Karen McRae: Second time I purchased from this store. 1st experience in 2017, spent over 3,000. Service was great. My purchase today? Worst customer service ever. Purchased a 1400.00 chandelier off the floor and to give the sales rep time to pack it up I said I would return later in the day to pick it up. But they “ran out of boxes” so they packaged it up in an old Amazon box and a plastic bag!! Then told me repeatedly to lay a towel down when I unpack it…great. Parts were rolling out of the plastic bag just laying the bag down in the trunk. They gave the impression that they could have cared less if I shopped there or not, so in the future I won’t.

Alex Bullock: I bought a full setup of Legrand Adorne Wifi switches and dimmers from Luminosa a few years ago. They were very helpful and knowledgable with getting my order organized and verified (150+ pieces). I need to reconfigure a couple of switches today and returned seeking a couple of small parts which they were able to provide me instantly and at no charge. Fantastic service that was very much appreciated.

Rocky Mountineer: A real working store PACKED with lighting spare parts. Friendly staff. No place to sit while waiting for one of those “special time consuming no money to be made” customers.
Craig Listel: Very friendly owner but be aware there are no lamp parts for sale here. It is a repair shop not somewhere to find replacement anything. Maybe at one time at their larger older location but not now. They need to update the website
Suzanne Walker: I am extremely happy with the gentleman who fixed my lamp. This lamp was part of a set of 2 which I had for the last 10 years. The electrical corde broke down at the switch. I thought it would be easy for me to undergo this repair. Bought a corde and rushed home to fix it. Unfortunately, I couldn't access the connectors location. After calling around lamp stores I was advised to take it to Lantern Lighting Company. Got my lamp fixed without a problem. Loved that lamp.

Catherine Solski: Yesterday I took in my camping lantern in for a new bulb as the one in it wasn't working (or so I thought). Sam tried a couple of bulbs of more or less similar size but the light they gave out was much lower than what I remembered. Patiently, Sam "fiddled" with the connections in the lantern and finally - voilá! - my old bulb was working like a charm. Thank you so much, Sam, for your persistence and impeccable, friendly service!

Karmel Leor Greenfeld: Sam solved my lighting problem in under 10 minutes for $24. I was just about to drive four hours, have to drive to Chilliwak and spend $700 on an entire new lamp when he found the perfect solution, a brand new globe to cover the bulb, made it easy and stress free and provided service with a smile. Thank you Sam and Lantern Lighting!

David Grigg: This is a good man who is very fair. I have bought lamp bulbs from him not attainable at the big volume stores and he fixed my lamp even though the Italian maker seemed determined to produce a lamp that could not be fixable.

Kevin Crowe: Needing a specialized Panasonic bulb I searched in vain at all the major outlets and an online search sent me to Lantern. I should have called first since there was no answer at the door at first. Once in, I realized that this store was the opposite of the Big Box stores I had been to. Stacks of boxes pilled randomly and parts for this and that everywhere. Sam(?) recommended an adapter and LED filament lamp as a replacement. The search amid the boxes for the adapter began, first this pile of boxes and then another. He persisted. I almost gave up. Glad I didn't. Both bulb and adapter work better than the original and cheaper. An unusual but positive shopping experience. Thanks.
Marina Brown: This place is often not open in the hours it says it is open. I have gone by a number of times and all the lights are on but nobody is there. Wastes a lot of one's time !

I have attempted, on NUMEROUS occasions to get info on repairing my lamp, I get ZERO response. I've called and e-mailed. When I called about the part that needs replacing (I even checked the internet to make sure I got the part name correct) he had no idea what I was talking about and asked me to send a photo....which I did....twice! Yesterday I called, he said he would check his email (huh??) and send me a response. So far, nothing.

Terrence Cheong: Great service when I first came in but when I went to open the boxes one of the lights were a wrong colour. Drove all the way back from downtown to Richmond to get the correct colour trim and Joanna would not give me the correct colour trim without the old one. Made me buy a whole new light and said it's not their fault that it was mismatched, claimed it was the manufacturers fault. Check all your lights before leaving because the sales clerks here won't be very helpful.
Matt Ferguson: Our bathroom vanity LED light burnt-out and I was concerned because it is a sealed unit (meaning you can't just replace the bulb) and I didn't know if I could find the receipt. A quick call to the store and they were able to find the purchase via my phone number, confirm it was purchased ~1.5 years ago, let me know it was under warranty and I could return it. 30 minutes later I was in the store and after a quick test, was on my way with a replacement. Really appreciate you standing behind your products and the friendly customer service.

Gurpreet KB: Vancouver Lighting exceeded our expectations! We built a custom home and needed decorative lighting for the entire home. We visited tons of lighting stores across the Lower Mainland but found Vancouver Lighting to be the BEST in terms of selection, quality and pricing. Shoutout to Roopi who went above and beyond.One of the fixture was defective but the electricians already installed it by the time we realized. We called Vancouver Lighting months later and they replaced the fixture with no problem.10/10 recommend this store!
Anna Koniarska: I purchased a light fixture and bulbs from here. I found the employee's were helpful and knowledgeable. They answered many of my questions. The fixture I purchased I am very happy with. Having shopped around, I find most of their pricing is fair. They were helpful in getting the correct size of bulb for a fixture I purchased elsewhere. This location is superior to their Coquitlam location, shop here. Their exchange / return policy could be a bit more flexible but thankfully I have not had to use it.

A. Maler: Extremely poor service. I drove out fromVancouver and paced around the shop for 20 minutes. The women working there ignored the customers the entire time. They hung out by the register on their phones. It’s a very strange way to treat customers. Most of us left without buying anything.The only reason anyone visits a lighting store is because they are specifically looking to purchase something, and willing to invest a considerable amount of money. But here you will be treated like you’re doing them a favour by coming in - and they are not interested in helping you.

Mathias Fast: Exceptional customer service and great selection. I broke a part on a light fixture a few weeks after purchasing. I called in to try and order a replacement but instead they offered me the glass part free of charge. Can not recommend enough!
Ted Lee: I went in intending to purchase a replacement for a 3 year old LED fixture which had failed. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to bring up my warranty records from my previous purchases. After testing my defective fixture, they provided a brand new fixture, saving me $200. I will definitely continue to shop here for all of my lighting needs.

Andrew Bolton: Is different. Many many different lighting fixtures. Some I suggest, have been sitting here for at least a decade. (Can tell by wattage rating on switch). Some not. However, those still seem to be on the higher end of price, for slightly outdated merchandise.

Here I am in November 2021 with little to no help from customer service. They continually gave me the run around regarding time, and say they will "get back to me" with zero follow-up. Terrible experience. Would not recommend this company unless items are in stock at the store.Edit: My item was ordered under my partner's name.
Jan L: Amazing company. I will only get my lighting from the Lighting Warehouse, the reason being is that the customer service is absolutely excellent. They are honest, train the staff exceptionally well, prices are competitive and the owners of the Richmond store are unbelievable. I had an issue with something, and the owner and the manufacturer went to extreme lengths to make me happy. I highly recommend this store.

Dylan Couper: Been here 4 times and in all that time, only one staff member had spoken to me once, including just saying hello. It's like they play a game to avoid making eye contact in any way. I'd give them one star, but they do have a decent selection though their "sale" prices are not really sale prices, just full retail. Prices are average. I'm pretty sure I'll never be back after the last time of being ignored.

VSBC: Courteous, no-pressure service. After purchasing and paid for what I needed, one of the staff offered to assemble one of the more complicated light fixtures as he has some spare time. Much appreciated. Easy parking too.

Ruth Tunney: Very disappointing experience. This might be a great store for interior designers to use as I assume they already know quite a lot about lighting and the look they are going for. However, for a customer with limited knowledge I found the store cluttered and the staff rude (with the exception of the person who tried to help us who was quite nice). They have very little in stock which means they need to order it in and it is then non returnable (with the exception of Canadian orders which have a 30 day return from date of purchase NOT date you receive item). They also seem to be commission based because we had a follow up question and we’re told we could wait for the salesperson originally helping us to “return from break”. My husband and I quickly left and went elsewhere to purchase lights. Would recommend this store only for generating ideas.
E G: Over the years we bought at the Cambie street store several times.Close to 5 years ago a set of under the counter lights with transformer.2 lights recently broke.Went to the store to buy new ones. Dealt with Alex. She checked, found my purchase and ordered the 2 lights under warranty. What a pleasant surprise. Alex pave an eta of 4 weeks for delivery. The lights arrived much sooner and are already mounted.Alex was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Friendly, fast, knows what she is doing. Bravo!

arya 2288: I required an 18W, 12V bulb replacement and the gentleman at the front desk was super helpful. He quickly found out what I needed. Normally these bulbs were available at Home Depot, however because they have been phased out. I’m glad Robinson has an extensive inventory to carry such a niche item. Definitely the place to go if you require anything lighting. Note: they provide each contractor an undisclosed volume discount.
Selena McLeod: Incredibly disorganized service, and all interactions have been very disappointing. First experience I came into the store with a light in mind to purchase, and the store is nicely layed out with a greaty many options to look at, however no reps approached me to ask if I needed any assistance until the store was about to close. The rep that did eventually help me out put together my order but asked me to return the following day to pay and they can box up the lights since it was closing time. That rep over-promised what would be ready for when I did arrive as nothing was ready and the order notes that I saw the rep add to the order no one could see. Reception was very rude when I was directed to them to pay, and then the receptionist just left me there at the desk leaving me to figure out by asking other reps on the floor that "oh, if you have paid then they will be bringing the product to reception for you". When the product was packaged for me to pick up, one light fixture was missing install instructions, and the order not completely put together. I think I spoke to 4 reps and a manager that day.Fast forward a few weeks and I really liked one of the lights I purchased and wished to purchase another. Was able to call in to order another one and pleased that it arrived quickly. Arranged over the phone payment for the light and was told it would be ready for pickup at reception. At arrival no one knew what was going on, it was all disorganized again with 5 reps all trying to help and figure it all out. 30 minutes later they finally released my purchase when it should have taken 2 minutes.I would give zero stars if I could, but 1 star works as their showroom does have a great selection on display.Wouldn't recommend.
Elliot Glassman: Amir, at the Cambie, Robinson location supplied us with electrical and plumbing materials for a recent renovation. Every renovation proceeds with a level of aggravation and we have had our share. Amir showed great character in assisting us when we had ordered the wrong part or when the right part simply wouldn't fit. We are pleased with the results and can't thank Amir enough for his product knowledge and integrity throughout the process.

Harold Lindsay: There are positive and negative reviews. This is definitely a negative review. Pandemics and flooding aside, there is no excuse for our salesperson's, Anne, at Norburn Lighting for treating us with such disrespect by not keeping us abreast of the truth in where and when our shipment for recessed lights trims were arriving. We purchased four housings in early October and had them installed in our new kitchen ceiling. Two trims were not available however we were told they were on order from Toronto. Long story short, we had no customer service from Anne, she would not return our calls as to where the trims were or when they would arrive. Just completely ignored us by not calling or making up stories when we called her. I finally spoke to another sales person on December 19th and found that the trims were only now being manufactured in China and would not arrive until the new year. In the meantime our kitchen ceiling was looking as it does in the photo. Well, Leigh R (if you are still with/part owner of Norburn, and or Robinson Lighting, if you are associated with Norburn, I think that you should take a closer look at some of the reviews and take them more seriously. You can cancel my order for the trims, by the way.
