Pacific Theatre: what do users think?
Sae C: A very special theatre. Their productions showcase important voices executed with verve and intensity. Exemplary artistic and unforgettable theatre.
Barbara Bradbury: Every production Ive seen have been incredible and thought provoking.
Blaine McDonald: Great theatre company never disappoints
Erin Davies: Amazing experience, best professional theater choosing extremely thought provoking plays that make you a better human.
CM C: Your experience at this theatre will really be down to what your watching. I watched The Best of Enemies and loved it but when I watched the Mountaintop I was sorely disappointed and could not even leave as there was no intermission and we were sitting in the front row. I was very offended not by racial slurs but by utter blasphemy, cursing in general and treating God with such disrespect. It was shocking to say the least. Pacific please please please be selective. If you started of as a Christian theatre group please at least be respectful of God. Don’t play with Gods gender or curse at him. It’s not cool. And if you’re going to allow shows like that to run at least have an intermission so that people can leave without being disrespectful. We felt trapped. Venue is decent, productions are inconsistent.
Stephen Elcheshen: Consistently quality programming and stellar performances.
Sam Grace: Amazing shows. Diverse and engaging.
Mandie Leigh: Intimate and timeless. This is great place to get introduced to theatre. Everyone was very welcoming and inviting.
Rob Hoff: Great venue clean and accessable
Kirk Chantraine: Great space and very nice staff!
Steve Pei: An intimate theatre with chances to observe the plays very closely. Lots of good stuff.
Matt Scalena: Saw a Christmas Carol and really enjoyed it!
Gary Faryon: I was very disappointed with my only experience with the Pacific Theatre as they were over-priced and under delivered. We took the family to see A Christmas Carol last night and were very disappointed. We were not alone as at least 25% of the audience did not return after intermission. Here are the short but painful strokes.-Theatre was is in a old seniors home on hemlock. Dated, institutionalized and in poor repair. For example: split & curling seams in the vinyl flooring that was used as the stage floor. Frequent interruptions of sirens going by on the street.-was a one man show which was not evident when we bought tickets a month ago; nor what we would of purchased if we had known.-The one actor in the play spued every word out so we were often spat on while sitting in the front row.-Although enthusiastic the actor narrated and played several parts including Scrooge. His voice was always the same making it confusing which character he was currently representing.-poor facilities for intermission with very limited selection of refreshments. Coffee was cold and bitter-I would put this at the level of a volunteer community play not a professional production in any way other than sound effects.-$40 per seat; worth $20 at best. Why is my score so low compared to others you may ask? I believe that people (friends) are so desperately trying to support up and coming theatre groups such as Pacific Theaters that they are wearing rose colored glasses. I have no trouble with this support except when it affects someone like me that see's almost a consistent 5 star rating when in reality they effort is 5 starts but the results are a 1. Their support and enthusiasm is not helping Pacific Theatre achieve success.Just keeping the rest of us away as I will never know if the group improves so will avoid regardless on continued positive scores that I can not trust.
Leo Schraner: We watched A Christmas Carol yesterday what should I say we left after 1h ...there is nothing one Actor three boxes and a Lantern...he tells you the Story and that's it no actors no lights nothing ....the Theater itself horrible old dirty and not one Christmas decoration...please stay away this isn't a Theater its awful....$100 for nothing watch the movie and save the money. Never ever again.
Francis Awando: Enjoyed the show can't wait for the next
Astrid Melatunan: I watched "The Mother of Maid" last week, and it was so great! I love the way they adjust their chairs
Eileen Lavin: Great venue , wonderful performance by very talented actors
Paul Sasges: Really well acted performance. Except the access to the washroom issue, you had to walk across the stage to get there. This wouldn't do if someone had an emergency. Maybe the seating, with good lines of sight, would be too tight for long legs, or people in fancy footwear.
Jordan Schroeder: Top quality theatre productions that challenge the way you think through hard-hitting and well-acted stories
Daragh Drummond: Diverse, thought provoking theatre.

Granville Island Stage, Arts Club Theatre Company: what do users think?
Rob Drury: Friendly staff, warm welcome, a really gorgeous bar and theatre space! Lovely to visit the island on our visit to grab a bite and a couple drinks before a show, made for a lovely evening.
Chantale Lee: Very well rehearsed plays … interesting topics well presented
Vincent Wong: Great show.
Peter Gordon: Great performance hall for the Vancouver live theater scene.
Ailysh Greenway: Saw The Cull...so good! The bartender and usher were so friendly and helpful as well
Anthony Wong: Great intimate venue that is perfect for presenting some of Arts Club's smaller productions. The staging is impressive and the seating arrangement gives everyone a good seat. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The lounge is a great place to grab a drink before the show and during intermission!
Travis Albers: Going here felt like a fever dream. I enjoyed it (I think?). To be honest I can't believe this made it to production but it was pretty good I guess. It makes sense they sell alcohol because attending sober was an.... Experience. Would recommend you try it.... I guess.
Sue Sparlin: We saw "Mom's the Word: Talking Turkey". I was able to use the accessible parking spot right in front of the theatre. Staff were helpful. The show had moments of uproarious laughter, tender reflection, bawdy jokes, and relatable tales of Christmas or Samain. After the show we walked a block to The Keg for dinner. An altogether enjoyable experience.
Rhoda Taylor: We went to Mom's the Word, talkin turkey and had a wonderful time. The staff were great and the space was perfect for this kind of performance. Of course the location on Granville Island can't be beat. We had a great dinner after our show and got some shopping done
Duke D: Great Christmas show, a lot if fun, easy to get to, intimate theater, not a bad-seat in the house!
Jay Young: Saw an amazing show last night, one of those ones that is poinient but also very funny. There were several kinds of funny as well, from completely outrageous to clever song lyrics to being funny just because it's so close to real life and you know that's exactly how things are!! The show was Mom's The Word - Talking Turkey. I don't usually do much for Christmas and I never do Christmas this early but that was part of this show too and part of the fun. Excellent show, definitely worth the visit.
Tessa Adrienne: There are no bad seats in the theater. Enjoyed Made in Italy this weekend and absolutely loved it. Will be back for more performances in the future
Brenda G.: Quality of plays is excellent. Very entertaining, well acted sound and lighting banh on. The Theatre itsellf nothing fancy except the location on Granville Island. The lobby is new and ground level. But the theatre and bar/concession are not. No elevator to to 2nd floor bar/concession. No handrails inside theatre to get past 1st row. No seperate disability washroom. The 1 disabled stall in regular washroom is very hard to access down narrow hall, behind sinks.. You will get stuck inside waiting for everyone to finish at sinks/mirrors. The ushers however are excellent and will physically help you up the stairs to your seat and store any mobility devices for you. They also accomodate late comers. If able bodied they seat you "at the back" which means a staircase to the 2nd floor. If not able to do stairs they slip you in stage level by the door then assist you to your assigned seats after intermission. They'll even give you a synopsis of what you missed. Hats off to the ushers!
Cory Couture: We went to see the matinee performance of "Made in Italy yesterday. I was so impressed. Daniel Curalli was spectacular. I haven't enjoyed a performance like they ever. It's a one man show. How he jumped from character to character was incredible. I laughed so much plus it was also moving and choked me up too. It was written so well. Definitely check it out. You will not be disappointed. Daniel Curalli is an amazing talent.
Nigel Kellett: Efficient , great small theatre space. (I'm guessing seats about 300 ish) bar service very reasonable and seating comfortable.
Ben Inglis: Great live theatre, every seat is good. Just saw Made In Italy, highly recommend it.
Robert Suranyi: Trying to find parking on a Saturday afternoon for a show is very stressful. It is much better to use public transit and avoid all the traffic at Granville Island.
Robert Fawcett: Went to see Made in Italy last Thursday night. Great one man show. Lots of laughsStaff were available to assist with questions. Try and see it before it goes,!
Jennifer Gardner: The front of house worker was SO KIND to me today. I have my 92 year old mom visiting and I bought tickets for us to see Made in Italy for March 27th. Somehow, I made a big mistake and booked tickets for the 20th! The woman dealing with me was so understanding, and so empathetic. She found tickets for us to attend on the 27th. I am so grateful !
Muff Hackett: We have always felt that Arts Club shows are great value - the staff are incredibly helpful and we always come away with something to talk about.
Natasha G. Laine: The creativity and professionalism of the staff here is great. I only wish it was easier to find parking here.

Queen Elizabeth Theatre: what do users think?
Ponda Baba: I've seen countless concerts there, and it is a fantastic venue for both plays and concerts. Great view points and ample leg room even for tall me. One of Vancouver's gems.
Gal N: Nice theater with good acoustics and lighting system. The place is not fancy. I strongly recommend coming in warm clothes because the air conditioner in the theater is freezing. I came to the performance of the musical Cats and I really enjoyed it, a performance at a very high level. The show started around 5 minutes after the hour it supposed to start. There is a restaurant near the theater, reservation in advance recommended.
Swaminathan G: Nice place but pathetically small chairs with no leg room space for such a pricey location... Spend three uncomfortable hours with my long legs there..
REZA BAKHSHANDEH: Unforgettable night
Naser: Nice that can see show for kids here too!
Ali N: Great theater with good view from all seats.
luis medina: Excelente
Georgiy “VanKluv” Kluv: If you love Opera you must visit Van Opera
Alonso Santillan: Excellent
Angelina Lukac: A beautiful theatre.
Emanuel Ben Neriah: Nice place, good view, good sound, well organized
Daisy Schreuder: Nice venue and friendly staff. But regarding parking.. so you actually pay extra if you choose option 1 as QE event. We paid regular rate and it’s $3 cheaper for the same time frame. That doesn’t seem right. Also it’s not great idea to sell popcorns at a piano concert. Non stop crunching sound during the whole performance. Very disrespectful to the artist.
Elliott Grubner: Nice venue, great sight lines. Easily accessible.
Sara Bureau: The theatre itself is lovely, but considering how high of a demand there was for food and drink before and during intermission it was very disappointing to see that they didn't have all the food/drink stations open. We didn't have enough time during the intermission to get anything despite going out as soon as the doors opened. I was thirsty and just wanted a bottle of water and couldn't get one.In response to the owners responding, I was there on the evening of the 9th of December.
谢俊: Large-scale opera theatre in Vancouver downtown. We listened The Flying Dutchman. It was fabulous! Will go for next operas
GeO: Beautiful Theater, although a bit uncomfortable seating if you are taller
vida piri: Many memories with this place, many performances that made me smile
Ermia Aghaie: I love this place
May: We saw the Flying Dutchman opera. The show was incredible, however the seats are a bit small in my opinion and my sciatic nerve was not having a good time, I couldn't stop fidgeting to ease the discomfort. I like that there is a ramp for those that need it.
Brandon Chang: Good atmosphere

Stefan Alexcee: Yvonne Wallace did a tremendous one women show last 3 nights go see this play
dreamspeaker13: Great ppl and very comfortable environment
ShaZaM 604: I’ve been a subscriber for years for the great shows the Cultch curates.
Noah O: Wonderful theater, full of wonderful people, that put on, you guessed it, wonderful shows! Find something your speed or go see something new!
KJ P: Good atmosphere and nice, cozy viewing (even near the back). Chairs became a bit uncomfortable after a while, and the triangle rail guards was also uncomfortable to lean on.
jose castillon: Nice show
Dave Decarlo: Awesome Staff and Beautiful Artwork by Rojina Farrokhnejad and Definitely Recommend to see this Fantastic Artshow 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
Jean-Pierre Charland: Beautiful old time theatre. I look forward to seeing more presentations there.
Vesna B.: It's one of the best theatres in Vancouver and it shows very diverse performers and performances.
Jen S: Have been to the Cultch twice now for the Cave & Little Willy and seen 2 Cultch offerings at the Playhouse (Sacre & Animal), I have to say that not only is the Historic Theatre a great venue but calibre of shows provided is far beyond what I’d expect of a theatre of its size. Always unexpectedly good, we’ve never seen a show worth less than 4/5 and we a quickly becoming regulars!
CM S: Gorgeous space. No bad seats, totally charming. Concession with drinks AND swag. Great location near lots of bars and restaurants
Heinstrung: Rope Access Solutions Chris Heine: Get geeky and East Van vibes. Head here for great plays
denny bilac: clean theatre with gteat staff
Jason Lee: Came here to watch Bad Parent. Great play and great venue. Very intimate. Wish they could fix the squeaking chairs though as it affected the play a bit.
Tom Chin: An incredibly intimate, fabulous venue for theatre or music! How do you beat the built-in acoustics or theatrical ambiance of an old converted church?Add great staff, a great program/gallery supporting local artists, a great adult refreshment bar and you have a complete entertainment package for the night! The Cultch has had a longtime unparalleled history of eclectic, well-produced shows ranging from Dave Von Ronk to episodes of Fawlty Towers to an outstanding premiere of Clean/Espejos, and the current Bad Parents. Kudos to Cultch for a dazzling array of shows reflecting the diversity of Vancouver and for validating the belief that equal expression of all cultures enriches us all!
Jeremy Arbuthnot: They always have interesting shows and art on the walls. They have drink specials most nights for 30 minutes after the doors open. Fantastic new all gender bathrooms!
Tyler Blair: Great space and the patio is an awesome quiet local spot for a drink in the summer
Peter Syracusa: Great place! The show, "How the West was One" was fun!
Mara Coelho: Wonderful theatre!
Paula Darwent: There isn't a bad seat in this small theater!
isaac oommen: Fantastic acoustics
