leave messages, but the answering machines are FULL! When you do talk to a nurse, they can't tell me anything and tell me to keep trying to leave a message on a full answering machine. 1st class treatments, 3rd world administration of the treatments. Unacceptable.
Edward Eng: It's a hospital. I have had annual MRIs here and I usually am relaxed enough inside the machine that I get 45 minutes of nap-time after work
Bryan Thorp: Saved my life!
Edmund Kropf: "You are truly an exceptional group of people."To all the Dedicated Doctors, Nurses, and Support Staff, Thank you ever so much for all that you have done for me! You are truly an exceptional group of people. Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!!
Lovely Athwal: Awesome people that Work there and care for the patients, in my experience since coming here 2017. During my Chemo 2017 nurse Paula was so caring and compassionate 👍This week had a little scare again and my Ultrasound Technician Annalise and Mammogram tech Sarah were so caring and made me feel at ease.I'm moving to Toronto soon, hope I find the same care as BC Cancer 👏👏👏
R Yensen: My husband was told he was cancer free March 20-2017. I remember how happy he was on this day. He passed June 21-2017 (three months later)It was found through a new doctor at VGH that he was FULL of cancer so NOT cancer free. Had they done a more thorough scan they would have seen it. As a result he is gone and suffered terribly at the end. The cancer agency told me that it would have been microscopic at the time. Well from what I have read over the past TORTURES two years that he could have had good results had they checked!I now raise our boys alone and my husband is gone! He didn’t want to go!
Eric Turpin: Excellent care. All the staff are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Joshua Dods: Volunteers are very caring. They ask patients and their families if they are hungry almost every hour. Nurses are very nice too. They take good care of the patients during their difficult time.
LISA SHOARE: So good to me :)
Lawrence Kwok: I don't recommend you listen to the assessment or advice of Dr. LaVoie until you've had three other opinions.
Heather Kennedy-MacNeill: Big thanks and hugs to Dr. Diego Villa for all his superb and compassionate care, and thanks to all his colleagues and staff who have been so supportive. I can't express how comforting it has been to have such a team!
Judy JACKSON: I was at Unit C for RT for 5 weeks finishing on July 4th - I want to say right from the beginning including my CT Scan (Olivia) and PET Scan (Mary) and having met Dr. Lim, Dr. Paul Hoskins, Dr. Manacos and the staff I found everyone to be very well organized and knowledgeable at their jobs. I felt welcome and reassured by all the staff in Unit C during my RT and have not forgotten them. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Peter Lim as my Radiation Oncologist who did an excellent job for me setting up my treatment plan for me. I am very thankful and pleased with the results without any serious side effects.

Fariba leilaby: I had appointment today @ 9:30am. I called 9:25 I said I am parking. I was there 9:37 panting because I didn't know they moved the address. The receptionist turned me around and said they got the next person. Explain to me how you can get the next person. I said well give the spot from the person who got my spot. She didn't. I took time off my work and get there waiting 2 months. Who does that. What type of a person are you? I am finlling a complaint. I will not let this go!!!!
